They don't keep promises about scheduling, and they don't call when things change. They show up when they feel like it without calling first. They eagerly quote enough work to use up any available insurance you may have. They don't provide itemized invoices when they ask to be paid and won't divulge specific charges for labor or parts. The owner is determined that all breakage and damage, unless intentional is the financial responsibility of the customer. Owner stated he would go out of business if he had to pay for breakage, and when asked how often breakage occurs, he said, "All the time". I highly advise potential customers to avoid doing business with this company. This knowledge cost me $1000 and much heartache to discover. Happy New Year.

Beware of this company! They charge $135 per hour to do an estimate, which most companies do for free! The Journeyman plumber on scene was accompanied by a two week trainee that slowed him down considerably (on the job training). That journeyman padded his 5 1/2 hrs on the job by billing for 7 1/2 hrs., When called to the attention of the owner he provided no relief.

Water Fixers Plumbing & Filtration 2004 Preiska Lane Santa Maria, Ca., Letter of recommendation: Recently, I had the need to contact a plumbing service for a water heater problem. After an exhaustive search on the internet, I contacted the above reference company. I had no idea of what to expect with regards to the service or caliber of service. I originally thought only the worse possible experience as the water heater was new and had all the new gadgets on it with regards to the settings via the internet. Modern technology is not in my skill set. All that being said I was surprised to find out that the company was very skilled at resolving the problem at hand. First, I anticipated a large statement for the house call on the weekend, which is a fair statement. I spoke with Christ and Linda, both of whom demonstrated a surprising amount of concern to quickly resolve my problem. Chris obtained the pertinent data about the new water heater and spoke with my wife, who understands the high tech jargon better than I. Once the data was disclosed, Chris indicated that he would call us back with a solution. This being the weekend, I figured on having a long weekend of cold showers. Albeit, a couple of hours later, Chris called back and spoke with my commanding general (wife) at the conclusion of this phone call, the heater was reset and all the lights started to reflect the proper colors. After the call we waited to see if this long distant fix would work. I am happy to say that this action worked and the heater is functioning correctly. During the course of the weekend I received several calls from Chris and Linda, following up on the call. Their follow up greatly impressed me as their attention to detail was superb. They expressed a concern to ensure that the solution was adequate and I was happy with the solution. While I was very satisfied with the end result, the one aspect of this action was the fact that the company employees were so dedicated to follow up on their actions to accomplish the mission. The amount of time, to contact the maker of the water heater, (Rheem water heater) determines how to reset the heater on the internet is amazing. I think most companies would give you telephone number and leave the rest to the consumer. Rather than take this course, Chris took the time to call the manufacture and obtain the correct information to solve the problem and convey that message to myself and my wife. Perhaps another amazing aspect of this occurrence is the follow up that took place to ensure that the solution was effective and that the goal of correcting the discrepancy was appropriate. I strongly believe that the follow up action is indicative of strong leadership of management and these individuals truly support this philosophy. Their combined follow up action was not expected and I am very impressed with this company. I now have their phone number on my home speed dial for all related services by this company. It is unusual to have this level of professionalism and attention to detail in this current environment. My past experience has been one of getting someone to come out, attempt to correct the problem and present you with a large bill. With all the time spent on solving my problem, the company did not charge me for this assistance. While they did not physically travel to my home they did provide me with a great deal of time to solve the problem. They are certainly entitled to a fee for service. It is apparent to me that they place more importance to satisfying the needs of the customer. To me their professionalism and competence exceeded all expectation. I will use this company for all my future needs for their service. EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND DEDICATION TO SERVICE. Sincerely, Colonel Brazil US Army Green Berets

As you will see from the facts below water fixtures does not partake in ethical business practices and lack the knowledge and experience to locate a simple water leak. All claims in this review can be verified with documents and pictures. Home serve, a Watermain warranty company, sent out water fixtures to find the leak in our Watermain. Their tech was here maybe 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. He could not find the leak with his equipment. It is important to know that the leak was coming out of our drain pipe for the gutters and onto the street. He did not have a camera probe thing with him, which would have solved everything. I inquired about it he gave me some excuse as to why he did not have a camera. He determined we needed a new main. When we received the cost it was going to be $6443.80 total, the warranty would pay all but $1459.02 as a line would be significantly longer than the original. I received a copy of the proposal from home service and was shocked by some of the items. I will only list the ones that seem unreasonable. Number one hourly rate - $135 times 20 hours and $100 times 18 hours for the helper. I did not know digging trenches was so lucrative. Number two trench shoring, which I was informed by two contractors was not needed for $475. Number three miscellaneous parts/materials $1019.58. The two previously mentioned contractors told me that materials for that long of a main should not be more than $300 retail which contractors get wholesale price which is significantly less. That is considering they would be using the proper PVC. If they mark the materials by 30% which I believe is standard that's still only $390. After receiving the proposal I inquired about which PVC they would be using I was told the thickness was .113. Schedule 40 PVC which is .95 thickness is what both of the contractors and the water company said should be used. Back to the leak. It was found right next to the house and next to the gutter drain. I have pictures. No new line needed. Also water fixtures was searching nowhere near the actual water line up to 40 feet away from it. As you can see from the facts above water fixers does not partake in ethical business practices and lack the knowledge, experience and equipment to locate a simple water leak. If I had not done my research I would have paid much more than what I actually paid to find the leak and repair it. I also would have had materials that are far inferior to what is needed and potentially down the road would've had more problems.

They were the only company I could get to apply for the rebates for heat pump water heaters, and they did, eventually, get the water heater installed. However, there were many false starts, hiccups, and lack of attention to detail to that really soured the experience. I had 4 visits including at least 3 instances of them draining and refilling the entire water heater dumping all of the heated water away. Visit 1: Installed water heater, drained it, refilled it, left is still leaking, didn't bring extension cord, and used extension cord I explicitly told them not to use, zip tied said extension cord, damaging the sheathing, paid no attention to cable management, leaving the cables looking significantly worse than they were when they arrived, did not insulate pipes, ran condensate pump through walls, per request, but did not fill holes with caulk or any other insulator, leaving a hole from garage to house for hot air to escape into garage. Visit 2: Drained and refilled water heater, attempted to fix a leak, but did not fix it. Sloppily installed insulation on pipes Visit 3: Actually Fixed Leak, pointed out several flaws with previous visits, including sloppy insulation installation, but did not have materials to fix problems Visit 4: Drained and refilled water heater Installed and fixed some insulation, but left much of the original sloppy job. Left muddy footprints through the house to bathroom, including on carpet that was easily movable. Plugged in recirculation pump to wrong outlet causing it and the water heater to run constantly until I figured out the problem over a day later - this despite the fact that I told them explicitly what outlet it should be plugged into on a previous visit, and they gave me no indication that they were moving or unplugging any of the electrical. Communication: There were over 40 emails exchanged, including many repeatedly asking me to take steps that I explicitly could not take because the instructions that they were reading specify that the contractor must take the action. In the end, the water heater is installed and working, and they did appropriately apply the rebates, so I'm thankful that the work is done, but the experience was far from good.

The owner reached out to me on 10 separate occasions via text message beginning November 1st that I update my status. After 5 weeks of miscommunication I am satisfied with the job Victor and his worker did in my home . The little interaction that I had with Victor, he was very responsive and friendly. This was my original review : It was great communication at first to getting a water softener involved, however they were never able to follow through. My initial appointment was a no show. When I called 20 minutes after the scheduled appointment, the lady stated that I was not on the schedule . She then rescheduled me 2 weeks later. Well, they called me the evening before the second appointment and had to cancel due to staff being in the ER. They then rescheduled me 10 days later. I called 30 minutes prior to my third scheduled appointment, and she stated I was not on today's schedule . She stated they cannot come out today due to having to attend temergency gas leak. I understand emergencies happen, but keeping customers scheduled appointments is the professional and honest thing to do . It seems that they are short staff and emergencies are obviously a more priority than scheduled appointments. So now here I am five weeks later and still no water softener installed. I took the day off today for this appointment in addition to adjusting my work schedule the last two cancelled/no show appointments. VERY FRUSTRATING. It seems that more than one person is in charge of scheduling appointments, so maybe getting on the same page and confirming appointments 24 hours prior would be beneficial. I made the mistake of not getting anything in writing of my scheduled appointment The ladies who I spoke to throughout this were very apologetic and sincere. I would not waste your time with them.

We came home after a week of vacation and found that we had a hot water leak. We contacted Water Fixers and they sent out a plumber to check out the situation. After that we received a quote for the work to be done. We spoke to Lynda the Office Manager a few times and she was very kind and helpful. We also spoke to Victor, the Owner and he was very nice and professional. Victor explained to us what needed to be done to repair our slab leak. Fortunately the leak itself was small and had not done any damage so they did not have to rip up the floor. They did have to cut several holes under sinks, the hot water heater and in the ceiling in our laundry room as they had to put in new water lines and reroute them into our attic and down the walls into both bathrooms and the kitchen. We ended up having two plumbers doing the work and it took 4 days to complete the job. The two plumbers were very nice and worked very hard to get the leak repaired and made sure to verify that the repair was done correctly and that there were no leaks when they were done. The final bill was a bit more than the quote, but we believe that the charges were fair and we are satisfied with the work that they did. Water Fixers also took care of the leak detection themselves, which was really convenient so we did not have to have two different companies involved. We highly recommend Water Fixers for any plumbing job small or large.

The first time i used them everything was great! they changed my water pressure gauge but the guy put in backwards.. no water pressure. I called them back the owner ( at least I think it was) fixed the error. i have a water softener ( installed 2008 ) from another company. So I called the company who installed it. They installed ( 398.00 bucks ) new control panel bc it was leaking. OK good! two weeks later the water softener kept on running & would shut off!. I called them they send me a video do this & that! reset the gauge, water heater to low & shut the water softener off. the next morning my water tank over flowed. I call them they wanted to give me an estimate for a new water pressure, a thermo expansion tank all to cost an extra 472.79.00 buck. So I called Water Fixtures to see if that's true.. I only want to know if the Water Softener company is trying to get more money out of me. Anyway, I called made an appt they canceled last mintue Made another appt canceled again.. so I changed all MY appts & plans. still waiting to get some one over here. Then I receive a text from Home serve..it's not covered ( water softeners) I just want someone to verify if that is correct. Is the water softeners company ripping people off! I know I'll have to fork out some Benjamin's I just want it done correctly. The water softners work is still under warranty!

So Cal Gas had shut off our gas in the entire house due to a leak somewhere in our brick bbq. Water Fixers was called in the late afternoon and even though it was Saturday they were able to get a plumber out the next morning. Their excellent plumber Brian arrived on time and got right to work trying to find the leak. It was 94 degrees outside! He traced it to the valve embedded in the brick and took out tools (power saws, jack hammers, etc) to remove the bricks to get to the valve. After about 4 hours he had fixed the leak and I was able to call the Gas Company and to their credit showed up within an hour, pressure tested the line and determined it was AOK! Brian, the plumber did not destroy the bricks and swept up the dust and debris leaving the area clean. He also alerted me to another problem with the pipe bubbling up but not leaking yet. The crew back at the main office called the insurance company the next day and got permission to replace the line. Brian will be coming back at a future date to replace it. Water Fixers earned every star in this rating and we will use them again. Thanks for the great job.

I went to pay my water bill and noticed a significant increase and panicked! I knew I had a leak on my 1/2 acre property! Home was built in the 60s, no plan’s available, no evidence where any of the water lines were actually situated. I called Water fixers and was immediately greeted with kindness and understand. I have no knowledge of plumbing terminology! Their team, from the start, were so helpful! They heard my panick and Victor and his team came out same day! Victor even stayed later on day one to investigate further. They found the leak so quickly, fixed it and even helped me contact my water company to be sure my meter was working properly! I honestly can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond to help us get this problem fixed so quickly. If you are looking for a plumbing company that understands normal people don’t know plumbing lingo, a company professional, polite, friendly, and efficient..,. This company is for you. Big shout out to the good humans there! From he office staff, to the owner, to the plumbing technicians that assisted! You guys are great, and I’m forever grateful!

We contacted several water filtration companies in the area and we were disappointed with the lack of response to our questions about a complete home filtration system verses an RO system. When we contacted water fixers Lynda was very knowledgeable and responsive to our questions and sent information to us in detail to our email address for us to review and make our decision. Once we made our decision and signed the contract we scheduled an appointment. They were prompt and efficient in there work. Victor and Mike installed the system and asked question about placement of the system allowing maximum use of our under sink space. The install was done quickly and efficiently because of the experience and attention to detail of the technicians. We are working with them now on a hot water circulation system to prevent wasting water while waiting for hot water to reach the fixtures. They also provide service to systems they install and any other plumbing needs we or you may have. Based on our experience I highly recommend Water Fixers for your plumbing and filtration system needs.

Plumbers sometimes get a bad rap, but Victor and his team at Water Fixers in Santa Maria were absolutely outstanding. They recently installed a reverse osmosis filtration system and a pressure relief valve in our home, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, they took the time to answer all of my questions and made thoughtful recommendations based on our household’s specific needs. It was immediately clear that he and his team are extremely knowledgeable, honest and fair. They take real pride in their work, and it shows in both their craftsmanship and professionalism. The work was done efficiently, cleanly, and with attention to detail. I felt confident every step of the way and never felt rushed or pressured. I am already looking forward to continuing to work with them as we replace our old water softener which has stopped working. I 100% recommend Water Fixers to anyone in need of plumbing services for their home or business. Very professional, trustworthy, and a genuinely great experience overall.
