We had an excellent experience with Chris at EAMS Plumbing! He did a great job replacing our water heater—very professional, efficient, and courteous throughout the entire process. What impressed us most was the level of meticulousness. We highly recommend EAMS Plumbing to anyone looking for quality work and outstanding service!
Super nice guys who competed my plumbing job. Very informative with all my questions and concerns answered. Very respectful of my home and property. Removed old scrapy pipes and hauled away. Plumbing now updated to code with all new materials.
EAMS plumbing installed new finishes after tile was completed and it looks amazing! They were professional, super friendly, and worked so well with us through the bathroom remodel process. They did the plumbing work so we could move the bath and tub and vanity location and came in to install the finishes and we couldn’t be happier!
Trying to rip someone off for a simple garbage disposal installation not only makes a business look like he has egg on his face in front of his employees... it gets passed along in social media platforms. Wasting a prospective customers time and good will by aggregious price gouging is the stupidist thing a business owner can do. Christopher Cababe must think the public just fell off the turnip truck. Trying to charge $643 for a simple garbage disposal installation is a business owner trying to rip someone off. I'd identified that the disposal needed replacing, had a towel set up under the sink, a new disposal purchased and was trying to make things seamless and efficient... all to be slapped in the face by a plumbing company owner trying to rip me off. Well, the word is out now... nice job Einstein.
I was disappointed to be quoted $643.00 for a simple garbage disposal installation, which was quoted by the owner of the company, Chris Cobabe. I'll be passing this review along to my community's 55+ google group as well as with the company email address. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. Even I know that a garbage disposal replacement is around a couple hundred dollars to install. Wasted $49- for the trip charge as well as my time. UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES catch up with business owners who are dumb about how they go about the most simple things.
Our small, 61 year old house needed new plumbing. The galvanized pipes and the antiquated pipe layouts had seen their final days. Here is what we wanted replaced: 2 outdoor spigot (bibs), all of our kitchen pipes (except inside), some of our 2 bathrooms (some copper had been previously replaced during older upgrades), our laundry area pipes, water heater piping and the pipe from the house to the water main that was BEHIND our shed. We wanted to add: another outdoor bib and a refrigerator water line with a little box to turn it on and off (better to prevent leaks under the house). I reached out to 4 plumbers. Three showed up to give me free estimates and one no-showed to our scheduled appointment. Of the 3, 1 estimate was $10k, which I received 8 days after the walkthrough. The second was for $5,600 but he told me he doesn't do water mains. Additionally, neither estimate included most of the work I asked for. It was like they took a template from someone else's house and tacked on my address. Chris arrived professional and knowledgeable and his estimate arrived within 1 business day for $9353 for everything, including digging a trench around our shed to replace the water main. As we walked around, he pointed out areas that he would configure just a little differently for a better outcome; he didn't simply look at the number or location of pipes. I was sold. Chris worked around our schedule, which included a vacation. He and his crew showed up on time. They were excellent communicators. They were polite and kind. Most importantly, they were skilled and professional. At the end of the job, there were some complications they had to fix that were not their fault, yet they fixed the issues anyway, and didn't charge me. Chris said the job would take 3 days, it took 3 days. He said they would show up on a date and time, they showed up on that date and time. The crew completed all the work with really great detail and left everything clean. Those little extras that make a job better, that Chris had pointed out during his walkthrough had been done and he didn't "nickel and dime" us, didn't try to upsell us, they just did it. They used standard materials which is copper for anything underground or that would be exposed to the elements and PEX for pipes under our house (in our crawl space. He said it would cost $9353 for everything and he invoiced us $9353...and he guarantees his work.
Chris at EAMS Plumbing is the guy you want working on your plumbing needs! We had Kitec plumbing installed in our home by the builder and it started failing. The water manifold above the hallway started leaking in two spots. I knew I needed a plumber quick! Chris at EAMS plumbing was referred to me and he was able to find time in his schedule to come out the next day and investigate. Chris got in the attic to take a look. He had bad news. The Kitec plumbing was leaking in multiple places and needed to be replaced. Chris presented us with two options. We could either fix the damaged manifold and expect more leaks down the road or repipe the entire house. Chris kept stating how bad he felt for us and everyone that has Kitec plumbing. My wife and I knew that with Kitec plumbing, it is a matter of when it fails, not if! We knew that repiping would be messy, but the right decision so we could sleep at night and not have to worry about water leaks when we leave the house. Chris put us on his schedule and got right to work. The complete repipe took 3 days, but throughout the process Chris was very respectful and kept in constant contact with us throughout the process. He would let us know what drywall or tiles would need to be removed. With COVID-19, I was working at home so having work done in the house should have been a real headache, but Chris was so quiet that many times I didn't even know he had moved appliances or made access holes in the sheetrock. My wife and I both commented on how easy it was to share space with Chris while he performed his work. He also kept the workspace extremely clean, even offering to sweep and vacuum our master bedroom before he left. We were extremely pleased with the repipe job and the work that Chris performed. Chris even made sure to follow up with us the day after completion just to make sure everything was okay and to see if we had any questions. If you are looking for a great plumber, please reach out Chris at EAMS Plumbing!
I had just moved into my home and soon discovered that my plumbing was a mess. I had ABS, cast iron and copper all patched together with poor water pressure. My wife and I also wanted to completely renovate our kitchen and bathroom which entailed moving the sinks, toilet, shower and drains. We were new to the area and we were in desperate need of an expert plumber to help us. It just so happened that Chris (owner of EAMS) lives right across the street from us. Chris is a very trustworthy guy with old school values - honesty, integrity, and a real desire to do things right the first time. EAMS also stands by their work and is completely dependable. I ended up hiring EAMS for a complete replumb with all new pipe. Chris was honest from the start and he let me know that I would be fine with a partial replumb but my wife and I decided to go with all new plumbing. Due to our whole house renovation, it was very stressful to have a bunch of contractors in my home but Chris actually helped ease our remodel by being himself - a genuine and experienced professional that enjoys helping people. Chris was easy to talk to, he listened extremely well and he performed like a seasoned pro. All of his work was neat, clean and done right the first time. Chris never cut any corners, in fact, he even fixed some things that other contractors cut corners on! I know this is a long review but to be fair to EAMS and those in need of a trustworthy plumber, this long review is both fair and necessary. I would refer anyone in need of a reputable plumber to EAMS without hesitation. I can't thank Chris enough. Oh yeah, we also ordered a whole house water softening system that we had Chris install as well. Of course, he did a perfect job. We also had EAMS install a tankless water heater that we love. If you have any plumbing or bathroom/kitchen remodel needs, I highly recommend Chris with EAMS. Call Chris. You'll be glad you did.
I called EAMS Plumbing because I had two issues. Two 'slow' draining bathroom sinks and a leaky pipe in my front yard. Chris and Jared came out and now I understand 1,000% why they have FIVE STAR reviews on Yelp. They're completely deserving. They are honest, incredibly professional, prompt and really good guys. Did I mention HONEST?! Chris the owner let me know why the bathroom sinks were slow to drain... it wasn't the pipes, it was the model of the sink and it's lack of overflow. I had already planned to replace both sinks because they were here when I bought the house and he let me know that changing out the sinks for a drop down with an overflow would correct the problem stat! WOW! He could've sold me a bag of goods and told me that I needed to snake the pipes because that's what a different plumber told me I'd have to do but he'd have to come back in a few weeks to do it because his schedule was full. I decided to get a second opinion. I'm so glad I did. EAMS had a cancellation on their schedule and thankfully for me, they came out to my house the very next morning. Chris said the pipes were draining just fine and replacing the sinks would fix the slow drain. Then he evaluated the leak in my front yard and it turns out the sprinkler pipes are quite old and need replacing, as they were leaking plus the old valve needed tightening. Here's the good part, he advised me that it's much less expensive to have my gardener take care of it since it was part of the sprinkler system and more importantly that that would be much more budget friendly for me.Wow right?! I absolutely APPRECIATED his kindness and honesty to help me save money. Such a good guy! I now know who I'm going to call when I need a plumber in the future! It'll be EAMS Plumbing for sure! Thank you Chris, Jared and Deanna. You all are GREAT!!! Wow! Wow! WOW! Just WOW! :)
These guys responded quickly and got my an estimate over the phone for the replacement of my parents water heater, which began leaking and left them without hot water. I explained to them the situation and that I was shopping around for the best price and they gave me tons of valuable information over the phone about what they do, which brands they use, and why I need each item in order to make sure it's up to code and works for a long time. I was in a pinch and they helped me get the hot water back up and running at my parents and scheduled me in the same day. They came accesses they water heater, removed and hauled away the old one, and came back with the new one and began installation. They are not the cheapest but they are also not the most expensive. The quality of work and materials is unquestionable and the level of service is dealing with someone who actually cares what you're trying to accomplish. Was never rushed off the phone during any of my phone calls. I'm truly thankful to them for helping my parents out of a stressful situation. Stop looking any further and give your business to these folks. They are the best in absolute every category for a reasonable price.
Was quoted a price for 1400 for a main water line fix for 1400 and told it was a fair price for my area and service. The water leak is two feet from the main water line source. This quote was by a someone who is not a technician and told me that 99 for a service call would be charged if someone came out to take a look. The justification was due to herself owning a home and telling me this was a good price range. Funny thing is I don't recall telling her a price range and she scoffed immediately out of the service charge for sending someone out. Which made me immediately out of price range for her customer standards, and I was no longer a valid customer. Sac county already diagnosed the situation, gave me a fair estimate to look for and repeatedly just told me to do it myself. Person told me I was sad for leaving a review of the quote she told me, after explaining this was how I remember who I called and that most plumbers are contracted based off commissions, so you are left on a large network price. She told me she was just an office staff member. Beware of the network gouging and being locked into a price.
Beware - charge by job/not effort - overestimation! Prompt answering service even though 40 minutes before business opening, things started right. Service person showed up right in middle of promised time, also good. I had already looked at two issues, and decided I needed help. Main water valve not sealing and bath faucet leaking. I'd taken plate and handle off of bath faucet. Technician arrives, works on main valve, still a leak. Moves to bath valve, says will need to update cartridge (not a surprise). Bill at 690 after discount. When I recovered from shock, I thought older cartridge this could get ugly so went ahead. Technician takes 30 minutes to go to 'warehouse'. Comes in tightens main valve some more, seems to resolve leak. Starts to install cartridge, takes about 10 minutes.... The final insult was that the plate on the faucet was not appropriately sealed when installed. I'll need to scrape off old putty and reinstall to prevent leaks. I can't recommend them due to overcharge and poor quality work.
How does this guy not have more reviews?! I guess it's true that people mostly review for the negative. Anyway, we managed to buy a house from another deferred maintenance officianado. Every single tap and hose leaked. Every. Single. One. Called Chris for help with two badly leaking valves and a complicated leak on a pvc to metal pipe join at thr water main/shutoff. We're in the sticks and other plumbers wanted money just to come look. Well he came right out free of charge to quote and his quote was totally reasonable. Fixed our issues in no time and was just so pleasant and courteous. A week later we had water coming out of a place it wasn't supposed to come out of and I looked at the little stream and just went in and called. Guys, he was there an hour later and even though it was a thorny fix he tirelessly worked on it until fixed. I put his card on the fridge. It's rare to find someone so professional, prompt, and generous with their time. We are super glad to have found him.
When we bought our new house in Sacramento, we found that the new house had Kitec plumbing and we have to re-pipe our entire house. After getting 5 quotes, we went with EAMS plumbing and 1. Chris was able to complete the entire repipe on time. 2. His quote was less than almost everyone and he was honest and upfront. He was not pushy about the nice-to-haves. 3. We were out of country the entire time and Chris kept us posted on the progress and patiently answered our questions. 4. Chris also oversaw the drywall patching work (he referred us to an awesome drywall & paint guy (Bret Zipprian) who was also phenomenal to work with. 5. When we had a couple of questions 2 months after the job was completed and Chris stopped by our place immediately to clarify our questions. I would highly recommend Chris for your all your plumbing needs (complex and simple) and he will be our go to guy for me and my family going forward. Thanks Chris.
I've had some negative experiences with plumbers before but I was really happy with Chris and his team. The first thing that impressed me was that he was knowledgeable about what he does. I sent a picture of a shower cartridge to a few companies when I was looking for estimates and he was the only one who could tell what it was just by looking at it. He came in person to look at it as well and gave me a reasonable estimate that included parts. He was friendly and professional when he came for the estimate and when he came for the installation. More importantly, he did quality work and fixed the problem. He made it look so easy that I wondered if I could have just done it myself. However, plumbing isn't really my strength and we have a working shower again so I'm glad I got an expert. I'd highly recommend EAMS plumbing if you need plumbing done in the greater Sacramento area.
