Four Star Plumbing and Air Conditioning

Great experience through the entire process of an HVAC repair. Initial estimate was accurate, was kept up to date on the installation date and process. The crew cleaned everything up after installation, it was like they were never there. Outstanding!

Our HVAC/AC unit needed to be replaced. They came the same day I called to look at everything and was able to install a new system within 2 days. The price they gave me was considerably less than another bid I received. When they left we couldn’t even tell they were there. No mess left at all. Professional and honest company!

The guys were absolutely awesome! Super professional and on time, clean, efficient I can’t thank Landon spillars and the whole gang down at 4 star enough!!! 5 stars all the way!

This would be a 5-star review, but... I've used Four Star for both plumbing and HVAC throughout my time here in Myrtle Beach. Today, I had them run a new thermostat wire for my new Google Nest that required a "C" wire that my existing wiring didn't have. Everything went great. Nick is very friendly and good at his job. My issue is the cost of running a new wire, $900! Seems excessive for just less than 2 hours of labor, materials, and service call. The only material used was the wire. Nick didn't have much difficulty running the new wire on his own, even though another tech showed up to assist after he had already pulled it through. I just can't get over the cost of $900 to pull about 10-15 feet of thermostat wire and connect it to my air handler and thermostat! Seems quite excessive. I would think $300-$400 would be reasonable for this job. I will most likely not use Four Star anymore unless they would like to refund me at least $500! *EDIT* After discussing my issues with the extreme cost of the job, I was offered a choice of a refund of $125 or a one year service contract at a value of $180. I chose the refund of $125. The total cost of running a thermostat wire is $775. Still not happy with that cost for a job that took less than 2 hours. Needless to say, they have lost a loyal customer who will not recommend them either. Lesson learned, shop the competition regardless!

This company was very responsive and communicated very well. Scheduling the service request was a breeze. The technician, Mark, was awesome! He had great customer service, answered all of my questions and was very informative, Though I was not happy that more work was required, I felt at ease and confident about having this company return to perform it. I would definitely recommend them if you want thorough service.
