Friendly, Fair price and prompt service. Actually arrived a few minutes prior to scheduled appointment. No surprises and price was exactly what they quoted. They did more then just a toilet repair. I will recommend them to friends and family. I'm mobility impaired and really appreciate their services.

I called Shields Plumbing to replace the anode rod from my water heater. Eduardo is courteous and professional. No sales talk. He did his job cleanly make sure everything is working before he left. I called several plumbing companies in the area to do the same. They want to charge me $450 to replace something that I could do. Since all I'm after is just the warranty Shields Plumbing gave me the most reasonable price of $250. I highly recommend Shields Plumbing, Eduardo and supervisor Blaine and would call them again for my next project.

I dealt with both Blaine and Eduardo at Shields Plumbing regarding a water heater installation. They were both communicative, responsive and easily accessible. We're in the middle of the permitting process but both gentlemen are a pleasure do deal with and I am so pleased to give them business, as they are a smaller, local company that offers good service at a reasonable price. Blaine knew I had no hot water and he squeezed me in the following day. A real gentleman and a good soul. Highly recommend!

Could not even fix a leaky faucet but instead quoted me a price of $1,300 to replace a lot of stuff that had nothing wrong with it. Paid him $200 to make a big leak, a little bit slower. After research and speaking with the staff at Brothers Plumbing store, I fixed the leak myself for $30 dollars. That's it, $30 dollars in parts and I, no plumbing experience, fixed what Shields Plumbing could not.

I called a million places, got some outrageous quotes. Also mostly got people that said they couldn’t quote over the phone. Yet when they came out they spent 5 seconds looking at the job. Most wouldn’t come out unless we paid them to. When I called Shields they asked a lot about the job, were able to give an estimate over the phone so I could judge. My first thought was It was too good to be true. I ended up calling and asking them to come out, but sent them a couple pictures and got another quote that increased (very slightly) only because our fixtures were Brushed Nickel. The gentleman was schedule for 3 hours, was here for probably a total of 5 and also replaced an extra piece of pipe that was rotting (He showed it to us and it really was rotting). While I bit my fingernails waiting for the new invoice and how much more expensive it would be, got it back and it was no extra charge. Same price that was quoted. Overall, Shields was amazing. We will continue using them and will recommend them to everyone. Our valve replacement was successful and we finally have heat and cold control of our shower. We also don’t have to worry about our pipe rusting out. While they have a business in a very populated area, they are more like the small town people that aren’t trying to screw everyone over.

I am so glad I found this company! I would and will use them every time going forward for any plumbing needs I have. The workmanship, professionalism, and expertise is out right 10/10 in all categories. From the free estimate (which they were at my door within an hour of calling them) to the completion of the project was very smooth. Blaine & his crew are such hard workers and show they care about the project. My project was not an easy one. Trenching in hard soil in 100+ Degree weather is tough but these guys absolutely showed their grit and integrity and put there heads down and got the job done in an incredible time. The price I paid for this project seemed very wrong for what service I received. They went above and beyond for me, assuring everything was just as it was before or even better by sweeping and spraying off the concrete remanence after having to tear up the ground and move yards and yards of dirt. After the project was completed, Blaine had made sure I was happy with the project by walking me through it, to make sure they leave with a happy customer. Long review but it's well deserved. Thank you so much Shields for the outstanding work you do!

I've used shields plumbing now for 3 different jobs. I don't even bother with other places, for the first two jobs I found them to be competitive and fair on pricing, so when the third job came around I just called them up and went with it. First job was installing two toilets. After I bought my house the original toilets were old and basically not worth fixing. The job went well, their plumber didn't seal them to the floor, I called the owner about it and he was here ASAP no questions asked and made sure everything was perfect. The next job was capping a gas line. I replaced my gas stove with an induction stove, they came and cut the gas line and capped it inside the wall and left it looking perfect. Recent job was fixing a leaky bath faucet. It was an old price pfister faucet and they had to order in the part. Each time communication has been great, follow through with everything I could expect as a customer. I've appreciated all 3 services I've received from shields and they'll be my first call whenever anything comes up.

I recommend Shields Plumbing for their thoroughness, honesty and fair prices. I am a big preventative type person. I called to have a diagnosis on a progressively lowering toilet bowl water over the last year. They scheduled me for the following morning and performed a thorough investigation, as I requested, by augering and snaking the toilet, clean out and roof vent. Although a cause was not found, Blaine, the owner, reassured me that the water level was in fact okay and that, contrary to a previous diagnosis, there was no need to replace the toilet. I had them snake the shower drain and check the garbage disposal. They reassured me that, despite what I considered less than optimal performance, no problems were found. The bottom line is that I was ripe for being ripped off but they did not take advantage of that. The diagnosis fee is deducted from the repair price and there is a senior discount. I would definitely use them again.

My girlfriend notice a Shields Plumbing van at a store and she new I had a really slow toilet drain so she asked for a business card from Eduardo. I was starting to look for a plumber but I was really concerned they would be really expensive and I am always worried they would make it worse than it seemed. The other big corporate plumbers were advertising good deals on slow drains but I knew that was probably just a teaser. So I wanted to call Eduardo and Shields. We worked together on the time and Eduardo was very prompt. He also called me as a courtesy as to when arriving. He was very polite and covered his shoes. He went over what might be the situation and offered a reasonable price to fixed it. He kept in good communication. He also was very polite and mentioned that he needed to finish by cleaning the area. Job well done! Professional and friendly service. I would call again and ask for Eduardo for future plumbing needs.

Blaine helped us out of a jam. We were just wrapping up our project for the day when a pipe burst. We couldn't leave our customer high and dry so we started calling around. His competition told us that they would be at least a few days out, which wouldn't do. When I got a hold of Blaine, he had just taken off his shoes and wrapped up for the day, when I told him that our customers were elderly and that they wouldn't have water over the weekend otherwise, he came out as soon as he could. I had a chance to talk with him while he repaired the pipe for us and he was a genuinely nice guy that seems to be doing the best he can to lift up the people that he works with and for. I can't recommend him enough, this is the company that you want to handle your plumbing needs.

Blaine and his team are the most knowledgable, reasonable, personable and efficient plumbers I have ever found in the Sacramento area. They replaced valves on my toilets and installed water hammer arresters that other plumbers had neglected to suggest. While they were here, they found that the new water heater (that my home warranty plumbers had just installed two days ago) did not have the expansion tank correctly calibrated to the incoming pressure in my house. It was set at 37 psi and should’ve been at 60 and that could’ve caused future problems with equalizing water pressure and causing water hammer issues. No more home warranty plumbers for me! These guys do more than spot repairs. They honestly evaluate the plumbing needs in your home. I highly recommend them!

Eduardo was fantastic, super professional, incredibly kind, and honestly just a pleasure to work with. He explained everything step by step, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt totally comfortable with the repair. The work was done quickly, perfectly, and with great attention to detail. I’m so grateful to Shield’s Plumbing! I called them at 5pm on a weekday because of a sewage issue at my mom’s house. The owner (Blaine) sent Eduardo to her house at 8am the next morning and he arrived right on time. He fixed the issue and cleaned the tub for a very reasonable price, considering it was a horrible stinky mess. Eduardo did such a good job that we called Shield’s again to replace the faucet in 2 bathrooms. I really appreciated how Eduardo explained everything to me and gave me choices on faucet design and color (I could have picked out my own but I just wanted the least pricey thing that matched). I’m so happy to have found a reliable and honest plumbing service.

I highly recommend this plumbing outfit because of their experience, leadership and all around great service they provide. Blaine is awesome, a real get ir done kind of guy. During a job they did for me, he even offered to make quick work of a plant situation that would have taken me hours, possibly days by hand and shovel. Removing a couple root balls and even relocating plants that weren't even in the way of the plumbing job. Took him 10 min to do the major work with his mini back hoe and I am forever grateful of the time and grunt he saved for me. They are very honest, genuine and approachable workers that stand behind their work!!

My husband and I had an emergent need for plumbing services. After calling four other companies, I called Shields and spoke with Blaine and was immediately comforted that we would be able to get our situation resolved and water restored to our home. Blaine did exactly what he said he would do in the time he committed. He and his crew were thorough and professional. So rarely do we find companies and suppliers who provide the quality customer service we experienced from Shields.
