What To Watch Out For

Disputed billing practices: owner counted warranty-covered time plus corrective work hours as full billable hours, and attempted to charge additional fees for rescheduled appointment after failed initial visit.

I was assigned UPP via my home warranty and had an excellent experience. The technician, Louis, was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Louis left such a good impression on me that I will be using UPP for any future plumbing work I need.
Had a leak at the Water Heater and contacted my home warranty company. Set up with UPP and within half a day, it was scheduled. Jeff was able to diagnose the issue and start the warranty process. After Home warranty approval, there was a balance I had to pay on top of deductible. Instead of waiting for payment and waiting on warranty to finalize, Jeff told me he will start the work and came back with new Water Heater and other needed parts. After about 2-3 hours, everything was operational and invoice of remaining balance was finalized. Amazing work and refreshing to be treated as a priority to get the ball rolling, instead of the standard operating procedure that a lot of companies use now to delay work, make excuses as to why they can't. Will recommend and use them again!
Stay away if you care about value and honest pricing. We connected with this company through our home warranty service. The technician misdiagnosed the problem and had to return within an hour when the leak they fixed was still leaking. They did an extra section of pipe and then the company owner called us saying his worker spent four hours at our condo--he counted the time covered by the warranty company plus the technician needing to correct an error as productive time. There are many good plumbing companies to call, don't call this one!
We were scheduled for service through a home warranty company (paid service fee in advance of repair - that's how they work) and UPP said they called me 8 times as no one was answering the door. My phone showed one missed call that I immediately called back only to be told that I was a basically a liar. He did not use that term specifically, but continued to tell the story that he did call numerous times. Weird how my phone works differently than his.... could it be they called my home phone which is disconnected? A neighbor said she saw an occupied plumber truck parked a street over. Advised they would need to reschedule and an additional charge would apply. NO THANK YOU. What happened to customer service??
The employee that was driving this company van this morning was driving reckless. He/ him, she/ her, they/ them rudely cut me off while we was on the highway in bumper-to-bumper traffic. One of the fastest ways to run a business out of business is auto accident lawsuits. I don’t know what pronoun to use due to the illegal window tint.
