I called Tidy Tank plumbing because my sump pump line broke. Dan was here within 45 minutes. He looked at the obvious issue but then investigated further to make sure that there were no other related issues such as frozen drain lines, etc. He went through all of the options from doing a simple repair to replace it with a top quality sump pump and backup system. He did not push me in any direction nor try to upsell me. Once the choice was made he had all of the equipment on the truck, completed the work, tested the system, and cleaned up. I've always had very good luck with their septic service and now I can add their plumbing service to that.
Was contacted by Tidy Tank Septic reminding me that the last service had been almost three years ago, and did I want to schedule a service. Set up an appointment for the very next day. They arrived at the scheduled time and got the job done thoroughly and efficiently. They explained what they were doing and documented everything in pictures and on the invoice. Their prices have gone up quite a bit since our last appointment, but I guess it's on par with every other price increase in the country. A very professional experience all around, I would definitely recommend this business to anyone looking for septic tank maintenance.
Great experience with Tidy Tank Septic! Brad handled my septic pumping and was incredibly helpful. Not only did he get the job done smoothly, but he also took the time to explain my whole setup and what to watch for over time. I left the visit knowing a lot more about my system and confident about when I’ll need service next. I’ll absolutely be calling them again. Highly recommend!
Ron's Tidy Tank managed to ruin a good customer relationship. We had been super happy with Ron's pumping service since we moved here almost 4 years ago. Recently we needed to have some emergency repairs done and they came out for a prompt estimate and gave us a great price, several thousand dollars under another estimate. Great, right? Well, it's 2020 so like everything else, it didn't work out as hoped. The work was scheduled, we even received a reminder call the day before. On the day of the work as scheduled, Jim called us to say "You're going to have to find someone else to do the work" !!! And offered absolutely no help or guidance as to who we should call or why, or what we should do! His demeanor made us feel like WE had done something wrong. No apology, and really no explanation other than "employee disruptions". Just - "bye". He could have actually expressed regret and compassion about bailing on us at the literal last second and leaving us scrambling to fix our problem. We actually had to call back later in the day and ask for help to try and figure out who he suggested we look to for help - and he acted like it was all a big inconvenience. Unfortunately we no longer trust this business after putting us in such a reactive and defensive stance. They lost a loyal customer and all future business.
never in my entire 39 year have heard of such a disrespect company in my life! My neighbor who has had service with them for years called in for an emergency and the manager told her they couldn't help her........The poor 81 year old woman had fecal matter coming up through her toilets and drains.......Mind u she just had her septic system serviced LESS THAN a year ago with THEM! They refused her service when she needed it the most.......I'm sorry but if you're answering the phone and still in the office and people are calling in for an emergency service which you offer you need to respect your customers and on top of it your senior citizen customers! I've never been so appalled in my life! We along with all of our neighbors will be finding another company! If I could give this company negative stars I would x's 10
Post from 3/20: I have had Ron's Tidy Tank come out several times in the past few weeks. It all started with a semi annual inspection of the system. They came out and told me my system needed to be pumped again even though they just did it a few months earlier (at the previous service and also installed a new multi flow). When they had come before, I had asked why my neither of my alarms went off and they had said it probably did and I just didn't hear it. They rechecked alarms at the time and said everything looked good. Now when they told me it needed to be pumped again at the recent appointment, I asked again why my alarms didn't go off. They told me this time that it was probably bad wiring. So they came back out after pumping it to replace the wiring for the alarms. The 2 guys they sent tracked mud in my house that was falling off the top of their boots all over the stairs and my front porch looked like a war zone. The first guy attempted to drill a hole in my basement wall sideways on an angle and in the process cracked my foundation and got his drill bit caught in the wall. Then they finally came up with idea of drilling from the outside which worked although they created a new baseball size hole in the foundation separate from the original partial cracked hole where the drill bit was stuck. Meanwhile, both guys were coughing up a storm which made us nervous since this was the height of the coronavirus. After finishing the job, they told me everything was working great and they had cleaned up and patched up the holes. I was on a call for work, so took them at their word and paid them an additional $1,250 on top of the other three big bills I had just paid. I went downstairs after my call ended viewing about 13 mud spots on the stairs on the way down only to see the insulation they had removed from the wall was left laying on the ground along with a pile of crushed rocks remnants from their drilling. Also, it appeared from the inside that they had done nothing to patch the wall. OK, I was upset but they had supposedly fixed the problem so I spent two hours replacing the insulation, cleaning the stairs and disinfecting the house. I didn't want to see them again so I didn't bother calling to complain. Well, unfortunately it looks like I will have to see them again as my septic system is currently overflowing in the backyard and NO ALARM IS GOING OFF! I called their emergency line at 1pm on Saturday and still have not heard back from them as of Sunday morning. I guess they don't work an hour past their stated times on Saturday which is until 12pm and don't come for emergencies at other hours which I find ridiculous. The crazy thing is they still haven't diagnosed or figured out why the system itself isn't working and why it keeps overflowing (something I figured was a given to be fixed since they had been out so many times now and had virtually replaced every possible item) let alone fixing the stupid alarms. I will no longer take the excuse that it must be something that we are doing to kill the bacteria (cleaning supplies, wrong detergent, etc) as we have now replaced everything that would be considered not safe for septics. I will keep you posted as to how this develops..., Update 6/20: After seeing my initial review, the owner called and asked if they could come back and try to fix it. I figured I owed him an opportunity to so. So I gave them another try to fix the problems I had and for a couple weeks after they came back out, the issues seemed like they were resolved. Unfortunately, after a few weeks the alarm started going off again and I was told when they came out, that the alarm was doing it's job but my tank required another pumping since it was over flowing. This time I called another company to fix the issue as Ron's Tidy Tank couldn't get me on the pump schedule for another month which I found ridiculous. The other company pumped the tank and cleaned it thoroughly unlike Ron's. Here were the issues they uncovered: When Ron's Tidy Tank installed the new power lines to the house, they could have just gone from the existing dedicated line box attached to the back of the house but instead chose to dig up the entire yard and put a hole in my basement (see pictures). They also put the electrical box together with duct tape and left it in a state of disrepair (see pictures). Several items were noted by the other company to be broken and they indicated it hadn't been cleaned properly. When I informed the owner about all of this and asked him to remedy it (by giving me some $ back for the shoddy work or just a refund on the prepaid service contract since I wouldn't be using them anymore), he got very angry and refused to do either and also threatened to release my credit card information to the internet. Look at all the other negative reviews. It is amazing this company is still in business.
From the scheduling department to the service I received so far, has been a great experience. I scheduled one routine cleaning of the septic tank and needed ejector pump looked at. The woman scheduled the service men was so nice and accommodating and was sooner than I thought we would be having a service team come out. Great job!!! For the ejector pump, we thought the whole thing would need to be replaced. In fact my husband and his friends were going to try to do so but there was not a time that worked for both of them. Thanks goodness they didn't. Service scheduler called and asked if they could come early for the appointment. I have never had that happen with something like this. Usually you wait and wait. Sean and his assistant (sorry didn't catch his name) showed up and were so polite and got to work right away. Within minutes told me it was not the pump but a minor issue and they could fix right away. We thought we would need to spend 500-700 dollars on this and was only a fraction of the cost to get our spare bath up and running. They stayed a bit and made sure everything was fine. This company has the best employees I have worked with in a long time. From scheduling to service, they were accommodating, polite, clean and awesome to work with.
STAY AWAY! I think this company might be paying AI to give them a 5 star review every day. No idea how their rating is so high. We had an issue with out septic tank alarm and they came out. Triple charged us for the “evaluation” and diagnosed our system needing to be completely replaced which would be $25k-$45k. I sought out a different opinion and we discovered that they unplugged our pump which caused our whole septic to fill in 1 week. Very dishonest work. Clearly they were trying to trick me into a huge cost. We just plugged it back in and haven’t had an issue since. The guys working are not very experienced. I would never call them again. Yes I talked to a manager/supervisor and he promised to call me back first in the morning a few weeks ago…. Still no call. UPDATE Owner Joe: again I still have not received a call back. I called several times to whoever the “supervisor” was. He’s not good at call backs I guess. And you are good at responding to google reviews but not at picking up the phone. My review would be zero stars if that was possible
Note i've used Ron's Tidy Tank since 2004. I called them to see if they could deal with a possible issue with my water pump. The building wasn't getting water. The phone call was actually recorded and I clearly state that it was not an issue with my septic tank! I figured since they deal with pumps perhaps they could help me. Yes we can. It was a $95 service charge to come out and I believe it would be used towards the bill. Well the guy gets out there and says he only does septic tanks and left. They still claimed I owed the $95 even after me clearly stating what my issue was. I just found out today from Helmer Septic that Ron's Tidy Tank is under new ownership and there are a lot of unsatisfied customers these days!!! I'd stay away!!!
I called today with an emergency, our septic was backing up into the house. Valerie was very friendly and knew that I needed to get this done ASAP. She contacted a driver she knew was in our area and called me back to let me know they could be there in 45min. Well I can't tell you enough how grateful I was...! Craig showed up knew exactly what to do where to go and explained to me what was happening since I never lived on a septic before. He took care of the problem and cleaned out our septic and said your good for 2 years! Let me tell you I wasn't ripped off on the cost either, very fair price for such fast service. I will be using them again and referring to our neighbors. Thank you Valerie & Craig !!!
We had a sewer line back-up recently and called Tidy Tank for assistance. They responded quickly and put together a technical plan to determine where the blockage was. It turned out to be a major issue that took several days to resolve. All along the way, the plumber in charge, TJ, was completely engaged in finding the source with minimum disruption to the home. He had skills, confidence, and drive that were unlike any other. TJ and his co-workers treated our home like their own and were consistently comforting and reassuring. Everyone who owns a property needs competent plumbers whom they can trust and rely on. Tidy Tank is your source!
In order to pump out tank about 20, 25 year old established hostas had to be removed. In the past, they were simply dug out and then put back when filling up the hole. Brad from tidy tank proceeded to chop them up in little pieces along with the dirt he removed. He then used the dirt with chopped up hostas to fill up the hole. It would not have been that hard to shovel them out, remove the dirt, fill up hoke with dirt and put the hostas back. The job to pump out the septic tank was 577.00. For compensation, I was offered a 30.00 credit on my next job. I was in shock and very upset at hiw the job was handled.
I needed Emergency service on my septic tank. I had another company that we used for years. Well they never answer the phone during normal business hours on a Tuesday. Left Messages for them without a callback for three hours. I call Ron's tidy tank and they were nothing but professionals from the start. They fit me in to there very busy schedule and showed up in 2 hours from my call. The tech Brad was OUTSTANDING. Had the problem fixed in 45 mins and was such a caring guy that really enjoys helping people. What a great company. Customer for life. Thank you Brad and the team at Ron's tidy!!
Avoid if you want good service, as they are the worst I've ever experienced. Their service team couldn't clear a main line, dug an unnecessary hole in my yard, and ultimately charged over $200 for getting nothing completed. Jim, the supposed owner, even hung up on me during a follow up call. I wasn't cursing or being irate, simply trying to find a solution or get a refund. To contrast that, T & T Weidners' also had trouble clearing and tried from inside and out (without the digging). The difference: they didn't charge me, and walked me through the proper solution, albeit more expensive.
Raiders of the Lost Fart. I called Ron's Tidy Tank the other day with some concerns about my septic system. I'm new to this all so they walked me through my issues. They came out very quickly to service my septic which was beneath my patio. The previous owner of the house left no details of exactly where BELOW THE PATIO it was. They found it quite quickly and took care of things in a flash. I am happy that I found a company that I can trust to do a good job and bill me a fair price. Call these folks when the shit hits the fan!
