Bill did an awesome job diagnosing my problem and coming up with a solution with my landlord that didn't involve any delays. Was able to repair my rotted waterline in no time. Feel bad cause it was so muddy but he powered though no problem! 👌

These guys are the best, I always call them for help with my house and they come out fast, they keep in touch, the plumbers are great and very knowledgeable and friendly. Today they helped replace a very corroded and rusted (falling apart) kitchen faucet with this nice new one. I know the guy had a hard time so I appreciate the good work. Thank you!

I called A-1 Budget Plumbing this morning and Justin came this afternoon! He initially came to fix my leaking toilet tank, then I asked if he could check my basin faucet. He was so patient and such a super kind person. I got my toilet fixed and a brand new faucet too!!! He had all the parts he needed for the job in his van! Mahalo plenty Justin. I appreciate you! And to the woman I spoke with on the phone who fit me in today, big Mahalo. Happy New Year!!!

A-1 Budget i spoke to one if not the only female dispatch and honestly sorry, but you need to hire someone with a better personality and customer service skills. Horrible customer service!

Plumber Juan came this morning. He inspected the service area for 15 mi . I told him the cost of repair does not justify the benefit. I told him I'm willing to pay him for the visit. He came back and charged me $150 for a full hour of service even though he didn't do any work. He called the office and the office insisted charging me a full hour of service. I told the office I was willing to pay $100 for the visit because of the extra wait time. The office person told me not to call them again and hung up. The repairman left without getting a penny.

Finally today we received phone call from A1 budget plumbing's manager Matthew after we made claim to their office. Why we need to talk to manager? it was our experience with them... One of the two sinks in the bathroom had very slow drainage, so I called A1-Budget Plumbing to fix the problem. This was the second job we did with them. The first job was quite expensive, repairing the kitchen disposal and the plumbing that connected it. I expected the plumber would snake the drain, so I removed all the things around the water pipe below the sink in the washroom and prepared it so that it was easy to snake. The plumber who arrived was the same worker who did the work in the kitchen. He just took out the stopper of the washbasin and removed the dirt. He didn't even remove the U-shaped pipe under the washbasin, so he didn't clean out the pipe. His work time was only a little over 20 minutes, but the charge was a minimum of one hour's work. We asked the plumber, "Don't you want to snake the drain?" We felt his work was not professionally thorough. The plumber replied the was reluctant to snake the drain because of a risk that the snake might punch a hole in the old, weak pipes in our building. Both my husband and I were puzzled by the answer and saw him off with a feeling that somehow didn't make sense. After he left, we did a test: we filled the two washbasins to the same level and opened the stoppers at the same time. Then it took three- to four times longer to drain the problem washbasin, even after the plumber's work. We immediately contacted the office and told them that the drainage was not improved. A-1 sent out a different worker anther day. At first, the second plumber tried to convince us there was not a drain problem. Finally, after we insisted and repeatedly showed him the comparison in drainage between the two sinks, he agreed to snake the drain. He also cleaned the U-shaped pipe that the first worker did not do. After the work was completed, we checked the water flow several times and compared the speed of the drainage of the two washbasins to confirm that it was the same. My husband called the office objecting because he had to pay for the work twice for the same problem. He was told that the manager would respond, so we waited for his call, but there was no call. My husband called again asking what was going on the next day. The woman who responded interrupted my husband's words, was abrupt and did not want to listen to him. I've read another review by a customer who was similarly charged twice in the same sort of experience as us before. Is this typical of how A-1 does business? Just after I finished writing this, the manager, Matthew, called me. He had reviewed our complaint and agreed it was justified, apologized for the extra charge, and promised to refund the duplicate payment for additional time. We also paid the snake fee, as originally agreed. He also apologized for the delay in contacting me because he was busy and didn't have much time in the office yesterday. We were on the way to convey our doubts about the condo management's recommendation of A1 Budget Pluming just when Matthew called. In fact, I have a plumbing job scheduled in July, and I thought I couldn't use A1again. But just before my husband and I put our hands on the office manager's doorknob, Matthew called me and maybe it was an opportunity for us to trust them again. In the end, we went back to the room without telling the condominium manager about this matter. Matthew said that he would respect our concerns and proceed immediately to make adjustments. He said that feedback on his work was important, so he would read this review. I hope that going forward, the give-and-take relationship will continue to be fair.

We have used these guys for our homes over the years, but after today I will never use this company again. I called on a Wednesday for a leaking hose and had to wait until Saturday -- and because of that, I was forced to pay the weekend rate. When the plumber finally arrived, what should have been a 45-minute fix dragged out to nearly two hours because his drill was NOT charged. He still didn't finish the job, and I was told someone would return later to finalize the loose screws (a 3 second fix)...Literally possibly a 1 sec fix. Almost a week later, they finally sent another plumber on a Tuesday. Instead of treating that as the continuation of the unfinished job (they only allegedly needed a charged drill mind you), they tried to bill me again. When I refused, the guy I spoke with (pretty sure his name was Matt, he was super condescending, rude, and threatened that they might not service my properties in the future. I had to process that nonsense for a nanosecond, before responding to him verbatim, "don't worry we WON'T be calling you ever again." When I take a bird's eye view of everything, the plumber who initially came was using the drill, it was "on" yet he was telling me it's not charged as I was watching it whir about?! Uhhhh ok, no charge, got it... so I guess you can't screw in the 2 screws all the way... It was annoying, but I figured easy breezy fast return fix at logically zero additional charge and since it was outside I wouldn't have to stick around for the 4 - 5 hr waiting window. Didn't pan out that way though. ln summation, I paid $324 for an incomplete repair, wasted time, and offensive communication. If you value professionalism and accountability, not to mention price transparency look elsewhere... These guys are under the misconception they are some shiny unicorn operation. They also tried to come back after " completing" a job the week before at my rental property and my tenant said, "no, that won't be necessary." I'm starting to wonder if it's a tactic or modus operandi? Hmmmm? Anyway, there are other plumbing companies out there! Moreover, this is a small island, the coconut wireless will light high maka maka operations that overcharge and under deliver up, while also being rude?! Spare me... I'll never use this company for our properties again. My fiancée also manages over 170 properties throughout the island. I called her right before writing this review I was so pissed off. Again, this was after being force fed the weekend rate.

Extremely disappointed in A-1 Budget Plumbing. We recently needed to have a water shut off valve replaced outside of our home and scheduled A-1 Budget Plumbing to do the work for us. The work required a plumber to dig a small hole, turn off the water, replace the valve and turn back on the water and re-fill the hole. A-1 Budget Plumbing was advised and understood this. A-1 Budget Plumbing arrived on a Friday, proceeded to dig a much larger hole than needed, throwing the dirt/grass on the sidewalk (making a mess) and when the valve was exposed the plumber said to us that he needed to leave because the company had him scheduled for other jobs and would not be able to come back until Monday. Leaving a large hole right next to the sidewalk over the weekend (which is a liability issue) AND being unable to finish the job he was scheduled to complete! (I took off of work for this?) What made matters worse is that the plumber charged over $300 for digging the hole (and doing zero plumbing work) and LEFT. That's right, straight up evaporated; with promises of coming back on Monday. We called the company, who's office manager aligned that the decision for the Plumber was in accordance with their processes and he was booked for the day. So despite being advised of the work prior, having a scheduled appointment and making sure that I was home to assist if needed, none of that mattered because he was busy and therefore procedure is to abandon the job for the day and come back later while charging us $300 in the meantime for just digging a hole and with additional charges when he "comes back on Monday" for the actual plumbing work. I do not know about you, but I do not think its appropriate/good business practice/customer service or even common sense to leave a pre-scheduled job half-complete. Its not like this was a major commercial job or anything out of the ordinary, it was a simple residential service call. I ended up calling another plumbing company who solved the issue in about 45 mins and was much cheaper. Never using, advising or speaking highly about this company. AVOID. Call someone else.

Ok. When your man is out of town. And all your guy besties are too busy, who you gonna call? A-1 Budget Plumbing! I thought kitchen garbage disposals was for almost everything! well, I only threw in a few sliced baby carrots and oh well, the rest is history! After my plumber failed me at the very last minute ystdy, I went scrambling for another plumber and even though I had to painlessly wait overnite, the wait was worth it. A-1 Budget plumbing to the rescue. Prompt. Friendly. Fast. Reasonable. Weekend service too! I say their technician Duke, unplugged my drain within half hour. It was so awesome, but the overall service is awesome! I would highly recommend A-1 Budget Plumbing and will use them again if I need to in the future! Thank you Duke for all your help! Update review: Sept 2020 So after a great plumbing service and having the need for another plumbing issue, I called A-1 plumbing again. Fortunately we were able to get a plumber out the same day but not until 3-6pm. At which time the plumber came out closer to 6pm. Again, it was the previous plumber who came ~ Duke, a really nice guy, but couldn't find the leak. And we got charged for a service call. Alrighty then. We were told that his boss would call the following day. The next day, a lady called and said no one could come out but someone could come out the following day of which I had an appt. the plumber came in the afternoon and did a more detailed leak check and have different variation and versions of possible problem shoot. But with this issue, you need a plumber and a general contractor to fix the issue. I'm not sure if we will be charged another service call, but feel we should not be charged any fee since the first plumber did not routine test. So to speak, I'm a little disappointed with A1 plumbing for their service, as the first service provided me was excellent.

We needed to have a MINOR SLOW DRIP addressed beneath our bathroom sink. Our realtor recommended a1 budget plumbing, and we received a call about an hour and a half later. The woman representative informed us they wouldn't have any availability for another two days, and that we would then have a five-hour 9am -2pm wait in which the plumber might arrive. I expressed my concern that this was an unreasonable amount of time to wait, due to it being right in the middle of the workday, and I wouldn't be afforded to take an entire day off. I asked if she would please provide a more targeted window in more reasonable increments. I suggested perhaps 2-3 hour increments, which would allow me to justify the time away from work. The representative's tone abruptly turned quite surly, and she became rude and impolite. She told me that that's just the way it was, and the ours wasn't the only plumbing job that day. I told her I understood, and asked her if they were anticipating plumbing jobs that day that might require five hours. She responded in saying "yes, that's just plumbing"! I then informed her that this was unacceptable, and that I thought it best to look into another plumbing service. Before I could finish my sentence, she cut me off and said something to the effective "yes do that", and hung the phone up on me as her voice trailed off. Regarding a1 budget plumbing, I would NOT recommend their services to my friends or associates, if for nothing else because of the poor interaction, lack of empathy, and lack of understanding from their front office representative. Please try to do better for your clients/potential client, before you resign yourselves to recommending other competent plumbing services.

I needed a shower cartridge, faceplate and downspout installed. I bought two 50.00 Moen face plates/knob (City Mill) and spout prior to A1 showing up to install. I was charged 1 3/4 hours which a majority of that time was spent installing a faceplate/knob that never worked. My bill was 360.00 and my shower still not working properly. I spoke with Matthew the manager as I felt taken advantage of for the labor wasted installing a something that wouldn't work. He said the plumber was a "journeyman" and it's not his fault that time was wasted on the wrong plate. It was a "That's the way it goes sometimes " mentality. And No Matt, I can't return the new faceplate (50.00) due to scratches and used gasket. Matthew did give me three part numbers that he said should work. For reference, my old faceplate (pic) are concave where more of the "neck" is visible for the knob to fit. I have checked these part numbers and they don't seem to be concave enough to work. So do I spend 120.00 to 180.00 dollars on a plate/knob and another 300.00 labor for something that might not even work? For now, I've installed my old face plate/knob and not sure I want to chance another 200- 300 dollars labor on a maybe. Matthew did give me 15 mins off the price (35.00) which I appreciate, but I think he could have made it more fair under the above circumstances.

Dad: "Starla, use your shower at least once a week" Me: *Then uses the bathroom as the fur baby's room and doesn't use the shower" One year later...*tries the shower faucet*...leaking ensues. I should have listened to my dad. As a first time homeowner, I didn't realize you really need to use your other bathroom vs using it as a room for your fur baby. My dad recommended I call A-1 because they also did work for his place. I listened this time! It was my first time calling a company do to any kind of work for my home. I called and the guy taking my call was very friendly and helpful. I requested Paul (per my dad's recommendation) and I was surprised that Paul would be able to help me the next day. But due to other plans, I had Paul come a few days later. I was able to text some pictures of my faucet which I thought was helpful. The day prior, I also got a reminder text which was also very appreciated. On the day of, Paul came on time (we were the first job of the day). He was very professional and informative. My dad likes him because he's thorough. He did a great job of fixing my leaky shower handle. I am glad I listened to my dad and called A-1. I'll be sure to call them for other plumbing issues that arise in the future!

I filled out the Yelp request for help for my clogged plumbing and was inundated with 6 or 7 responses. One didnʻt provide the service I needed and half of the rest were slow to respond. I communicated with 3 or 4 of the businesses and chose the most professional sounding responder but there was a problem. Then I switched and went with the most consistent company A-1 Budget Plumbing. Their staff offered me a next day appointment as it was late already and didnʻt charge weekend fees although it was a Saturday. She explained the charge and answered my questions. The plumber came out, did the work and the fee was very reasonable. But the problem came up again a couple of days later and again, I tried to resolve it unsuccessfully thinking the cause was my sewer lines. When I finally decided to call A-1 again they gave me a great rate since they had just come out within the week. For Sunday work their price was really in the budget range! The plumber did the job again and this time I got his pro opinion on what was causing the clogs and he thought Iʻd need to replace it. Well, so far, so good. And Iʻll be looking at whatʻs involved with replacements.

Our plumber that we've used for many years has retired and we were looking for someone to install 3 new toilets for us. I asked neighbors and they highly recommended A-1. I was initially a little hesitant as we've always used a plumber . . . licensed yes, but a single person (with maybe a helper). We'd never used a company before. This might also be a little narrow minded of me, but the name A-1 Budget Plumbing just sounds a little hokey and like a large, impersonal company. Our neighbors kept singing the praises of A-1 though, so I texted for an estimate and appointment. Long story short, these guys were fantastic! The contact person was efficient, an excellent communicator and very thorough to give and collect information. The 2 guys that came out, made short work of the job. The final cost was actually much less than we expected and definitely much less than our former plumber charged for a smaller job he did for us at a rental property. They were right on time, efficient, very clean and super nice guys to boot! I've since passed their contact info onto friends and they've come back to thank me for the referral.
