Sales manager came and checked out our water heater 2 days ago. Laid out all of our options plainly and clearly. Richie came and installed a new water heater on a Saturday and it took less than 90 minutes. Very efficient and informative through the entire process. Highly recommend this company

The technicians from Abend Services were very courteous and friendly and introduce themselves when I opened the door. They were respectful of my property and wore shoe booties while in the house and then remove them before going outside. They took the time to listen and address my concerns and exceeded expectations in their quality service and knowledge. I will definitely be using Abend Services for any future plumbing and HVAC needs. 😀

I have used Abend before they did my waterline out front two years ago and they put in a new HVAC system for me. They came on time and cleaned up nicely. Everybody from the office and the their employees that did the work are very nice.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is by far the most unprofessional and predatory plumbing company I’ve ever dealt with. Every plumber they sent (except the owner, more on him later) spent more time trash-talking their coworkers than actually working. That should’ve been the first red flag—if they don’t respect their own team, why would they respect customers? They even left tools at my property and never came back for them. That about sums up their work ethic: sloppy, careless, and not worth what they charge. Instead of investigating the issue, they jumped straight to diagnosing the most expensive repair possible. It was clear they cared more about padding the bill than fixing the problem. Their septic tank “repair” was a disaster—they used quick-rotting chains and connectors no professional would ever use, and even reused broken parts. Unsurprisingly, just 32 days later, the same problem returned. I finally called a real septic company, who fixed everything in one visit. When I tried to get them back, they sent someone unqualified, who admitted he only installs new motors. He nearly made things worse by setting the motor on the tank floor (where it would fail again), instead of on the original block. Instead of being honest and saying “we can’t handle this,” they cut corners, did dangerous work, and charged premium prices. When the mess finally reached the owner, I expected accountability. Instead, I got empty promises, lies about follow-ups, and no real effort to make things right. They ignored my calls, voicemails, and texts. I was patient and cordial, but they clearly had no intention of resolving the issue. The lack of integrity runs straight to the top. From my experience, their business model is simple: push new equipment installations instead of repairs. They act like experts, but they’re pushy salespeople pretending to be plumbers. They’ll blame “incompetent” coworkers, claim everyone else uses cheap parts, and talk a big game—while doing cheap, sloppy work themselves. Exhibit A: My house is less than 2 years old, and during a visit, the plumber called the office (the owner’s wife answered). I overheard her say, “change out the rods in the heater.” The plumber admitted I didn’t need it—the water was clean, and the heater was too new to require that. They were literally trying to sell me unnecessary work. So why did I keep calling them over the course of a year despite the red flags? Because I believe in second chances, and they were fast to respond. But responsiveness means nothing if the work is predatory, deceptive, and incompetent. The whole bunch is rotten. In short: they don’t fix mistakes, they cover them up. They’ll exploit emergencies, charge professional rates for unprofessional work, and then ghost you when their “repairs” fail. Stay far, far away.

Choosing this Plumber was the biggest mistake of my life. If I could give them negative stars I would. We had a clogged kitchen sink we called them on a Thursday night they said they would be at our house at 10:30 Friday - they were almost 2 hours late. They attempted to snake the drain and said "it was like hitting a brick wall!" Said they would need to come back Monday and cut pieces of pipe to find the clog - I asked repeatedly if I could see the clog - they assured me I could!! I did ask if the kids making slime could cause it - the younger plumber assured me that it could and especially if made with Elmer's glue. The old man said yes that is making sense now. I informed My granddaughter no more Slime!! They came back Monday - late again and then quickly left claiming they forgot something. They came back and cut out the pipes. Not once did they offer me the opportunity to see the clog. I literally had to go outside and request to see it. They showed me pipes with what they called clogs it appeared to me to be a soft pink nasty smelly mess. But when I literally picked up the pipe the mess fell out onto my lawn. I questioned them as to why a snake couldn't go through something that soft and mussy. The older man got very defensive which makes me feel like I hit a nerve with him. He began talking to me as if I were a child at which time I removed myself from the situation. They sent an email asking for a review - I gave them a bad review which I feel they truly deserved. Now on Wednesday the owners wife called and spoke with my daughter - she literally had my daughter in tears. She then called me and I wasn't able to get a word in edgewise- she raised her voice from the first sentence and continued to talk over me which was resolving nothing she kept yelling we have been in this area for years and we know people. Not sure if I should take that as a threat or what - I chose to end the conversation and hung up on her and will not have another conversation with the likes of her. If customer service means anything to you then you 100% DO NOT want to use this company. As for their actual plumbing work I can't say yet if it's good or bad but I do feel they took advantage and claimed the issue was more than needed to be done in order to pad their bill.

I'm a little late on with this post but Pasadena Plumbers is the best. On a Sunday morning, the day after we got home from our summer vacation, and with a week's worth of vacation laundry ready to be washed, we discovered a leak behind our washing machine coming from the main pipe feeding our house. I called Tony and he was at my house in less than an hour. However, before heading over, Tony asked a bunch of questions and wanted to make sure he was fully equipped to fix what he diagnosed over the phone. I was curious and spent the entire time watching and asking questions. He didn't just patch the leak but gave a considerable amount of thought making sure it's fixed permanently. Tony uses the latest in plumbing technologies. (I'd love to explain what he uses but he's the plumber not me.) For a Sunday morning emergency call that could have gotten much worse if it hadn't been repaired that day, Tony's price was very fair. I highly recommend Pasadena Plumbers.

I recently requested that Abend Services replace my sump pump, and I could not be more pleased! The price was very reasonable, and they were able to schedule the work quickly. From start to finish, the service was top-notch. Jessica in the office was incredibly kind and helpful, making the scheduling process a breeze. Richard, who came out to do the work, was courteous and professional, putting on booties to protect our carpet (something I don’t see from every service provider). He completed the replacement quickly, did a fantastic job, and even fixed issues caused by the builder that had been harming my old sump pump. Because of this extraordinary service, I’ve decided to switch to Abend Services for all my plumbing needs going forward! Thank you, Abend Services! — Rick B.

I would like to give special thanks to Matt & John from All American Plumbing. My whole interaction with all employees from this company exceeded my expectations. Starting with Tara, the receptionist who set up my appointment, to the professional, friendly job the two technicians completed. I was notified of their arrival time, and was most impressed when they arrived wearing masks ' putting on shoe covers before entering my home. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to all who are longing for a plumbers who are both knowledgeable and professional in their workmanship.. Thankfully, Bob & Linda G.

Super prompt (called me back within 10 minutes, showed up within two hours), gave excellent advice, and seemed very knowledgeable. Ultimately it was $275 that I could have avoided if I were less impatient and waited for my new longer snake from Amazon, but I've got a tiny baby and honestly it worth it for the advice and root cause analysis of my ongoing drain issues. Very happy to help out a local family owned business, it was nice to see young guys getting into the trades and taking the work seriously. EDIT - not sure why this thing thinks I'm in California. I live in Pasandena, MD.

Pasadena Plumbers ripped off my friend yesterday for $185.00. Showed up for a service call, handed her a bunch of business cards and ask for a good reference before they did anything! They did zero work, zero repairs, looked at her sump pump(which was operating correctly) and then billed her Almost $200 for just showing up! My friend is a recent widow with children, on a fixed income and shouldn't be treated like this! I would seriously avoid using these scam artists if you have a plumbing issue Pasadena plumbing 4512 mountain rd

Before calling Pasadena plumbers we had two other plumbers come to our house. The first one sabotaged our plumbing ( read my review) the second one changed the filter in the shower but didn't solve the problem. The Pasadena Plumbers fixed the problem and now we have water in our guest shower. They were on time, kept us informed, reasonably priced and offered to come back and install the faucet set. We will be calling them again when we remodel the kitchen. I love when local businesses give me a reason to brag about them.

Abend plumbing service is definitely a 5-star company. I came home from out of town to no hot running water and Abend was able to service it the same business. In addition, the tech - Dave K.- was very professional. He arrived early, explained the diagnostic thoroughly, and provided me several service options that best fit my needs. My hot water was working again in no time. I would definitely recommend this company and they will be my 1st call for all my plumbing needs going forward.

I live in Bowie Maryland. I heard about Abend Services from a friend. Abend Services is an HVAC and plumbing services company in Severna Park, Maryland that has been in business for 73 years and was voted “Best of Annapolis Plumber” in 2025”. They repaired my shower and did a great job at a reasonable price. I was so impress with their work that I purchased an annual HVAC and A/C maintenance agreement. I give Abend Services 5 STARS.

I hired Abend Services when the sewer main in my very old home had failed. The whole Abend team was excellent to work with. They did a huge excavation project and installed a brand new line and also did numerous repairs to the plumbing bits and pieces in the crawlspace. I hope I never need a plumber again, but when I do I am absolutely calling Abend Services! Overall, I give them 10 out of 10, two thumbs up, and a solid FIVE stars!!
