Ace Drain Cleaning & Plumbing

Had a clog that a plunger was not able to clear and I called for help at night. I said it was not urgent since it seemed to be the only toilet effected in the house and there were other toilets that could be used in the mean time but I would like it taken care of as soon as they could get someone out. First thing in the morning, like 7am a man named Ikaika came (showed up right on time!) and was friendly, polite, and super professional. He had it fixed and working again in like 20 minutes. No big mess when he left either. Would highly recommend Ace Drain Cleaning and Plumbing to friends, family, and anyone. I believe the owner's name is Wes - both Wes and the guys he has working for him are masters at plumbing and good chill dudes. Probably the fastest and most pleasant experience I have ever had calling over plumbers. My dad had recommended Wes to me as his "go to" guy and now I see why!? Thanks again Wes!!

I've been a resident of Maui since 1994 and a REALTOR with Coldwell Banker Island Properties for the past ten years. I had an unexpected emergency this past weekend and found a post it note with Ace's Plumbing in the condo. Wes came to the unit and assessed the problem, gave a recommendation to the manager on duty (trying to save them some money) and did this all on the weekend with a family function looming. Wes is the epitome of a "local boy" and is full of aloha and will cut through the BS and give it to you straight. That problem I mentioned, he didn't even charge for his service. I will always recommend Wes to my clients and friends.

The gentleman Lorenzo who came to fix the leak from a pipe of the upstairs unit was very friendly, however, he failed to tell us that they had no intentions of cleaning up their mess. We gave permission for him to cut 2 huge holes above our bathtub for them to access the broken pipe easier. I would imagine anyone would assume that if you are going to cut holes in someone's ceiling, that you would replace it to how you found it. I called the office only to be greeted by a very rude older gentleman {I use that word very loosely}, who was the owner and when I asked when would someone be coming by to finish up what they started {meaning, plugging up the holes they made}. He stated while letting out a chuckle that what? We don't do that! We are plumbers, we don't know about dry walling! Then promised to send me a copy of a bill and hung up on me. No bill came, of course now we are left with holes that our insurance has to pay for when the leak was determined to be the upstairs unit's responsibility. So why am I so upset with them? We now have to pay a $500 deductible for our insurance to start the repair. The upstairs unit's total bill? $75. Had the plumber Lorenzo stated to us "we will be cutting the holes in your ceiling but will not replace it" I would never have given permission and let the upstairs worry about how they would have to access it. I assume by ripping out their bathtub.... But, unfortunately, We were not given very important information from the begging. So be warned to get everything in writing, ask all questions, even if they seem silly to you. Everyone has their own agenda looking out for themselves, not everyone shares the Aloha spirit. Susan
