Pipe burst... Other companies didn't have availability for at least 4 days due to the weather. Your1Plumber had the issue fixed in under about an hour once they arrive which was amazing since we didn't have water access. The gentlemen who did the work, Wilmer, explained everything well as far as the issue and repairs were concerned. Prompt. Polite. He made sure to let us know what to expect during and after repair. Oh! I was home alone during the visit and dude wasn't creepy... so, that was kinda great- felt safe. He was pretty patient with my dog, who goes kinda 'Cujo' when company comes, and that was pretty nice since Dog was on my last nerve trying to eat the plumber person again... when will she learn that we don't eat our friends? Not sure if the price was competitive since we never had this issue before- but according to my bff, chat, it was fair. Included 1 year warranty on work which was a bonus we didn't expect. 10 outta 10 would not want my pipe to break again during a winter snow, but I would call this company again if it did.
We appreciate the prompt service we got from #1 plumber. They installed our hot water heater 5+ years ago and came today for routine maintenance. They were prompt, cordial and completed their work quickly. We would highly recommend Wilmer if you need that service.
Wilmer and Jay are awesome! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Wilmer was able to answer our questions with ease and explain different options and considerations. I was very impressed with their work; installation of a new garbage disposal was efficient, straightforward, and reasonable. It's obvious they have a ton of experience and know what they're doing. I look forward to having them do additional work on other maintenance issues.
We had a clogged sink in our 2nd floor bathroom and they cleared it, but later that day we discovered that our basement was flooded and we found that the water was coming from the basement sink. We ran the sink upstairs and saw that the water upstairs was pooling into the basement sink. The upstairs bathroom and basement sink share the same drainage pipe and is separate from our bathtub and toilet. All the plumber did was push the clog from the upstairs sink drainage into the basement sink drain. Our plumber does not understand this and they refused to fix it stating that its a separate issue and wanted to charge us another $330....
Stay away from this company; they don't know what they are doing and will do the most expensive thing 1st. Your 1 Plumber never even fixed my issue; they cut a hole in the ceiling for NO REASON, said nothing was wrong, charged me $400, and left. Now they won't return my calls. I have even written a letter of complaint, which was opened, taped closed, and sent back to me. I'm in the process of filing complaints with BBB and the FTC. So learn from my costly mistake, find a real plumber- STAY AWAY FROM YOUR 1 PLUMBER unless you like wasting your money and love horrible customer service, if so this is the company for you!
My experience is similar to some other reviewers. I got a leak in my house so I asked them to come by and give me an estimate for the repair and some other plumbing jobs. They told me there is $29 fee for an on-site estimation. Fine. The plumber did come on time. Since I already roughly located the sub-section where the leak was from, it took the plumber less than half hour to locate the exact spot of leaking. Then he quoted me ~$1300 for fixing the leak and doing another plumbing job. In addition, he charged me $189 for finding the leak. I am fine with the $189 charge since the plumber did find the leak (thought it was my fault that I didn't ask before he cut my drywall). When I told him that his repair quote was too high and I need to think about it, he lowered the total quote to $1100 including the $189 charge. I was still unconvinced, and then the plumber told me he would charge me $289 for finding the leak if I didn't use their service for repairing. I chose not to use their service and give him $289. Later when I received their receipt via email, I found I was charged $289 for "Inspect complete systems, provide complete report" - which the plumber surely didn't do. After I complaint this to their customer service, I was told that I should be charged $329 for Leak Detection (in a way, I should thank the technician for the $40 discount) and their company has a high price/quote because they have a lot of overhead items and they provide "good service". As an example of their good services, they said they have an up-front pricing policy - which means telling a customer the price before their plumbers do any job. But I never heard $329 from the plumber himself, never heard $289 before I said no to their repair service, never heard $189 before the plumber finished the estimation. After I asked them the second time whether they could at least honor the $189 "down-back" price, they finally honored the price and sent me a refund check quickly (so I updated my rate to 2-star from 1-star). To let my story have a happy ending, I hired a licensed master plumber and he finished three plumbing jobs for $405 - professionally and nicely. Comparing with the $1300 quote from Your 1 Plumber for just two of the three plumbing jobs, I am really happy that I didn't use this company for the repair.
I had a leak from a 2nd floor bathroom that was coming into my 1st floor bathroom. I replaced the wax ring myself and the problem persisted, so it wasn't the wax ring. I was out of town and I made the mistake of calling these guys. My wife had to deal with them. The $29 fee for an estimate should have been a big red flag. I have never had a company charge me for an estimate. Anyways, the guy comes out and says he can't do anything unless he cuts out a piece of my drywall. I think ok, I can easily repair drywall no big deal. $180. (or was it $130, I can't remember) This guy couldn't even cut drywall properly. He cut about 95% and then pulled the piece away. The paper of the drywall the remained tore. About 3 feet. So now the easy drywall repair becomes a bigger pain. The guy peeks inside for literally 30 seconds and says $800 for the repair (on top of the estimate fees that we were already on the hook for). I told my wife to tell him to leave. I get back into town and call a plumber with high reviews. They come out and knew exactly what the problem was. He didn't need to see up into the ceiling that was cut. He performed the repair for about $200. So my actual repair cost the same as what I paid Your1 plumber to tear up my ceiling. They are scamming people. I have never had a company charge for an estimate. The fact that they quoted me $1000 ($800 plus the estimate fees) after peeking inside for about 30 seconds is a huge red flag. How could they have come up with a price that quickly?
I was very disappointed in this company we called to make an appointment to have a gas line capped and they told me someone will be there between 12-2 on Tuesday. I waited till 2:58pm and gave them a call she told me that someone called me and said they would be here between 3-5 I never got this call and no one left a message. So I continue to make another appointment for the following day with the same company at 10 am because I had to leave at 3:30 a employee called me at 9 the next day and said someone would be there between 9:15 and 10 I said I will not be there until 10 he said he would call me back again no call, no show, no nothing I then texted them and asked are they coming today or not. Again no response. What really bothered me about this is one of there employees or owner lives right around the corner from the work we were requesting to be done at. This cost me money to sit here and wait for a no show. I would not recommend this company what so ever. That evening we called All Cear Plumbing and drain service they called and confirmed the time that they would be here, they came on time and did a great job. I would recommend them, not Your#1 plumber, not unless you wanna wait all day and if it cost you money like it did me can't say I didn't warn you.
We need a new shut-off valve leading to one of our hose-bibs. We called Your 1 Plumber LLC to make the repairs. They had previously installed a shut-off valve to one of our bath-room sinks. Once the date and time was scheduled, we received an e-mail from the company reconfirming the date and time. The e-mail also include the name and picture of the plumber who would be performing the service. The e-mail also gave Wilmer R.'s (the plumber) technical background. He showed up on time and performed the task quickly. He then took the time to show my wife how to properly winterize the hose-bib. My only complaint and this seems true with most plumbers, is they will not give a cost estimate for services prior to coming out to perform the work. You are charge a fee for having the technician review the work which gets removed if you have them perform the work. The price for the service that was done seems high to me but this is true with other plumbing work I have had done by other plumbing companies as well.
The guy was very nice, did a decent job with cleanup and did arrive promptly. The thing I take exception with is where right as he was done replacing a short length of pipe, he basically said there was another section within 1' of the area he replaced that should be replaced as well. A true professional would have made that an option before starting work. He ended up double billing me to replace the whole section including the portion he had just replaced. Turning an already overpriced job for what he did (cut into the drywall, cut out and replace about 1' of pipe) into a ridiculously overpriced job. Next time i'll just do the work myself. It's about $10 in parts and honestly isn't rocket science. Honestly, the only reason I called in a plumber is because I thought the leak was originating from the upstairs bathroom and would require more extensive work. The leak ended up being directly over the section of the ceiling that was wet.
Not sure why this company has so many poor reviews. Our experience was pretty stellar. Our water heater began to leak rather profusely on a Tuesday morning. Tried to call a plumber to replace our self-venting gas unit same day. Your 1 Plumber was the only company out of the 7 I called that would even touch a self-venting gas water heater. Wilmer and Jay were at the house less than two hours later. Turns out our tank was cracked and needed to be replaced. Now all plumbing feels like a price gouge, but having replaced a few of these over the years, the price they quoted was quite fair given the size, same-day service, and added complexity/licensing/inspection requirements of my type of heater. The technicians were on-time, considerate, and thoroughly explained what they were doing. What more could you ask for. Wilmer is also a master plumber.
Ripoff and not worth the price...beware of the $29 fee for initial visit...this is a bait and switch sales approach...follow on services are grossly overpriced...they bank on you hiring them once they get in your front door...but its ridiculous what they charge...they quoted my mom $329 to replace a washer which took a grand total of 20 minutes to replace...i told her to put the repairman on the phone to argue this price...after expressing my disbelief, he reduced the price to $200...i asked my mom to get rid of him, but she preferred the convenience factor since he was already there...i think out of guilt, he knocked the price down another $25 to $175...other plumbers would have charged $75 for 20 min of work...either way, never using them again...
Over priced big time! The work below took one guy about 4-6hrs to do. Parts were right around $300 and that's me buying from HD. They jacked up the price of parts and labor big time. WPR001_SL Leak Search (Minor) Locate Leak Visual Inspection To Diagnose Leak Source 1.00 $328.89 $328.89 USR025_SL Service Stop Valve (Sink/Toilet) Chrome Close Main Water, Remove Old Valve, Install New Chrome Emergency Stop Valve 1.00 $351.33 $351.33 FK014_SL Kitchen Faucet SINGLE LEVER NO Spray CR Remove Existing, Install SINGLE LEVER Kitchen Faucet Chrome 1.00 $572.00 $572.00 PRV153_SL Replace Pressure Regulator With Main Valve 3/4-IN Remove Existing Install New Whole House Pressure Reducing Valve with Main (No Expansion Tank) 1.00 $1,375.76 $1,375.76
Service technician showed up within the allotted time and was pleasant and professional. The service provided (in less than 2 hours, which included time to go get parts) to replace a 3/4" pvc pipe, connector, and reducer, for a drain for the condensation of our HVAC unit. The parts cost less than $20 at Home Depot. My total bill was $489. I disliked the Invoice, which read: "1 Service Task $489." They couldn't even itemize the parts or labor, otherwise, the bill would have looked ridiculous. Even at 100% markup, the parts would be $40 and two hours labor $449. (The service call was waived due to a special.) Decent service, but extremely high pricing for the job. Good point: Quick service. Bad point: Extremely expensive
The technician that came to my house was nice enough, but the quote I received was $1,000 over any other quote I got (I got three of them!!!) for the exact same thing. I have to replace my water heater, and the cost of the tank itself is $1300, which isn't unreasonable - however, I was just given a flat estimate of $4,000 from Your 1 Plumber, and a $200 "discount", which still would have been $800 OVER the second highest quote I got. I think they price gauge, and I still paid the $29.00 service fee (granted they did tell me about it). I told the tech about my other quote for the same equipment, but there was no explanation as to how $2,600 in labor/parts could possibly be reasonable when the tank was only $1,300.
