Great customer service and quick response time! We've used Country Plumber for several years and have always had a good experience. Every employee we've encountered is helpful and knowledgeable. It's nice to work with a company that has a long-standing history of reputable service. Thank you!

The Country Plumber was recommended by the City of Portage Water department due to having a Lateral line potentially plugged by debris/tree roots. When Country Plumbers was contacted the receptionist was really polite and understood my concern. After checking with Management for response time a voicemail was left on my phone stating they could respond the same day. The Country Plumber team arrived validated the concerns removed necessary equipment and promptly snacked over 75 feet of lateral plumbing pipe finding debris that cause for blockage and basement flooding. Sine their repair the Lateral line is flowing free. Thanks to Country Plumber for the response, service, quality of repair and customer service. I highly recommend this business!

After our septic was pumped, I called a few weeks later to pay the balance. I hadn't received a bill in the mail yet but knew a balance was due and wanted to take care of if. Our bill was for $300 and I gave payment information over the phone. The next week when I sat down to pay bills, I noticed a charge for $309 on my account. I already knew what was going on but I called to clear it up. "Hey, you charged me $309 when my balance was $300. Please fix this." I was informed that bc I chose to pay with a credit card and not a debit card, I incurred a 3% fee. The person taking my payment over the phone did not inform me of this. I would have used my debit card and/or just mailed a check. I have both available. The receptionist said she checked with the office manager and says an invoice was mailed to me with this policy so it doesn't matter if the person on the phone told me about the 3% or not when taking my payment. This is a growing trend of small businesses wanting to punish their customers for paying their bills. Your cost of doing business is not *my concern*, but making me feel like I am doing something wrong by making a payment in a form that you accept will always turn me away from further business with you or reccomending you to others. Here is a pro-tip that other businesses do: Raise your prices by 3% across the board and then take payments without fees. This is what everyone else who is not openly charging their customers their costs of doing business is doing. Do that. What you gain from your 3% fee you lose in loyal customers and word of mouth reccomendations. This disappointment is on top of not being able to get a service call the last 3 times I have called (for non-septic issues). I am disputing the 3% fee with my bank.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5 Stars) I had a very disappointing experience with Country Plumber, Inc. and would not recommend them. They came to clear a clog and opened it through the downstairs toilet for $275. After finishing, they told me that roots were coming out and that the issue could be due to pipe separation, meaning the problem might come back. They said they couldn’t warranty their work unless they checked further, which would cost an additional $150. Since I wanted the job done right, I agreed, expecting the total to be $425. But when I received the bill, they had me charged EXTRA $450 instead of the $150 they originally stated, bringing the total to $725. The real issue isn’t just the cost—it’s that even after I paid extra, they still included a note saying “NO WARRANTY” and admitted that some roots were still left behind. So in the end, there was no pipe separation—just roots, which they didn’t fully remove. If they weren’t going to guarantee their work and didn’t completely fix the problem, why push for the additional service in the first place? I don’t mind paying for quality work, but I expect honesty and professionalism. Instead, I was left with an inflated bill and an incomplete job. If you’re considering hiring them, I strongly recommend getting all pricing and guarantees in writing before they do anything beyond the initial service.

If anyone needs their septic pumped anytime soon, I suggest NOT using The Country Plumber and save yourself a headache. First problem that arose was I called for the service at the end of August and was informed they could take my credit card for payment. Alright, good. Received a call a day before the service advising that since my appointment was made, they instituted a fee for credit cards and asked what I wanted to do. I informed the person, when I scheduled the service, I was told it was X amount of dollars and I’d like that price to be honored without the newly added fee. The answer was "Nope". Second problem arose when they came to perform the service. See the pictures attached, I think they speak for themselves. Called the business to make them aware of the stains left in my driveway. I was transferred to a manager who immediately said it would be simply impossible for anything to leak from their vehicle and that the tire marks were from the road, not their tires. Received the bill the other day, advising that 1400 gallons was pumped out. We moved into the house (brand new build) on May 7th of 2022, service was performed on September 26th 2024. This is 873 days of waste being collected in the tank. When a septic tank is pumped, they are removing solids, sludge, and scum from the tank. If 1,400 gallons (exactly) of solids, sludge and scum was removed, this means two people (only two people occupy the dwelling) would need to be producing 1.60 gallons of "solids" a day which I don't believe adds up given that 1 of the occupants of the dwelling doesn't even "use the bathroom" every day and for one person to create a gallon and a half of solid waste is not simply feasible. So again, stay away from this company if you want to save yourself a headache. It took forever (about an hour and half of constant brushing and cleaning application) to get the stains out shown in the first two pictures, a trip to the store and out of pocket expenses to clean up this companies . Tire marks are still present. Wouldn't have felt the need to leave such a review if the company would have heard my initial complaints and attempted to provide some sort of solution to any of the issues that transpired however automatically and immediately, nothing could be done about the credit card fee, and their driver simply couldn't have done anything wrong and their trucks and I quote: "Never leak anything."

Plumbing service technician would not call back although they were given a message. Then my wive saw them drive right by our place which is three miles from Briggsville and about 8-10 miles from where there business is, south of Portage. I think I need a pressure switch for our pump, which I could probably install myself in 15 minutes. It would make sense to me that there would be some communication so that they could do a “simple” job while in the area and not have to make a 20 mile round trip again to get back here? It would save them gas which shortly they might start charging us an up charge for and possibly even still charge me for a regular service rate even though they were right in front of my house. They have always pumped out our septic for 25 years and have made other plumbing repairs for us. Very slow water pressure. I think I may fix myself or am checking on another plumber right now. Very disappointed in them and will find another plumber. There are a lot of them out there looking for work. At the least I would have appreciated a call back letting me know when they might be able to do something.

The service was amazing from the start. From the first call all the way to the diagnoses and repairs. Ryan was fast and friendly. He made no interruption to my day and was very quick and professional. Coordinated with the city to have the water shut off to my house and was in and out repairing leaking pipes in my basement. Also was able to take care of a bathroom faucet leak i had as well. Despite the glowing review for service keep an eye on your billing. Mark up mark up. Needed a meter horn which has a flat price from the city which any person can purchase then to find out nearly 75$ added to the price by this business for the part. Called and spoke to the owner who was not pleasant to speak to and stated will send you a check for 35$.. still unable to figure out why the company is willing to send me half of the mark up and not full amount and why a city required part is being marked up from the installer.. I paid for the labor and part not a convenience fee/mark up.

For 15 years we had them do all our work. Last fall we contacted them about having a tub and surround installed. They gave us a ballpark quote over the phone and said to call back when we had the tub and materials on site. We called them back too let them know we had everything and find out when they could come. The receptionist took the message and said they would call us that afternoon our the next morning. No response....called about two days later and same thing happened. To make a long story short i called too the point where the receptionist would apologise when she heard my voice on the phone. She said she had passed the massages on and that was all she could do. Never once received a call back. I would have been fine if they just would have called to say hey we're swamped and can't get to it. But to just ignore us was so unprofessional. I do not understand why they treated a long time customer like that?

We were so very disappointed in this team. Our septic failed inspection during a real estate transaction. After repeatedly telling me they were going to send a camera and crew out to find the problem and then NOT sending a camera out, they wanted to rip up our entire septic system to replace it. Estimated cost of about $20k. They were impossible to reach to discuss this, didn't return calls, and you can't even leave a vm over the weekend. This was absolutely out of the question. Thankfully, we found another company that ran a camera, found the problem and replaced ONE PIPE for the cost of $1500. I wouldn't work with Country Plumber again, and I haven't. I've never written a review before, but since this experience was so painful, I felt I had to.

Great after hours service. I called very late Friday expecting to leave a voice mail but actually spoke directly to people. All our drains would not drain and toilet would not flush. They came Saturday morning and got it all fixed. He found a problem about 30 feet in but made sure to go all the way to the street which is 135 feet for us. He removed the toilet and made sure absolutely everything was working before leaving. They will definitely be our go to if we ever need help again in Montello.

Our septic alarm went off (on our newish septic tank) which was no bueno and had me worried. I called the night it went off and next day I got a call that technicians could come out! They were at our home within an hour, found the issue (filter needed to be rinsed, who knew?!) and they quickly remedied the situation. Both of the gentleman that came were so helpful, kind and pricing was very affordable. Would highly recommend (I’m not a review writer so this means something!).

We have used Country Plumbing since we moved back to WI. They did plumbing for our remodel. They stand behind their work and products. They replaced a furnace heat exchanger and got it done under warranty when I didn’t think it was possible. They also replaced a on demand water heater they installed during the remodel under warranty. Steve Burg really works with you to ensure a great outcome.
