Beyond Wow Plumbing & Drains

Zach and Sean came out to install our Grohe water filter/ carbonator and a special drain for our master bathroom sink. I truly appreciate their skill and professionalism in handling our home. They wore shoe covers which is such a rare but greatly appreciated courtesy! I felt very reassured by their responses to my Many questions. Lol. We have used a few local plumbers but I really was left with a positive impression of Beyond Wow Plumbing and their work thanks to Zach and Sean. They had me thinking “Wow could all of our plumbing work had been this easy if we called them sooner?”. I hope to have them back out to install something else for us when it arrives.

I was able to get an appt within a week and the technicians that came out were very helpful in explaining what I needed, walking me through the parts and prices. They had the parts with them and got everything completed same day. They were careful to wear booties inside since it was muddy outside, and my dogs loved them. Highly recommend Weston and Carson!

So, I initially gave a 5-star review because our service tech, Andrew immediately came into our home (before beginning any work) and stated that he and his colleagues were in competition to get the most “5-star” reviews. However, this was my grandmas house where he replaced the 30 year old faucet and this archaic faucet was better than what they installed! I had requested a service call because this thing has been leaking like crazy since “Beyond Wow” installed the replacement faucet and mind you, we had a handheld shower head prior and apparently, they don’t also critically think about if it was a handheld shower before, maybe we want the same thing installed. I came back to my grandmas, to find a fixed shower head installed. Nevertheless, digressing back to my initial complaint (one of many with them and I’m not one to complain), we have never had a faucet leak and when Andrew came back to inspect the leak, he so condescending and curt and said that it’s an old faucet and he didn’t see anything leaking. Funny thing is, I put my sons bucket of toys under the faucet to show proof and furthermore, I conveyed to Andrew that my cats have never been so active in the bathtub since he installed the faucet. He fired back by saying that it is part of the territory on the age of the home and if we wanted to, they could start gutting into the walls, if that would make me happy! At this point, what made me happy was him leaving our home, because this is another person that clearly doesn’t take pride in their work; nor do they care that he actually made matters worse with our faucet! It was just a ball-bearing that caused the faucet to need to be replaced and now, we can’t even regulate hot and cold water, because the whole faucet is “out of whack”! THIS COMPANY IS NOT WHAT THEIR NAME TRIES TO SUBSTANTIATE”!!!!!

They repaired my front yard water main pipe leak back in Sep 2022, and now about 3 years later, the a leak reemerges from the same place. I called them and they said their warranty is only for 1 year. To me, a pipe which is flexible and is buried in 1 ft of dirt should not fail just in 3 years. Poor workmanship or planning by them. The manager did not even want to acknowledge that there could be any poor work by them and she said we are 100% sure we did the work excellent!!!! How can you be sure, and even she was not willing to give some discount to a returning customer who has had the same issue. I will not work with them anymore, and the first time I worked with them I believe they were very pricy. The 2-star that I give is only for for their nice greeting and conversation, although that is important, more important is quality of work and acknowledging possible poor work.

Answering service said they didn't service area they show they have an office. Had to call and follow up myself to try to schedule service. After successfully ci firming they did service my area (and allegedly have an office less than a mile from my house), they also confirmed they could perform the work I was requesting and would have a free service call to evaluate. They required a 4 hour service call window, so I did a a 2pm-6pm window. After taking off a half-day to accommodate, I finally got a call at 6:30pm. The plumber simply told me they did not offer the service I needed (installation of a studor vent because my older house did not have a p-trap or vent for the washing machine drain). He told me at that time that they do not offer the service and he could quote the price to remove the faulting running trap and install a new one. I informed him I was not certain I even had a running trap, to which he said I probably did. I asked that he still come out to assess the situation just so verify. He fumbled around and said he would have to call his supervisor. He called back 5 minutes later and said it would be $12,850 to replace the running trap (that he didn't even know if I had). I asked that he still come out to look at it, and he said it would be $499 just to run a camera. No thanks, obviously a company that doesn't care about customer or the work. Got a local small business to come out that next day, ran a camera for $75 to confirm I DID NOT even have a running trap, and they installed a new washing machine box, p-trap, and studor vent for less than $500. Obviously a company that has grown too big to provide good service - have a 3rd party answering service that doesn't even know their service area, and plumbers that will do anything they can to avoid adhering to the service calls when their day is running long.

Had two leaks, asked them to come fix the leaks. The toilet gasket seal had rotted enough to form a small leak. This is a $5 fix for parts, and a 5 minute fix, was willing to pay for the convenience since my other problem existed as well. The only quote offered was to replace the entire toilet with a several hundred dollar replacement "rebuild". This is despite them correctly identifying the leaking gasket. Simply replacing the gasket was never offered. The kitchen faucet was also leaking at its base, slightly more complex issue that was going to require replacing the faucet. Similarly, the only quote offered was for a "full faucet rebuild", and specifically pushed a "nice delta faucet" for $350. Between parts and labor, the quote for these fixes was over $1800, probably about $1600 too high. I asked for a customer-supplied parts quote (just paying for labor), and not too surprisingly this quote never came. Additionally, my partner at home was asked alot of unnecessary questions about her and my occupation, and it seems quite clear based on the conversation that we were being evaluated as to whether we were someone who would just pay for higher prices than just the simple fix being requested. Pretty bad taste left here overall.

Beware of this company- they will try to gouge you. The technician (Anthony) didn't appear to know what he was doing, after we paid $1500 for him to use the leak detector he indicated the leak was under the walkway next to the driveway and said it would be $10,000 to fix it. When we asked for a step by step of the procedure he was charging this exorbitant amount all he could provide was a vague repetition of what he previously stated. We told him we would get a second opinion before spending that amount of money and glad we did. The second plumber actually found the leak on the opposite side of the driveway where Anthony claimed it was and it was in a planter area which was dug up and the leak was fixed in about 3 hours and cost less than $3000.00. If you use them be wary of their recommendation and question the cost - if you feel it's excessive- get a second opinion.

Had a plumbing issue that cut all water to the home. I called S&D and they had a technician come out within 3 hours. Travis was extremely friendly and professional in his demeanor, the way he explained the issue and the different options for repair. He completed the job quickly and efficiently, taking extra care in his clean up. Afterwards, he did his home inspection to ensure there weren't any further issues with the water system before he left. All in all I am extremely satisfied with S&D's fast response and overall professionalism with every individual I had interacted with. I will definitely employ them again for any future plumbing projects or needs. They're awesome!

Had an issue with no hot water in the shower — usually a sign of a bad cartridge, which is a pretty simple fix. Scheduling was smooth, and the plumber arrived right on time, which I appreciated. But then came the quote: over $1,900 to replace three cartridges. That’s just way over the top for a job like this. After some back and forth, they did offer a $200 discount, but even with that, the price was still outrageous for what should be a relatively quick and basic repair. I ended up not going through with the work. Really disappointed — they started off strong, but the pricing just didn’t feel right. I won’t be using this service again.

Carson and Jason came over to provide a second opinion of some plumbing issues with sewer lines at my property within 24 hours of my initial call. They were professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. Communication was excellent, and their work was extremely thorough. Not only did they confirm the existing issue, they went a step further and identified a second issue that was equally important. They provided a temporary, short-term solution while we consider the long term solution. Not only would I 100% recommend S&D, when the time comes to fix the problems for the long term, I will be reaching out to S&D for the repair in the future.

Didn't end up hiring. The guy quoted a huge price to replace the entire pipe system from the street to the house without looking at the issue with the water turned on. It ended up just needing a leak repaired. They were trying to charge without any knowledge of the issue. Very difficult to reach for follow up questions, as the technician was out sick & then they didn't return calls. They had the audacity to reach out 1-2 weeks later to ask if I wanted them to do the job, which had already been completed by a quick-responding, much more professional & honest company. S&D has serviced three busted pipes at my house over the years. They originally won my business due to their customer service. All these pipe breaks meant water was shut off till they could be fixed which meant we needed speedy service. S&D Plumbing always answered the phone and was the only company that could get me in the same day because they understood what it is like to go without water. Most recently, Esteban C. serviced a broken spigot for us and did a superb job. Every issue has been left better than it was when S&D found it and I appreciate their same-day turnaround.

This is a review of their customer service, I have no idea how well they do the work as detailed below. I reached out to get service in their backyard of Buda. They quickly responded trying to schedule for ASAP, but as soon as it became apparent I was trying to schedule for my rental property, they informed me they wouldn't work with a landlord for a rental property, and they had no one else they could recommend. With this experience, I would never consider using them for my primary residence, let alone consider contacting them again.

Had a leak in our tub and shower area knowing it was either the tub spout or drain. The tech they send tried to charge $560 “diagnostic fee” to essentially find out what we told them the issue was. Also tried to charge a $75 fee to show up. Needless to say we sent him packing. Had a more local guy come out. He was able to diagnose the problem and fix the issue within 30 minutes. It’s was a faulty tub spout diverter and cartridge. Total cost with parts was $200 I would never use or recommend mend this company who charges outrages fees!
