Shower had slow leakI have 3 knobs to turn on shower /fill tub. Apparently these faucet stems are difficult to find depending on model. Ivan come out and he was able to track down a place that had parts I needed. I was told of pricing beforehand and I found him courteous, respectful and pricing provided was fair. I received pricing for possible future projects as well. If I go forward with future projects, ill be sure to call the drain team and ask for Ivan.
Thomas came out to our home to unclog a drain and provided excellent service. He was very polite, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly. While he was here, he also noticed that the toilet guts may need to be updated to prevent a future leak that could cause water loss and increase our water bill. I really appreciated his honesty and the fact that he was looking out for us instead of just doing the quick repair and leaving. Great experience and I would definitely recommend Thomas and this company.
We manage properties and this plumbing company goes out same day, gives you an honest evaluation, and leaves it up to you to repair. Because of the honesty you agree and let them do the work. They are reasonably priced as well. Chris 392 was excellent today. But they all are. Tony Perna Providence Team Realty
So, if you have a plumbing emergency- don't bother calling the Drain Team. It's been almost 5 hours now since I first called them and they aren't even following up. When I called back after 2 hours- they put me on hold and then never picked up again. I had to have our business owner call them from her phone and they answered right away. Not the best service to leave a salon hanging all day, especially one that you did the plumbing work on and have received good business from. They either do not have enough employees, poor management, undertrained dispatch, or just simply don't care. *Update- they just now called and said they can't come today. Wow- really! Could have just called someone else from the beginning. Tyler-DOLLYLOCKS SALON
We paid this company over $900 to fix a pipe that was leaking outside. Since they have done the work, there has been a problem. The pressure in the house is not right and they will not fix it. They sent someone out and who said "there is no problem" and now we have low water pressure in the house. Do not waste your time with this company. They are not willing to make something right that they messed up. Wish we would have gone with someone else.
I don't know if this will be my final review of The Drain Team. I'm leaving my initial review and the first updated one too. First and foremost, I want to thank Mr. Marcus Gannon who never pressured me and kept his promise to send his best man Antonio (from NYC originally) out to evaluate my problem and redo the video if needed. A quick Reader's Digest Condensed Version of my original review and the first follow up one. Now I have rated The Drain Team at a 5 of 5 stars and here's why. Pay attention to the timeline folks as it shows what kind of company you'll be dealing with when you hire them. My story starts in Oct. 2023 when employees Wes and his trainee came out to video my plumbing lines to see where my drain(s) were clogged. As reported in initial review they came out twice to do the videos of my pipes. It was determined that up to 15 feet of drain pipe needed replacement. Then offered me a discount on "jetting of interior pipe" too. Unfortunately it was later in afternoon so sun was shining onto the video screen making it nearly impossible to see. As I still had another bathroom and water was flowing and draining fine except for in my newer bathroom. I just shut that water off. Plus I had other things to address in my house like my new roof! I was in and out of town and as a disabled USAF retiree I have frequent medical appointments. Marcus NEVER pressured me and unlike the majority of companies I've done business with even almost 18 months after the initial video was done he IS A MAN OF HIS WORD. So today, 3/31/25 The Drain Team's Numero Uno video man Antonio came out to my house today. Antonio and Marcus have worked together for 18 years I believe and are good friends. It makes doing business with the Drain Team almost like a "family affair. So Antonio comes out and we start talking about what was done, as I show him where the cleanout is located. Important to note that half my house was originally built in 1951 and has a crawl space underneath. The newer part of the house was added in 2002-03 or so. Once Antonio saw the crawl space he talked about changing the pipes out from the old portion of house. That way my master bedroom floor wouldn't have to be torn up and I wouldn't need a section of my driveway torn up too. Antonio advised me that I should check and see if I could find a company to "put a liner inside the existing drain pipe." Here's the kind of people you'll be dealing with..... it isn't about The Drain Team making more money off of me it's about the best way to solve my drain plumbing problems. So as suggested by Antonio I am going to try to find a company to possibly place a liner inside existing pipes. He also helped guide me away from paying another company that would likely want me to pay them to do another video. "Tell them it is 50 feet of pipe at the most that would need to be lined." Antonio told me that he'll come back out to redo the video at no charge to me if needed. I don't know if I'll be paying The Drain Team to put in new pipes but I know I can say this without hesitation. If you have any problems with plumbing pipe clogs do yourself a favor, "HIRE THE DRAIN TEAM." You can't go wrong. Many thanks to two really great guys Antonio Napolitano, from NYC, the Service Manager and Marcus Gannon the Operations Manager. Thanks much gentlemen.
The Drain Team, hmm, named for draining your wallet. I had a plumber come out, he went over costs, which by the way, there's a cost for everything it seemed. I decided to have him snake it since it was a priority with the toilet water leaking over into the shower. The plumber finished and things worked for awhile, a day or so. The plumber said he can't go on the roof due to not being allowed cause they can break tiles with heavy equipment. Hmmm, I have a plumber friend who gets on the roof and he came out to fix the problems drain team caused. The first plumber though pulled up the toilet to snake it instead of the roof stack. This caused water to leak under a newer floor I put over tile. Plumber says to fan out to dry, so I do. It dried, but then I kept seeing water in the cracks of the stick tile. I had to pull he entire floor up. Good thing I did, water almost made it to our carpet. The toilet continued to work but the shower caused the toilet to leak out of the sides after I removed floor. I called again and a second plumber came out and did nothing. I called to explain and advise I wasn't happy about ruined floor. Plus I told the first plumber that the toilet needs to be sealed with two rings when my plumber buddy actually used an oversize ring with a normal one added when it was first installed. I wanted drain team to come back out and rewax ring and re snake since it says I have a 30 day warranty. The guy at office called and wanted me to explain several times. On the idea of having a 4th plumber come out, I told the office guy to cancel it. It seems they tried to prolong taking care of it so it would go past the 30 day warranty. The 3rd plumber even asked to look at first paperwork which shows well within a month. The 4th plumber says he needs to run to another job to get a camera to check things out after walking around house and asking questions like he cared, i'm not stupid, I can tell he was prolonging it. He never came back, so I called the office. I was told that he didn't come back cause talked to his boss. I originally told this plumber if it's gonna cost me more than I will just call my plumber friend. So apparently, since he didn't come back there would be more charge, see, what about warranty. My plumber friend, Antones plumbing, by the way, came out today and fixed "The money drain teams" problem. So, if you want to spend more money and get damaged bathroom, bathroom you can't use, and the run around, go ahead call these guys. Oh, and the office guy kept asking to effect what exactly is going on/what's the problem. I could tell it's just the run around again so I told him to cancel the 4th guy they have caused too many problems already. He tried to keep me on phone but told him to cancel. So now, I feel they basically stole the approx $234 they charged to snake drain, not fix problem and damaged our bathroom. Oh yeah, was told HR would call and they never did. Good luck "The Drain team" wish I could rate no stars.
After a difficult and disappointing remodel 2 years ago involving multiple contractors and plumbing companies, I admit I'd lost a lot of faith in the services provided to us in St. Pete. I'm very happy to report that faith has been restored because of our experience with Randi, our plumber and Pete the manager at The Drain Team. We had a main sewer line back up this past Saturday (2nd time in 4 months) which flooded our bathroom, living room and kitchen. Opting to use a different plumbing company than before, my neighbor recommended The Drain Team. I was stressed when I called Pete who reassured me and promised to have someone out to us later that morning. Randi arrived about an hour or so later and took care of everything within an hour -- all for a very reasonable price. Here's what sets this company (and Randi) apart ... he explained to us what was causing the recurring problem, roots which were invading the sewer line from the house to the street. He also determined there was a "lip" due to a poor connection at a joint in the line that was slowing everything down and causing a backup of refuse. Then Randi fully explained all of our options, keeping in mind the cost to perform each recommendation, from replacing the sewer line all the way to the street, to installing a safety valve outside of the house, etc. We never felt pressured in any way - he simply outlined our options and the associated costs. In short, he gave us all of the facts so that could make an informed decision in the future. The services he performed were competent, efficient, and timely. Randi was extremely professional, friendly, polite, knowledgeable. The humbleness he displayed was in stark contrast to my previous experience with the condescending attitudes of employees from other plumbing companies in the area. Randi followed up today to install the safety valve. This service call as well as the prior call were preceded by courtesy calls from the main office -- letting us know within a 30 minute window of when he would arrive. We plan to use The Drain Team to install a new sewer line this year and for all of our future plumbing services, which will include installing plumbing to a second bathroom we intend to construct and a landscaping water feature inside of our screened porch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED COMPANY.
The kitchen sink drain pipes (that are leaking) run inside a concrete block wall. My wife called the company to find out if they are able to fix this from start to finish and to get an estimate, the lady said that yes they could do the job. When the guy showed up I explained to him how/what we found and what could be involved in the repair, he then told me that they will cut the hole in the block wall but they will not do the patch work (strike 1). Since the leak detection person did not show me the exact location of the leak his demeanor changed and almost sounded as if he did not want the job and he mentioned that he would have to cut holes in kitchen cabinets (strike 2). After showing the guy everything he went to his van to write up what I thought was an estimate ( it was actually the contract to do the work) for a minimal $700 plus taxes and what ever else might come up. While I was reading the paperwork he told me to just sign the line that is a waiver for him to do the work. Here is were it gets interesting. He told me that they are NOT responsible for any damage that they might cause. Basically, if they accidentally cut into the water supply that we will have to pay for them to fix that (strike 3). I then explained to him again that all I wanted is an estimate of how much it would be. He said oh that's right, you did say that, he then goes to his van to rewrite the estimate and 5 minutes later I see him leaving with out saying anything (you're outta here!). I personally would not recommend these guys to thread a garden hose because if the mess up the threads they will charge you to fix them.
am so fortunate that I contacted The Drain Team and want to thank Shelton Home Inspection in St Petersburg for recommending them to me. I had a cast iron plumbing pipe that had an issue. I called the office and Reagan was fantastic in setting up a very quick appointment for George to come out and review the situation. George was awesome, very detailed in his research and explained what he saw as issues while he was showing me on a live video feed he was conducting. He gave me his quote on the spot for two different ways to fix the issue. I called in and spoke with Reagan to share that I wanted to have them do the work. I then drove a check up to her in her office so we could get the permit moving along quickly. By the time I got home, someone from The Drain Team had already been to my house to spray paint locations where utility and communications lines were located. Reagan or Christine (both were so professional and prompt!) called me back around 4:30 that same day with the permit number and stating they would be there Monday morning (It was Friday). George and Jason arrived at 8AM and got right to work. (Reagan called to tell me they were on their way). They were amazingly communicative, thorough and skilled, as they replaced a very large sewer pipe that was 4.5 ft under ground! They were fantastic and great guys who take a lot of pride in their work. They also viewed and cleaned the pipes under my house and thankfully told (and showed me) that they were in very good shape! I can't say enough about The Drain Team !! They are the Gold Standard in my opinion.
Jason of The Drain Team - Largo was awesome. We first called The Drain Team for a bad backup in our 1961 home. He cleared the blockage and videoed the entire system. He found roots in the sewer line going to the road, clogged vent pipes and what appeared to be a sagging pipe full of water under the bedroom. He cleaned the blocked vents and cabled the lines. He gave us an estimate for repairing the lateral that goes under our paver driveway and to excavate and repair the line under the bedroom. He suggested if we were to repair the lateral, they could hydrojet the rest of the house at that time to get a better view of the suspect bedroom pipe. A week later they were able to repair the lateral without having to take up any pavers. We opted for the hydro jet cleaning and they spent a couple hours cleaning out 60+ years of gunk. In doing so, they determined the bedroom pipe was, in fact, fine, just full of hard scale in a couple areas causing the pipe to hold liquid. By cleaning the pipes first saved me an over $3K repair and having to take up and replace the floor. Jason's integrity is beyond reproach. A lesser company would have jackhammered the floor. I called Jason back for another job to replace the original tub drain that had corroded into the almost closed position. Working in a small opening in a block wall, he was able to remove the drain and utilize the existing cast-iron trap to install a new assembly. Everything works great now. I highly recommend Jason and The Drain Team.
While watching water flow into my garage, I had a moment of clarity...I realized I much prefer our water to be inside our pipes rather than outside. It's just much more manageable that way. As the internet told me this job needed more parts, tools, and plumbing skills than I had on hand, I started calling a lot of plumbing businesses that advertise 24/7 emergency services. Long story short, i was looking at a long wait and a huge bill, unless I wanted to wait until Monday. The good folks at The Drain Team called me back, and let me know a plumber was en route. Hallelujah. I was still concerned that the estimate would be way outside my comfort zone, but I'd take any help I could get at that point. William showed up right away, and got right down to brass tacks: here's the problem, here's your options, and here's what it will cost... which was MUCH less than what I'd feared, based on verbal estimates from other plumbers. William is an incredibly friendly, easy-going gentleman who worked tirelessly to get the job done. He takes pride in his work, and didn't just throw a band-aid on the problem: he made sure the job was done right the first time. I definitely appreciate both the conversation and the quality of work, we're now a customer for life. Thanks again!
I would like to say thank you to (The Drain Team) for fixing my main plumbing line that I had at my residence. Both Daniel and George were both excellent and professional workers to deal with. The people in the office were also great the customer service and professionalism on the phone I couldn't ask for anything better. I had an old Orangeburg pipe that needed to be replaced Daniel and George informed me of what was going on with full details of the situation with actual camera footage to show me. I agreed to get the replacement done through (The Drain Team) I scheduled the replacement. Daniel and George both came out and dug up the old pipe and rerouted the new plumbing pipe line around the shed and was able to be done within one day of work. Very efficient these two guys were. The inspection was done the next day it passed no leaks were seen everything worked and Daniel and George both refilled the dirt back into the yard and everything was done. The repair process from (The Drain Team) went very smoothly. The whole company is a 10 star I can't give more than five stars but here's your 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to them thank you very much for your service. I would recommend this company to anyone with plumbing problems. This is a A++ company.
I called the drain team on the Friday during Thanksgiving weekend. Within a few hours they had a tech at my home to survey hot water heater issues. He went through a checklist of things including electrical, reset, temperature adjustment. No luck. Bad element. We discussed pros and cons or sourcing and installing a new heating element or replacing the water heater at a higher cost. I chose to replace the heater. The tech arrived as arranged and began the new install. In to the install we discovered that his tank supplier had given him a tank that would not fit the space allotted correctly. After some conversations with the supplier it was determined that they did not have the tall model needed to fit the space properly. After considerations and discussions the company authorized the tech to purchase the right water heater from a local retail store even though it was not in their protocol. They got the right unit and did the install quickly with additional professionals to assist. They turned lemons into lemonade. Perfection doesn't appear often in our world and the mark of professionalism and success is how we respond to problems. In this case it was very good. Use them if this is what you would expect from professionals you hire.
My friends if you ever need a plumber STAY AWAY from The Drain Team, they are spiteful and vindictive scum. We have been working on getting a pipe in our yard replaced and as such have been getting estimates. When this company was told they did not get the contract they called the county and reported my father for... get this... not having enough trees on the property, that's right in Pinellas county you are required to have at least 4 trees on your property. My father received a citation and has been given 90 days to plant the requisite number of trees. How petty is that you don't get the contract so you do something like that, Find someone else to fix your pipes this company is an enormous festering sack of rancid monkey spunk that somebody left in the sun to dry, and they deserves to have their business flushed away. Pun intended. So this morning after seeing this bad review, the company calls my father at 7am to complain to him about the review, because THATS how you get past a bad review, not by using better business practices but by throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler. Yup petty....
