Southern Phoenix Services was incredibly reliable – they showed up on time, performed my water heater replacement quickly and kept me informed throughout. I will definitely choose them again for any plumbing services. Just so efficient, professional and a great value. Best price around town!
Had a different company come out twice to help with my gas logs and was still having issues. Ashton came out today and was extremely kind and charged me a fraction of the cost of the other company. He also was kind enough to stay and make sure that I was able to get the logs going on my own. So thankful and will be recommending this company to others!
Southern Phoenix Services was fantastic – the plumber knew exactly what to do and explained everything clearly. They arrived on time, were friendly, and fixed my leak quickly. I was especially impressed by their knowledge and professionalism. I’d definitely call them for any plumbing services, especially in an emergency.
Coleman (the son) came out twice, once in April and again in May, to fix where the water main came into the house. Well it just busted again and I called out a larger company who says the fittings used were never supposed to be buried and were not installed to code. I'm considering legal action at this point. This is the third time this year that I've had the same section of this pipe bust after being here 14 years.
I wanted to share a horrible experience I had with Southern Phoenix installing a tankless hot water heater and warn others from using them. The installation was not up to code leaving potential life-threatening hazards. Upon installation we immediately had issues with the hot water heater not working properly and had to have the plumber out 3 times to try to fix the installation. We were left with no other alternative than to have a second plumber inspect and fully redo the installation. They immediately pointed out several code violations with the current installation performed by Southern Phoenix. Several of the violations were potential life-threatening hazards where carbon monoxide could have easily traveled into the home. According to the licensed plumber, the following items were not installed correctly: No check valve or expansion tank on cold side. Wasn't supposed to use PEX pipe on the condensation side. The condensation produced by the hot water heater is highly acidic which will erode the PEX pipe. Used the incorrect gas size (pipe was too small) The vent exhaust was installed incorrectly. According to page 41 of the instruction manual for the hot water heater, the exhaust value was supposed to be installed outside the house. The plumber installed our exhaust value into the existing HVAC flume lines which were used by the previous tank hot water heaters that were removed. The tankless hot water heater produces far more condensation than a tank hot water heater, therefore, requiring it to be vented outside. After Southern Phoenix's installation, our flume lines began leaking due to the extra exhaust running through the lines. The excess condensation was running back into the HVAC units which, if left unattended, could have caused significant damage. Similar to the exhaust vent, the clean air vent also needs to run outside the house, however with Southern Phoenix's installation the clean air was inside the house. Southern Phoenix did not unhook the gas installation from the original hot water heaters that was removed. One of the gas lines was left uncapped. Southern Phoenix did not properly cap the exhaust openings from where the old hot water heaters was installed into the flume lines which could have led to carbon monoxide entering the house. Rather than capping correctly to code, they just put foil tape over the opening. Southern Phoenix removed one of the flume lines to the HVAC unit and shoved yellow insulation into the end of the tube - I'm assuming to absorb the extra condensation traveling through the flume lines from the tankless hot water heater. Additionally, they did not reinstall it correctly which could have led to carbon monoxide entering into the home. Rather than resealing the tube to the HAVC system, they taped it using foil tape. Upon hearing all of the life-threatening errors with the installation process, I did not feel safe having Southern Phoenix perform any additional work on my house. I had to immediately hire another licensed plumber to completely properly reinstall the tankless hot water heater on an exterior wall. I tried to contact to Southern Phoenix SEVERAL times to discuss (via phone, email and letter) and they have yet to respond.
This company almost killed my family. They sent an unlicensed person to do the work and he cut an electrical line to my recessed lights, and then stuck the live hot wire up into my ceiling. I called my electrician and they discovered such a big mistake which almost electrocuted him. He advised me to seek an inspector to check the other work that they did. I had a home inspector come over and he told me that he surprised we’re not dead as he also did not vent the water heater properly and carbon monoxide was flowing into my home. I then called the Cherokee County permit office and filed for a permit which they did not do and had the County come out and document all of their work, showing that it was inaccurate and not up to Code and how they almost killed me. For the safety of your family do not use this company. I am editing my review and response to the companies Childish response. To note that I had a licensed electrician make a statement, a certified in licensed home inspector do a full report, and I had the Cherokee County Code Enforcement officer out to my home to inspect all of their work. I have all my basis covered and third-party proof so to say that this is a lie is so elementary and small minded thinking. I covered my bases, I did my homework after all of this happened. And yes, your ex-husband owns a plumbing company which he actually was the registered person during the time that this happened so he could be liable to. And if you want to discuss defamation, why don’t you reread your statement And ensure all of this that you’re stating is true. I did email the attorney to let her know what you’ve said to see if we can include that In my lawsuit against you. There was no one else here working at my house when your Plumber or supposed Plumber was working on our home. In fact, I have record recordings from our DVR system if we need to prove that. So again, be sure that your statements are accurate and true. You continue to hide and lie to people hence why I had to hire a private detective just to serve you papers because you kept hiding and ignoring, hoping that we’re just going to go away, but it has finally caught up to you because if you go and read all of your reviews you’ll see that you just hide from your problems and I’m not the only one that you have almost killed. I’m glad this is a wake up Call for you that maybe you will step up and do better for our community And do things right and protect people from their house, burning down or carbon monoxide poisoning like you did to ours. And again, I have third-party statements and witnesses to all of this.
This is the second time I have used Coleman Plumbing, this time for a water heater replacement. I called several plumbing companies for quotes and Coleman was the most reasonable. John Coleman, the owner, told me upfront what the basic charge would be but said there would be an additional charge if the had to reroute or extend lines. On the day of installation, I was pleasantly surprised to see John show up to do the work. He has a lifetime of experience in plumbing. Within 10 minutes of arriving, he determined what additional work needed to be done and what the price would be. It was very reasonable. The work was done quickly and expertly. Coleman uses Rheem professional grade water heaters. If you read reviews, Rheem gets better ratings than other brands so that was an added bonus. Most of the other companies I called used the other brands. One company wanted to charge me $39.00 just to come out and give a quote. Don't waste your time calling around. Go with Coleman.
The owner had setup a time with my wife for us to come to the office and buy one of there vans. So we drove 3 hours!! To come buy it get there tell her we are there kept in touch and she went ghost on us would only read our text and not answer us at all so I looked the van over it looked good I was ready to buy we text back and said we checked it out we like it and have the cash ready to buy, if you can come so we can pay you and get the title and keys we will buy it. She want answer waited almost 2 hours on her and still nothing so we are now driving 3 hrs home with nothing but a waste of time and gas! I hate I had to come here but people must know. If they can’t answer then how do they answer there plumbing customers I couldn’t imagine doing this to people or my customers because customer service is number 1 priority in a business and answering the phone is what gets you business! I have all proof of this situation.
We hired Coleman Plumbing to install plumbing for one and a half bath in our addition to our home about 2 years ago. We have repeatedly requested for him to come make repairs for at least 18 mos now. We paid Jacob Coleman (I'm sure we overpaid) $5200 bc we expected top of the line plumbing and service and he claims to guarantee his work for 5 years. In our 1/2 bath, the toilet is 5" inches away from the back wall. The toilet in our main bath is not vented and the drain passes our shower. And now our cold water pressure has severely dropped to find that our pipes are clogged with rough sawdust from him cutting unnecessarily into our joists. We have contacted him many times (at least 10) for him occasionally reply and give us a day/time that he will come, but he never shows and doesn't communicate that he's not coming either. $5K half wasted and we don't have anymore money to pay someone else to fix it.
I am extremely impressed with the quality, work, professionalism, and efficiency of Southern Phoenix services. Heather was able to get someone come out for service the same day within a just a few hours. We were so lucky to have an experienced, dedicated and well rounded worker John to fix our loose leaky bathroom faucet. He was extremely polite, professional, and thorough in explaining in great detail everything needed to be done and the approximate cost before proceeding. He even offered free advice and other suggestions for improvements in our bathroom overall. We immediately felt that we were in good hands and would not be taken advantage of. I would highly recommend this Plumbing Co. We will definitely be using their services in the future as needed. Excellent overall service from start to finish.
--------------------------------------------------- John Lusk and Coleman plumbing continue to deliver. Had a hot water circulator go out and needed a timely replacement. How often can you say a service call with a plumbing service was a great experience? As funny as it sounds, this has been my experience with Coleman Plumbing. John is a friendly, professional, and straight forward individual that does what he says he's going to do, at the time he says he's going to do it, at the price discussed. Truly dependable, down to earth folks are hard to find. With John and Coleman plumbing, look no further.
Everyone needs a trustworthy reliable plumber. Southern Phoenix Services are just that. We like that they are a small female owned operation. Julie, the owner, cares about the community she serves. When we had a polybutylene pipe bust, they were the first company I thought of. Ashton came out right away and fixed the issue. He also pointed out that we had poly supply lines elsewhere. Ashton was very considerate and explained the job in layman’s terms. Plus, they warrantied the job for three years. It is nice to have that piece of mind. We would recommend Southern Phoenix Services without hesitation.
We recently moved here from California. We don't know a soul so we couldn't rely on any personal recommendations. After reading numerous reviews I selected this company and WOW!! What an awesome and delightful experience. John came out to our home which is really "off the grid" and even though he got a bit lost, he forged on and found us!! Huge kudos ,for not giving up. Anyway, he was polite, friendly, professional and neat! He explained everything to us, options, etc. fair-priced! If I need a plumber again, this is the company I WILL CALL 5-stars in my book!
Highly recommend! Thought I had a plumbing issue after 5 on a Friday. They were the only company I call that would come out that evening. Casey was the plumber who came and did a great job, including stating if issue continues into next day to call the office and he’ll be back out. Unfortunately I had to call again and he did come, spent 90 minutes to double check everything. Great calming demeanor and also very conscientious about cutting into walls and only doing what’s necessary. Have saved the company number for any future plumbing needs I might have.
I called for one issue and was able to get an appointment for the next day. While the guys were en route to the house, another consultant had us put that project on hold. Nathan and Dustin were able to consult with me about the first project, but immediately pivoted to a more urgent plumbing issue I discovered that morning. My kitchen sink had fallen in and they were able to get it reattached that day with no problem! They did great work and I plan to use them in the future as soon as I get the go ahead to move forward with the first project!
