Free Flow Plumbing is the only plumber that we’re going to use while living in the Cleveland area. They are professional and friendly. Small details like taking off shoes without my needing to ask, being as clean as possible (toilets can only be so clean, haha), and making jokes with my young kids. They were on time and efficient. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who asks.

Love free flowing plumbing! John is always saving the day! He’s done work at more than one of my businesses and my own home! Oddly enough, with the weather last week, I slid into a ditch and he coincidently pulled up as a Good Samaritan to check on me and towed me out, refusing to take money. He is just the absolute best! Free Flow Plumbing replaced my hot water heater earlier this year. In transporting the new/old hot water heater to and from the basement, they dragged the dolly with no cushion up/down the stairs, cracking nearly every stair - most in 2 places. They also left a huge mess of mud, snow, and water leaked from the hot water heater, all the way down the stairs and into the basement and did not even attempt to clean it up. They reluctantly agreed to pay to fix the stairs, but when multiple companies indicated that the stair flooring cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced, Free Flow said they will not pay for the replacement. I agreed to have a contractor of their choosing come out for another opinion. This contractor also told me it looks like the stair flooring has to be replaced, but said he would look into it and get back to me within a couple days. It has now been 2 months and he hasn't given me any feedback, and stopped responding at all about 7 weeks ago. I asked Free Flow to help have this guy get in touch with me and Free Flow told me I need to just wait and be patient. I have waited for two months, and Free Flow refuses to tell me how to handle billing them so I can finally get the flooring replaced. I tried giving them a specific date cut off so they could talk to the contractor and get some updates, but Free Flow refused to respond.

He asked me what was wrong and I told him I thought the garbage disposal in the kitchen was bad and word replace it with a $500 garbage disposal without even checking to see if the old one was no good .Charged me $ 45.00 . Got a second estimate on the garbage disposal and ended up not even needing a new disposal

I've hired Free Flow Plumbing (FFP) for the past 1.5 years for all my plumbing needs. Their work is exceptional, bias for action admirable and counsel balanced/wise. I recently hired them to look at a serious water issue that happened during the severe cold snap. I had a frozen pipe that backed up into an upstairs bathroom and down into my living room. Nick calmly and thoroughly investigated the issue and provided sage counsel, never selling me a service I didn't need. He also came back about a week later and determined a primary cause of the pipe freeze, added a water shut off valve and addressed a few other issues. I've also hired FFP to install a new hot water heater, replace valves, future proof a new home, and address everyday plumbing needs. I trust Nick's counsel and appreciate that he answers my very basic questions with patience and respect. If you're working with your insurance company on a claim, I encourage you to find out what kind of documentation your insurance company needs to process your claim, a report with images or just images. FFP is quick to respond to an emergency and keep client plumbing running well. Knowing insurance requirements upfront helps the process. John provided an estimate and followed-up as needed. He was in a minority of plumbers who understood what the problem actually was (back-flow from the city storm system) and provided a solution (installed a 6-inch backwater check valve). The job was more complex than anticipated due to some perverse joining by the original nineteen-20s plumbers of sub-surface drain pipes, but was completed in a timely manner with no impact to the livability of the rest of the household. Dust (read: jackhammer) on the job site was kept to a minimum, with concrete mixing done outside. Only critique regards the two concrete patches applied are much rougher than the adjacent cellar floor (cement?) surfaces. I'll remediate myself or else just put some paint on and "live with it".

Nick came out to diagnose a problem that we were having with our hot water heater in advance of replacing it. He was able to try replacing the thermocouple to see if that would work. It turns out that it worked! This one thoughtful repair cost was $250 versus a replacement that would have cost us over ten times the amount. I requested a tank flush which added $120 to the total and was so thankful that this was all that it was! I have a home warranty program, but rather than wait up to a week or more for a repair plus additional time to get whatever parts that would be needed. Freeflow Plumbing and John and his team are honest and fair. I would highly recommend them for any of your plumbing needs, even if you have a home warranty.

Wow, so impressed. I called super late morning, and John and his assistant came out **same day** (though of course this may not always be possible depending on the day) to snake a very clogged shower drain in an old Cleveland Heights house with badly configured plumbing. Price was very fair. He was fast, efficient, and clearly knows what he's talking about. We have already scheduled a date to have him back to fix some other nagging issues that we let go because we didn't feel comfortable with what other people had told us - John just made sense! I feel like I now have someone I can really trust to work on my century home, as he is obviously well versed in caring for these old properties. Thanks John!

Update January 2026: Our gas water heater failed and started leaking. Another excellent experience with prompt service and a replacement of all necessary hardware and also necessary upgrades with the new water heater. Good pricing and great work. Highly encourage anyone to choose your local plumber over a large chain company. Highly recommend! December 2025 Review: Prompt and fast service. John quickly identified the leak with our toilet and resolved the job in less than an hour after traveling across from a job on the West Side! Highly recommend and we will be utilizing him for any future plumbing repairs.

On Christmas eve a frozen pipe leaked and John took care of it promptly, efficiently, and at an affordable price. He was friendly, and professional, and worked in a very clean manner. He took the time to show me what the problem was and how to take preventive measures to avoid it happening again. I will surely use him on my next plumbing project and would highly recommend his services to anybody for a positive experience during difficult times.

We had called another plumber that kept pushing us back for weeks. Finally gave up and called Free Flow. They were able to come the next day. Nick came exactly on time, wearing a mask and fixed what we thought would be a complicated issue. Turned out to be a broken drain in the tub. He worked professionally and we were very pleased with what we thought was a fair price for the job. Will certainly only call them again with our plumbing needs

I’ve used them for years! Five stars get omitted from the tally thanks to AI, but he would be five stars. He’s a cool dude, does yoga, personable but super pro, honestly it’s a dude I would have a beer with. Prices are in line.I recently referenced him to a business and they loved him.
