Saffer was wonderful to work with. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and explained everything to me. The team was wonderful. Will definitely use them again.
Knows his stuff. Prompt, courteous, efficient. Understands our concern in maintaining the integrity of our 50's vintage home. He & Saffer offered the solution vs. others that just wanted to "rip everything out." We'd have him/them back again.
Gary & Steve came out to check on a plumbing issue at my work space, and made the experience incredibly smooth and easy!!! They were communicative, prompt, knowledgeable, and so kind! They were able to pinpoint the problem right away as our water heater, explained the whole thing to me with ease, and had an installation plan ready to go right away. I am so appreciative of how seamlessly they took care of everything which completely eliminated any stress on my end. We have used Saffer Plumbing 3+ times and its an A+++ experience every time. Thanks guys!!!!
Don't waste your time and money with them. Bad experience, failed installation, suffered one year until I found another independent plumber who fixed their failed installation in 2 hours. Will never deal with Saffer Plumbing again. To your comment below: I didn't want to pay the bill so you failed the installation, or the other way around? A business owner with such a logic capability is not far from failure.
Insanely overpriced - they contracted with Landers appliance to "install" our new range, which meant exactly 20 minutes of work to disconnect and reconnect the gas line, for $490. The going rate for this is apparently supposed to be more like $300, which is still insane. I didn't realize the simplicity of the task nor the legality of anyone else doing it so I felt backed into a corner. The technician arrived prior to the window in the morning and did his 10 minutes of work. When asked when he would return, I couldn't get an answer. I called later after the new range had arrived, still no answer. They still aren't here but we're told they are "running late". I will definitely never hire them for any other work around my home. Also, fellow internet dwellers, you'll notice the owner responds to all reviews. That feels like to me he's spending more time curating his online presence than he is actually making sure his customers are happy. ETA: Of course there is a going rate for a standard service like this. It's crazy to suggest otherwise. You can tout your five star reviews, but there are also plenty complaining about your prices.
I don't know how big this company is, but I feel like I've had the pleasure of meeting everyone! Dispatch is immediate when answering phones or responding to texts and their estimates for arrival times are spot on (Leal I believe) helped with this. Curtis installed my water heater. He is completely focused and wastes no words. Thai and Chris ...upsold me...but it was necessary for safety, so I'm happy with the members' annual overview and I can sleep soundly. Caleb fixed the temperature and water pressure in the bathroom!!! He didn't mind having me tag along so that I could learn a few things. Because I had so much going on Chris and Bob stopped by to make sure all the work was done impeccably. This really calmed me down, because the price tag almost gave me buyer's remorse-almost. Next, Eric and Kahlid grounded and bonded the system which took an extraordinary amount of effort given the tiny space they were working in. Eric made sure that the holes he cut in the dry wall were small enough for me to fix! Other electricians have not been as thoughtful. He even left clean, well-cut pieces of drywall to be reused afterwards. Finally, Khalid made sure the workspace was completely clean before they left. I highly recommend Saffer. All the guys they sent over were polite, kind, respectful, hardworking, diligent, knowledgeable AND I learned a lot from all of them. I hope I don't have any emergencies that would make them come back, but if I have a cookout, they're all invited!
Saffer pluming... what can I say... I asked them what they would charge to replace the thermocouple unit on our gas hatwayer heater.. they said they work on a flat rate system and a $66 fee to come out which goes toward the service if they do the work. Tech came and replaced the thermocouple (as I had told them it was). They didn't call me with an estimate before doing the work.... Now A thermocouple unit costs about $50 bucks. And the labor takes about 20 minutes. So Imagine my shock when they billed me $442.00... without giving me a call with an estimate! I told them it was outrageous! To pull it out and I'd go to HD and replace it my self. They lowered the price by $100... which still is about $200 more than the job should cost. The only reason I excepted that price was because I was out of town... If you have a hot water heater where the pilot lite won't stay lit it is most likely the thermocoupler.. look up a video on how to replace it your self and save about $300 to $400. I mean At that price you can buy a whole new water heater... of course Saffer would probably double the price and then charge about $1000 to install it! Sheesh! I will say the service guy was a good man.. pleasant to talk with and understanding of the issue... But he probably gets paid $30 to $40 per hour... I hope they give him benefits... Still their pricing and shell game practices makes the company a bit despicable.....
Wonderful Service! So, refreshing to get real genuine service, knowledgeable and professionalism. The morning of the appointment Scott called to let me know he was 15 minutes away. He was punctual! Scott left a great first impression when he placed the blue mat outside my front door as to not track dirt or the wet rain. Scott's communication and knowledge are top tier but what Absolutely won me over when he said he's bring CJ cause his words " I believe he can learn from this job" . CJ was respectful, courteous and kind. I will definitely recommend Saffer Plumbing.
Saffer Plumbing saves the day again! Saffer came out and cleaned my main sewer line which was backing up in my basement. They came out that day and were extremely professional. They were on time and did an excellent job of communicating with me before, during, and after the job was complete. They did a great job completing the job and were very polite throughout the process. They also educated me on the sewer line and the causes of the back-up. Saffer Plumbing will always be my families trusted plumber.
These guys are the best! Super quick, courteous and knowledgeable. Walked me through every step and kept me informed. Absolutely went above and beyond with plumbing and especially when (through no fault of Saffer) my dog got out and they took time out of their busy schedule to help me look for her until she was found. We will always appreciate the kindness and plan to use them for all electric, heater and plumbing needs in the future!
What began as repairing an emergency leaking pipe, led us to additional plumbing renovations we had been considering. The original repair was handled quickly and efficiently. Caleb was able to replace our galvanized bathroom pipes and make upgrades to our original 1939 cast iron bathtub, which we wanted to retain for the vintage look. They efficiently handled our challenging, vintage plumbing and left the work area clean. Thank you!
Called Saffer to install complete basement laundry hookups in my rowhome -- gas/water/drain/vent. Came out quickly, pricing was super competitive, scheduled quickly and they did a really great job in a really tough space. House is 120 years old and this was NOT a straightforward task. Would hire them again in an instant. Shout-out to Brad, the PVC drain lines he ran in tight spaces are a work of art. Thanks guys
We have used Saffer Plumbing a few times. This time we needed a water heater replacement and also enrolled in Safer with Saffer club. Earl and his crew replaced the water heater. They were very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Gary and Tai did the plumbing and electrical inspection. They were courteous, knowledgeable and were great to work with. I highly recommend this company.
Not gonna lie... this was the most embarrassing experience. Why? Well, it turns out our back porch lighting issue came down to nothing more than a popped GFI outlet that we didn't know was located underneath the porch🤦 Thanks for the Saffer pro for letting us know it exists and to check there in case the power goes out again!
I had a great experience with Tai Sommerfeldt. He came to do an inspection, but he went above and beyond. He answered all my questions patiently and did a minor repair without extra charge. I asked about my water heater and he found a workaround, plus he worked with the office staff to even provide another option.
