Mike was awesome!! Got here super quick, and took the time to replace the parts that had gone out, fix our ignitor, and explain everything to us. He was super friendly and left his card as well to his direct line to be able to contact him if we ever have issues in the future. We will absolutely be using him again!! I would highly recommend reaching out to him if you ever have issues with anything HVAC!
We had an amazing experience with SameDay. Once we locked in the scope of work and an estimate, their team with Adam, Landan, Hugo, and Chris were at our place the next day to replace the water heater and A/C unit. The team was incredibly professional, very communicative, and did everything they could for the best outcomes possible during installion of the new units, to include relocating the A/C unit and new piping and exhausts. They also replaced the garden hose spickets and fixed two of our toilets. They did a fantastic job and we are very satisfied with them and their work.
Tristen and Adam did a great job as a team. Ben and Josue were part of his crew and did an amazing job at resetting a big piece of concrete that they had to remove to access the water main pipes. Adam was incredibly professional and friendly, transparent and went above and beyond by also fixing a small leak on the toilet. And Adam even sprayed the flooring to clean up any residual dirt from the crawl space. I recommend!
Mike from Same Day Heating & Air-Plumbing-Electrical came out yesterday 12/28/23 to look at our furnace. He told my wife that it needed a new fuel valve. Parts and labor $2680.00. He told my wife we should consider replacing the furnce because it was 13 years old. I had another company come out today. It needed a new flame sensor. Dan replaced it. Total parts and labor $110.00. He said that if it was the fuel valve the cost would be somewhere between $350-500.00 . Stay away from Same Day Heating & Air.
A few years ago we got a good deal on a new furnace and air conditioning system, super high efficiency, installed, everything. Our old furnace was super old and getting finicky and parts were getting scarce. All of it from Sameday Heating. It has worked great. So today I called Sameday Heating about a whole house humidifier, I talked with a very nice lady about getting one and having it installed. She quoted me on 2 different models. The most expensive one purchased and installed was going to be for $2372.00 and the cheaper model, purchased and installed was going to be for $1565.00. So I looked and found the exact models I was quoted on and the more expensive model was $657.00 and the cheaper model was $123.89. Free shipping and no sales tax. I'm pretty handy so I'll just do it myself. In my opinion this is way, way, too much for this! My opinion!
I wish I could give Tyler Rasband 50 on a scale from 1 to 5 (5 being extra excellent, OF course)! STORY TIME!! My story didn't begin a few days ago--as it turns out, it started in April, when Same Day Heating & Air & their plumber Michael Fonesca had provided excellent service for some plumbing issues I had and a new water softener. Tuesday night when my 18 year old AC stopped working was a 2nd chapter to my story that began in April. And chapter 1 definitely determined who I was going to call first. Chapter 2 starts out when I found out that it's no fun to wake-up at 12:30am, super hot, and realizing I'm not sleepwalking--I'm wide awake and seeing the number 86 on my thermostat. Admittedly, I wasn't THAT surprised. I knew my AC had been running & pushing it's little Lenox heart-out for going on 4 of it's 18 year lifespan. But still, that didn't do much to lessen my dread that I had a problem that needed to be fixed without delay & NOW--and worse, this problem is probably the most expensive "fix" any homeowner is faced with. Fortunately April provided me the wisdom and a starting place: to for SURE call Same Day for an estimate. And just like in April, they were the first to call me back at 8am--and had scheduled and dispatched Skilar to my home to do the diagnostic. Within 20 minutes, Skilar was knocking on my front door and didn't disappoint: he was super transparent and highly skilled. He also took the time to answer some of my questions; it was literally a comfort that he gave similar facts to A LOT of what I had read repeatedly in my research; (research that rolled-out all night--right after my middle-of-the-night "wakeup call"). It was a hot September night, and procrastination was not an option--12:30am or not it was HIGH TIME for the 1st step in this process: a crash course on HVAC systems, brands and the best local businesses to call. So after 4 hours of reading articles and TONS of reviews, I arrived to the 2nd Step: the estimates and comparison of 3 companies and their offers. And this is where Tyler Rasband enters the picture! "From Hello", Tyler literally started setting the precedent for "How to sell an AC -- and/or WHOLE HVAC system to a super "worried-but-not-to-shy-to-ask-a-billion-questions" brand of customer (no joke!). Throughout the entire experience, Tyler's approach was void of high pressure and proved to only diffuse the stress I was feeling. Not ONCE was he ansty to hurry through any of the steps, and answer all the questions I had in mind before the appointment and during. The entire time, he had a sincere intent to make sure I understood the workings of my circa 2007 system, to the important key points and fundamentals of what was available in 2025. I soon realized I was in for a BIG jump (like the difference of going from my 2011 iPad --straight into the newest generation of iPads this year). Tyler showed me a lot options because I asked for them--and not only the brands I was most interested in (via my research)--but he also made sure I was aware of what would work most efficiently for my home. We weighed in on a LOT of options, and Tyler never ONCE tried to "up-sale" or make me feel like a walking dollar sign--he was truly there to earn my business in a manner that was all about the long term. He was as genuine as they come, and listened and responded to all my questions, concerns, and the my baseline objectives, wants, & needs. I already knew that solving my not-so-surprising AC problem realistically meant I was looking at prices anywhere between $7,000 to $20,000, which meant financing the system--rather than cleaning out my savings or refinancing my home. By the end, Tyler gave me the information and options that resulted in my feeling confidant I had made an educated decision that achieved all of my objectives. Having a legit level of peace-of-mind, literally turned an experience I'd been dreading since I bought my home--into one I was actually excited about. I ended up getting a Daikin AC & furnace (to put an end to the saga of living in the suspense of "I wonder if today my furnace will call it quits?!). All the research had me looking hard at a Goodman, but then learning Goodman & Daikin are made in the same factory, I ended up choosing the Daikin because of the extra 2 years of warranty. When it was time for paperwork Tyler gave as many discounts as he could swing, (customer loyalty, friends & family--not to mention--ON TOP of this year's large tax refund and the Enbridge Power rebate (those 2 alone come to $2K). In the end, I've come away being able to say "I've got an HAVC guy". It's PRICELESS when you find a car salesman, a car service & repair, an HVAC guy, and a plumber that you can trust without question. I plan to name-drop "Tyler Rasband", whenever my friends & family are in the middle of the action-packed 24 hours--after their "wake-up call" they REALLY ARE staring at the number 86 on their thermostat--annnnd nope!--it isn't because it needs new batteries! :o)
I needed a furnace repair. Not sure who to call. I remembered the TV ads for SameDay Heating and decided to give them a try. I had a technician come named Eric Kent. Wow, this guy knows his stuff. In a matter of minutes, he had located the problem. More importantly, with his thorough inspection he found a crack in the heat exchanger. As you probably know, this permits exhaust gas to leak into the surrounding living space. With Eric's thorough diagnostics, he probably saved lives in my home. So, Eric is not only a top-notch technician...he is also a life saver! As he worked, I had borage of questions. Eric was very patient and answered each one to my understanding. He also provided me additional information to help me completely understand our subject matter. Eric spent time with me after his diagnostics to help me with the new issue -- replacing this no longer usable furnace. Eric arranged for a Comfort Consultant to come to my home to evaluate the best options for a replacement system. He also stayed for a while after the consultant arrived to share details with him about the topic. I couldn't have been more satisfied! Eric seemed like a trusted friend. I signed up with Eric for SameDay's service plan and might get to see him again in the future with service visits. If Eric is any reflection on SameDay, then that must be one company that stands miles about the compaction. Thankyou Eric. Oh, I didn't have carbon monoxide detection in my home. I do now thanks to Eric. Benjamin Sprehn was the Comfort Consultant that helped me. He did all the calculations to determine the proper capacity system for my needs. It was a pleasure to spent time with Ben. He answered all my questions and provided me with a large list of options explaining each in great detail. There were items that he discribed that I hadn't considered - Items I didn't know about - and items that I didn't understand until Ben spent the time to share the missing points. I was impressed right from the start at how quickly Ben arrived at my house. I was delighted at how Ben treated me and didn't try to push stuff on me that I didn't want. By the end of out visit was able to select a unit that I know I will be pleased with for many years to come. Yes, I did purchase a new, replacement furnace and air conditioner. A mid-range unit that I am very pleased with. If you are looking for a new system, you want to check out SameDay. You also want to ask for Benjamin Sprehn. I'm sure all their company Confort Consultant's (sales force) are great but I can personally vouch for Ben. Thank you. Ok...installation of my new unit occurred the very next day after purchase. Alberto Carrillo and Josh Olsen were the two installers that showed up on my door step first thing in the morning and worked until the job was complete - almost the entire day. They, like Eric and Ben were bombarded all day long with my questions and comments and they were very patient and answered each one to my understanding and satisfaction. I watched them most of the day and was very pleased with the high quality of craftsmanship they displayed. Each task in the installation was done with precise accuracy and care. The quality of their work showed them to be true perfectionists. I enjoyed having them in my home for the day. I couldn't have been happier with the final outcome. Alberto also did some major ductwork modifications to my system to improve the overall performance. Alberto and Josh were very careful to keep the areas clean. They are a credit to their company. If all installers there are as good as these two then SameDay has a super top notch staff. Thanks Alberto and Josh for a job well done. Nothing was left undone. One final comment...I don't remember her name...The lady that answered my phone call and arranged to send out the technician was very friendly and courteous. Thank you for getting me the help at a stressful time. Yet another example of a top notch business. SameDay Heating & Air. My new service team.
When I purchased my home I realized I would probably need to replace the furnace within a few years. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how expensive a new furnace and central air unit would cost me. Rookie mistake I'm sure. Being a bit of a wheeler and dealer, I couldn't accept paying the markup that I was seeing in the HVAC world. (seriously, its ridonkulous.) I am very much a do it yourself'er in order to save money, learn cool new skills, and be self sufficient! Our first year of owning our home had 5 different companies come out and give bids. We have a smaller home that didn't require much but the bids started at 10K and went way up from there. This all for a new furnace, AC unit, and a little bit of duct work for an 1800 sq. foot house. With that, I decided to wait it out. Of course, the next year our furnace began to make funny noises and then gave out. We first called Clover Heating & Air as they had a promotion on the radio but also included Same Day in our search for reasonable bids as we had a positive interaction with Larry the previous year. Clover offered what seemed like an amazing deal which in fact, was amazing only before they told you the rest. Final price with "free" AC unit? About 10k. SameDay became a big winner to us. We were able to negotiate a new system for $6999 for everything which allowed us to also take advantage of the $1500 tax credit and a few other credits from UT companies. Larry offered us better equipment and was passionate about making it work for us. He also was generous in offering services. Other companies that had come out were wanting to charge a much higher price to add some ductwork and two new vents. Larry was very capable and seasoned which allowed him to give us advice on the best design for us. He even told us we could rip out one line of ductwork in our basement rather than replacing it, which would save us bothy money and ceiling height. The ductwork was thrown in. Unheard of! We were able to get an Amana system, 95% efficient furnace, and 16 seer AC for an amazing deal with amazing service. Installation went well and a year later we have received multiple letters from Larry checking on us and making sure everything is working. He is GENUINE and honest. Very hard to find in the HVAC sales world where it is common to be a bit slimy. Bottom Line? SameDay has provided excellent service for our home. We have a great system which is quiet and saves us half off our old bills. The real star here is Larry. Ask for him and you'll be golden.
DO NOT USE Same Day Heating and Air!!!! Watch out for the "Big Green Van"! Sneaky charges, literally 500% mark up on parts, and a laundry list of things "we should replace" on a 3 year old house. It's apparent that they stand behind taking advantage of people. Do your homework and call to get price quotes on the parts - if we hadn't or if we didn't speak with another company that same day, we would be blind to it all. My experience was specifically with a furnace, and if you don't know much about them then expect to be completely taken advantage of. We had an ignitor go out on our furnace, so after a freezing night Same Day came out and diagnosed for us. He did a house evaluation and determined the problem. So he quotes a price for the part and replaces it. I ask for the part to be left behind so I can see what the problem is... There is nothing to this $340 ignitor. So I call the supplier and they would sell me the part for $70, just some guy off the street, I highly doubt they charge that much to Same Day.... So do the math. What started as a $79 dollar fee to come out, turned out to be a $547 repair for a $70 part. I called to speak with management and after more than 2 months I am done dealing with them. I have resolved to the fact that this is just how they do business. They are okay with and stand behind taking advantage of people. His justifications for the cost was how much time the tech spent at the house 'inspecting' and traveling to the parts store. Weird how you hid all those costs in the part and failed to notify us that we were paying for hours of "inspection"... Hmmm sketchy. It's been 1 month since I spoke with them and cancelled the 'Service Plan' which took 6 weeks from the date of my first complaint, they said it would take a week to be reimbursed for and 1 month later, still no reimbursement. Lastly, I failed to cancel with another company by mistake and they showed up, we explained the issue and they quoted us at $190 for everything (Parts, Labor and Service fee)! Do yourself a favor and call around, but skip Same Day.
See update below the posting if my experience Today is Wednesday... Last Saturday I schedule a comfort specialist to come to my home... Come anytime. He can access the air conditioner situation... We knew we needed a new system... Gave me a quote on two different brands... Day and night was one brand... LENNOX was the second brain. He Gave me a sheet of paper with the seer rating And the prices. I contacted the Comfprt specialist the next day Sunday... And asked him to give me the model numbers of Lennox Systems. He responded to my email but He did not give me the model numbers. I wrote him back and asked for the model numbers again. Again he would not give me the model numbers. We are a family of attorneys... And we are educated people we don't make any decisions without looking carefully and our options. Especially when you're spending anywhere from $6000-$12,000. Even if we weren't the educated family that we are... I would expect that the company would give the customer as much information as possible so they can make a good decision. Today is Wednesday I have not Heard anything from same day since Sunday. This is very unprofessional. I am assuming that they look at these reviews on a regular basis. So I'm telling everyone my experience so you can be aware... You have a right to know what you're spending your money on. I should not find out the model number after the equipment has been installed. I should be able to take the model number and Research so I feel comfortable that I'm making a good purchase with the amount of money that is appropriate. Update: today Thursday 4 days after my request for the model number the rep called me. I am assuming they read my initial posting. He Immediately began to tell me that he did not have the info I requested, at that time. BS!!! I have gone with another local company which I will review separately. A totally different experience.
I'm very disappointed in the troubleshooting you did on my system. I had another company provide an evaluation and noted that the transformer your tech installed had shorted out due to exposed wiring not being secured. Turns out your tech's "assessment" of the problem was the wiring from the thermostat needed to be replaced, and of course provided a quote for $460. Well she was completely wrong (as a result I wasted hours of my time running new wiring). Because this other company actually took the time to identify the root of the problem, it turns out there's a short on a/c side of the motherboard. Furthermore, your tech's assessment that a/c unit outside is loud and older and in need of replacing is ridiculous. I'm sure you have sales targets to hit and referrals from HVAC companies to push their products, and if I actually needed new equipment, I'd understand. When I can bring in a second opinion and they take a couple hours to really trace and test all the CHEAPER parts first to determine the problem and they don't keep pushing a line of BS to get me to buy stuff I don't need, I really struggle coming up with anything positive to say about your company. I had to replace the transformer your tech installed along with the shitty wiring job so my house didn't burn down, replaces a relay in the a/c unit itself, and test and evaluate everything, all for under $200. Your company billed me for $420 and I came home to a broken system, faulty wiring, and the realization that I was significantly taken advantage of. I will NEVER recommend your company to anyone. The only thing redeeming about the situation was your tech was pleasant when she was here. Consider this a formal request for a refund. If anyone needs HVAC services shop around and take personal referrals over these part swapping companies. It will save you hundreds or thousands of dollars.
Overall after the first visit I was pretty satisfied with Same Day. However the next appointment and from then on they became very very pushy and pressured to sell a new unit. They basically said my unit would die in a matter of days. The techs were very nice but it was clear their only mission was to sell a new system. I have a 10-year-old Ducane system while it's not top-of-the-line I do have it maintain twice a year and it runs great. At each tune-up the technicians were telling me parts had failed that I had just replaced. When I hired Same Day I was very clear when I told them I did not want to company that focused on selling me a unit. I'm not interested in businesses that want to sell me, I'm looking for a company who cares for the customer. Finally I had two appointments that were rescheduled by Same Day without them calling to confirm or at least even acknowledging that they had change my appointments. For someone who works out of town, trying to coordinate appointments is very important. I had an appointment scheduled for first thing in the morning and after 10:30 am I realize they were not coming. When I called the company and asked what was the matter they informed me that my appointment was actually at 2:30 and when I confronted them about the change I received excuses. The tech finally arrived at 5:45 pm and didn't leave till 7:00 pm. He managed to still try to sell a new system, despite my insistence on the Readers Digest version of his story. In response to the company - the tech was not running late to my appointment. My appointment time was moved to a different date and time twice without my knowledge. I understand the techs can and often do encounter delays as they progress through their day. My issue was not due to a delay. Again receiving excuses. Thanks.
CROOKS!!!! My garage heater wasn't working, and I called them out for that in December. I also had an issue with some strange sound after flushing the toilet in the master, so I had them look at that, too. I flushed the toilet for the "plumber," and he said he didn't hear the sound but that he knew what I was talking about and that the main shutoff valve for the home needed to be replaced. That sounded highly suspicious to me, so I opted not to do the $650+ repair. Then, the "HVAC service" guy said the reason my garage heater wasn't working was that it wasn't getting power and that he needed to call out an electrician to install a new line from my box to the heater. He said it would be around $200 to replace it, so I said OK. Once the "electrician" finally arrived, he said he would have to run a conduit (cheaper) or go through the wall (more expensive). I asked how much for the conduit, and he said $647. Now, I was not only suspicious but pissed off because I knew they were trying to take advantage of me. I told them to leave and that I wasn't using them again. I then called the company multiple times to complain, and my calls were never returned. I then called a master electrician, and he traced the power to the garage heater and found it was on a light switch in the garage (we recently purchased the home and didn't know), and guess what?! The heater worked perfectly when I flipped the switch on. Then, I had a plumber come, and the toilet was fixed with a simple lever replacement. Absolutely DO NOT USE this company because (A.) they will not fix your problem, (B.) they will rip you off, and (C.) management knows this and will not acknowledge your complaints.
Was a very difficult experience with this company. 1) Thursday 9-18-25, I looked up electricians online to find someone to do a simple Nest camera install for my 91yr old mother on Friday (next day) at 10 or 1030am, when my sister could be there to meet them. A very pleasant person answered the call "Michelle" but I could tell that she was at a call center, so asked if it was possible to speak to an electrician directly, (to make sure they had experience with installing those type of cameras), and she said no, but she was confident she could help me, and that their people (whomever they sent) could do the job. I was doubtful and suggested I call another company, but she convinced me she could make it happen, so I agreed and we set the appointment. 2) Later I received a call from "Dispatch" department and was asked if we could receive the technician between 8:30 and 9:30, and I explained that my sister had a meeting earlier and would not be available until 10-or 10:30. They asked if we could keep the window of time open until later that afternoon, and I explained that only until noon, that is why I originally wanted to speak directly with a technician. She said ok. 3) At 9:35 (25 min before they were to arrive) I received a call from Pamela at "Dispatch" saying they could not make the appoint ment, and said "because we were not the type of customer they wanted to work with"!!! WHAT, they are the flakes, and we were jus Ghosted! I should have looked at their reviews by others first... now as I read other reviews, I can see they are a Gypsy organization, now we need to find a real company that can do a simple install.
Update Jun 14. Yet another great experience. Piper arrived for my AC annual tune up and took me through what she would be doing and what to expect. I was looking forward to meeting Piper. She had helped me via phone one evening a few months earlier. She was very thorough and took me through the tune up, findings and explained recommendations to make my AC run even more efficiently. I remain a huge fan of SameDay. Thanks Piper! Update on Jan. 24 - still can't say enough! My technician was Mike Miller this time. He was here on time and diagnosed the issue with my thermostat. He explained and fixed everything. He even stayed until I was all set back up on the iComfort sync so I could access the thermostat via my iPhone. Another great experience with SameDay! I bought a new HVAC system last year and it was time for my first annual maintenance. Mike Fajardo was my electrician. He went over everything clearly, suggested I get a new filter. No suprise there, I own two yellow labs! He also noticed that the bulb had gone out on my air purifier and needed to be replaced. He personally made sure it was ordered and installed the next day. Fast forward a week later, my furnace was making a loud banging sound. Mike came back out in less than 24 hours and diagnosed that something had gotten into the furnace and thankfully it was a bunch of twigs from a tree and not a critter. He cleared it out and everything is great. I highly recommend getting the premier service package as you get priority service appointments.
