I have used Smith Plumbing several times for our businesses. They do a great job and have taken care of the problem fast. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The Smith Plumbing team did a fantastic job finding multiple breaks in our sewer line. They did not try and oversell services or try to have me throw money at the problem to see what would work like a different company. Once they identified the breaks they tunneled under the foundation only where they needed and repaired them. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Honest, reliable, confident, knowledgeable. Nothing beats a family owned company that has had the same plumbers for YEARS. decades. Speaks volumes on the plumbers and the ones running the company.

Smith Plumbing 402 N .W.17thSt.Grand Prairie,Tx my wife and I are on fix income like many others,we have use them before using high end toilet not purchase from them the owner presented a $700. Toilet after telling him it wasn’t in our budget he belittled the brand that was affordable for my wife and I when the tech arrive first word from his mouth he called it a piece of junk!! In my face !! After installing the toilet as it turns out he did a very poor job of installing it, it is unstable move when you sitting on it, when calling the office making them aware the bolts needing to be tighten his remarks were the floor was uneven but the tech never mention it while doing the insulation and to this day no one has been back to make repairs!! I believe it’s due to us not being able to purchase there toilet, while bad mouthing other companies that make toilets ,I will never use them again!!!

My home warranty company dispatched this company to my house for a clogged toilet repair. My mistake pumping the toilet to make it operational while I wait for my appointment. My appointment was initially scheduled for Monday and they came out the Friday prior to the scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, I was not home and had to have a family member come to my house because 1) the technician stated he’s trying to get to my home before it rains and 2) because he didn’t want to come to my home at the time proposed. They were just not flexible from the start. Fast forward....he comes to my home and per the owner flushed the toilet “20” times and nothing was wrong with the toilet that I had just plunged hours before he got there. I get home and called the plumber to see if he can educate or shed some light on the visit since I wasn’t present during his visit. He tells me “you’re just trying to find something wrong with the toilet and there’s nothing wrong.” I called the owner to let him know of my experience and he pretty much didn’t want to hear anything and told me that Terry (the technician) had already informed him of what happened. Based on all the other unpleasant reviews, I would NOT recommend them in your home to service your needs.

All that I can say is absolutely rude. I called to confirm an appointment noting that the issue conveyed on the request with choice warrenty was not correct and wanted to ensure they were prepared to address my concern. The guy that answered the phone this is Mr. Smith. His tone was very condescending from the start. He proceeded To question me about when I received notification. Telling him that I just noticed. Noticed it in my email that I read minutes before contacting him. Note it was right before the service window. He seemed totally unaware of the appointment. I told him. I put in the request with Choice one day prior. He stated that he didn't believe that. I'm not sure where the line of the questioning was leading to but I asked if there was a problem. Further, the tone was a negative and he proceeded to tell me that I had an attitude. I concluded the call stating that I would not need their services. About 2 hours later, I receive a call, apparently from the tech asking if I'd been contacted about services. Seems communication is bad from within because obviously he wasn't informed not to come. I let the guy know of the rude encounter. He however was polite and apologized. Looking at the reviews, there may be a pattern of low regard for women. I dare not spend my money with people who do not value their customers with professionalism in how they communicate. And based on the reviews I've just read, it was a good, intuitive decision.

This is what it looks like after they've finished their work. I didn't expect them to repair the drywall, but they didn't bother vacuuming up the dust they made. Serval spots in the house where they cut through the drywall and left dust. They also sprayed blue liquid to find leaks and didn't wipe the excess off the walls. There are black scuff marks on the walls too. It's annoying that I need to clean up after them. I was originally told $625 to find the gas leak and repair it and was reassured that it would likely not go over $1000. My house had several leaks so it's understandable that I paid more, but after the first day they told me it was going to be $3500, almost 6 times the original price. Had they told me from the get go their hourly rate was $245/hr I could have easily done the math that one day for labor would be $2000 and would have had proper expectations of cost. They did come out promptly and fixed the leak and got us running with gas again in 4 days despite the issues my house had. They seemed knowledgeable and experienced. I just wish there was more transparency in their rates and had cleaned up after themselves. Edit: I found out they didn't file a permit with the city, which was required and expected. They also left all the old plumbing in the attic, which I have to clean up.

I contacted Smith Plumbing to assist me with a problem I was experiencing with an 8-month NEW water heater I purchased from a home improvement store nearby. I eventually got the water heater to work, however, went through this over and over again for the next 8 months, never knowing if I was going to have hot water. I also had to pay another plumber to show me how to band-aid fix the problem. This was a $2,000.00 + original purchase. I received no help from the store where I purchased the water heater or the company overseeing the warranty. Finally, a Smith Supervisor gave me the news I had purchased a "lemon"!!! This kind gentleman contacted the manufacturer; got me a replacement water heater; and I had it installed the very next day!!!!! The plumber/electrician Smith sent over to install the water heater was absolutely fantasti!!! Thank you, Eddie, Chris and Smith Plumbing. I will now be a Smith customer for life, recommending them to all my family and friends.

This was the worst company my warranty company could have ever given me. Not only did they never reach out to me at all prior or the day of the scheduled appointment, but they had the nerve to text me and put the blame on me saying I should have called to confirm an appointment that was scheduled for me, After I reached out to them to see why they never showed up to do the service they were hired for. They didn't show up and continue to argue back-and-forth with me because they dropped the ball on their end. I explained to them to please not reach out to me that I would communicate through my warranty company and the guy had the nerve to call me ghetto and rude. I Googled the company to see what kind of reviews they had and it seemed to be that everybody under choice warranty had the same issues with this company. They were so upset with the unprofessionalism from Smith's. They are not even BBB certified but have tons of complaints on the website. DO NOT USE

We have used Smith Plumbing Company exclusively since we bought our house 40 years ago. We have replaced our kitchen sink, extended outside faucet lines, replaced an outside faucet, replaced a disposal, and kitchen sink faucets. Had a couple of blockage issues along the way, too. It was only natural that I would call them when we decided to upgrade our toilets to cut down on water usage. I have NEVER had anything but excellent service from them. Extremely informative, friendly, prompt. Do a great job. As I was finding the phone number, I happened to run across this site where people wrote reviews. I teased Chris when I called to make an appointment. How come he has bad reviews?? He said several of the reviews were submitted by people who have never used the services of the company!!! Hopefully prospective customers will consider this when deciding on a plumbing company!

Garbage disposal was not working at a rental property of mine, so I asked Smith Plumbing Company at 402 N.W. 17th street in Grand Prairie to determine what was wrong. I advised that the property was a rental property, and I requested for a phone call, text, or email once the issue was identified before any services were performed. Instead, I get an invoice for $325.00 with no description of the garbage disposal that was installed. I called Smith Plumbing Company to inquire why I was not contacted prior to service being performed, and I was talked down to by "Chris". I was advised they would come out and remove the garbage disposal. Horrible customer service. Stay away from these jokers!

My late mother-in- law used Smith Plumbing for many years. My son moved into her house and was having problems with the drain in the kitchen and laundry area. A person from Smith told him he would need to remove the concrete in the garage so they could replace the drain. I did not feel comfortable with this so I got a second opinion from my plumber. He told us Smith had given my son the WRONG information. If my son had dug the hole in the garage we would have had a real mess. I will never use Smith again. Not only did they give incorrect information, but they did not seem to do the work.

Love, Love, Love this plumbing company. When I called on 2/19/21, after the winter storm Gunner answered the phone and advised that they had been closed as well, but asked my issue, my name, address and phone number. He advised that he would call me back by end of business. A few hours later I received that call advising a plumber would be out the next day!! WOW!! On Saturday, the next day the plumber was here to fix the issue. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely use Smith for all my plumbing needs. Thanks Gunner!! Diane

It was great working with Smith Plumbing. They were very responsive when we had an emergency water leak and got someone out there as quickly as possible. Everyone I've talked with at Smith has been considerate, respectful, understanding, & compassionate; while also being professional. I never hesitate to recommend them to friends, family, and even customers of the company I work for. I know whoever I refer to them will be well taken care of. Many thanks to all of you at Smith Plumbing. You're awesome!

My home warranty company sent them starting back in September to fix an exterior faucet. After months of sporadic visits and communication I was left with a faucet sticking several inches out of the siding with insulation wrapped around the pipe. It was still loose and crooked. I was not interested in a repeat visit from a company that would think this was ok so I paid the $75 for another company to replace the faucet and got the perfect solution - with some bracing to really secure it - done in one day.
