I recently had Jon from 1st American Plumbing, Heating & Air complete the install of my new water heater. Jon arrived on time and was extremely professional, respectful and highly skilled - even going over and beyond to assist. I would highly recommend this company and especially Jon if you require a high-quality, reliable service.

I was very impressed with 1st American Plumbing. Baeler was sent to my house for a drain cleaning and drain pipe repair. They were able to come out that same day. Baeler was very polite, great to work with, and he did an amazing job. I was quoted a reasonable price up front and that was the price at the end. Baeler managed to protect the area he had to work in and left it cleaner that it was before he arrived.

1st American plumbing is the best experience I’ve ever had with any vendor in Utah, and I will recommend them to everyone. My pilot light went out on my water heater and I couldn’t get it back on. After watching many “how to” YouTube videos I realized this was a job for a professional. I called 1st American really early and Matt answered the phone (first good sign that an actual PERSON answered and not an automated answering machine!) Matt talked with me about what I had already tried and scheduled a technician who arrived at my house at 9:00am on the dot. I think it’s a very cool feature that they send you a text message with a photo of your repair person and a biography of their experience right when they arrive. My technician Jon was so kind, polite and incredibly knowledgeable. He had parts sent over for the repair, and had everything wrapped up promptly. Pricing was fair and reasonable, and I am SO glad to have found a reliable local company. Their number is saved in my phone and they’re my new go-to for anything plumbing or hvac.

Be Careful with These Guys — Seriously! I called for a quote to fix a small gas leak on my backyard fire pit. They sent a quote and said to sign it if I wanted the work done. I never signed it because I was still getting another quote. Less than 24 hours later, they showed up unannounced while I wasn’t there and started doing the work without permission. When I called to sort it out, they came back—and left my yard wrecked, even leaving an uncapped gas line. That’s not just sloppy, it’s dangerous. Super unprofessional, zero accountability, and honestly scary that they think this is acceptable. ⚠️ Watch out before hiring them!

Classic bait and switch, they quoted us $2000 for service, after payment they came out and told us the guy who gave the quote "wasn't authorized" and said the actual cost would be over $5100. I would not recommend these guys to my worst enemy. These tactics are incredibly shady.

100% HONEST and the best out of the Herriman/Riverton/South Salt Lake Valley!!!!! Our furnace on a day it was 25° F outside. I called at 7:30 AM and they said they'd be out between 8 and 10. 15 minutes later, I got a text that they were on their way. That's prompt service. Matt showed up, and took care of us. The problem didn't end up being as bad we thought. It turned out to be very minor and he fixed it and left it at that. Because they do heating, AC, and plumbing, I asked him to look at a couple of other things to see if there's anything that could be done. I didn't realize I kept him here for a few hours and by the time he left, he had completed some plumbing work, furnace work, and drain work! He walked me through everything he was doing and I would do it all over again! I've already got plans to have him look at my AC unit come come early spring/summer! These guys deserve more than 5 stars!

Discovered a backed-up sink that I couldn't clear myself on a Wednesday evening. Called 1st American that night and Nick arrived the very next morning. Within an hour the clog was cleared and I was back to a fully functional kitchen again. Nick was extremely professional and very respectful of my time since I work from home and had to speak with him between (and during) meetings. He even sent a text to me when he was done and waited for me to come sign off on the work and make the payment. This is the third time I've worked with 1st American and all the techs that have come out to my home (John, Jared and now Nick) have been qualified and licensed plumbers, not salesman that know how to plumb. I feel the pricing is fair and competitive and have yet to be made to feel like I've been sold. I'm very happy this company was referred to me and I pass along their information to anyone looking for a plumber.

Our furnace stop working & we couldn't figure out what was wrong with it . It would not turn on at all . We called 1st American in the morning & they came out by 1. The technician was very professional . We had another company look at the problem earlier in the day & they said we needed a new furnace & ac unit as our motherboard was ruined . It would be $13,000 . We decided to get another opinion. The technician came in & right away notice the flame igniter was cracked . We told him about the motherboard issues he checked it & said it worked fine . He said he could get us the part later in the day but was able to light our furnace & get us heat . The technician came back a few hours later & fixed the part . It was only $ 288 installed . We were so happy ! I would highly recommend this company . Very knowledgeable & honest .

I was stressed out about my sink leaking and call these guys and they were here within ours. Every other place I called had a 2-3 day waiting list. Once Matt arrived he was very professional and explained to me what was going on with my system. He even suggested ways I could do the work myself. The cost was a little outside of my budget due to moving into my new home. However he offered me a discount offers online. I was expecting the plumber to look like the painters worn-out ragged and overworked. However , Matt is a true professional, courteous and respect your property. If you have serious plumbing problems or service bad call these guys today don't wait! I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Believe it, "T"

We had 1st American Plumbing replace our water heater this month, and they did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. Matt even pointed-out a few things that weren't up to code with the venting and gas lines and got us all fixed-up there, too. Just this week we had a home inspector come through since we are changing our home owners insurance, and he commented on what quality workmanship and materials he saw when he noted the water heater had recently been replaced. That was great, because his whole purpose there was to find stuff wrong that could be potential liabilities for the insurance company. I highly recommend 1st American Plumbing's work.

The responded so quickly and came out late at night for an emergency! It’s not the cheapest place (also not the most expensive!) however, they repaired hose bibs I have had replaced several times and it turned out it was because the valve had never come all of the way through the foundation into the house! He was also so kind and looked at some other stuff we have going on to let us know why we are having other issues. I have truly never felt more confident and our hose bibs have never looked so good! I’m just so please, and the technician was so nice and friendly. We will definitely be using them again.

Great company to work with! Jon was fantastic from start to finish. He was honest, upfront, and helped me out with pricing while providing excellent service throughout the process. What really stood out was that he took a minute to help me with a small issue on my power box that wasn't even part of the job. It was a quick fix, but he offered to help without hesitation. That's the kind of customer service that earns trust and turns first-time customers into repeat customers. I'm very happy with the price, the service, and the overall experience. I would absolutely recommend Jon and his team.

Jon was such a huge help! Our tub faucet was pulled way out of the wall which caused some leaking and discoloration on our baseboards. He did an amazing job fixing the faucet & even caulked around it for us! We had several other things that we thought were bigger problems than they were and he explained things so perfectly so we can go forward with confidence in fixing what we can ourselves. Now that he fixed the faucet we can paint the baseboards and get them looking nice once again. I will be calling him at 1st American Plumbing now with any problems that come up in the future! My family and I could not be more pleased with service we received from the experts at 1st American Plumbing. Their senior HVAC and Plumbing Techs go above and beyond to explain and educate on how they evaluate my heating/cooling needs for our home. The installation of the two furnace/AC units as well as a tankless water heater was quick and neatly installed. It's apparent they have a passion for their work. My house is far more comfortable now. I would strongly recommend 1st American to anyone looking for a good HVAC/plumbing service company.
