I needed my kitchen faucet replaced at my home in Woodstock, so I called around to a few local plumbing companies. Some places quoted me much higher prices and couldn’t even fit me in for over a week. One company even tried to charge extra for after-hours work. I decided to give a different plumber a shot, and I’m glad I did. The dispatcher was polite and straightforward, telling me exactly when to expect the plumbers. I got a call before they arrived, right on time. Roger and Marvin came out, listened to what I needed, and got started right away. They finished the faucet replacement in about 30 minutes, and everything worked perfectly after they were done. Both plumbers were friendly and professional, offering helpful tips and making sure I was happy with the work. The price was much better than other quotes I received, especially since I already had the faucet ready to go. I was really impressed with the quick and reliable service. I’ll definitely call them again the next time I need a plumber in Woodstock.

We recently had a plumber come out to our home in Woodstock to help us again, and the experience was fantastic. The whole team is very knowledgeable and professional, always ready to answer any questions about plumbing issues or upgrades. Roger and the crew installed a tankless water heater for us, and we were really impressed by their attention to detail and friendly attitude. The prices were fair, and we appreciated how polite and helpful everyone was throughout the process. It didn’t take long before we had endless hot water running smoothly! We’re so happy we chose them and would definitely recommend their plumbing services to anyone in Woodstock.

I was really impressed with the plumbing service I received in Woodstock. When I noticed my water heater was leaking, I started looking for a plumber since I knew something was wrong. Usually, dealing with home repairs makes me anxious, especially because I’m on a tight budget, but everyone I spoke to from this company made the process stress-free. I reached out to four different plumbing companies, and Marvin was the only one who got back to me the same day—even on a weekend. He asked me to send pictures and a video of the leak, then quickly gave me a clear and reasonable quote. Scheduling was easy, and they worked with my availability. On the day of the repair, Roger from the office called to let me know Derek was on his way, and he arrived right on time. Derek was friendly, respectful, and explained everything in a way I could understand. While Derek was working, Marvin followed up with a call to check in and make sure everything was going smoothly. Derek finished fixing my water heater in less than half an hour, and the repair looked great. From the first call to the finished repair, the whole experience was smooth and positive. Marvin, Derek, and Roger were all helpful, open, and welcoming. Even though I hadn’t met any of them before, I felt like a valued customer. I’ll definitely call them again for any plumbing needs in the future!

The absolute worse contractor experience ever! Very questionable business practices in my opinion.I had the same experience but with a side of beyond rude from the mouthy owner (son Brandon Donahue of the old now retired owner Arthur Donahue) as the bad recent reviews .Most of the mostly great reviews were from when Arthur ran the company. (Also cute how they try to blame the previous owner for issues now on some reviews like they didn't know him).Arthur was great. He answered the phone on one ring, gave me the price on the phone, did a great job and even called after to make sure everything was good.Complete 180 from Brandon. Bobby their employee came out and I needed some new plumbing under and involving a few sinks. He told me it would be $199 that night (no repairs just looked)but applied to the estimate which Brandon would quickly give me. Bobby asked me what type of faucets I wanted and it was he said they pick it up and I pay them. That was fine. That was on 11.22. Then Rachel (Brandon's wife) and the everyone but Bobby ghosted me. It's always a bad sign when you repeatedly have to call a contractor. I called and so did my daughter no less than 4 times, I even emailed them. I texted them. I never got a price from them EVER. Finally on Nov.30 Rachel texted me back that she was putting me on the schedule for the next day 9 am Dec 1. and to have a faucet ready. That was less than one day notice with no pricing and not what I was told about the faucet. I texted that back and I was taking my daughter to the airport. She responded via text she would have Brandon give me the pricing that evening Nov 30. I also noticed on the receipt they emailed me that the $199 was for investigation and repair. So I brought that up to her. She texted sometimes the $199 includes the repair sometimes it doesn't (What???)Of course I received no pricing. Then they put Bobby up to calling me back. That was on Dec 1. He felt terrible but told me now they are no longer putting the $199 toward a visit and still didn't know the pricing and Brandon had to give it to me, also surprised re the faucet, said he didn't know what was going on. Then Brandon calls me literally screaming at me - bragging about all the properties he owns and how Bobby was at my house on Dec 1 at 9 am which makes no sense per the above but also a lie as i have a voicemail from him at 8:46 am asking me to call him back to iron out the details. He lives more than 45 minutes away but anyway per the vm clearly not at my house. I returned his call that afternoon and that's when I found out the above chicanery. Brandon's screaming, obnoxiousness and then threatening me made me realize they probably aren't on the up and up. I usually ask for a plumbing license, copy of liability insurance (they need this to operate in GA and only Arthur has one and he is the "previous owner" since 3.21 per them. Every plumber needs that comes to your home or biz needs a journeyman and or master plumber license in their name and liability insurance. Check GA law and the plumbing division at the ga secretary of state - you can look up who has a license etc. Home Advisor and Angies list manager (I have her name and number) informed me they were no longer allowed on as of July as they don't have the appropriate licensing and insurance. Also the code says they need a separate license to work with gas which explains that scary gas review. Hmmm. I am a senior and not in good health and feel taken advantage of. I really don't like having to spend my time reporting them to the BBB, chamber of commerce, ga sec of state, attorney general office etc Meantime my home deteriorated from the water leak they let me hang regarding. Btw, $199 is extremely high for a visit with no repair is almost unheard of in GA and maybe only a master plumber could charge that but usually wouldn't. Standard is free estimate, low cost to see the issue and or amount applied to the reasonably priced job. Again never even got the price for the job nor the repair. Clearly they should have refunded me to say the least.I will update this review if they return the $199 to say so.

Art and Matt scheduled appointments with me on 2 different days and didn't bother showing up either time or even call to let me know they weren't going to make it. I can't vouch for their work or not, but I would never trust a contractor who doesn't bother to show up to 2 consecutive appointments.

It is 2018 and the world continues to change in front of my face. I remember drinking water out of the hose attached to the side of the house after running three blocks with my male school mates. I played outside until dark and my Mother yelled out the front screen porch door that was not locked and I knew dinner was on the table. I grew up in a small town and we talked about sports, went to Sunday School and participated in the youth chorus on Sunday night. We watched Disney and Bonanza as a family. I remember getting my first bike not my first used car because I learned more about life while riding 5 miles to school because busing was not around. One of the most important things I connected to in my teen years was that we were poor and love kept us together as a family. I had to work 48 to 56 hours a week to pay my own way through college - And I did. Working in an office for more than 40 years, I have learned by the grace of God that we all put our pants on the way whether you are the janitor or the president. We all should have to work hard to be successful - some folks just have a bigger title but not a heart. I have come to a point (over 10 years ago) that I want to measure my net worth in friends not American dollars. All of my experiences have been priceless. I have been to over 35 countries and 47 of our United States. I have hosted customers at Super Bowls, National Championships in football, Final Four, World Series, the Stanley Cup, NBA Championships, Olympics, Ryder Cups and it goes on and on. What does all of the mean - well, today I experienced something that our culture had lost. Good old customer service and plus an honest company in Atlanta! For more than two months I have looking for a plumbing company to replace two hot water heaters in my home. I received in the mail Atlanta's Choice Savings Winter 2018 flyer last week. My wife and I had 4 estimates before the booklet and we just didn't feel right. The booklet had two more plumbing companies and I decided to call both of them. By the grace of God, I called and talked with Mr. Arthur Donahue in Woodstock. He has been in business based on our conversation for over 50 years. He taught me more in 15 minutes than all of the customer representatives or service representatives coming to our home with all the other companies. He knows Hot Water Heaters - PERIOD! Today our appointment was between 1 and 5 pm. I received a call at 12:15 from one of his sons. They were on the way to our home and should be there by 12:45 pm. I rushed home and they arrived at 12:44 pm. John and Brandon Donahue greeted me with "Mr. Jones!" And the rest is history - their work quality is second to none......They completed the job in 3 hours, cleaned up everywhere, reviewed their work, explained how to flush the hot water heater annually, showed me how to light the new equipment and waited 15 minutes after all the work was completed to ensure that all of the new heaters were working properly. On top of all of being placed back into time because of the learnings from their father, their prices were the best by more than several hundred dollars to over a thousand dollars. My advice is to look no further if you need any plumbing services - THEY ARE THE BEST AND SO HONEST. Thank you, Mr. Donahue for letting me relive today some of my past that I loved so much.

Recent update: My hot water suddenly went out and a friend who tried relighting my gas water heater's pilot light informed me that I needed a new valve. That's when I contacted Stanley & Sons Plumbing Company. Despite the holiday season, Marvin was immediately dispatched to my place. He took one look at my nearly 12-year-old water heater and gently hinted that it was time for an upgrade. Marvin was patient and polite as he explained my options. Once I came to terms with the need for a new water heater, he helped me with the financing and got to work. In no time at all, he had installed a new heater and showed me how to shut off the valves in case of a water or gas leak. Marvin, my knight in shining armor! For years, I've relied on their services and this most recent experience was just as excellent as before. I had a clogged toilet and bathtub in my master bath. While diagnosing the issue, Marvin discovered that a major snake would be required and proceeded to replace the outdoor valves, significantly improving the water pressure in my ageing house. He was efficient, thorough, and explained my options clearly. He was also pleasant and easy to work with. I can confidently say that I am 100% satisfied with their service. A few weeks later, I found myself adding more praise to my initial glowing review. Marvin returned with 'The Plumbing King' Roger and they spent an entire day working on a massive overhaul of my plumbing system. They did a fantastic job, replacing some ancient sections of outdoor pipe and installing two low-water-use toilets. Their hard work, thoroughness, and honesty about my options left me in awe. The cost was substantial, but completely worth it. I mean, any homeowner would appreciate the skills and professionalism of this company in such a situation. Marvin came back recently to drain my water heater. His meticulous inspection revealed some old valves and hoses connected to my washing machine. Within a few minutes, he had scheduled a replacement for the coming week. I'm glad I have a maintenance plan with them, it gives me peace of mind. Marvin truly deserved a bonus for his excellent work!

If I could give Derek and his partner Marvin 10 stars, I absolutely would. I first met Derek when he was working for another plumbing company, and what stood out the most was how understanding and kind he was about our plumbing problems. We were really worried about the issues in our home, but Derek was never judgmental—he listened and was always supportive. Now that Derek has started his own plumbing business here in Woodstock, we’re honestly lucky to have him around. Here’s why you should call him for any plumbing or sewer work: - **He cares about his customers.** Derek genuinely wants to help people, and it shows in how he treats you when he’s fixing your pipes or drains. - **He has real experience.** Plumbing runs in Derek’s family, and he’s been doing this work for many years. If he suggests a solution, it’s because he’s seen what works and what doesn’t. - **He’s honest and reliable.** Derek always keeps his word and does the job the right way. - **He listens to your ideas.** If you have a suggestion or a concern, Derek takes it seriously and works with you. - **He’s committed to quality.** Derek makes sure the job is finished properly, even if it means coming back out to make sure everything is working perfectly. - **His prices are fair.** Plumbing repairs can be expensive, but Derek keeps his rates reasonable and much lower than the big companies in town. The most important thing for us is that we’ve found our go-to plumber. Derek helped us last time and again when we needed a main sewer line repair—which can be a big headache. He made sure the work was done for the price he quoted, even when unexpected problems came up. We’re very thankful to Derek and Marvin for their excellent plumbing service. Now we don’t have to worry about plumbing issues in our Woodstock home because we know we can always count on them. It’s such a relief!

After noticing my 50-gallon gas water heater was leaking, I called around Woodstock to get quotes and was honestly shocked by how high some prices were. I ended up meeting with Marvin from Stanley & Sons Plumbing Company. He was upfront, honest, and really knew his plumbing. I’d heard from another company that a tankless water heater might not work for me, but Marvin said otherwise and explained everything in simple terms. Even though I thought a tankless upgrade would be too expensive, the price I was given was actually very fair. The installation wasn’t the easiest, but Marvin and his partner Roger handled every challenge with professionalism and never gave up. When they finished, the new system was installed neatly and worked perfectly. Both Marvin and Roger were down to earth, polite, and truly seemed to care about making sure I was happy with their work. Supporting a local business felt good, and I could tell they really value customer satisfaction. So far, the water heater is still working great. A few months after the install, I did notice a small leak at a condensation pipe connection. I reached out by email and got a fast response. Derek came out right away, was even early for the appointment, and fixed the issue quickly. The work ethic and professionalism really stood out every step of the way. As a retired police officer and veteran, integrity matters a lot to me, and these folks have earned my trust. It’s clear that this company believes in honest work and treating customers right—just like my father taught me is the best way to do business. I highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done in Woodstock.

I feel really fortunate that I called Stanley & Sons Plumbing Company for my shower and tub plumbing issue instead of someone else. Marvin quickly earned me as a loyal customer with his fast response, honest advice, and solid plumbing skills. I had made quite a mess trying to replace the shower and tub trim on my own, and after hearing an inside part crack, I knew it was time to call a professional plumber. Marvin answered my call right away and explained that his schedule was full that day, but he could still stop by within the hour to look at the problem and give me an estimate. He showed up exactly when he said he would. He was polite, professional, easy to talk to, and clearly knew a lot about shower valves, trim kits, and tub plumbing repairs. He took one look at the situation and did not try to overcharge me or take advantage of the fact that I was stuck in the middle of a plumbing repair. He was honest about what needed to be fixed and what could wait. Luckily, he had enough time between jobs to finish the work I had started, get everything working properly again, and make sure the shower and tub were in good shape. He even shared a few helpful plumbing tips so I could better understand the parts and avoid making the same mistake again. I am very thankful for the service, kindness, and integrity he showed. It is not easy to find a plumber who is both skilled and trustworthy, but this experience was excellent from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone in Woodstock who needs dependable plumbing help.

I called after hours and the owner, Arthur Donahue, answered the phone. I had started a plumbing repair and things had gone wrong so I was left with no running water. Arthur's first concern was to help me figure out a way to restore water. He offered numerous practical suggestions as to ways to take care of my problem. At that point, though, I was just too beat and tired to deal with it so told him I could go without water overnight. He scheduled an appointment for 9:45 the next morning. His attitude and helpfulness was so impressive that I decided to go ahead and replace our 20-year-old water heater at the same time. Two workers showed up exactly on time the next morning, got my water back on, and installed the water heater as well as a pressure reducing valve. Replacing the pressure reducing valve also took care of a leaky tub faucet that I thought would be another repair job. All in all I was totally impressed with Arthur's genuine concern for helping me out (rather than just taking my name and number). He spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with me. I have nothing but good to say about Arthur and his company. (His two workers, Matt and Red, were clean, well-spoken, courteous and did their jobs in a professional manner.) I also know that their prices are much more reasonable than others in the area. My son-in-law recently had some plumbing work done by another firm and he paid much more than I did! From here on, North Atlanta Plumbing is my plumber!

After calling Stanley & Sons Plumbing Company to help with a leaking bath knob, I was really happy with the service. The plumber, Roger, arrived right on schedule, got right to work, and charged what I felt were fair prices. I was relieved to finally find a reliable plumber. The next time I needed help, our tankless water heater stopped working suddenly. The team responded quickly and came out to take a look. Roger took the time to troubleshoot the issue, even calling the manufacturer to see if they could sort it out. He gave me a clear quote for the visit, the parts, and the follow-up work. Once the parts arrived, they returned promptly to try again. When those parts didn’t solve the problem, Roger checked the gas pressure and installed a new gas pressure regulator to see if that would fix it. He explained the process and made sure I understood what was happening. Even though the original water heater couldn’t be repaired and we ended up replacing it, I truly appreciated their fast response and willingness to help during a stressful situation. Roger was professional and friendly throughout the process. The team also tried to help by offering different options, including quotes for both tankless and regular water heaters, which I found helpful. Overall, I was impressed with the promptness, clear communication, and professionalism. I would definitely call them again for any future plumbing needs.

Here's your rewritten, plumber-focused customer review tailored for a business in Woodstock, GA, following all the requirements: --- Quick, friendly, and budget-friendly! I had a clogged drain on a Saturday, and Roger was nice enough to answer my call right away. The office team was super helpful and welcoming too. They showed up fast and got everything flowing smoothly again. I don’t plan on calling any other plumbers in Woodstock, and I truly recommend this team to anyone. Recently, I had another plumbing issue and reached out again. They arrived the very next day and worked for hours, even though the problem turned out to be much bigger than expected. Marvin stayed on the job until everything was fixed perfectly. I still say they’re quick, friendly, and affordable, and I really appreciate how dedicated they are. I’ve used their plumbing services for years, and each time the experience has been excellent. When I called about a new problem in my older house, Derek at the office was so reassuring and calm, helping me feel less stressed. He made sure Roger could get to me quickly, which was extra important because we were about to leave for vacation. Roger was, as always, fantastic—speedy, friendly, and easy on the wallet. They’re always a pleasure to work with. Whenever I need plumbing help in Woodstock, this is the only team I’ll call!

I had a major plumbing stoppage in my house and needed someone to figure out the problem. After calling a couple of other plumbers, I was unhappy with their service. One plumber came out after hours, charged me an emergency fee, looked at the issue quickly, and then quoted a very high price just to diagnose it further. Another plumber came the next day, took my payment up front, tried to find the clog, but told me they couldn’t figure it out and would need to dig up my whole front yard for a huge fee just to see what was going on. I felt like I wasn’t getting clear answers and was getting nowhere. Then I called and spoke with a helpful person who listened carefully and made sure my message got to the plumber quickly. Before long, Marvin called me back and explained what steps he would take to diagnose the issue. When he arrived, Marvin was very polite and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything to me as he worked so I always understood what was happening. Marvin found and fixed the problem, and even checked with the master plumber, Roger, to confirm everything was right. This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a plumber. Marvin really showed how a professional plumber should treat customers. I highly recommend their services to anyone who needs real help with plumbing issues. True professionals!

I recently needed help with some sewer line problems at my house and called in a plumber for the job. From the start, Marvin was very professional and really knew his stuff. He took the time to explain the whole process to me, making sure I understood what would happen and answered every question I had. His patience and clear communication put my mind at ease. Marvin and his team arrived right on schedule and worked hard to get the repairs done quickly, without causing much interruption to my daily life. The quality of their work was excellent, and I was impressed by their attention to detail. They used trenchless repair methods, which meant they didn’t have to dig up my entire yard—saving me a lot of time and money on yard repairs. I really liked that they used techniques that were good for the environment and left my property looking great. During the repair, Marvin noticed a few extra plumbing issues and handled them right away, adjusting their plan smoothly. His expertise and adaptability really stood out and made the whole experience even better. Overall, I am very happy with the plumbing service Marvin and his team provided. They did an outstanding job and truly cared about making sure I was satisfied. If anyone in the area needs sewer line repairs or a reliable plumber, I highly recommend giving them a call.
