Ask Bill's Plumbing
Plumber · Leander, TX · Open 24 hours per Google listing
Our verdict
Exceptionally fast emergency responder with strong workmanship, but beware of the All-State Plumbing umbrella company trap that caught at least one caller with inflated diagnostic fees.

What reviewers report — the concerns
Other directories bury these. We think you should read them before you call. Every concern below comes from the reviews it cites.
Red flag
Potential confusion with All-State Plumbing umbrella company: at least one caller reached All-State instead of the local 'Ask Bill's' operation, was charged $139 diagnostic fee with vague $489 estimate ('let's hope' it fixes the problem)

Keep it in proportion: these concerns are cited in 5 of the 28 reviews we analyzed. Most reviewers report positive experiences — see the full rating picture below.
The evidence — in reviewers' own words
Critical
“I called this plumbing company because the house pictured is 1 block away from me, and with the pictures of the kids, it seemed like he would be down to earth. Not to mention that the reviews seemed good. When I called the number, it was an "umbrella company" All-State Plumbing out of Austin. They charge $139 to come and "diagnose". I emptied under the sink before he arrived. When he got here, he didn't do …”
Positive
“Great plumbing company. They went above and beyond. They replaced my water heater but also helped me replaceing a outside faucet. Recommended”
“Came at 9:45pm! Very kind, quick, explained everything to me over the phone and again in person. Ben was very patient and had almost all of the parts already in his truck even though this was a last minute call. The price for the emergency service was incredibly reasonable as well. Thank you very much. I appreciate you!!”
