Hollywood came the day after another plumber from Tom-1-plumbing failed to unclog my home sewer drain. He was efficient, courteous, and got the job done in less than 30 minutes. Excellent communication. I would strongly recommend this company! I will be back (hopefully, not too soon).
Our house is 100 years old with corroded plumbing to match. If you also have an old house and pipes, I cannot recommend Webster Plumbing to you highly enough. I especially recommend James, who really knows his stuff. We are delighted and relieved to have found such an experienced (and comparatively affordable) plumbing service. Highly recommended!
If I could give 0 stars I would. We were told by Dominion energy that we had a gas leak on our water heater and a disconnected vent at the top that needed a plumber. We asked them to recommend someone that wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg. We were given Marks number from Webster plumbing and gas. I called Mark and explained our situation, sent photos per his request and was told he would send me a quote (which I never received)and a tech would be contacting me. A technician came out to our house by the name of Daniel Huckabee. Within minutes he told us that there was no leak, reached up and moved the vent (there was no reconnecting as shown in photos). My husband asked him to check out the gas fireplace and under the house. He found no leaks. We asked him what we owed and he said nothing just his "service fee." We were leaving for dinner plans with some friends and he said we would get an invoice. He was at our house for maybe 20/25 minutes. A couple of weeks go by and we get the invoice for $275. We are shocked 😮 as nothing was fixed and the tech said we owed nothing. In my mind if this is the "service fee" it's insane. I set the invoice aside. Another couple of weeks go by and I receive a voicemail from Taylor stating she's calling to discuss our balance. When I call back I get Mark the owner. I explained to Mark our frustration, how his tech found no leaks, did not reconnect the pipe, and told us we owed nothing but his service fee. Mark argued with me and said that Daniel is a good christian man and wouldn't lie. We ended the call with Mark saying that they clock their technicians time "on site" but he needed to check with Taylor and he would call me back the next day. I never heard from him. I got another missed call from Taylor and voicemail a week later stating she needs to discuss our balance from when their technician came to our house and "reconnected the vent and checked for gas leaks." I called back and again got Mark. He argued with me that they clocked Daniel at our house for one hour and 22 minutes on two separate systems. I told him there was no way, I argued that we had dinner plans and had to leave and that he was not at our house for more than half an hour tops. I have time stamped texts from my husband and our friends that show the tech at our house from 5:48 pm to 6:16 pm. I explained that the pipe was not reconnected, we were told by the tech we owed him nothing but the service fee. I was very frustrated and felt that Mark was very unprofessional and seeking only his money not the customer satisfaction. He told me they would take $50 off our bill and he was sending me another invoice. At this point my husband calls Dominion to explain our frustration with their recommendation. The women at Dominion told my husband that she's never heard of situation where they detected a leak and then the plumber didn't. She sent a high priority request to have a technician come back to our house. To our surprise he did indeed find the leak (I have attached photos. The reading should be 0.0). My husband called Mark at Webster (I was tired of dealing with his unprofessionalism) and told him that there was indeed a leak and we would not be paying his invoice to which he said "Ya I heard." We assume that he was contacted by Dominion. Save yourself the stress we went through and do not use this company. We have three children and get to be without hot water because Webster plumbing and gas told us there was no leak when indeed there was and tried charging us $275 to do so. Mark also quoted my husband another $600 some dollars to fix the issue they said wasn't there.....we laughed. I have attached before and after photos of the "reconnected pipe", their invoice, and some other 1 star ⭐ reviews that show this seems to be a trend with this company and this technician.
I noticed when I look on Webster, plumbing, and gas website they only have five star reviews, but the fact of the matter is, they only deserve a one star from me. I had a technician come out to my house to install fireplace logs and on the box, I notice, it clearly states that it needs a converter. The technician did not even acknowledge that he continued to put my gas fittings together and then advised me that he wasn’t able to do it and charge me $145 for a job incomplete. He also left my house without detaching the parts so that I can return it and get the correct kit. Daniel the technician promised he would be back later I never heard from him again. I would not take a gamble on this company unless you have disposable income.
Easy to make appt.; plumber, Daniel, very personable; work done satisfactorily, but would suggest you get estimate before work is done to avoid a "surprise" bill. Would use again, but would get an estimate of cost first.
