Can’t say enough good things about Glenn Plumbing. Patrick and Matt helped us out big time at our business. We had a plumbing issue that shut us down. They got to us quickly to identify the issue and minimize down time. Great honest local people. Highly recommend!

We needed a new hot water heater. Called another plumber, got an expensive quote, and it would be over a week until they could do it. Thankfully, I called Glenn Plumbing for a second opinion. They got me a quote within 45 minutes that was nearly half of what the other plumber quoted and they had it installed by 9 am the next day! Very pleased with my experience with Glenn Plumbing!!

I just got off the phone with Patrick, from Glenn Plumbing. I very much appreciate his time and patience with calling me back. I have been educated, and I am surprised and disappointed. First, the good. The gentlemen who came out were professional and got the job done quickly and tightened the pipes back carefully to avoid leaking and adding cost to the job. Very good. The bad: I was quoted $110/hr plus travel over the phone. Glenn Plumbing will agree with that. We live 14 minutes from their office (we are outside the city). The brought in a machine and ran a snake for a clogged line and had it open in 30 minutes. Then they went out to the van, did paperwork, I guess for 5 minutes and took off. I got a bill for $202. "Wha...?" I went to their office and talked to, I believe, the owner. He talked AT ME. And would not even consider negotiating the bill. Frustrating, insulting, in my opinion. (The office had sent me a one-line bill, so I didn't know what I was even charged for. He said they'd send me an itemized bill, which they did.) I called Patrick, his son. Patrick was nice enough to call me back and explained that sometimes a job takes a while (climbing on roof or under the house, and they have to account for that. I told him ours was a simple snaking of the line), Also he said, that when its anything over 1 hour, they round up 30 minutes, including travel time. I believe, with getting back to the shop, it was an hour and 10 minutes, so they rounded that up. I also paid for their gloves, using their machine, and "excessive mileage." (I had to ask about that too, since we are only 14 minutes away. He said with gas prices high, they charge more for anything out of the city. We are about 7 minutes outside the city. They charge $10 for that.) He said that's the business and they have to charge, and they have been in business since 1914, and I should ask other plumbing companies what they charge: "its comparable." I told him that since I was quoted $110 an hour over the phone, and I got a bill for $202 for 30 minutes of work (probably 1 hour and 10 minutes total work and travel time - 14 minutes from the shop), that he should not be surprised that I am a little surprised. That's MY perspective. He did negotiate the "excess mileage" and credit card fee (which is already on the bill) if I pay in cash or check. .....Ok.... I told him again that I am surprised and disappointed by this bill. (I honestly don't believe it made much difference.) I will do better homework next time, and go to another plumber.

I came home today to see a Glenn Plumbing truck parked partly in my neighbor’s parking space and partly in mine. When operating in a condo community, one should have the common sense and courtesy to park in one space — and preferably not in a space reserved for residents. This was extremely inconsiderate, I had to get out of my vehicle on the passenger’s side because of the way this vehicle was parked.

So my wife called Glenn Plumbing to perhaps detect a drainage issue to our septic tank. The “ Technicians” drilled a 2” hole in lead pipe to septic system and used a snake to unplug. They said it was hitting something? Umm that was the cement block in septic! I called another plumber and they emptied the septic tank and placed a riser for easy visibility to view tank level And they noted possible drain field issue . Received quotes for drainage field replacement and in process of repair. So, I received a bill for 361 bucks from Glenn plumbing originally for them only to drill hole in my drainage pipe to septic “ 15 feet” from tank. I contested the charges but paid. So today, I received yet another bill from Glenn Plumbing for 110 bucks from them “ I didn’t ask them to” take off 8 bolts from a riser which they they didn’t install just to tell me the septic tank was full again .? 10 minutes work ..No kidding. So $ 471 total to these guys for absolutely nothing to improve or solve anything . My new contractor is repairing drain field “AND “ the pipe that was drilled open under my deck and replace with a “ per code “ clean out .. this should have been addressed in the first place .Bottom line to this company. Don’t accept jobs that are not in your skill set. I have pictures of the “ work” ..
