Had Boston Plumbing out Christmas Eve morning to clear drain to street . Had 15 people over that night. They were on time and did a great job ! Would recommend them to very one . Thanks Boston Plumbing !
Mike replaced a defective ejection pump for me. Was on time, extremely professional, figured out the problem immediately. Price was reasonable, areas was cleaner when he left than when he got there. Strongly recommend.
I can't say enough good things about Boston Plumbing. We've used them a handful of times and each time they have been prompt, knowledgeable, and fairly priced. This most recent time, we called the day before Thanksgiving for a faucet repair. They were there in about 90 minutes, had the issue fixed in no time, and didn't give us any nonsense about emergency rates or holiday rates, etc.
In 2014 I contracted a General Contractor (GC) to manage the addition of 1,000 sq.ft. to the first floor of my house. The addition included remodeling my already existing first floor, which is about 2,000 sq.ft. The GC hired sub-contractors for different jobs. In Sept 2014, my GC hired Boston Plumbing, named after Daniel Boston, President, to do a plumbing job in my basement. Before I go further I need to mention that I decided to store all of my first floor furniture in my basement, during the 9-month long project, for safekeeping. In September 2014, Boston plumbing was hired to reroute sump pump drainage from my basement. The job was complex because it required drilling a hole through the concrete foundation so that the sump water could be redirected to a dry well in the lawn. Daniel Boston did not complete the work and did not have a back up sump pump with him. He made a very poor decision and re-installed a 15 year old, non-working sump pump we had in a dark corner of our basement into the sump pit. He claims it was working and then he left. I came home probably 2 hours after Daniel Boston left my house. My light switch did not work so I went to the basement to check the circuit breaker. To my horror I saw that my 2,000 sq.ft. basement was flooded 3” deep with sump water back up because the old, non-working sump pump failed after Daniel Boston left my house. Upon discovering this I immediately called my GC and both he and Daniel Boston came back to my house later that evening. They witnessed the damage and helped to life furniture up out of the water. I spoke to Daniel Boston and he is the one that told me he installed the non-working sump pump and that the flood was his fault. I had beautiful furniture stored there that was soaking wet. In particular I had an antique, Queen Anne, Canopy, King Bed that I have had 30 years. Everything was damaged. All wood furniture was warped and some wood absorbed so much water that it “split”. I had to have emergency services come in to clean up to prevent further damage, mold and mildew growth, etc. Some furniture was not fixable and was thrown out. The damage added up to about $20,000. We did not have flood insurance so we appealed to Boston Plumbing to pay for the damage. I did everything I could to keep the repair cost to a minimum. This even included not having some furniture repaired at all. When the claim was submitted, it was promptly denied! The reason given was that Daniel Boston said there were heavy rains in the area that caused the sump to burn out. I called ComEd and they sent me a detailed list of power outages as my address and this was proof that Daniel Boston lied to not have to pay the claim. His insurance company still refused to pay us so we contacted the Illinois Dept. of Insurance and gave them the details and the ComEd report. Finally after 9 long months, Boston Plumbing’s insurance paid 100% of our damage. To anyone possibly thinking of doing business directly or indirectly with Boston Plumbing, think again and decide not to give him business. He is a liar and a person who does not want to live up to his responsibility.

Once again, they exceeded our expectations...Shout out to Dan & Mike of Boston Plumbing!! Excellent, efficient, reasonably priced service! Just had our hot water heater replaced and they were timely, friendly, and quick! After my initial call, Dan came out right away to assess the situation. After hiring them for the job, they were in and out within a couple hours! They even made recommendations on how to most efficiently arrange our pipes/vents and took care of it all for us. Then they took the time to teach us about maintaining our new water heater. Mike remembered me from last time and had a great memory recalling our issues from the last time he serviced us a few years ago! Dan took the time to get to know my kids. Nicest guys really and took great care of us. Hire them..you’ll be happy you did! 😊

Boston Plumbing came to our rescue this week when our water main valve seized shut. It was tightly closed while on vacation and the tap sheared off when opened, leaving the house without water. That's a bad thing when you need to use the toilet or want to wash up. Dan Boston took the call and dispatched Bob promptly. He replaced the tap with a heavy duty line valve within an hour, without a drop of water hitting the floor of our finished basement. Quality, speed, and courtesy with a pristine clean up. And a fair price. Can't beat Boston Plumbing!
Used to replace radiator but should've gone with more qualified and experienced person....no issue really with radiator but since he did it I had continual water coming out of overflow onto garage roof which never ever had before. To summarise, I've had to have a new garage roof costing thousands of pounds. So, polite young man but seriously question his qualifications due to cost incurred resulting from the continuous water ftom overflow which wasn't there before he changed radiator so wouldn't use again for a job requiring a professional.
After getting a absurd quote from a large heating, plumbing and electric company of $633 to install a new garbage disposal which I am supplying, (same make and model) for a 20 minute job! I called Dan at Boston Plumbing. I caught them at a good time because 15 minutes later, Dan and John were at my house. $185. dollars and 20 minutes later we had a brand new disposal! They were neat, clean and respectful. We would recommend them anytime.
Boston Plumbing came out to replace my water heater exactly at the time promised and did a great job. The new water heater was a professional grade Bradford White that is on only sold to plumbers and is made in the USA. After some research I found it is among the best available. Boston Plumbing did an excellent installation, quick, and left the area clean. Their pricing was fair. Great company to work with.
These guys are fantastic. The gentleman who answered the phone was helpful and responsive, unlike the shop I called in Libertyville. Mike was out to our house two hours later and spent a good amount of time trouble shooting our situation. So thankful for the generous spirit behind his work and prompt service. We will definitely call again if we have a plumbing issue.
I called Boston Plumbing when my furnace tech let me know my hot water heater was leaking and cracked. Within one hour they had a tech out here to install the new heater. They were efficient, clean and provided me with one of the highest rated water heaters at an excellent price. I would highly recommend Boston Plumbing to anyone. Outstanding customer service!
Called for an emergency plumbing issue with kitchen sink. Very courteous. Great customer service. Was even willing to work appointment time in between other appointments I had. Came in. Fixed the issue in no time. I called them based on the number of favorable reviews on my neighborhood email list. Great recommendation!! Thank you Boston Plumbing.
Sold me a home service subscription I did not want. Only realized it after recieving the receipt. Presented it as part of the service. Very deceptive. Further aggravating the situation the Plumbers did not show until the following day after scheduled. This is formerly Boston Plumbing now under different ownership.
