We had facets, bib s and main shutoff all replaced. They found the mystery blockage. All done professionally, efficiently and occasional humor. In trying circumstances requiring repeat visits. The price was more than 40% below the high profile, high pressure, fancy truck plumbers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
Great service. Came in a timely manner although it was not an emergency. The estimate was in line with the others we had received but Slaughter was the only company that came out in person to assess our hot water tank. They had sent Jacob and he is one of the reasons we chose Slaughter. Jacob did a great job pleasant and respectful. He also cleaned up after his work. Definitely would recommend this company and definitely would use them again if needed.
Slaughter Plumbing installed a water softener for us last week. We put the system in a resin cabinet outside our home. Connor and his partner did an excellent job to a) discuss options for routing piping and electric, b) install the unit quickly, c) take time to explain the its operation, and d) advise us on other plumbing questions. The price was fair and we're glad Slaughter is local...should anything go awry or we need additional services. Thanks.
The 2 stars are for Al and Brandon, the professional workers who installed this! They advertyised a 10% senior discount on Angie's List and failed to honor it. I was given $20. off my bill of $785. for a 40 gallon tank. Te manager, Paul, failed to call me back after a promise to do so. He left it to his workers to notify me of this fact. They should get a raise!
This company charged $ 272 for less than 30 minutes. Use this company if you lots and lots of money. Labor charge was $ 500 per hour.
Previously used this company for installation of water softener, which went well overall, though it did come out above the estimate range I was originally provided so decided to use again for recent plumbing issue. They came out relatively quickly. Two guys who planned to snake drain. I told them this overflow had been happening with no rhyme or reason a few times over the past few months and that it didnt happen consistently. Months would go by without an issue but this was the worst one so I called them. I let them know no one had ever snaked from the roof, that they always used the toilet. Alas they tried the roof with no success so after 45 minutes or more they moved the toilet and tried that noting that there did not appear to be a blockage. They then mentioned perhaps the plumbing needed a vent so they then moved everything in my vanity and the vanity counter. It seemed as though it provided some difficulty to them. They told me that they did not install a vent and that at the end of the snake they got some resistance at 75 ft. I asked about the vent and they told me they did not do that and assurd me I should be all good and charged me $455. I questioned this and they said it was because it took so long. I was a bit shocked because I never got an estimate or told what my pricing options were and thinking back had they started with toilet as I suggested the time it took would have been reduced by half. I was just glad they said that I shouldn't have anymore issues and had a birthday party planned so I paid. Three and a half days later it happens again. Now this is the soonest it had ever happened before. I called and reported that the issue apparently was not fixed and was told it must have been fixed because it had been a few days. No it was not because as I told the plumbers this had been happening randomly for a while. They told that that could come out and reassess. I asked the cost and let them know I never got an estimate previously and paid nearly 500 for basically no fix. Was told that I would be charged continuous labor as though they had never left. Which is 135 per hour. Now this makes me wonder what i was actually charged for in the first place as they only worked for 2 hours or less. They didnt install the vent. So snaking cost over 200? And why wasnt the vent installed if thats what they thought the issue was? Oh and on top of all this, they left a mess in my bathroom and in the pathway to the bathroom- black grease everywhere and the items they moved around were not put back. My toothbrushes were all over because they didnt secure them or ask me to secure them before messing with the vanity. There is no transparency in pricing, no communication on pricing and options nor fix actually given. Learn from my mistake-- get a quote upfront but know they will likely charge a bit more than the quoted price. Be prepared to clean up the mess left over. I will be going elsewhere next time.
Slaughter Plumbing installed a water heater at a house that I rent. They messed up the install and I did not know that this was the problem. I kept having to drive the 45 minute trip to the house to relight the pilot for my tenants. Then, when I was getting the house inspected for new insurance I was told that the water heater did not have the correct tubing coming off the top to vent water. I replaced that myself. After a little over a 1 year the water heater failed. It had rusted out because the hot air vent on top was never installed correctly and allowed rain water in to rust the bottom of the heater. This was what was causing the pilot light to go out. I called Slaughter to get it replaced on warranty. They told me it would cost $110 with the prorated warranty. I balked a little because I explained that it failed due to their faulty installation. This had no sway with them. It was like I didn't even say it. However, I told them to go ahead for $110. They replaced it and I never heard another word from them. I actually assume that they did the whole job under warranty like I had asked and I thought that was pretty decent. I never got a bill or a phone call from them. Then, about a year later, I got a call from their collections outfit to pay a $300 bill I was delinquent on. I have called Slaughter now 8 times including today and not once did anyone call me back despite promises to do so. Their customer support is nonexistent. Apparently they cannot even install a water heater and then when they do a warranty job they do not bill the purchaser. Instead they then send it to collections at three times the quoted price. Then when I call to just talk with someone about the bill, I am given lip service by the receptionist and no one calls back. I was polite and inquisitive until the last call when I told them in no uncertain terms that I was going to write this review. Sharon simply hung up on me. This is what you can expect from Slaughter Plumbing.
They came and fixed the issue but sadly when they did they caused a new issue to happen. I called and they came back out and were going to charge me $300 more to fix their new made issue that wasn't there before they did a repair ..... Anyways after he stopped telling me it would be a new fee twice what the original was to fix an issue he caused he ended up spending 30 seconds and plunging the sink. The air pressure was never pushed thru and due to our sink design he needed to do that after doing the repair. I mentioned it the day prior but he didn't do anything but listen however didn't plunge it. Anyways as soon as he walks out it's not fixed so I went after him. After a few days he came back out and the above happened where they told me it'd be a $350+ charge to fix etc etc. After discussing how the issue wasn't even there before he came and saying I wouldn't pay that or the first bill if not fixed he took a plunger and fixed the stoppage in literally 30 seconds So anyways. Fixed the leak. Created another issue. Wanted $380 to fix it before arguing then he fixed it in 30 seconds instead. Overall I wasn't even going to leave a review because the issues solved now but why I decided to in the end was the same job was quoted by a competitor for $93 and when they arrived I didn't know they were a new company. So their pricing is almost 2x what the other place quoted me, and we had some issues. So take my review as you will. Thanks!
I have never felt so taken advantage of by a company before. I called this company and asked them if they could send someone out to check a leaky faucet on my tub. They are very close to where I live. I met the plumber at my home and showed him my tub. He said he would try to fix it but most often they have to replace the entire assembly costing $650. Of course he couldn't get the screw out and told me I would have to have my shower wall cut up. The guy was playing his rap music with vulgar lyrics as he assessed my situation on his cell phone. I felt very uncomfortable having him fix anything. I told him I could not do that right now and would have to call him back because I needed to go back to work. He was there less than 15 minutes. Did nothing but make my problem worse and handed me a bill for $101.00 . I was livid. I called their office and asked about the charges and said, "you never told me about any charges for doing nothing." The secretary said, "You didn't ask." I was appalled!! Who says that? I feel robbed! My problem is worse now and I am out $100 for nothing. This company did not inform me of these charges and their plumber was not professional. There are many companies to choose from. Beware of a company that provides this kind of service.
Slaughter recently replaced a water heater, installed a new whole house filter and water softener, cleaned up a mess of copper plumbing in our garage that was taking up a few more square feet than necessary, and they reviewed several other plumbing concerns we had with a house we recently purchased. Slaughter was professional and easy to work with from start to finish. The communication we received from their office aligned with the communications we had with their team on site. Their work orders were clearly itemized and then the billing aligned directly to the itemized work order. Their on site team explained everything to us in ways we could understand and they answered our questions patiently. They gave us honest recommendations on what was worth paying them to address vs things we should not worry about or wait on. Slaughter is a diamond in the rough. We have struggled with the quality and professionalism from home services providers in this area. It was refreshing to work with Slaughter!
So we made an appointment to have a repair done, you know how regular working people take days off for stuff like this. Guy shows up early (30m).. good but I was still getting my kids breakfast, however its not that. The guy looks at my jacuzzi tub and says he's probably going to have to break something to fix it. Of course more money, but not mad about that.. he goes on to tell me that he will have to come back another day.. I made an APPOINTMENT to have this fixed, we explained what we needed and was told it would be done.. mad about this, where's my time that I have an APPOINTMENT for? Then he proceeds to tell me "I cant carry all the faucets and valves in my van".. really??? What about ace, lowes, home depot? He says it's a waste of time to go there.. IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOU. Smart comments and no results.. get your plumbing needs done by someone else.
My boyfriend and I purchased our first house and needed a ton of work done - washing machine relocation, water heater removal and relocation, repiping the main shutoff, a tub and a shower redo, and installing some toilets and faucets. Jacob did our shutoff, water heater, toilets and faucets in a few hours. Zack and Connor did our bathroom tearout one morning and Jamie and Eric were back that afternoon to set the new tub and installing our shower valves so our tile guys could come out the next day. Their price for everything including parts was half of the quote we were given by another mom and pop business and passed inspection with flying colors. I recently had them back out for a stoppage and Zack was able to get us cleared in the blink of an eye and even had time to put in a clean out so that we could more speedily clear any stoppages in the future.
My husband and I both agree, Slaughter Plumbing is exceptional. We had a sewer backup, as TS Debby was upon us...on a Sunday. Got the answering service, Zak called and came to the house within the hour, cleared our line (in the storm). Two days later, backup again. My husband couldn't remember the gentleman's name (sorry), came out and investigated (cleared it) offered the solution of installing a "clean-out". A couple days later Kyle came out and installed the clean-out (in the rain). First, every single representative was professional, knowledgable, efficient, kind and respectful. This is a great team!!! Slaughter is very fairly priced and offered solutions in invoicing before we could have even asked = very fair! Kudos to not only the team but, to a well-run business that really made us stand up and take notice. Refreshing!
I recently purchased a 2nd home in the Redington Beach, FL area. The house needed many plumbing improvements and I was looking for reputable plumbing contractors. I had another company stop by and give me a quote which was outrageous. As I'm in the Property Management business I immediately knew that the other company quote was way off the mark. I contacted Slaughter Plumbing on a recommendation and had a very positive response from them. I had limited time so they placed me on the schedule, showed up on the date and time promised, and did a fantastic job. Their prices were also very fair. Sharon from their office was efficient, attentive and knew her stuff. They also sent a technician who could not be more professional, clean and pleasant. For sure I will continue to use Slaughter Plumbing.
We had a major backup in our main bathroom. Sewage backed up into the shower. I called Slaughter Plumbing and Sharon sent Cody and Zack right out. They ran the snake down the stack and cleared the blockage. The next day Jamie came out and ran the camera through the sewer line up to the the Main bath, which showed how bad the cast iron drain pipes were. Today Slaughter sent Eric over with a power aqua jet to blow out the corrosion in the sewer lines of my house. It's a great feeling to have your pipes cleaned. Now we won't have to worry about any more mess from the backups. I can't say enough great things about the entire team, from Paul on down, at Slaughter Plumbing! They are punctual, professional, and excellent at all they do. Quality workmanship and performance at a fair price.
