High 5 did a great job at replacing my water heater. Job was completed the next day after choosing them since their quote was very affordable compared to other quotes. Jose and Michael were both extremely professional. Thanks guys! 😉❤️

Jaeden was the tech who showed up for our plumbing inspection and hot water heater flush. He arrived within the time range set up and I was called when he was on the way. Jaeden was personable, professional and answered all my questions. He offered suggestions on things that needed to be done without the high pressure to upsell me. He completed everything on time and cleaned up after his work area. He was extremely conscious on putting on shoe covers. Would highly recommended Jaeden and High Five for your plumbing, electrical and hvac needs.

Needed a plumber. Hired Corey at High 5 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric. Excellent service from start to finish. Scheduling was easy, he arrived when promised, and the work was done efficiently and at a high standard. He took the time to explain the issue and how to fix it was fixed. Corey was easy to work with and he gave me alternative options too. Honest, professional, and reliable - highly recommended.

I'll start by saying I've used Applewood in the past and have been happy with the work and customer service but after today I'm not sure how to feel. I had a plumber come out to replace a cracked PVB as I mistakenly didn't get all the water out after shutting off the sprinklers this year. I was quoted $1,938 or $1,445 if I joined their "Gold Service" club of which I am already a member of. Knowing that the price of the part to be replaced was $150 I was a bit shocked and asked for a breakdown of parts and labor. The answer I received was that they price based on the job, not based on parts and labor. Being involved in the service industry in the past I know how jobs are estimated and being refused any more details on how a price was reached confused me. When customer service called afterwards to ask how the job went (I did not pay for the repair and will find a more reputable company or fix it myself) I explained the same pricing concerns I had with them and again received the same answer. So all that said, I have made my decision to no longer use this company since I have been refused any more details on pricing. Since the company wishes to withhold this information I am left to assume that "pricing based on the job" equates to making it up on the spot. I will continue to assume that is the case until proven otherwise. For anyone reading this do as you wish when looking for a trustworthy heating and plumbing company, maybe their response to this review will change my mind but until then I this is where I stand.

What a rip off... wouldn't give me a price on the phone for a routine/annual clean out for minor roots. Tech shows up, I describe my main line layout and the need for 115 foot cable, minimum and a 2" blade for a transition from clay to cast iron. quoted me on the spot for $922... $922 because he has to take 15 minutes to add a cable to his auger.. told him to have a nice day and leave.. garbage company

Project Overview On March 9, 2026, High 5 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric completed a same-day plumbing service call at 3117 E Long Cir S (Unit 3117). The project encompassed four distinct but related repairs: replacement of the main water shutoff valve, replacement of the water heater, replacement of the kitchen sink shutoff valves, and replacement of the kitchen faucet. Work affected the home's primary water supply, water heating system, and kitchen water fixtures. The timing of the project was deliberately coordinated to maximize efficiency. The main shutoff valve replacement was scheduled in conjunction with exterior waterline work already planned by the HOA, allowing the water supply to be interrupted at a time that aligned with community maintenance. The remaining repairs — water heater and kitchen fixture work — were bundled into the same service visit to take advantage of the contractor already being on site, reducing the overall cost and disruption of scheduling separate appointments. Contractor Performance High 5 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric (License #189849) completed all work on the scheduled date of March 9, 2026, finishing within a single day as planned. The project came in exactly on budget at $5,964.02 — no cost overruns, no change orders, and no timeline slippage. All work was executed as requested. It should be noted that the reviewer did not have a detailed basis for evaluating materials quality or workmanship against industry norms, and no direct comparison with other contractors was made prior to engaging High 5. The reviewer acknowledges that with more time, obtaining additional bids would have been preferable to establish a price benchmark. That said, the contractor was recommended and the work was completed to the reviewer's satisfaction. HOA & Regulatory Compliance The project was handled in full compliance with townhome and HOA requirements. The HOA was notified prior to work commencing. A permit was obtained for the water heater replacement, which is standard practice for that type of work. The remaining repairs were not subject to permit inspection requirements. No shared walls or common pipes were affected. Neighboring units experienced no disruption, and the shared water supply was not impacted — a key consideration given the coordination with the HOA's own exterior waterline work. Outcome All four repairs were fully resolved on the day of service. No follow-up work was required, and a warranty or guarantee was provided by the contractor. The reviewer confirmed satisfaction with the completed work and indicated they would recommend High 5 Plumbing to others. Summary & Recommendations This was a well-coordinated, on-budget, on-schedule plumbing project. The decision to bundle multiple repairs into a single visit — timed alongside HOA-scheduled exterior work — was sound and likely reduced both cost and inconvenience. The one notable gap in this review is the absence of competitive bids. The reviewer was candid about this limitation: without an apples-to-apples comparison, it is difficult to assess whether $5,964.02 represents fair market value for the scope of work. For future projects of similar scale, obtaining two or three bids in advance is recommended, even if the preferred contractor is ultimately selected. Overall, the project is a positive example of proactive maintenance planning and effective coordination with the HOA.

Not sure what I can say that the other 800 upset 'customers' haven't expressed already. But I'll try... I have found myself in need of a gas leak test as Excel was out and after fixing their leaking equipment without performing any further testing declared that I must get a licensed individual to certify that my home was leak free. I was a bit shocked but okay. I called Applewood and spoke to a fantastic lady that offered to complete a leak test and if anything was found we would discuss next steps. They could even be over just after lunch the very next day. I made arrangements to have the technician met at my home as I am currently out of town. It started going south the next day. They missed the start of the 1 to 3 appointment. I did however get a call around 2 explaining that they were behind and maybe 3 or 4. Since I had placed my trust and can understand that nothing goes to schedule, I waited. Around 4 pm their person said that he could help but he would need $1300 dollars. I blew a gasket. A leak test takes 10 minutes tops to perform. This would be the industry accepted practice to determine if there is a problem and if so, how severe. I asked this professional if he had performed a leak test and he responded no. He went on to say that this is at least a 2 day problem and he would need to pull a permit to perform repairs. He then started listing all the many things my two appliance 30 foot pipe system needs replaced . He made that assertion without testing. He stated he just knew that everything was going to fail.... I just thank God that I was not someone's grandparent freezing in there home with nowhere else to turn. He said some rather profane things at my reaction. I stopped and asked him what I owed him. He actually took my credit card info and left. I called Applewood in a very angry frame of mind. Again the gal that answered the phone deserves a medal. I can only imagine how rotten her day must be. I asked to speak to Joe the plumbers manager. I was told that I would get a call back in up to 3 business days. I hung up as I was in no frame if mind to speak to a human at that point. I called back after taking many very deep breaths and apologized to the service rep for my earlier outburst. I explained that I am looking for what was promised and that I would like to speak to a manager. I did promise this review if I had to wait 3 days I got my call back tonight. That was a fascinating conversation. It went on for a very long time. I'll sum up and yes I'm paraphrasing. 'Applewood has been in business for over 50 years and always behave ethically anresponsibly.. im sorry our rep promised something we are not going raccomplish. We train our people ro the highest standard but phone reps should not be discussing sevice as they just dont know anything about it. She then doubled down on the $1300 but apologized for the way their professional behaved. She was not inclined to perform the services agreed upon nor was she able to give me back my wasted day. Besides I had already made arrangements for the testing to be performed.' If your still with me after all that, it is my recommendation to call anyone else at any price instead of the professionals at Applewood.

We have always used Applewood Plumbing in the past, but after our most recent experience, we will never use them again. Our sewer line at a rental property backed up, and Applewood came out to clear it. They returned the next day with a camera, and when the line backed up again, we were told that the entire 87-foot sewer line needed to be replaced. The quote we received was a staggering $47,000, which included a "relief trench" in the front yard to divert sewage until the line could be replaced. This trench alone seemed unnecessary, was going to cost $1500, and not a standard practice, according to other companies we consulted. We had spent $9,000 just two years ago with Applewood to replace a section of the sewer line and add an access point in the yard. Unfortunately, they left about 4 feet of old piping between the house and the section they replaced. If they had replaced that 4 feet of line, we wouldn't have to tear out and replace the work they did just two years ago. Applewood offered a $7,000 credit for the previous work, bringing the quote down to $40,000, but this was still far more expensive than other companies. After getting quotes from other reputable companies, we found the cost to replace the entire 87-foot line ranged from $24,000 to $30,000--a significant difference. Additionally, these companies informed us of another access point in the line that had been previously repaired and covered up, which Applewood never mentioned. This raises serious doubts about whether the original repair work two years ago was even necessary. This was a big job, but we feel completely let down by Applewood Plumbing and question the integrity of their business practices. I will absolutely never use Applewood for another service again.

Full disclosure: this review is for service I received three years ago, but I hope my experience can help others. Our hot water heater went belly up, and my first thought was to upgrade to a tankless unit. I expected it to cost a bit more, so I set off to get some estimates to compare tankless with a regular 25 or 50-gallon tank water heater. We had some luck previously with Applewood fixing a small plumbing problem we'd had, so I gave them a call. The representative who arrived quoted us $23,000 for a tankless water heater. This was so much money, I knew I wouldn't be able to get a tankless. But my gut was saying that something didn't make sense. They also quoted us thousands of dollars to replace the 25 gallon heater we had, and it just didn't make sense to me. A quick Google search led me to a tankless water heater for $6000. After talking with Applewood about this discrepancy, they charged me $50 for having come to my house to give me that estimate. I elevated my complaint, saying that this was not a reasonable quote, but I was unable to avoid the $50 charge. I paid it, and they gave me a rubber grip jar opener with Applewood Plumbing's advertisement and contact information on it. Part of me wanted to throw it away and forget all about the whole experience, but it turns out that it is the best grippy jar opener In my kitchen! We moved on to another plumber who was able to give us a water heating solution that taps into the water boiler that heats our house, for an economical and efficient water heating solution that is working very well. Applewood made me feel taken advantage of. There are other independent plumbers in the area who are honest brokers. I recommend Mak Vik, for example.

Run -- and I mean as fast as you can -- away from Applewood. Please check the Yelp reviews, Reddit, BBB, etc. They clearly buy their Google reviews. My experience mirrors what so many others have shared. I recently moved to the area and scheduled a standard diagnostic visit to establish a relationship. The technician listed a few issues, but the two most expensive were an AC evaporator coil leak (which they said needed to be replaced) and an inducer motor on the furnace. They tried to charge me $9,300 - let me repeat that - $9,300 for the evaporator coil and $2,500 for the inducer motor. Please research what that should cost. When they called to follow up on the service, I mentioned that a quick Google search showed those prices were absolutely outrageous. They immediately offered to reduce the price by $2,000. Let that sink in -- just saying "Wait, that sounds off" and they drop the price $2,000. HERE'S THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: I called two other HVAC companies to get second/third opinions. Neither found ANY issues with the inducer motor or the evaporator coil. Applewood was about to charge me over $11,000 for things that were completely fine. When I called Applewood to provide feedback, the person on the phone gave the most inauthentic "clutch-the-pearls, wow, that's unusual" response. They absolutely know what they're doing. RUN. RUN. RUN. RUN. RUN.

Stay away from High 5 Plumbing!!! My pressure relief valve went out on my hot water tank, and I called High 5 to come out and fix it. The next day they sent a technician to my house, and I thought he was there to fix the issue. However, he was just like a used car salesman and tried to get me to upgrade to a tankless hot water heater, then tried to get me to upgrade to a home filtration system all for the “low low cost” of $16,000… I repeatedly said no thank you, then asked that he give me a quiet for my issue and get to work on it. After an hour of talking with him he quoted me around $600 to fix the problem, in addition, I find out that he can not fix the issue because he was not a technician and that he would have to call dispatch to have another technician come out and fix it. I asked him to please leave and then I called the company back. They closed the work order and had to reschedule the call for another day. I said no thank you and just fixed the issue myself. PLEASE NOTE….. the new part cost me $30 from lows and it took me 10min to do (after watching some YouTube videos)… High 5 was going to charge me $600!!!!!! For $30 parts and I guess $570 for labor… RUN FROM High 5!! They over charge!!!! Please be on the lookout for your friends and family that need plumbers, DON’T let them use High 5!

Applewood is not transparent and are dishonest in their HVAC Department. Purchased "Gold Membership" and was offered a "Free" Inspection. Which I booked 3 weeks in advance. 8:00 pm I received a call that the tech was too busy to arrive the next day for my "Free" service. After I told them it was unacceptable since they offered this service, they found another tech to come later in the day. When the tech Stephen Richardson arrived he said the call was not free and I would be charged. We argued over the Membership Benefits and he left without doing any inspection at all. I called and was told yes my membership covered this "Free" Service and Applewood would refund my membership and send someone to complete this inspection. About 1 hour I was called back and told Applewood was dropping my membership and they couldn't send anyone. I've been using Applewood for about 5 Years as a loyal customer with no issues in the past. Even recently August 23rd I paid almost $500 to install one GFI Garage Outlet. You tell me if that isn't overcharging?! I never said a word and I've even left 5 Star Reviews. To me Present Applewood is more than happy to come to your house and charge but if you have a "Free" Service they and even their techs do all they can to get out of the call or try and charge.

Hired to diagnose our furnace shutting down. Technician said there was too much backpressure and turned our fan speed down. A little over a month after he changed our fan speed the control board went out. It should be noted that our furnace was only 2 years old. We had them replace the board for over $980, which later we found out the control board was under $100 so they charged around $900 for labor for the 40 minutes they were there. But this still did not fix the issue and our furnace continued overheat and called them back a 3rd time. Still continued to overheat and shut down so called them a 4th time but asked for someone else to come out and the new tech said that he noticed the fan speed was turned down and due to it not getting enough air was causing it to overheat, so the previous tech most likely cost us the $980. Filed a complaint with the BBB and to add insult, the rep at Applewood lied about what they did and said they never adjusted the fan speed and that it was a return air filter that was the issue and once it was removed the issue was solved. The filter was removed during the first call but of course did nothing as the had to come back 3 more times. If you need more proof that they are dishonest look at the disparity between their Yelp and Google reviews.

We are seniors in our 60's so expenses that are unexpected can have a severely negative impact on us. Our job was estimated at $6,074 for a partial panel upgrade and the connection of a kitchen oven plug to our panel. They also gave us an estimate for an entire panel upgrade with this plug installation for over $20k. The man that came out was very nice and seemed experienced and knowledgeable. He had come out when our electricity was down to determine if our electrical problem was on EXCEL or us. He did not charge us for that visit which we appreciated. This gained our trust which now seems misplaced. We had two other electrical companies give us quotes. Both were similar and well under $2k. The Applewood technician missed an existing wire that ran from our kitchen plug to the panel box. We do wonder how someone with his expertise could miss something like that. Also, the company that did our work replaced one of our bathroom floor heating thermostat's for free. Applewood charged us $356 for replacing one in another bathroom. Bottom line, beware of Applewood Plumbing Heating and Electrical. They are professional and seemingly knowledgeable but that comes at a steep cost. Keep at least one hand on your wallet and get other estimates!

Writing my experience, and will leave you up to your own decisions. You are welcome to call me if you have any questions; 303-913-9096. Couple weeks ago I learned that our water heater, more specifically, a junction was leaking......this junction feeds in to the thermo coupler. We reached out to Applewood to come assess the situation. They arrived, within minutes and assessment was made and we were told we needed a new thermo coupler. In addition, we were told we needed a new water heater, even though ours was working fine. We were provided numbers; it would be $2200 for a new thermo coupler, this would fix the leak. Additionally, we would have to pay $10k(+) for a new water heater. These numbers seemed outlandish, but admittedly we had heard that Applewood is expensive, but they do provided quality work. However, we were referred to a second plumbing company. This person came out and within 20 minutes he had the repair made, no more leaking, and for only $185.00. The problem was that a washer, that is under heavy pressure and heat, had decomposed. This was it, there was no need at all to replace thermo coupler and no need for a new water heater. Again, let you judge what to do based upon my words.
