After posting a negative 2 star review for Trenchless Co. for assuming the work was overpriced. Didn't realize the scope of the work that needed be done. Max Greenburg (owner) reached out to me and explained what the job I paid for entailed. Lot more than I realized and why I was charged the amount for the work. After speaking with Max several times today , he came across as an honest owner who truly cares about his customers. Will recommend this company to anyone who needs work done in what they specialize in. 5 stars....
Excellent customer service! If you get Lucy when you call you're guaranteed top notch service. She knows her stuff and outstanding phone skills! I had them add a clean out to my home. Matt came out I actually need new sewer pipes as mine are cast iron.. but Matt was very personable and I explained that I didn't have the money now for new pipes, so he suggested that I add a clean out in my driveway since the house never had one, and that way they would have easy access if a clog was to occur. The price very very affordable. I just bought the home and I wasn't aware of how old the sewer pipes were... The team they sent out (Apolonio/Freilyn) were also fabulous, friendly, and answered all my paranoid questions. They took care of the first part of the dig and remove around a 3x3ish square, and cut the pipe and put in the new pipe for the clean out, and filled the hole with dirt. There was rain in the forecast, so a different team (Rick/Shawn) came back and filled the hole with the concrete and they also answered all my new home owner questions. Both teams were very knowledgeable and personable. From a new homeowner who had called several companies regarding my sewer pipes this was the most super stupendous all around best company I have encountered. I have also worked over 30 years in customer service, and I know most people are quick on the negative, so I wanted to give a really good positive about my whole experience. I will be using them to re-pipe my sewer once I can save up for it. I hope this group of people get the acknowledgement they deserve!
I would give The Trenchless Co. 10 stars if I could! From the first call with Lucy for scheduling to the crew completing the job, the entire experience was outstanding. This was a challenging slab leak that had stumped multiple other plumbers and detection companies, but this team stepped in with confidence and determination. They solved the issue and professionally executed the repair. The workmanship was excellent, communication was great throughout. I’m so grateful for this crew. Thank you to everyone at The Trenchless Co. on Elvas Ave—you’re the best!
I thought the company was good, outstanding even. But the first good rain showed me something different and frankly amateurish. My clogged pipe is fixed and my toilets are no longer clogging and thats a good thing. However, they had to remove a section of sidewalk to make the repair and therein lies the problem. They obviously did not repack the dirt underneath the sidewalk so that the area that they dug has sunken along with the section of sidewalk they removed and re-installed. Not happy anymore.
Please, please get a second estimate. I will never use this company. I had a leak at one of my properties, and after paying more than $12K to this company, they were unable to find the leak but ripped up my bathroom, floors, walls, etc. They didn't repair my floors, tiles and carpet because they had to break it up and find leak source, which they failed to do. I had an argument over putting things back and they were not going to do it. All that expensive work and still couldn't find source of leak. They are very shady if not incompetent. I have attached their estimate. In the end, my handyman found the source of the leak and it was from outside, where the tenant left the hose bib running for his dog to get water. I do not recommend them for any leak detection/repair or at least get a second estimate.
Overall, we were happy with our experience with The Trenchless Co., but there were a couple glitches. Years ago, we had a sewer line that broke because it was pushed up by a huge tree root, and roots had clogged the line. At that time, we had a giant hole dug in our front yard and a section of the pipe replaced by another company. Fast forward about 10 years, we had another major blockage, another company rooted it and told us we needed to tear up our yard again. We decided to wait and see, since the sewage seemed to be flowing without a problem, and we had just redone our landscaping! Then 4 years later, about a month ago, our toilet was bubbling, and the tub and shower backed up with sewage again. I called another company to rooter it, they told us the whole line was full of roots, and charged us $268. They gave us a non itemized quote of $5800 to do a pipe burst and replacement, and suggested we get other estimates. My next call was to TTC, and they sent Rahmein out to do an inspection and free quote. He was very professional, spent a lot of time with us and gave us quotes for either installing a liner in the pipe, or pipe bursting and replacement. They were both expensive, but the pipe burst was about $1000 more, and in addition to the hole that would need to be dug at the clean out, it would require a second hole dug out near the sidewalk. We didn't want our establisted landscaping destroyed, so we opted for the pipe liner. A week later on a Friday, a crew showed up on time at 8:30am, and started digging around the cleanout next to our front door. The three man crew were nice guys, but we were not sure about their abilities. Turned out, we were right to be concerned. Mid-afternoon, they seemed to be panicking. Something went wrong when they tried to pull out the "balloon" liner that expands the resin liner and cures the resin with hot water. Apparently, the liner had collapsed and was no longer usable. So, they started digging up the front yard, having to remove the bender boards, ripping out our drip tubing, and removing a couple plants. They cut out the section of the sewer line where the liner had collapsed, and because it was getting late, they put a new section of pipe at both ends, so we would have a working sewer line over the weekend. They said that it was their mistake and would most likely have to do a pipe burst, but it wouldn't cost us any extra, and someone would contact us on Monday morning. By the time they left that Friday, it was very dark outside, so I suppose they weren't able to see what a mess they left behind. I spent over an hour the next day scraping mud off of our porch, walkway, and driveway, and hosing it all down so no one would track mud into the house. The next day (Sat), our sewer line backed up again! In a panic, I called TTC and they sent a young man named Hunter. He was super nice and empathetic, and although at first he thought he couldn't do anything because there was no clean out in front anymore, he used a snake in our kitchen clean out on the back of the house, and it worked, thank goodness! Monday rolled around and we didn't hear anything. Tuesday, I left a text for Rahmein, and he called back late in the day, saying he would try to get us on the schedule by the end of the week to finish the job. He told us that it did look like pipe bursting was necessary, and asked if we were OK with the extra $1000 we were originally quoted. We told him firmly that we were NOT OK with the additional charge, and he said he would talk to his boss. The next day, we received a text from TTC saying a crew would be here the following morning (Wed), and indeed, they were. Paul and Damien showed up early Thursday morning, assessed the situation and got to work. They were AWESOME! Unfortunately, they had to dig up even more of the front yard, but they did it in a more careful manner, and were concerned about the damage that had been done to our plants. They spoke to someone at the office, and told us that the company would be giving us a gift card from a nearby nursery, and lo and behold, a gift card for Green Acres in the amount of $150 arrived in the mail the next day! In the end, we are pretty satisfied with the finished work. I know that many companies are short handed these days and TTC is super busy apparently, but I cannot give them a 5 star rating. We felt like we were left hanging for a few days, not knowing when our front yard would be back to normal, when we would be able to use our dishwasher and washing machine again, and we now have a lot of clean up work to do on our landscaping. At least I'm pretty sure we will never have another problem with our sewer line (knock on wood!!), and that makes it all worth it!
HORRIBLE Experience! Here's my story. Sorry in advance it's a long one. I had a water leak and needed my water line replaced. I live in Midtown and my water line goes through my neighbors yard to the alley. When TTC was here my first question was is it going to be an issue with the neighbor? He responded "no, we will take care of everything!" After some price negotiations and having to send over one of the other company's estimate "as proof"I accepted the bid and paid the over $800 deposit. They scheduled the job for about two weeks later. The day before the work was supposed to be completed they canceled the job. Their reason was that they needed to get an additional permit. I was a bit annoyed at this point because they waited until the last minute to tell me because I had already scheduled the day off work. I asked them to please reschedule as soon as possible. About a week went by and they provided an update and said the neighbor was NOW denying access/permission to complete the work, but they were working on it... Another week goes by. According to them the neighbor is still saying no, but they offer to replace the pipe around several neighbors properties but would need to come out and give another estimate. This about 4 times the length and cost I am assuming. No thanks. I sent a copy of the easement to the tech and manager and to the neighbor/owner. About 2 more weeks and several unreturned calls and texts to the office, tech and manager and we still did not have a new date for the work to be completed. This entire time my broken pipe is leaking 30 gallons an hour! I am extremely frustrated at this point. After basically begging for someone to call us and provide an update we said we would only wait one more week. Which we did. So after an extremely frustrating two months we found another company to complete the work for about $2500 less than TTC, and the job was done in less than 2 weeks. I also found out the real reason the neighbor was not agreeing was because the TTC told him he had to fly from another state to sign some paperwork! WHAT? He was actually cooperative wanted us to complete the work the entire time! I feel like because they already had my deposit they were in no rush to do anything, and they lied about the neighbor to try to get me frustrated enough to pay even more. Once I provided the easement, they could no longer lie and blame the neighbor. But they still would not schedule the job. In the end they still made me pay the permit fee they never used. I don't think I should have had to, but it was a small price to pay to NEVER have to deal with this shady company again. They called me to ask for my address to send the refund to. It is the same address where the job is and they had been to but apparently did not have it on file. The last interaction I had with this company was a call telling me they confirmed the check was in the mail. I never received a check because my credit card was refunded a few days earlier so ok.... The folks at this company lie, are unresponsive, charge you for things you don't use, and NEVER complete the work. Do yourself a favor and go with another company! It will save you time, frustration and a lot of money!
I guess it was bound to happen. Yet another sewer related issue on an older house that we bought just 4 years ago. We had some blockage, and the line had to be cleared. As it turns out, the problem was bigger than that and the sewer line had to fixed ASAP. The 1st company that I had out was new to me, and for the most part, identified the issue correctly after clearing the blockage. However, the upsell was just ridiculous, and slammed me with a crazy estimate of up to 25K. Not sure if I had the word "sucker" stamped on my forehead. As you can imagine, I didn't go with them and had to basically forced them out of the house before incurring more charges from just that initial visit. After getting more estimates from two more plumbing outfits, I settled on Trenchless. Kudos to our technician Eric M-L. He was prompt, courteous and professional from the start. He was essentially the project manager that managed the entire project from the initial assessment, digging, bursting, inspection and hydrojetting. Eric was a true professional true and true. I would give a 5-star just for Eric. In retrospect, Trenchless was a legit company from the beginning when Eric didn't charge me for the initial inspection knowing that I've got a must-fix issue. The whole experience had no hiccups. Trenchless' process was simple, and meticulous. Their online system tracked the whole project and included an online payment system. As an IT professional, I would know. So, some of you may wonder why I gave them a "4." It's actually pretty simple. The cost of the whole thing was just North of 10K, and I supposedly got a discount. I, personally, feel that's way too high just for 4 days of work. Their hourly rate is almost comparable to a Senior Accenture consultant's rate. I am just a regular working guy. Max, I hope you're reading this. I understand that you're also the owner of Ace Plumbing. I'm hoping with the additional coverage and resources, you're able to lower the cost. A lot of us out here know that we've got issues with our plumbing, but we're gonna be less likely to fix it if it's going to cost and arm and a leg.
Rahmein at The Trenchless Co has provided the highest quality customer service I have experienced from a plumber. They provided twice the amount of communication requested, and even allowed me to specially request an employee. Although the original employee I requested was unavailable, they decided to match me with a senior employee Rahmein who was even more experienced and has provided exceptional customer service. He has been prompt, friendly, professional, hard working and provided exceptional value. Customer service is extremely important to me as I believe it is a dying skill, and Rahmein and the Trenchless Co have it. I was originally quoted a price from an after hours scheduling outsourced employee of their company. When he came, he recognized that the service was going to need additional work. He called his manager, discussed this and honored the original price, this was a significant discount to the company however it showed Rahmein and their company they valued their relationship with their customers long term over the short term price. I can tell that their customer service is what we call their unique value proposition in sales that defines the difference between them and other competitors. Customers want to buy from companies that they can TRUST, they not only buy the service. Despite this being a difficult job, Rahmein remained professional, understanding and friendly. I highly recommend Rahmein for your service, and that you ask for him. I stand behind The Trenchless Co and their service. His manager as well as very professional and provided great service. He is proactive and even called me additionally to ensure that I received proper communication regarding Rahmein's arrival. I'd also like to add that the original fix request was $70 less than what Roto Rooter was going to charge. I will most definitely choose Trenchless in the future and recommend them to my friends and family . Thank you Rahmein, his manager and their team for providing excellent service.
While buying our new home, our agent arranged for The Trenchless Co. to inspect the sewer line and clear a blockage that had been found by a previous company. We were told that for just over $1,000 they would jet the line, clear the blockage, and fully clean out the system. This was a challenging job, as two other companies had been unable to even locate the sewer clean-out. The technician from The Trenchless Co. did find it and performed the work professionally--he was knowledgeable, helpful, and respectful throughout the visit. However, after receiving the inspection results and jetting report, we were advised to pay an additional $500 for "more jetting" to clean the remainder of the line. This recommendation came after being told the original $1,000 service would clear and clean the line completely. Being asked for another $500 to finish work we believed was already included felt unreasonable and came across as an unnecessary upsell. The clean-out had already been located and the additional work would have required minimal extra effort, making the added charge seem more like a money grab than a genuine recommendation. Update: Max, the owner of The Trenchless Co., reached out personally and went above and beyond to make things right. He is sending a technician back out to complete the remaining work at no additional cost. Max was extremely professional and transparent, explaining that the crew had gone beyond the original scope of the call but agreeing that the job should have been fully completed--or at the very least, I should have been informed and given options before the technician left. His willingness to take responsibility and ensure the job is done correctly truly stands out. Because of Max's efforts, I'm now a loyal customer and a big supporter of The Trenchless Co. They've shown that they genuinely care about their customers and their community, and I sincerely appreciate the way they handled this situation.

10/10 if I could! We had our sewer and house repiped by the Trenchless Company in August 2024. See my earlier positive review of this work. This past week, we had a couple of toilet backups—one definitely our fault, and the other a complete mystery. We called Trenchless around 9:30 a.m., and by 2:30 p.m. Manual was at our house to check things out. This was on a Saturday. He took his time reviewing both the recent work and some older work they’d done for us about ten years ago—everything looked great. Then he went above and beyond, even climbing onto the roof to inspect the vent tube (which wasn’t part of any of the previous jobs). He also brought out a smaller camera to check around the toilet. He took plenty of video to help diagnose the problem, which may be around the toilet flange. One way to know for sure what to remove the toilet but before we took that step, he wanted to review the footage with his manager back at the office to confirm. A lot of firms seem to want to upsell everything and this never occurred during the visit, which I appreciated. Manual was at our house for quite a while, working carefully and keeping me informed throughout. He was polite, professional, and extremely competent—an excellent representative of his company. What really stood out to me was how respectful and communicative he was. My husband recently had surgery and couldn’t participate, and sometimes I’ve found that contractors prefer to “talk to the man.” That was not the case here. Manual treated me as the homeowner, kept me in the loop the entire time, and explained everything clearly. Oh, and the cost? Nothing at this point—his visit was a courtesy because of the earlier work. That kind of service and integrity is rare these days. If I could give him 10 stars, I absolutely would! Trenchless continues to earn our trust, and Manual exemplifies what great customer service looks like.
Not a good experience. The tech came to my house and accessed the problem and said it would be $99 to fix. He ran into a problem with the ptrap and explained some work would have to be done before they could clear the stoppage. They gave me an estimate for $1500 and said once the work is completed they could come back out and clear the stoppage. Luckily my uncle was able to complete the needed work. Once completed I called them back to clear the stoppage. This time a different technician came and said it would be $255. When I asked why he stated just in case he ran into a problem and something happened to his tool. I informed him that the prior technician said once the work was completed it would still be $99. He stated he couldn't do it and that the technicians who came out (2 of them) the first time was incorrect is stating the price and that they had to charge more in case something happened to their tool while clearing the stoppage. Basically sounds like charging for insurance in case they do something wrong. Bottom line.... don't use them or trust what they say. Shortly after writing the review of my experience I was contacted by the Service manager who explained the situation and the miscommunication by the technician. He assured me this was not the normal practice and worked immediately to remedy the situation and honor the initial pricing. I was scheduled for the next morning and my clog was fixed. The technician was on time, fast and courteous. I appreciate the service and their willingness to correct the problem. I have no complaints and Thanks again to the service manager for working fast to help!
I'm confused on how this company gets rave reviews unless people are not getting other estimates from other companies. The technician, Ray and his intern, Jacob were wonderful. Friendly, on time etc... I was told my 2" kitchen sewer line needed to be fixed. Ray explained how they would repair the entire line with lining and only have to dig a 3' by 3' in my home. When he gave me the estimate I about fell over! $12,000.00. Let me just say, I knew when I booked the appointment last weekend with their online chat their pricing would be high, but WOW! Now for the kicker... I had another estimate today from Affordable Trenchless. My sewer line is fine. No repair needed. It makes me sick to my stomach to think of the people this company has ripped off. Especially, the elderly. Breaks my heart. I hope this will be a reminder for anyone reading this, always get at least three estimates. Update 3/18/21 The owner, Max called and expressed is concern about my experience with his company. I appreciated is apology and his offer to personally come and check my sewer lines and see where the roots may have come from. I politely declined. I did share with him that I had another company, Express Sewer and Drain come out this morning and the technician told be exactly the same thing the technician from Affordable Trenchless told me. My sewer line is fine and for as old as my house it looked good. As a business owner, I understand poor reviews suck and can hurt business. This is not my intent for my review. My intent is to remind people to always get three or more estimates before signing a contract.
Because of my stupid thirsty tree, I've had roots in my sewer for years and gave used their $99 rooting services several times to temporarily clear out my sewers for over 3 years. They are great and get it done fast. I decided to finally bite the bullet and do a sewer replacement. Great customer service and Their prices were very reasonable compared others and they offered a several Trenchless options with 0% financing that the competitors didn't. We went with a sewer replacement where a new slightly smaller pipe with some kind of breaker tool which is snaked through the old one. They still needed to dig around the sewer vents near the house and where it ended in the city side but not my entire front lawn so that was good. Of course the job was loud but they competed it fairly quickly with a few days. My sewer was about 75feet long and my cost was about 10k in may of 2022. Came with lifetime warranty that is transferable to new homeowners and 5 years warranty on the connectors. I told them about my issue with the kitchen sink and laundry having backups and they informed me it was from buildup of toilet paper backing up for so many years. They included the pressure wash with rest of the work. We were a bit peeved when the water flowed back all over the garage and sink but they said it was normal and that it would subside. It was smelly and messy but it's been a two years now and no back ups in the sink, laundry or toilet. I really should have done this sooner and would have saved a bunch of money. It's nice feeling confident knowing your toilet isn't going to back up when hosting guests.
