When a pipe burst in our parking lot over a holiday weekend, it shut down our entire office complex of businesses and restaurants. We were in a true emergency, and every other plumbing company we called was either unavailable or unwilling to help—except South East Total Service. Gino, Robert, and the entire team stepped up when we needed them most. Their communication was excellent from start to finish, and their professionalism was truly above and beyond. Even on a holiday weekend—and working well into the evening—they located the leak quickly and repaired it with minimal disruption and minimal damage to the parking lot. Thanks to their fast, skilled work, we were back up and running in less than 24 hours. I couldn’t recommend South East Total Service more highly. Their dedication, expertise, and superior customer service absolutely saved the day!
AWESOME!!! I have used South East Total Service for years. They have replaced the line to my septic system and put a new top on it and they had to replace a main drain pipe for my house , among other things in between. They work hard and do a great job. They're,also honest and are priced fair. 5 STARS
My water heater had gone bad and I went to Home Depot to get one and they set up everything and scheduled South East (total service) everything plumbing. They sent a young man to my house by the name of Cody. He called me when he was in route. I told him that I was at Home Depot but I should get there a few minutes after him. It was 5 minutes later, but he said not a problem. He arrived at my home at 8:30, and I arrived 5 minutes later. He came introduced himself, looked over the situation and got his game plan together and went to work! He was a very friendly and personable young man. He kept me abreast of what he was doing and he didn’t stop until he completed the job to both his and my satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company and definitely recommend that you ask for Cody‼️I was in the customer service field for 40 years and I retired as a supervisor. He is definitely an employee that I would love to have on my team! And if anyone was going to train my new hires, he would definitely be the one training them. His work is very neat and detailed! See attached picture. I’m a very happy customer and Cody is a great plumber!
They wanted $1300.00 for putting in a 50 gallon Hot water heater!!!! Wanted to do extra on a 100 year old home! Rediculous!!! Another put it in in 1 hour for $400.00 Plumber was telling us what had to be done which was not true!!! The Hot Water Heater cost $600.00. I I’ll NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!!’
My landlord ordered a hot water heater and I was contacted to schedule installation. I was scheduled for a slot of 1-4 p on Thursday 1/8. I receive a call day of as expected to let me know the tech was finishing up his job in Dalton and would be headed to me, reaching me by 3:30. Well , that time came and passed. I waited until 4:30,to call. I was told by the lady he would be here in 30, as he got caught in traffic and had to go get the water heater. Well, 30 minutes passed. I called and the office had closed I was answered by the after hours tech. He was very nice and checked to see if I was on a call list. Nope. He called dispatch and then called me back and said there was a miscommunication and I would get my water heater today. The tech showed up a little after 6. He was very nice and apologetic but it wasn’t his fault. After he gets everything going, he has brought the wrong heater. Has to leave and is gone almost an hour. It is now 9:15 pm, my heater is still in progress and I have not had lunch or dinner cause I am waiting on water. This is unprofessional and inexcusable. I have never experienced such horrible scheduling from any company I have ever dealt with. In addition to my evening plans being rescheduled and eventually cancelled, my dogs have been confined to the bedrooms and have not been able to go out. I will not recommend this company to anyone. I usually do not leave bad reviews but this whole experience just took the cake.
Used South East to replace my water heater a couple years ago due to no hot water. They said the water heater was bad and needed replacing. Charged me $1,350 for the water heater and install. I had gotten a couple cheaper quotes but figured I'd go with a bigger name for security. After install, still no hot water. Called them back out and they fixed a cross in my downstairs shower that was the stem of the lack of hot water. Made me think that the previous water heater may have been fine and just the cross caused the issue, but oh well. It was old enough to justify replacing. Had a drainage issue with my kitchen sink draining and being able to see it near the back of the house. The water was draining under the homes slab and being leeched into the ground. Had a rep, Matthew white, come out to take a look. Checked my sink, and ceiling/walls, and the outside trouble area. Said he wasn't sure what he was looking at and commented about how confusing the plumbing was on the old house. Didn't fill me with confidence, but no big deal. I was working in my office during the visit so didn't pay too much attention to the inspection process. Matthew asked if he could cut a hole in my bathroom wall since it was on the other side of the outside drainage area so he could look at what pipes are damaged. I told him to do what he needed to fix the problem and I'm good with it. He cut two holes in different walls. The first led to my cinderblock wall. The second led to nothing as it was just a separation wall with no plumbing or electrical inside. He ended the inspection with taking pictures of my ceilings and walls and saying he would get a supervisor to give a 2nd opinion. Got charged $150 for the holes being cut and he threw away the squares or something so I can't just repair real quick. Gonna pay someone else to patch their mistake. Supervisor, Gino I believe, came out with Mathew the next day after hours. They spent a good while running water till it came out of the back of the house again and trying to figure out how the plumbing was ran. The supervisor also said he wasn't sure what he was looking at. He advised that I could cap off the current drainage and just reroute the kitchen to the septic on another line. Seemed like a straightforward fix as long as the issue is isolated to that sink and not connected with the septic or anything. I told him to send me a quote and we will go ahead and lock it in. The quote I got was not itemized, so hard to tell what the main cost driver was, but it came in just shy of $14,000. I was pretty blown away by this so I got a couple other quotes before pulling the trigger. The first one, from EZ plumbing was $1,500.... 90%. Cheaper ... Called another plumbing service to quote and they offered to reroute and tie into main septic for $1,600. Called a family friend that is a master plumber to get his feedback. He said it sounded like a $1000-1200 job and their quote must have been a mistake. I was going to let it go and just not use their service going forward. However, I just got the service completed by someone else and it took less than 5 hours for a solo person to do it and I only had to pay $1,600... No idea how their quote got as high as $14k, but I don't think it was a fair price. If you use South East, that's perfectly fine. I have not had a bad service job from them yet. Please get 2nd and 3rd opinions on quotes. They may overcharge because a job seems too complex or they just don't want to do it. You should not be punished with punitive costs due to lack of willingness or expertise tied to a job. That just doesn't strike me as very professional. Refer someone else or turn down the job. 4.1.26: received a call from South East saying their quote was incorrect and had multiplied labor cost by 8x or so. Updated quote came in around $1850 which is much more in line with the other quotes. The issue was a bit of an emergency so I had already gotten it handled by the time I got this updated quote. Had I gotten that $1850 initially, I would have gone with South East for the repair real quick.
In Apr‘17, SE Tot. Service sent Red to pump 4 septic tanks at 4 locations; three belong to me; one was for my neighbor. I have a business and looking for high quality/knowledgeable/dependable people I can trust. It was my first encounter with SE Tot. Serv. Red was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He drove a full industrial sized pumping truck that hold ~3400 gallons; not the minuscule tank on a dually. The bigger tank/truck has better suction and a larger hose; better for the job. At 2512 Sharron Dr, in 10 minutes Red found the lid to a 47 year old tank that has never being pumped, serviced; original installation. He and I dug up the ground, create an opening, installed a removable port (for future easy access) and pump the tank. Upon opening, the content was mud, since it has been unoccupied for 6 months. Once completed, I can see the tank bottom. In May’22, I called Tot. Service asking for Red. I got the run around, was told that Red no longer working there; that Tot Serv no longer pump septic tank; got diverted to another outfit that they told me was reliable. Five days later I went back to Heather and told her what happen; she would called Red, since the outfit she diverted me to… failed me. I did NOT appreciate the run around, being diverted to a 2nd party; who I found unreliable, unprofessional. On 5/25/22, Red arrived at 9447 Thrasher and quickly pumped the septic tank, which he performed 5 years earlier. I found paper towel while roto-rooter with the K-400; the basement toilet has being oozing gallons of water at the wax seal 3 times in the last 3 days; it also had been raining 4” in the last 3 days. Upon opening the septic tank lid, I found lots of paper-product floaties that may have blocked the influence line, as the septic tank level rises. After 5 years, there were only ~1’ of sludge at the bottom. It was the floaties that cause the water to ooze out of the basement toilet wax seal. There was nothing wrong with the basement toilet. Afterward, I explained that I have another house close by at 2331 Pineway Trail with a septic tank that has not being pump for 33 years and I don’t have a problem and I don’t have a port to the tank. We would have to find the tank, create an opening. Red was willing and urged me to act. He quickly found the 8x8 plug into the tank effluence side in 15 minutes. I called it ‘luck’; Red was irate; I hurt his professional pride. He has been doing this for many decades. At the end of the job, Red saved me from a ~$8k leaching line replacement job. I made sure that he understood how I appreciated him. Later, he advised me to remove part of my deck over ¾ of the septic tank so he can pump the influence port to the tank. He advised me, because I listened. I told him I will and the next time he comes, there will be 2 pumps waiting for him. Once Red earns my trust, I gave Red all future business. We talked about 2512 Sharron Dr. and the problem I currently having there and the ~several months/weeks I have to be on the Tot. Service waiting list. He reminded me the lesson I learned at 2331 Pineway. Gave me good solid advices how to tackle a drain line to the septic tank issue while I’m waiting. With luck, I may be able to clear my problem on my own before Tot. Service can address my need. Red is my friend. Henry Lee
We called South East Total Service to clear the drain pipe servicing out kitchen and laundry room, aware that it was buried under the slab foundation of our 1956 rancher. Attempts to open the drain were unsuccessful, and with camera detection, it was determined that the galvanized pipe had deteriorated and failed. Getting the camera to the point of the failure was no easy task, given the length of the house and the underground labyrinth of pipes, but the SETS team was tenacious and would not give up! We feared that the floors of our house would have to be dug up in order to replace the failed pipe, but thanks to the expertise of the SETS team, and the new technology enabling the lining repair of 2" pipes, they were able to line the pipe with a super hard, smooth material (see photo!) with minimal "invasion". And all this with only two 2' x 2' holes in the concrete sub-floor: one under the washing machine and the other under a kitchen cabinet. Both holes were filled with concrete upon completion of the job, so the extensive damage that we'd feared never happened. Our drains are now flowing freely!!! The many SETS plumbers and technicians who worked on our "problem" drain during this process were ALL so knowledgeable, skilled, polite, and respectful of our home. What a team - we're grateful to have found South East Total Service!
I am NOT impressed with this company or the owner jt. I hired them to replace my tub overflow in my upstairs bathroom and when the plumber came to my home he took out the old one and left me without a tub to use. He could have left in the old one until the new one, which I was told on about 4 ocassions was ordered. The owner resfused to return my calls until I threatened to bring in my attorney and complain to the BBB. The only person who took the time to give me updates and listen to my complaints was the guy in the office named Jeff. Once I came into the office to speak with the owner in person he didn't take any responsibility for any of my issues, including ignoring my calls, and blamed everything on the one person who always took the time for me and my wife. I was also told that I would get a discount for all the troubles which included waiting about 4 weeks without a tub while listening to constant excuses. I was never given any discount and the amout I was charged was astromonical. I could have replaced the entire unit for what I was charged. I do not trust this guy or his company and do not recommend them at all. I will never use their services again.
I had a plumbing emergency and my regular plumber was not available. Pete was sent to my house. He took extreme measures that were not necessary, was in his van most of the time, sexually harassed me multiple times, was intoxicated, and charged me for a job that was incomplete. It was horrible. My neighbor was present the entire time, so this is not just my version of the story. I tried to speak to the owner of South East Total Service, J.T. Alier. I wrote him a letter, and then went by the office to speak to him. He was never available to me and he never responded to me in any way. This experience has left me with disgust, PTSD, and distrust in having anyone to render services at my home. What a terrible company. Now, Dave Ramsey is doing a radio advertisement for this company...I would hope he would give a damn about the integrity of the company he advertises for. Ladies, this company does not care how their 'technicians' treat us. Beware!
Never have I received such great plumbing services, nor will I again (because I will never go anywhere else. Ever.) I needed emergency services, and the response time was unbelievably fast. When the problem could not be solved on the spot (due to it being the middle of the night), SETS contacted the appropriate people immediately the next day, and called me first thing to give me a timeline and tell me what to expect next. I was informed about everything that was happening throughout the process, the workers involved were extremely professional, and my (extremely complicated) problem was resolved, though I'm very certain other plumbers would have given up hours earlier (and most likely recommended a very different, very pricy course of action). I am absolutely certain this company saved me time, stress, and money. I could not give a higher recommendation!
Jeremy was our tech. I had an unusual plumbing problem at my house. (meaning I had a clogged drain somewhere ,in my 3 story house meaning someone possibly had dropped a washcloth, as well as black fabric cloth into a toilet).Another plumber came twice to take care of the problem, I paid them each time ,however, the problem continued. meaning I had a lower level sink that clogged again, yes sink clogged,"stuff was coming from a commode somewhere in the house". South East came ,evaluated the situation, then returned with equipment that I wasn't aware existed. They had a computer connected with a wire with a camera and that located the problem and they were able to remove the problem. If anyone reading this has a similar problem they might want to start with an expert team.I plan for South East Total Service to be my go to team.Thank You.
Terrible service Ryan 2-9-2018 gave us an estimate and was to return on 2-26-2018 to do the repairs. Come 2-26-18 @08.50 no Ryan no call. We called the office and were told we were not on the schedule . So we rescheduled to Thurs 3-1 -18. When he got here he found reasons not to replace the studor vents, fix the tub drain , fix the tub spout and leaky tub faucet items that he had quoted us 371.00 to repair . He ended up fixing the faucet leak and charging us 90.00. Today 3-7- 18 we get a quote through email for the work that was supposed to be done on 2-26. We called the office and spoke to the master plumber who answered the phone he blamed it on a computer change. My house is two blocks from their office . We got not one apology nothing . Terrible would not recommend them to any of my employees. I ended up calling someone else..
My pipes burst shortly after the recent Christmas Eve freeze. I did some repairs, but they weren't enough as the breaks had proceeded into difficult-to-access areas in the walls. Tyler from South East was on-site and ready to perform repairs before I could even get a quote from other companies. There were approximately 15 breaks throughout multiple lines, including a compromised pressure valve. During Tyler's repairs, breaks continued to expose themselves. While the situation was frustrating (at least four breaks within walls), Tyler kept his composure and professionalism, and explained everything while working as I was eager to learn. Additionally, South East charged significantly less than multiple companies I received quotes from. I cannot recommend this company enough. 10/10.
New Years Day - we woke up to a running toilet that we could not resolve ourselves. A bit frantic, we began calling around, but every other local plumber service was either closed, unresponsive, or quoted an astronomical, unaffordable price. Pete with South East Total Service answered our call and came to our aid within the hour. He was efficient, polite, knowledgeable, honest, professional yet personable, and very affordable given he came on a holiday! He not only discovered the root of our issue (after years of other plumbers in the past not discovering) and offered us a solution at an affordable rate. We have found our plumber for life. We are so pleased with the service we received and so incredibly grateful. Highly recommend this local company for your plumbing needs.
