This company is honest, quick, and friendly. I have used them twice and received same-day service. Thomas called me every step of the way about a leak and toilet repairs. He sent photos of everything he found. I completely trusted him. Fair pricing. House is in Dallas.
We only have plumbing problems after hours. Not only was DNA the only company that actually answered the phone, but they sent someone out quickly & despite being moderately embarrassed that it was such a simple fix, the guys were professional & helpful. DNA will be our go-to plumber from now on.
Derick and Jacob came out promptly when other companies couldn’t to help me find a leak that was causing significant flooding in my home. They were very personable and took time to explain everything they were doing and costs prior to doing it. I very much recommend this company and will use them again myself if needed.
DNA PLUMBING arrived at 4:44 pm to fox a leak in my kitchen sink. At 4:48 they said the problem was debris in my garbage disposal. He reached his hand in pulled out a small piece of trash, ran water and it was fixed. They left my house at 4:48 pm having charged me $225 for 3 minutes. They needed to use no tools. I am a senior citizen, a widow and they cut me NO BREAK. They also, btw were already in my neighborhood when I called them, so the $225 for 3 minutes was not for gas or mileage or inconvenience fee. Just a good GAUGING!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! EVER!!!!! SPREAD THE WORD!!!! I AM GOING TO TELL ANYONE WHO CAN HEAR MY VOICE AND/OR READ MY POSTINGS.
If I could leave a big fat ZERO for this company, I would. We paid them approximately $200 to come out and test our shower pan for a leak. They were here for 20 minutes and left. They should have plugged the drain and filled the shower with several inches of water and let it set for a minimum of 48 hours to test for the leak properly. They claimed the leak was from old grout. It was the shower pan, actually. Because of DNA plumbing, we continued to use the shower after we regrouted the bottom of the shower, per their suggestion. Several days later the leak from the shower pan leaked through our bathroom floor and into our first floor ceiling. It costs us $2400 for a new plumber and we had to file a claim with our insurance company, the damage was so bad. I contacted the owner and all he did was change the invoice to reflect a leaky shower pan instead of leaky grout! Consumers rely on HONEST plumbers to guide and direct, not steal! It was only after I hired a 2nd plumber did I find out the proper way to check for a shower pan leak. As soon as I saw the two idiot kid plumbers leave after 20-minutes, I knew something was off. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Thief! I also learned they changed their name a couple of times because of issues just like this.
(2) plumbers from D-N-A Plumbing came out to the property to investigate a leak coming from the upstairs bathroom. They were not able to locate the leak without opening the walls and let me know that they will need to do a full leak detection. It took two plumbers (3) hours and they came back and said it was leaking from the wash cloth handle. I sent a handyman out the next day who immediately pointed out that it was NOT leaking from the handle but from the shower valve body. I sent another licensed plumber out to investigate. They also confirmed that the leak was from the shower valve body and they were not able to replicate any leaks from the wash cloth handle at all. They recommended that I have the D-N-A Plumbing come back out to take a look. This time, Montana Payne (a supervisor) and Asa Womack (the Master plumber) for the company informed me that they would come back out and that if the leak was in fact coming from the shower valve body they would refund us the $897 they charged us for leak detection. The went back to the property on 1/25/2023. They called to state that they did in fact miss the leak in the shower valve but still remained adamant that the leak in the handle was there. When I stated that it seemed suspicious that they now found the leak that (2) other parties, one who isn't even a licensed plumber, but also maintained that the handle had failed which would absolve them of a refund. They immediately told me that they would no longer be doing business with me. The second licensed plumber has confirmed, with video, that there is NO leak from the handle. I feel like I was scammed out of $897 and they didn't even repair the issue in any way. My tenants also sent me a lengthy email about how rude the original (2) plumbers were and that they spent a majority of the time outside the property.
Our sewer line became plugged immediately outside of our home as it was later found to have been poorly installed in the first place. The crew from DNA showed up on time and promptly set to work to determine what the problem was. This included showing me what they found with their camera. My true nightmare involved working with my insurance carrier - which is another story entirely. Per my insurance adjuster, I had to call the crew back out to take photos to send to my adjuster. Once the work was approved, the crew sent their contractor out to excavate the part of the line that needed to be replaced. The use of a separate crew to perform excavation work is not unusual- most plumbers to this as it requires different skills, tools & expertise compared to the actual plumbing work which must be performed by certified workers. The excavation crew had to cut through and remove two Holly bushes - which could not be saved. This was exceptionally tough work. Once the excavation crew finished their work, the plumber crew immediately came out and did their work ( replaced @ 8' of PCV and a large 2- way cleanout.) the. The excavation crew returned to bury the work and move all the dirt back. This was a simple but big job which was addressed promptly by professionals in a workmanship like fashion. All crew members were professional and very nice. I am glad to recommend DNA Plumbing.
As a handyman and a homeowner I have come across many plumbers. I have been shocked by many outrageous prices and poor workmanship, and had just decided that plumbers were incredibly expensive and unreliable. I recently was in need of a plumber in my own home and contacted DNA plumbing. Jerrod was very quick to arrive at my home and I felt no judgment or ridicule from Jerrod as he assessed my situation. When he quoted me the price I was honestly shocked. I have had this problem fixed once before and had to pay significantly more than the price that he quoted me. It was because of this price that I asked him to come look at some new construction that was going on in my house and have him quote me a price. Again his price was significantly lower than many plumbers I’d had over. I approved his quote and the work began the following workday. Two days later my new construction that I’ve been dreading doing on my own was completed and the work was quality. All of Jerrod’s plumbers that came to my house were respectable and enjoyable to be around. They answered all of my questions as quickly as they were able to find answers. I have already recommended Jerrod with DNA plumbing to others, and will be recommending him to future clients as well. Adam F. Davis Brace A-Cross handyman and homeowner
Overall experience was really positive with DNA. From the moment I called they actually answered on a Sunday afternoon and he advised me that if I could hold out until Monday that it would save some money (really appreciated that). After the phone call I recieved an auto text to confirm the appointment which was nice so that I knew that they had the appointment in thier system. They were on time with thier appointment and they called as they were on thier way. As they came in they were quick to observe that we don't wear shoes in the house an removed thier shoes with us saying anything. They got to work and completed everything quickly and neatly and walked me through everything they did as well as give me tips if something like this happens again. Both of the gentlemen were extremely laid back and very nice and I didn't get the vibe that they were looking for other things to drive up the cost. They actually lowered the price since I had the part needed. I would definitely call them back again for plumbing work. Oh yeah as I was calling around I noticed the smaller plumbing companies wanted to charge almost double and they said that they might not have the parts. I now know to look for a bigger well reviewed company like DNA (I think they also go by triple crown).
Saw this place has high rating on Google along with a FB group that suggested them. At first, the plumber who came gave a decent quote to replace the bath tub cartridge (for not having hot water). Later they called me saying it'd be more complicated. They would have to cut a hole through the wall and will try their "best" to patch it back. The fix cannot be completed on the same day bc the part is "old" (~ 9 yr old bath tub) and needs to be special order. Because of the special shipment and complication of the work they would have to charge me more. I mean at this point, I just want it done so I reluctantly agreed. A couple hours later, I got a call from them saying it's done and I need to pay immediately. I asked if they can send me an invoice directly from the company and I'll pay from there instead of giving my credit card info through the phone. On top of that, I needed to confirm if the job was done and if hot water was working or not. But I felt pressured to pay immediately so I ended up paying. I felt like, they made up the part that it's difficult to fix and needs a lot of work in order to upcharge me. I felt like they were not honest and it's why I'm not giving them a good rating.
I would like to thank Asa and his team (Dan, Jon, Alex, Jason, Bobby and the dig crew) for a very professional and reasonably priced sewer line replacement. Everyone was polite, knowledgeable and professional. They arrived exactly when they said they would and the job was only delayed by an unexpected 45 degree downturn of our sewer line causing them to dig down 8 feet! The crew cleaned up the yard each day. When it came time to fill in the trench they did all the right things by filling, watering and tamping down the soil so we wouldn't have a huge hump in our lawn. They also brought sod for the trenched area! The sprinkler system was restored to its former glory. Only one sprinkler head needed replacing which was taken care of as well as an outdoor outlet that had a bit more activity than it was used to! To add to the confusion, someone hit our gas meter on a Friday evening in the middle of the sewer job. Not a problem! Jon arrived that evening to fix the problem so that Atmos could come out and turn our gas back on so we wouldn't be without over the weekend! I would recommend Asa and DNA Pluming without reservation.
D-N-A Plumbing is VERY expensive. They took forever to figure out the plumbing problem charging ridiculous amounts with their hourly rate, and host of misc. charges for practically doing nothing. D-N-A are also known as Triple Crown Plumbing - bad reviews there are quite disturbing I was charged nearly $2000 and when I called in to seek clarification, a guy named Jack who answered told me that for any billing questions, I'd could expect a reply only after a MONTH. After telling him that I understood they were busy and I wouldn't take much of his time, he just skimmed through his records saying that home ownership comes at a price and I should not be complaining about charges. He passed the buck on high prices saying his employees deserved to be paid just as I was also paid in my job. He could not offer an explanation for any of the misc. charges that were on the invoice. I told him that many of the charges were never revealed to me upfront and that's why I needed to know where they came from. But he berated me for calling in although I was being polite all along. Finally he just hung up on me..
They are scammers. They came to my house for a clog charge me over $700 didn't unclog anything and told me that my pipes which installed three years ago and the crawlspace have a bend that's why water is not going through and I need to pay another $800 to fix it. I am so glad I did not ask them to come back. I called another company to come and check where the band was. They brought laser level, went through the whole crawlspace, and were surprised that we were told that there was nothing wrong at all. They snake the drain and it opened up for $158. I have spent thousands upwards of about $15,000 with DNA Plumbing. I wish I would've called another plumber to check on everything they have been doing in the last couple of years in my house. Stay far away from these people. By the way for what I've heard their employees are on commission so they screw people so they can make more money not sure if it's true but that's what I've been told
I needed to have hydrostatic pressure testing done /a check of cast iron pipes under my 46 yo home. Had foundation work done couple years ago and was told by another company I would need a full replacement of pipes .. very very expensive project. of at least 25,000. I had used DNA plumbing in past for a few issues and always found them to be professional, polite, and reasonable in pricing. Jordan came from DNA plumbing is currently doing a very thorough assessment of just how extensive the problem truly is. My plumbing set up apparently not "run of the mill" and has posed a number of challenges, yet he has treated this as a not one size fits all project.. personable/professional crew. we are not done yet with full assessment, but I feel confident their assessment and recommendations will be honest and reasonable.
It was such a blessing to find DNA plumbing! My kitchen sink backed up the day before July 4 weekend. We had another plumber that came out charged us $70 didn't unclog the drain and said they wanted to do Hydrojet at $700! They also told us it would cause zero damage to our cast iron pipes which I knew was a lie. I called DNA they came out and unclogged the drain (the other plumbers just pushed the clog further down the line) and said that our pipes were the cleanest cast iron pipes they've ever seen. There was absolutely no need for Hydrojetting. They also told us Hydrojetting can damage your pipes and should only be done when absolutely necessary. They ran a camera down our entire plumbing system for only $250 bucks! Other plumbers charge per pipe. So good to find someone honest!
