Chris Roberts helped us with several electrical projects today, including installation of a new light fixture, repair of existing fixtures, and diagnosing and repairing some nonworking lights. He did a terrific job. He was knowledgeable and worked very hard. We appreciated his insights on future projects and their relative value. Highly recommend.

Had several electrical concerns. Basement lights not working. Smoke detectors needing replaced. Surge Protector installation. 2 GFI and a light switch replaced. Adam and Chad were thorough and professional. They explained and solved our electrical problems. We appreciated their timely arrival and the quality of their work. Safe Electric also utilizes a high quality communication system that informs who is coming and when. Their uniforms are easily recognizable. The work was a little pricey, but worth it. Thanks, Adam and Chad for a job well done. We’ll be glad to refer your work to others.

Good company. Very detailed and easy to work with—which is refreshing and dare I say unusual in these times. The problem was identified quickly and my technician, Matt, because of extensive experience, was able to use some tricks of the trade to keep from performing major surgery, like cutting holes in my ceiling or pulling out my dishwasher. Saved me a lot of money and best of all, at least to this point, no leaks. I highly recommend them.

I called to have a ceiling fan installed and was told there would be a $69.95 charge to show up. They came out and wanted to look at the electric system in my home. Then they told me my system was too old and that they would not install the fan unless I did $7000 to $8000 of electrical work and still charged the $69.95. I did not call for an inspection I called to have a ceiling fan installed. This company was a waste of time and money with questionable business ethics.

My mother recently had a fan switch repaired by Safe Electric. After the work was done, the technician asked to look at her electric panel and showed her where it was supposedly "worn out" and dangerous, saying it needed to be replaced before it caused problems. He gave her an estimate of around $3400 for that work. She was worried and ready to schedule the panel replacement to be done the next week. He even called the office to get an appointment for her on the spot but luckily he was put on hold for a while and decided to move on to his next appointment. That sounded like a scam to me so we had another very reputable electrician look at it. He said the panel is in good shape, no more than 10 years old, and the dark and light areas that the tech pointed out were just natural changes and no reason for concern. She then remembered she had had the panel and upgraded about a decade ago. I wrote to the company stating this and pointing out that the fact the estimate even exists is proof of bad intentions because she certainly didn't say, "hey, can you give me an estimate to replace my panel?" There is no excuse for providing an estimate when the panel is fine. The company did not respond. Shame on them for trying to dupe a customer into expensive and unnecessary work. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that this particular employee was a bad apple, acting on his own, but they did not reply.

Buyer beware, deceitful sales practices, Performance Pay technicians. Estimate (141554786), so please don't suggest I have the wrong company. Had someone out for an estimate on a couple of projects. Was going fine at first, the guy seemed friendly enough (have his name but omitting it). Talked through a couple of things and was about to sign on the one project. Then I was told that it is code to have whole house surge protection. And by the way, since I was asking about a sub-panel install, it was highly recommended that I put another surge protector behind the first surge protector. I thought that was odd, but dismissed it. I was ready for the upsell, but given my subpanel is about 12 feet from my main... odd and expensive. Then we get to pricing. I already ran the wire for my job and was planning to order the equipment myself. The tech then tired to play off his iPad pricing as "customer supplied equipment", or if they provide the equipment, it was about $800 more ($2200). But if I was willing to sign today he would give me the "customer supplied" price AND throw in the equipment for free. But I would also have to include the surge protection option to make that workable. Oh, and there wouldn't be a warranty if I supplied my own equipment. Nope, we're done here. I showed him the door and before leaving he mentioned the $69 service fee. FOR A QUOTE?! Yeah, turns out there's some VERY FINE PRINT(hidden in fact - see pic - you have to click on the tooltip) when you schedule a call that you agree to a service fee. That is never repeated/confirmed by the dispatcher, in the confirmation email, in the confirmation texts, etc. Called the shop and spoke to someone that identified himself as a Sales Manager (omitting his name, but have it). He verified my suspicion that the tech was straight-up lying about the pricing. He also disclosed that their techs work on Performance Pay - meaning they get a percentage of the revenue they generate. Not a commission per se, but they are financially compensated to sell you more stuff. He was all apologies, but damage done - trust GONE. I'm not saying don't use these guys, I am saying go into it eyes wide open. To their credit, I will say they agreed to waive the $69 fee, but only after I threatened a BBB complaint for unsavory sales practices. Hope this helps someone else avoid the hour I wasted with this company.

Thanks to four very smart and dedicated electricians from Safe Electric & Plumbing, as well as Safe's strong and honest policy of "doing things right", our home just went from a brittle, risky and unsafe "1980s electrical haunted house" to a stable, quiet, digitally protected, state-of-the-art system that I can advertise with pride. Extremely professional, knowledgeable and well-equipped, Jeremy from Safe Electric & Plumbing quickly and safely examined our ancient and malfunctioning panel, and was able to explain not only the current problem with the microwave, but many past issues as well. This was exactly what I hoped for - someone who understood the fundamental problems and was not looking for a quick-and-dirty fix. He provided options to replace or upgrade our base system, without pressure to pick either one. We decided to upgrade to fully meet current code, and are extremely happy with the result. Dylan and Morgan put in our beautiful new panel in just a few hours, with minimal time without power. We also opted for a whole-house surge protector, modern grounding, and everything needed to meet the latest codes. And believe it or not, Dylan and Morgan did much of the outdoor work in the rain, so that we could have it the next day. Very impressive! The new system is safe and stable, and is already paying us back. It allowed me to find a basic problem with the sump pump and repair it myself. That in turn stabilized the previously problematic circuits, which Brendan then troubleshot, rewired, and brought back online. I simply cannot find words for how great of an investigator Brendan is. Not only does he explain everything he's thinking and doing - he *listens* to the customer, and integrates what he hears into his game plan. In the end, it's all working perfectly, all under warranty, and all top-of-the-line materials. The previous risk and sales liability of a bad, old, cheap electrical system, has been replaced by a top-grade system, which is a huge selling point for our home, when we finally cash in on it. While I do have some fond memories of our "old sparky" panel, I must admit that I am truly in love with the new one. It's impressive! If you want a cheap fix that doesn't actually solve the problem, go with somebody else. If you want to actually understand the problem, fix the problem, and not have it come back, go with Safe.

After being very satisfied with previous electrical work by Ed at Safe Electric, we contacted them again regarding the installation of a 30 amp/240 volt electric vehicle charging plug in our garage (typically known as an electric "dryer plug"). We also requested they install an "RV electrical box," just like the ones at the campgrounds for our RV that is parked on the side of the garage and to accommodate any RV visitors. Ed provided an estimate and also recommended the installation of a "surge protector" since our detached garage's electrical comes from buried electrical lines from our home's basement some distance away. The only other "surge protector" is on the opposite side of the house (at another basement panel). Recently, Ed and Kyle came out, crawled around in the garage's attic space, fished wire through the walls, etc, etc. The installation is VERY clean and professional. We now have the 30 amp/240 volt electric vehicle charging plug inside the garage between two of the parking spots so it can be used from either spot (wiring is ALL inside the wall). We have a full RV box on the side of the garage. It has a 30 amp/120 volt "regular plug," just like the ones in the house, another 30 amp/240 volt "dryer plug" for small or medium size RV's (or, for an electric vehicle that won't fit in the garage) and the 50 amp/240 volt plug for the BIG RV visitors. Finally, Ed and Kyle added a "surge protector" in the garage wall, just below the electrical panel. GREAT JOB, Ed and Kyle! Thank you! Looks great and we are already using some of the plugs! Please see the attached five photos of the very "clean" installations!

During summer 2021 I began planning for the installation of a mini-split unit for an "all season" room without any air conditioning or heating. I selected Custom Air, Columbus, Ohio, to install a Mitsubishi mini-split unit, but I had to find an electrician to provide 220 volt service to the exterior wall of the room. I contacted seven electrical companies for estimates, a couple did not show up at the arranged time. I ultimately received five estimates, Safe Electric was one of the more expensive (not the most expensive), but "Ed" spent more time than any other electrician carefully looking over the project and then provided the most detailed estimate that was all inclusive. Some companies had provided very general estimates that included language saying things like, "...additional required materials and time to be paid for by the property owner." Ed installed the wiring in 90 feet of metal (not plastic) pipe that he bent (with a pipe bending tool) to perfectly fit snugly under the eave of the roof. The sections of pipe were connected with waterproof fittings. The entire installation was very professional and is does not detract from the home's exterior appearance. The County's Building Inspector was very impressed with the entire installation. Please see the attached four photos. Three photos show how snugly Ed tucked away the metal pipe containing the 240 volt electrical wiring. I drew in a red line showing the path and pipe because it can be difficult to see. The forth photo is of one of the water tight fittings where the sections of pipe are connected.

Guys were great - work was very professional and they cleaned up everything completely Adding to my review from last year. Rhett and Joel were great. They gave us good advice and were extremely professional and patient. Looking forward to having Safe Electric complete all the electric work we need done at our condominium complex. This is my third review of Safe Electric. Rhett and Chris (Juice) replaced all the outlets and switches in my condo today with much newer and smarter products. They were awesome - figuring out and correcting the poor wiring job the previous owner had done. They ensured that everything was working properly and cleaned up everything completely before they left. I will always call Safe for all of my electrical needs. Fourth review - Rhett installed four new ceiling fixtures and replaced my old smoke detectors. He is always great to work with - professional and helpful, and always makes sure everything is perfect when he's finished. Rhett and Safe Electric are my go to team whenever I need electrical work done. Fifth review - Joel and Sean added an outlet to my garage for a new garage door opener. As always with the guys from Safe, they were prompt, polite, and professional.

Had a leak in a pipe and called for service. Got same day service with Matt again and as usual he was fantastic! Looks better now than it did before! Nice neat tidy! Wore bootie's over his shoes and put down a rug! He was fabulous! I ask for Matt every time and he NEVER disappoints! Thanks Matt! Had to call 3 times for no hot water with my new hot water tank. Finally the third time they sent Matt to the rescue who fixed the problem! Thank goodness for Matt Once again Jack came to my rescue for the ceiling fan. He’s always on time and always cares! You rock Jack!! I had such a great experience with Safe Electric the first time I called them again for help with my new condo. The electric was done with Jack and the plumbing was done by Tyson. They are fantastic! So much kindness brought me to my knees and filled my heart with joy! The senior discount helped a lot. I can’t say enough about the experience it was amazing! Bryce and Brayden were my technicians. THEY WERE AMAZING!! So kind and explained everything in terms that I could understand. They wore booties on their shoes so dirt and things weren’t tracked into the house. Very kind and professional. I would recommend them to everyone!

My home had both electrical and plumbing problems. Kyle and Kody came to check out if there were any electrical issues. They were most helpful in explaining what they had found, determining the problem might be plumbing related. Kyle had been to my home in the past regarding a different issue so he was familiar with my electrical upgrades done by Safe Electric. Both men were customer centered reassuring me that there were no electrical problems. They patiently answered questions and left me satisfied. Next, Lance and Lo from the plumbing department visited to address the possible problems. They repaired a toilet leak and did a whole house check of the pipes and shut-off valves. An issue with the garbage disposal was also resolved satisfactorily; they, too, were patient when answering my questions and provided the great customer service I have always had from Safe Electric and Plumbing. I have peace of mind all around. Thanks to all four of these employees!

Corey and Joel were absolutely outstanding! From start to finish, the job was done quickly and correctly, with zero shortcuts. They kept us informed every step of the way, clearly explaining what they were doing and why, which made the whole process stress-free and reassuring. On top of their excellent technical work, they were incredibly friendly and respectful in our home—and they were amazing with our dogs, which truly meant a lot to us. It’s rare to find technicians who are this skilled, communicative, and genuinely pleasant to have around. We couldn’t be happier with their work and customer service and would highly recommend Corey and Joel to anyone needing electrical services! & to both of you guys i truly hope both sides of your pillow are always cool, your socks always match, your coffee (or tea) is always the perfect temperature, and your Wi-Fi never cuts out during important moments. We could use more people who do thier job so well. Thank you!

Update 6-3-2025. Just hired these folks again to take care of an urgent and difficult issue. They sent out Kyle and Tyler. These guys are true professionals. Diligent, thoughtful, good communicators (they listen), polite, and very "likeable." Kyle and Tyler worked like surgeons: precise and clean. They also gave good advice. These are the guys you want working in your home! From 2024: Safe Electric & Plumbing is the only firm you should hire. These people are not only diligent experts who are highly responsive, they are also decent and kind people. We had them work in our home several times - and its always the same: Wonderful. They diagnose the problems with the disciplined approach of scientists. They communicate clearly, are polite and extremely pleasant - but most of all, they are the absolute best. If you hire any other company besides Safe Electric & Plumbing, you have made a mistake.

Jeremy was my technician. I had my whole panel replaced, grounding wire and he even fixed an outlet that was just sticking out the wall. He was very professional did not try pushing me into extras or upgrades that I didn’t need. He provided options and gave his advice but allowed me to pick what was best for me without feeling like he just wanted the highest sale. They showed up when they said they would and finished in the round about time frame he gave. He found an issues with the wire to my AC and provided his advice but did not push when I said I would wait to get that fixed. The price was a little higher then a quote I got a week earlier from another company, but the other quote did not include inspection, permits or a warranty. Will definitely be using them again when I’m ready to get the wiring to my AC fixed in a few months.
