Jacob, Michael and Casey were all Amazing. Jacob checked our furnace and made sure it was safe and running. ($50) Michael came and was the real hero and unclogged both our shower drains. ($1200) Casey drained and checked our hot water tank and gave us an estimate for potential issues. ($50)
Brian E was a straight up "G". Nice guy, knowledgeable and had our furnace back up and running during the coldest day of the year. Furthermore, the AI bot had us scheduled 24 hours out. I responded to the text reminder and Brian was dispatched within 2 hours. Big ups to Wilson!
Very happy with our sewer line repair at our house. Can’t say enough about our service from the whole team but especially David, Chuck, Jordon and Jake organizing the job. All of them went above beyond to help come up with a permanent, least invasive solution to our issue. Would highly recommend.
A friendly word of caution to those considering Wilson - their general business model for the healthy home membership appears to be offering 'free' services as part of their package. However, they will often then try to charge/recommend unnecessary service. As example, we had plumber (Michael Dillree) come to our house flush our hot water tank. A free service then scheduled as a matter of convenience with our usual house maintenance, he decided on his own accord to try to sell us a new water softener. He told us our water was too hard (it is not- we have our own testing strip/chemicals). We've been looking to remove our softener system (only needing a filter). He refused to do this and provide us only very expensive quotes. He tried to soften this by saying he checked our sump pump that it wasn't working order (it is in fact not, and have known this), and our house water pressure was too high (indeed high, but not too the degree he reported). We ultimately had our suspicions confirmed getting another plumber to come out (and also just disconnected our water softener for a very reasonable price). In general, it is a similar experience for electric (we had a general contractor on another project point out and argue down some unusual costs/fees), as well as HVAC 'clean and checks' (where wiring 'problems' were then reviewed by others noting they're trying to charge for unnecessary service). We only had signed up for a healthy home membership given a discount for one year, after calling for an electric project for our first experience with Wilson and receiving the offer. Fortunately, we avoided too much headache with Wilson, as we had our suspicions early on. But essentially every service call required us to double check every recommendation they made with another group we trusted more - defeating the purpose of using them in the first place. Hopefully this is helpful to someone - We would strongly recommend finding more trustworthy service help elsewhere, and we wouldn't even take their healthy home membership for free if offered to us based on our previous experiences with them.
I was very discouraged with this company and the company out of Akron that bought them!!! I came home the furnace was not working, of course it was 5pm,called was on hold for 20 minutes. Then pushed over to the answering service who took the information down at no time telling me that I need to be on their preferred customer service list to be able to get emergency service that night!!I had to call back at 6pm Because that's when the service takes over.I called back and again they took my information down and told me a technician would be in touch. Again not mentioning anything about the preferred customer service list!! The tech. called me and then told me he looked me up in the system and said you are not a preferred customer and would not be able to get service tonight. What company gets to pick and choose what customer they help. It is now 8:15pm on a 28 degree night and I still don't have heat. Thank you Central Heating and the company that owns you now.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I was finally able to get an appt scheduled, after a couple diff attempts. I was told the day before to expect someone out between 10:30 & 11:30 am today. At 12:50 p.m., I texted my contact to see when I could expect the repair person to arrive & was assured I was on the roster of scheduled appts for the day! At 1:20 p.m. I got a response to my next text saying someone will let me know when they're on their way! At 3:25 p.m. I contacted them again. At 3:54 p.m.I got a reply thanking me for my patience & telling me I was the next stop on the list. At 4:16 p.m. I was notified that the technician was on their way to me & it would be ABOUT AN HOUR & A HALF!! I sat home all day waiting for them. No one actually called me to update me & tell me the technician was stuck at a job. I found this out at about 4:30 p.m. when I called to tell them another 90 min wait was unacceptable. I wanted someone tomorrow morning. I was then transferred to the "dispatcher" by the person answering calls & was told no one can come out tomorrow. They don't work on the weekends, but she assured me she would have someone out 1st thing Monday morning. This is for a 1st floor toilet! Unhappily, I accepted. I thought we were set. Let me also add that I was told, in writing, 2 diff times by my contact, approximately how much the work would cost me. After I hung up with the dispatcher, she called me back a few mins later. She said she was going thru the notes for my appt & saw what I had been quoted & called to advise me that it would cost much more than what I had been quoted. She also said my contact was NOT AUTHORIZED to quote prices. I asked for an approximation & she said she couldn't give me one. I then asked her for a ballpark & again said she couldn't give me one. I told her I thought her co was f***ing nuts & hung up on her. Now I've lost a day where I could get nothing accomplished & my toilet is not repaired & I have to start over. AVOiD THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Do not let this company in your home. They will not take responsibility for any damage that they cause. They installed a furnace, through the weatherization program, in my home 5 months after I bought it. They showed up at my home at 7:30 am on a Monday, without an appointment, beating on my door for 45 minutes until my neighbor called me. I had to ask them to leave and make a proper appointment. My whole house humidifier worked well until they destroyed it, left the chimney cap hanging off and as I found from 2 other companies left many other problems. I notified Central Heating in Dec. about the humidifier and chimney cap being off and expressed how it caused problems with my 3 yr old daughter sleeping in her room because of the noise. I was repeatedly asked to give them 2 weeks to get to me because they had customers without heat. We were promised that they would fix things. The Chimney cap was not fixed until March, because my 1 story ranch's chimney was too high to get to. Now, although they broke it, they wanted to charge me $300 to replace the humidifier. The owner tried to say they did not touch the humidifier yet pictures and 2 other heating companies state that the frame behind and around it is brand new and the humidifier is not to be attached by a frame at all. They are disrespectful, liars and this is nothing but a scam!! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!! The owner has a bad habit of lying, dodging and chastising customers to get them to back down.
I would not recommend Wilson's Plumbing unless you would like to pay double what you should for your service. We had a clogged toiled and had removed the toilet, had a wax ring replacement etc. and did not have a tool that could get to the clog. We have young children at home and needed a working toilet on our main floor. The plumber initially quoted me $4,000 in "preventative maintenance." I told him absolutely not, we just need the pipe cleared...He then quoted me over $900 to use a camera and $760 for no camera. I could not believe the price, but considering our toilet was off the pipe, we didn't want to have to call another plumber and wait. We previously had another company come out when our toddler flushed a toy down the toilet and they put on a new toilet and that was only $700. I am not sure why services like this need to play a sales game when people have these unexpected problems come up. I tried to call and speak to someone at the office and they did not call me back. After the service was completed the plumber said they gave me a 10% discount since we had the toilet removed already...which after taxes was still $680. I also never received copies of the service paperwork. I have received robo calls and texts asking for feedback on my service. I have left two message for calls back and was told someone would reach out within 30 minutes, and no one has called us back. Extremely disappointed.
Central Heating installed a Trane XR95, Aprilaire 2210 Air Cleaner to replace a twenty-eight year old furnace. Additionally, due to the new new furnace, a chimney liner would be necessary for the hot water heater. Central suggested we check out the DEO Home Performance with Energy Star (Good Cents) to get a rebate for the furnace since Central is an approved contractor; which we did, and the process was painless and worth it. At installation of the new furnace, Matt and the crew were timely, efficient and neat. HVAC inspector from the City came to check after the install and commented the install was good, although the seams on the new furnace should have been sealed. We're pleased with the new furnace thus far..much, much more efficient that the old! They couldn't install the liner due to there was snow on the roof. The chimney liner was installed by a sub-contactor a few weeks later. If you're getting a liner installed be sure to confirm whether Central or the sub-contractor will purchase the liner. Also, give the sub-contractor at least a two-hour window from the promised time to arrive at your home. They must be incredibly busy. Once they started working, it was obvious they have installed a lot of liners and know just about everything about chimneys. Just be patient with the scheduling.
I have been a customer of Central heating for a few years and before that my Mom was for years. After she died I moved into her house and I had a LOT to learn about water boiler furnaces. The first year I was in the house the pipes leading to the furnace had major leaking issues (no dripping beforehand, was a total surprise). Central was very proactive and custom made piping to replace the old pieces. Since then I mainly have needed them for yearly check ups, but last Sunday morning the furnace shut off and I could not restart it. Miraculously they were able to fit me in the next day (yesterday), and service tech Emad diagnosed it as a blown heating cool, which he replaced in a timely manner. Emad (who has been with the company for 15 years, so that tells you something), was great at explaining what he was doing and gave me advice about regulating the water level. The outdoor temp yesterday was in the high teens (windchill), so my day went from very chilly inside the house to comfy by the evening. I HIGHLY recommend Central heating, a rock solid local company that always does right by me! Thanks!
I am giving this company NO stars. Their technician was not acquainted with, or trained to repair the unit I have, which is only five years old. After battling with the unit quitting late each night, the technician would appear the next day and find yet something else he hadn't considered. I will say that the technician was extremely nice. Long story short though, I contacted the company that had installed the furnace (the reason I didn't initially is that they are not close to my area) and they were shocked at what had been done to the unit AND what I had been charged. Two men worked all day to repair the damage done by the Central technician. Two lessons learned: If possible, deal with the company who installed your unit and never make an emergency call. Call during regular hours. If I hadn't been worried about my pipes, I would have waited until the next day and would have avoided a log of grief (and cost). When I heard that the Central Heating owner had suggested to the technician that he sell me a new furnace, it killed any faith I had in Central Heating.
I called a plumber from wilsons out to my house because the hot water had a very restricted flow from t kitchen sink. An estimator came and told me the problem was the shutodff valve was broken and stuck shut. He suggested I replace both. I declined and requested a quote for just the broken valve. He went to his truck for around 30 minutes and came back with 3 quotes. None of them for just the one broken valve as i requested and the highest one was for 1200 dollars. I decide to both the hot and cold shutoff valves as he requested because "we will already have your water turned off" and "I might as well do both to save money " (turning off the water in my house requires turning a knob) . The tech came the next day. He replaced the shutoffs. Still no hot water. He agreed the problem was misdiagnosed. He suggested i fix it my self. So i paid 600 for 2 unnecessary repairs. Spent 2 days leaving massages for managers. No return call. So far they haven't taken any responsibility for the misdiagnosed job and basically stole 600 dollars from me. I wish i could give zero stars
Wilson Plumbing and Heating came today to replace our central ac unit. The head tech Greg arrive at 9 am and inform us he would be the lead tech and would probably be here all day. Later in the day the duct cleaning crew would arrive to clean out all the ducts and returns. While Greg was installing the outside unit another tech showed up name Greg who would be redesigning the new air handler as the replacement was larger than the old one. I seen a lot of metal workers in our basement but I have to say Greg knew what he was doing , I kidded that he should signed his name as it was a work of art. The cleaning crew arrive and the explained exactly how they went about cleaning the ducts. They went to each room open the ducts and the returns and used a whip with w high capacity vacuum to suck up what ever was in the duct work. They did fantastic job, looking how to open nail in registers and replacing afterwards. I would highly recommend Wilson for your central AC or duct cleaning.
Exceptional company!!!! We have used them on various occasions to have the installation of a tankless hot water system, a wifi thermostat installed at our son's house. With both of those encounters; the technicians were nothing but professional and informative. Based on the expert way in how they handled those two situations; we called them for our home for some advice on the movement of our thermostat since we had recently moved into the home; we got nothing but helpful information and will make those changes once we start the remodeling of our main floor space. We know there will have to be some major changes made to the heating ducts to this space; and of course, we will be making the call to Central Heating to assist us in our reconfiguration of this space. If you are looking for honest, hard-working and professional service... Central Heating and Air Conditioning is the place to go. You can't go wrong. Highly recommended.
Central Heating installed a HVAC system complete with duct work because we didn't have any. They worked on some very cold days outside and in the attic as well. I was EXTREMELY satisfied with the customer service, Stew (the owner) and the experience of EVERY ONE of his crew! They were careful and very neat and clean EVERYDAY. I'm particular! The superb attention they showed to doing the best they could to have the equipment and everything running to it turned out to look very professional and had a neat appearance. Again, I'm particular! They came back several times to address a couple of concerns I had and were able to satisfy me. I hired Central because I knew they were experienced but I also now know they won't leave me hanging in the event of any problems in the future. That gives me peace of mind and I highly recommend them!
