He ended up replacing the whole water heater due to severe leaking signs which took him around 7 hours. Even that, he stayed late to ensure we fully understand what needs to be on the look out for the next couple days and steps to take in case there's sign of leaking or strange noise.

I was in need for plumber on Sunday morning. He picked up my early morning call. Told me will be there between 10:30-11:30 and he showed up within the time frame. Unclog the toilet. Recommend me to get a new one and of course explained why I should replace. I have dealt with other plumbers they said the same thing to replace but do not give reasons. The water shut off gate valve outside my house in Hayward started to spring a leak. Since this valve was several decades old, I decided it was time to replace it with a more reliable ball valve. I went to Google to find a qualified plumber company to do the job. To my dismay many of the quotes I received were stratospheric to say the least, and I could only interface with clueless office people. My luck was answered when I called Wave Plumbing & Heating and talked directly with the owner Fareed. I provided him with a picture of the water stick where the valve was mounted. He noted that all the piping was made of 3/4" Galvanized steel dating from the 60's and would certainly be heavily corroded inside, therefore it would be requiring more work than just replacing the gate valve. The price he quoted me was reasonable. A few days later Fareed came to my house to do the job. I was very impressed by his nice attitude and demeanor, unlike many plumbers or electricians I had to deal with in the past. He is the type of person that respects the customer and does not assume like the other guys that you are an idiot and want you out of their way. Fareed did an excellent job re-working the water stick and installing a new ball valve. The stick, besides providing water to the house, included a T-fitting to feed the sprinkler system and had to be slightly modified. In a word: Fantastic. In 4 further words: Diligent, Detailed, Flexible, and Affordable. I called Wave and spoke with Farid on a Sunday late morning. We had 4 plumbing issues (1 time-sensitive, but not urgent) that had accumulated over several months, and I was not expecting anyone to come up same-day. But he was there within a few hours. That many jobs existing, and 2 of them proving more complex than was initially apparent, he worked for 6 hours into the dark, but barely charged above the initial (more complexity-optimistic) estimates. Most surprisingly, the next morning he contacted me, having taken pictures of some work he did on an outside pipe (which was not finished until late night in the dark) saying he wanted to come back and redo it to a higher standard -- and that second trip was on him! I've definitely found the plumbing solution I will rely on for the future.

Fareed did a wonderful job not only diagnosing that my water heater's issue, but explained me how to do proper maintenance on it, he shown absolute professionalism and left no stone unturned while keeping it at a more than fair price! It started because out old water heater had to be shut off by PG&E because there was a risk of explosion, Fareed did everything step by step to try to figure out what the core problem is. He tried to keep the cost as minimal as possible, until we found out our entire old heater has been contaminated and we needed to replace it. The new one is much higher quality than the old one we have, and he replaced all the pipes! The water heater installation went by smoothly and I will recommend him to anyone who has to have their water heater fixed! He did such an amazing job.

He was able to provide me a few options on water heaters and was able to pick up a replacement, and installed it for me all within a few hours time. Despite the limited space he had for the installation, he did an excellent job explaining things as he went along, and also explained how to get the most out of my replacement unit. Fareed came in when my previous plumber was unable to snake our bathroom shower drain properly. We were recommended to do an external excavation in order to unblock our drain by our previous plumber. In desperate need of a plumber for the change of gas valve that connects to my dryer when i saw their ads on google, this is after calling 2 companies that i think are just 3rd parties that will hook you up to the real plumber and of course will charge u more coz thery want commission... Farid answered my call personally and was able to set up a same day appointment with him plus he charged me a fair amount for his labor... he also connected my dryer without any complication... glad i have found him in google coz he did a good job on my old gas valve and dryer hence i vouch for Farid and his company... also very pleasant to work with
