So today was another job well done from Spot-On Plumbing. This time a new commode was installed. The guys were great and did a good job-clean lines and everything in working order. My wife is very happy. She loves how they put new shoe covers on each time they come into the house. She was concerned we weren't going to be able to keep the appointment because of a snafu on our part, but they were able to move forward and now the new fixture really changes the space. Great company, great people.
I had an awesome experience with Spot-On. I called for a struggling toilet that was clearly backed up and not flushing efficiently. I was lucky that I got same-day service. Amy helped schedule over the phone and Matt was there an hour or two later. He explained what was going on, how he was going to approach it, and resolved the issue quickly with clear communication. He explained pricing along the way so there were no surprises as well. If you need anything done in this space, I'd 100% recommend Spot-On as a family-owned company that gets stuff done in a trustworthy and communicative way.
I’ve been dealing with a low pressure symptom for some time. I was very happy to find out it wasn’t a leak. The house is between 10 and 15 years old. PRV went bad. To be honest, it’s been bad for a while. I called around 330 on a Friday. Matt showed up a little after 4. He was able to quickly diagnose the main issue. Got to work right then and had the job finished in just a few hours. I felt the price was fair. They even have decent financing options. Thank you for doing quality work.
Sad. First plumber said $175 but is booked out. These folks said $1500. Polite and professional though.
They quoted me a ridiculous price for a small repair. Had someone else come out the next day. The issue was simply one loose nut, and the difference in price made the sleazy tactics of this company that much more egregious. Disgusting.
First, you should know that in 2024, to buy a basic 50 gallon tall water tank heater and have it installed starts at a price of about $2,000 and goes up from there. I got about 5 different estimates, and they didn't vary more than a hundred bucks from one another. If you buy your water heater at a big-box store then hire the plumber to install it, the total charge is almost exactly the same. I was shocked at how much they cost today as the last one I purchased was about 10 years ago and it cost about 1,200.00 then with installation. So with that said, there are no "cheap" plumbers around. But if you want great customer service that goes above and beyond average, Spot-On Plumbing was amazing. I decided to buy the heater from them as well so I didn't have to do anything. They will come to your home to give you an estimate, but I didn't think that was necessary so I sent them photos of the heater and told them it was a "tall" gas heater." They show up the next day and turns out it was not a tall gas heater, it was a short one. They also said that the new short gas heater was a lot larger round due to all the extra insulation the government requires now. That meant the short one would NOT fit through the closet door! My mistake for telling them it was a tall heater, but it looked tall to me. Fortunately, I happened to already have a 240 volt electrical outlet there and they had an electric water heater that would fit the space without having to do anything but remove the exhaust going to the roof vent since electric heaters don't have to be vented. So they had to make an extra trip back to Round Rock to exchange the heaters. When they got back they had the new water installed, the gas capped off from the old gas heater, and new supply lines run in a very short time. If you need a water heater, and you need it installed, then you can't beat them for price They came right the next morning and we had hot water again in no time. They also removed the old water heater as well. Just remember that no matter who you call, the opening price right now is pretty much $2,000 - $2,100 for the basic water heater including installation.N
January 09, 2026 Lorenzo from Spot-On-Plumbing arrived at the prescribed time to perform a descaling of my Navien Tankless Water Heater. Did a great job in a timely manner and answered all my questions. Was professional, and respectful of my house. January 27, 2025 Came out to perform a descaling of my Navien Tankless Water Heater. Did a great job in a timely manner and answered all my questions and addressed other concerns I had about some other plumbing questions. Arrived on time. January 6, 2024: Had a residential water main break emergency at a rental property I own. Spot-On (Scott) was able to adjust his schedule to be able to get out to the house that same day and start repairing the break. Also, requested him to replace a several years old water heater at the same time, which he was able to accomplish my request in a timely manner. I also had him replace a leaking water heater at my house last January 2023 with a Navien Tankless Water Heater. He did an excellent job at routing a new larger diameter natural gas line into the attic for the Navien's gas supply and installing the tankless water heater. He also installed and set up a NaviLink Wi-Fi control module, that allows me to control the water heater settings with my phone, so that I do not have to go into the attic to change settings. I would recommend him for your plumbing needs. January 22, 2024: Spot-On Plumbing (Nate) came out and performed a backflush on my Navien tankless water heater today. Did an excellent job and the water heater works great. :-)
Spot-On did a water heater install for me. Nick and Matthew were efficient, explained everything clearly and even took the time to go buy some flexible duct to replace some that wasn’t connected quite right. It’s always so reassuring to work with people who do what needs to be done going above and beyond expectations. You are in good hands with Spot On! Update for additional service: I had to have the cast iron pipes replaced under my foundation. This is a big job and I was pretty nervous about the process and what other problems the Spot-On team might find. Older houses often have unexpected surprises. Spot-On did a great job coordinating the project, ensuring I was informed on what to expect and progress. Nate and his team took care of everything including the few unexpected issues that came up. I’ve already recommended them to friends who need pipes replaced. They do excellent work on any size project. Update for additional service: As usual, Spot-On to the rescue. Alec showed up to address a hot water problem and took care of this issue swiftly. It was a big relief because I had no hot water. Thanks to everyone at Spot-On for always being there with a solution (Scott, Amy, Alec, Nick, Nate and all the Spot-On team).
Spot On Plumbing has been great. Scott took the time to come out and give us an estimate after another plumbing company had given me a half ass’d estimate. We originally had a few breaks due to roots and unfortunately found another in my master bath. With being a new homeowner, I was terrified dealing with this. However, Scott and Amy have made this process much easier than expected. The initial excavation went smoothly, and the team was able to access the area and complete the first repair within a week. However, complications arose when a second break was discovered. During that repair, a line was accidentally hit, which caused water to leak through the walls into my kitchen and master bathroom. Although the water was cleaned up quickly, it was still a very stressful experience. Once the work was completed and everything was backfilled, the billing process became somewhat confusing but Scott did call and walk me through the invoice. The financing option I was informed of as 0% for 12 months turned out not to be as advertised, with higher rates than expected. I would strongly recommend securing financing in advance before starting any work -- other than that, recommend them!
Update 01 2026 - If I could give this amazing family owned business 6 stars, I absolutely would. My tankless water heater died during the ice storm and Amy actually answered the phone on a Sunday ❤️. Lorenzo was able to come out that Tuesday and by Wednesday afternoon I had a new water heater. The absolute unit of a plumbing business in Round Rock. Thank you, Spot-On!! Update 01.07.2025 - Still the only local plumber you ever need in Round Rock. My garbage disposal died over the weekend and Spot-On saved the day and saved me money. Cannot say enough about this place. OMG YASSSSS!!! A legit family owned, local, trustworthy, and affordable plumbing business!! First time homeowner and had a washing machine drain line backup and gave me a small flood. Amy and Scott were great and took the time to listen to me. Their on-site guys Nick and Ryan were professional, polite, friendly, and educated me on what they're plan was and they worked efficiently and with exacting details. These guys even recommend a drywall contractor to boot!! Amazing job and highly recommend!!
This company arrived on time and was able to solve the problem in one visit, which is great as it saved us another service call. Of course they did advise me that the service call fee is taken off the charge of whatever work they perform in our situation, we needed both faucets front and back to be replaced. At least that's what we thought we needed ensure enough we did. Both of them were leaking with the water shortage and all that absolutely don't wanna be wasting water. These guys were great. They assess the situation. Let us know what they thought we needed and then gave us a quote for it and we had them go ahead and perform the work. Could it have been more cost-effective if we had known how to do it ourselves. Who knows and playing around with plumbing often doesn't turn out so well if you don't know what you're doing I highly recommend them. They did a great job and were in and out.
I needed to connect my stock tank pool (cowboy pool) pump up to a natural gas heater and in order to do that I needed to run a new gas line up about 15 feet alongside the house. And connect it into the heater. This seemed simple enough but some other quotes we got seemed to want to do to much, others were saying they would need to drill into the house, remove some drywall or whatever all seemed to be too much for what should've been a simple job. But that turned around when I contacted Spot On. Scott was nice and great to work with, when he came to check out the situation, he seemed like he knew what he was talking and it seemed straightforward plus he gave me a rough estimate right then! Overall it was a good value for the job. the crew that came over was respectful and did great. I'd definitely call Spot On again if I need anything else. Thank you!
During this current winter weather we had a pipe burst. We only discovered it at 4pm on Monday. We started calling plumbers and received a lot of recorded messages. Several could come in two to three days. We were without water and because we had to shut the water off quickly, we had no water saved in the tubs or in pitchers. The phone at Spot-on Plumbing was answered by a real person! She was able to send Scott, a master plumber, within one hour. Scott arrived, fixed our immediate problem and got our water turned back on. Scott was so professional and we really appreciate the fact that he was willing to brave the bad roads and severe cold to come to our rescue. We were dreading going through the night, or longer, without water. Spot-on Plumbing will be our plumber from now on. Thank you Scott!
Called on a Saturday with a complete drain blockage during heavy rain and wind. Lexi was extremely responsive, offered same-day service before end of day immediately and kept me updated throughout the day on eta which eased any concern that I’d be unable to flush toilets, shower, or wash laundry for a full weekend. Nate and his partner arrived on time and professionally cleared the blockage despite the terrible weather. They were done very quickly but didn’t rush, answering questions thoroughly and offering recommendations. Pricing was reasonable & everything was left clean and flowing perfectly. Highly recommend this reliable, communicative team that shows up and delivers, even in a downpour. Don’t hesitate to call them for honest, knowledgeable, professional, pleasant service. Thank you! 5 stars!
Our upstairs bathroom shower leaked and we hired a different company who put temporary bolts to keep the pipes together, left a huge mess and the faucet was still leaking, because we are not plumbers we tried to hold it together with putty and caulk (not a good idea). after a couple of months, we noticed the putty was chipping and there was water coming through whenever we turned to shower head on. we called yesterday around 3 and they came this morning at 10 AM. The lady on the phone was super sweet and helpful. LORENZO was super descriptive and walked us through prices and got the job done before I had to get my son from school AND he cleaned up and even patched as many of the holes that he could. I 100% recommend them, if we have another plumbing emergency we will be calling them. THANK YOU!
