This is just one of the few plumbing companies in Round Rock that offers 24 hours emergency services. This is great for our community.

We had a leak late in the evening and Round Rock Plumbing was able to get out to us quickly. They were professional, and were able to repair the leak before any further damage had been done.

We hired Round Rock Plumbing to replace a water heater that was on the fritz. We were greatful for Justin's expertise and speed in getting this replaced for us before a family gathering over the weekend. We really appreciate you for that!! We recommend this plumbing company.

Horrible, Bad, Poor workmanship. Had them return a second time to correct problems. Did not correct issues. Complained to American Home Shield who sent out another plumber who reported back to them the issues. American Home Shield terminated their contract to do work. AHS had to compensate the new plumber $600.00 to correct issues.

Not sure where to begin because so much happened. I got a bid for a tankless water heater from them and a few others. They seemed competitive and I had the impression they knew what they were doing. Under the pressure of a leaking hot water heater in my attic, I decided to go with them. They were busy and it took them a while to get to me. Thank goodness the water heater didn't open the flood gates and ruin my ceiling. They were supposed to do the job on a Saturday, but put it off for fear of rain that didn't happen. They came and took out the leaking water heater. I had two so they ran a pipe to the working one (great idea). On a separate evening they came back to do the install. The problems were: the owner put his foot through my bathroom ceiling (this could happen if you're in a attic), one of the plumbers dripped solder through the hole and all over my kid's sink and tooth brushes, they couldn't figure out how to get the water hot at most of the taps, the owner got after his guys to clean the bathroom and they did a lousy job, they were there till after 11pm and were yelling and really loud with my kids trying to sleep on a school night, they drained my old water heater into the drain for the washing machine (ok) but forgot to put the washing machine drain hose back (not ok) and I flooded my floor when I washed clothes, the owner wanted to leave the thermostat inside the screwed down panel of the heater (no way to adjust it that way), they turned off the gas to my hot tub and didn't turn it back on, there were a few other irritations but you get the idea. They did have a painter come to fix the ceiling at no charge. That was appreciated but then I had to coordinate with another contractor and be there while he fixed it. They also sent another one if their plumbers to work on the hot water heater, who made adjustments to it and tried replacing the cartridge on some of the showers. It kept getting a little better but not what the owner or the manufacturer said I would experience. With a tankless you should get hot water "in seconds" and it shouldn't run out. I went with Rinnai because they advertise a separate recirculating line is not needed. I think my problem was the owner and his merry band of circus clowns didn't understand completely how the product works (even though they are certified by Rinnai). The manufacturer kept telling me it must be a bad install. But in order for it to work, you have to set the timer to recirculate the water so it can be instantly hot at the tap. They never did that. On the inspection day, the inspector said the install looked correct. Their better plumber did take the time to call Rinnai with me to discuss the under performance. I programmed the recirculation, and the best result I can get is the water from my shower starts to get hot in 20 seconds (not 5 like promoted). My conclusion was it would work better if my house was built for a tankless or had the recirculation line. Rinnai has an ability other units don't, so it works ok (more like a traditional water heater). Overall, the was expensive and painful. They get one extra star for sending the best guy they had to straighten things out.

One day my daughter noticed water stains on the ceiling of her bedroom. Right away, I knew right way where that was coming from. There were 2 tank water heaters in the attic above her bedroom. Upon climbing into the attic to inspect, I found one of the water heaters was leaking at the top where the hot water exits the tank. Right away I called a plumbing company to get an estimate on replacing water heater. The first company that came to the house suggested tankless water heater to replace both 20 year old tanks. So, I started Google searching for the best tankless heaters. After that, I called three other plumbing companies to get their recommendations and estimates. Two companies that came to the house said I needed to remove the pull-down stair case assembling in order to get both tank water heaters out of the attic. A third company said to leave the both 50 gallons and 40 gallons tanks in the attic. For the fourth company, I called Austin Area Plumbing (not to be confused with "Austin Area Pluming and Drain Cleaning). Technician Garrett Beshears showed up. He went to the attic to inspect. He came down and said he could remove both tanks without tearing down the pull down stair case, thus saving me extra work and cost. The first company said it was my responsibility to hire a roofer to install the heater's inlet/exhaust vents going through the roof. The third company said they could run the PVC vents thought the existing metal cylinders. They said when the PCV pipes touch the vent caps at the top they would lower the pipe a few inches. However, Garrett said it was not recommended because rust and debris could fall into the tankless water heat and cause problems later. He said he would run the pipes through the roof, put and seal the collars around the opening on top of the roof. Both tank water heaters had 1/2" gas lines. Three companies said they would use one of the existing gas line to supply gas to tankless heater and cap off the other gas line. Garrett said the tankless heater requires 3/4" supply line. A 1/2" line is not good enough. He said since the main gas line is 1.0", he could connect to it with a 3/4" line. The model of the tankless units I was looking at came with a recirculating pump. One company wanted to charge me $200 for crossover tee to speed up hot water delivery to fixtures. There was no extra charge for this tee from Austin Area Plumbing. The cost estimate for the tankless water heater plus installation from 3 companies was comparable. But one company was $3,000.00 MORE for the same unit and work. And it had good reviews! Garratt had to work in the attic and on top of the roof when it was super HOT. I felt sorry he had to work under this condition. But he NEVER complain and NEVER took short cuts to finish and get the hell out from the heat!! He was extremely professional, as his work, and very accommodating. He did whatever I wished. He did a superb job!! He is a hard working guy! I know this review may be very lengthy but I want you to know my experience with several companies with good reviews. But it's the technician that's doing the work that can make or break the company's reputation.

Reasonable, Honest, Professional and Courteous Plumber! Over this past weekend on Saturday, Nov 11th, a neighbor alerted me to the fact that water was running down our driveway at a pretty high rate. I had hoped the issue was with sprinkler system, but sadly it was with our water main between the meter and our home. I spent most of Saturday afternoon and all-day Sunday trying to locate the leak in our yard with countless hours of digging. Finally, on Monday early afternoon Roto Rooter came out with specialized Sonar equipment to narrow in on the leak. They helped find a copper pipe (house side) and PVC pipe (yard side) that met under a poured concrete sidewalk to access our backyard. And then provided me an estimate of nearly $4000 to perform the repair, which would take approximately 3 hours. I just couldn't believe the price.... so, I turned them down. I spent the rest of Monday and most of Tuesday was focused on digging under the sidewalk to find the transition point between PVC and copper, which happened to be the point of failure. I also contacted two (2) different plumbers recommended by friends for estimates. One was willing to do the work at hourly rate and a fraction (less than a third) of Rotor Rooter but still pricey for what I knew needed to be done. The other was Dennis with Austin Area Plumbing. I called Dennis on Monday late afternoon, and he spent time with my on the phone hearing about my saga, the work I had done to uncover the leak, expose the pipes and reduce the repair work. He even looked at pictures I texted him to get a sense of the issue. In the end, Dennis said, the more you can do to minimize my work, the more it will save you. He was a man of his word! Dennis put my on his schedule for Wednesday around noon. On Tuesday, Dennis checked in with me on my progress and if I could still use his help, which I did. Finally, on Wednesday, he showed up promptly around noon with txt updates of his heading my way. Upon arrival, Dennis surveyed my preparation and acknowledged that I had done all the "HARD" work in digging and exposing the issue. He proceeded to cut out the damaged pipes, discuss the pros and cons of two options with me, and then proceeded with an agreed to plan-of-attack. We agreed to use PEX with copper-to-PEX fittings on the house side and PVC-to-PEX fittings on the yard side with a slightly bowed 1" PEX tube under the sidewalk to restore the water supply. After a little over an hour he was done, then we just had to wait for glue to cure and then test the repair. Finally, the moment of truth... water turned on and no leaks... Hooray! In the end, Dennis was the best option for us and the more reasonable price. I cannot thank Dennis with Austin Area Plumbing enough. He is a true saint! If you need plumbing work done professionally by an experienced plumber with reasonable rates, look no farther - Call Austin Area Plumbing!

Our Handyman referred us to these guys and I cant thank him enough. I had called 6 different plumbers prior and gotten some outrageous quotes to put a PRV on the system to our new home, those quotes ranged from 7/800 to 2000 dollars. The receptionist I was in contact with ( I believe her name was Amanda but I am really bad with remembering names if I dont see a face) was super pleasant, very helpful and returned calls within minutes of us leaving a message. I asked her a few questions - she admitted to not being sure of the answer and said she would get with one of their technicians and call me back shortly. Within 10 minutes she called back with all the info we needed and a general range price wise of what we were looking at ( I really admire that someone doesnt bs you when they dont have a clue what you are talking about- I loved that she called someone to find out the answer so we were getting the right info.) Their price range was well under any of the other plumbers we spoke with and on top of it they offered to come look at the system and give us a more personally adjusted estimate. Not one of the other plumbing companies we contacted out of the 6 offered a free estimate. I set up and appt for the estimate and a very nice gentleman named Justin came out. He gave me an estimate for 461.95 - my jaw dropped after what we had been getting quotes for, I asked when we could schedule and expect the work to be completed- his reply I can be here tomorrow morning and have it all finished for you. YES PLEASE! We had them come out the next morning for the work and upon digging up the appropriate spot in the line Justin found a busted valve, he informed us and called the City of Austin to have it fixed immediately. Justin and his guys waited for the City to come out( which took a few hours)and fix the necessary components then completed our work. The price for work done was exactly what we were quoted. I like that they didnt just say oh well and leave to rebook us another day, they also let us know if the new pressure wasnt working out they could come and adjust it for us if we needed at no extra charge. Now we know who to call for plumbing and I couldnt be more thankful to Justin and the crew

You will call Round Rock plumbing and get some other plumber that you didn't bargain for. I called early on a Saturday morning with the knowledge that a plumbing supply store (Feguson) would be closed by midday. I knew that I had a water heater that need to be replaced, because I had replaced three others in the span of 15 years. Not many were actually open. Round rock plumbing was my second call as the first call to Crow Plumbing had me go to an answering service. While Round Rock Plumbing, at least who I thought was Round Rock plumbing, was responsive and answered the call directly and immediately told me that they could be to my house, they improperly diagnosed this situation, which I was very skeptical of what they thought their solution was. And it cost me almost $360.00. The company that showed up was Fast Fox Plumbing Whose service personnel took a quick look at my water heater and saw a condensation on one of the supply lines. And ascertained that all of the water that was coming from the water heater was more than likely from the supply line. I've vehemently opposed their thought process, Because of the amount of water that had increased over two nights, and there was no active drip coming from the water supply line. They drained the drip pan dry and I agreed to change the water supply line only because they said, if it wasn't the cause, they would wrap the cost of it into a water heater replacement. Immediately after changing the water supply line they saw that the drip pan was full again and was quickly able to find the root cause of the drip being from the tank itself. Then they quoted me a figure of about $2300 to change the water heater. I was in deep skepticism of their work and their ability to even properly diagnose the situation as well as be honest with me when I told them that the water heater was the problem. I paid them and let them go, and ended up going with Crow Plumbing whoI was very happy with. The cost to me from Crow Plumbing was $1850 for a 10 year tank which I don't think I would have gotten from Fast Fox plumbing as they were dependant on Ferguson Supply.

It was my worst experience with this company. My texas rental house's Rinnai water heater displayed error code 11, and I found this company through the Rinnai website. The first technician came to my house on June 12, 2024, spent only 15 minutes diagnosing the issue, and charged me $219.95. This fee included a mileage charge, which I was not informed about when making the appointment. Initially, I was pleased that the problem seemed to be fixed. However, two weeks later, the same error reappeared. When I called the company, they informed me that since the first technician had left the company and there was nothing wrong with his job, I would need to pay again for a different technician to come. I reluctantly agreed, given the recommendation from the Rinnai website. The second technician arrived on July 16, 2024, advised me to perform a water flush, and charged me another $353.95. He eventually identified the issue as a faulty pressure reducing valve and provided a quote of $1,469.95 to replace it. The frustrating part was when the second technician left, the front desk demanded immediate payment, threatening additional charges if I didn't pay right away, as the technician couldn't leave otherwise. I told the front desk that the technician could leave and I needed time to pay. Feeling mistreated, I called the front desk to express my dissatisfaction with their urgency and rudeness. They directed me to speak with the director, Melissa. Melissa insisted that the first technician had done his job correctly and acknowledged that the front desk shouldn't have been so pushy. This made me feel somewhat better, so I asked her if I could get a discount on replacing the valve. She said it might be possible and would get back to me later. However, when I followed up with a text message asking about the discount, I received no response. Right now I think the company is ridiculous, I paid the company not a specific technician, it is none of my business that the first technician left the company. Be careful of this company!

This review is so late! But last year we noticed a wet area outside the front door. In July. After a few weeks of hoping it would go away, and then a couple more weeks of ignoring it, we finally determined as responsible home-owners, that constantly wet dirt in July/August was a sure sign that there was a big, horrible plumbing problem that needed to be fixed. The first two companies that came out spent 5 minutes looking at the wet spot before telling us we needed to get the whole house replumbed. Uh, NEXT! By the time the third guy came out, a few days later, it was clear that the problem was a leaky water supply line because there was a veritable fountain of water shooting out from the side of the house. Aha! But then he tells us that he just moved here from California and still doesn't have all his tools and basically puts a bandaid on the leak and tells us "good luck" and then I paid him a hundred dollars. (I found out later he was not even licensed in Texas! If I'd looked closer, I would have noticed all his excellent Yelp reviews were from people in CA. Ugh. Dick.) Finally I find Austin Area Plumbing and Andreas comes out and fixes the big huge job the same day. The big huge job involved digging out and replacing the whole supply line. It was 6 hours of work for two guys and involved them having to use a jackhammer or something. It was amazing. And the icing on the cake (and the reason I am writing this now) is their customer service! Now, a year later, the house is on the market and I need proof that the repair was done. Of course, I threw all my home-repair receipts right into the trash as soon as I decided to sell the house, like "Whee!". But I called AAP and Mandy went above and beyond to track down the original invoice and email me a scanned copy and save my ass. Thanks, Mandy!

Well, found myself in quite the pickle on a Sunday afternoon. We had our house releveled on Friday and Saturday afternoon I noticed water running from under the house while the wife was in the shower. As that day was her birthday and we had plans, I had to put the repair off until the next day. So, I find myself on a Sunday needing a plumber and dreading what the charge was going to be. I'm really getting to the point that I rely on Yelpers for referrals, and once again I was not disappointed. Read some very good reviews on Austin Area Plumbing and decided to give them a try. Called them around 7am and he said he could have someone out by noon. Noon rolled around and had not heard from anyone. Called the office back, and he was very surprised I had not heard from the tech. Hung up, and heard from the tech two minutes later. He had assumed my area code was 512 and had been calling the wrong number. Was not distressed by that as it has happened before. Blake showed up around 2pm and crawled under the house to take a look. My sewer drain had broken due to the house being raised. Blake got everything fixed back up and even looked at the rest of the drain lines while I ran water in the kitchen, bath, and flushed the toilet. He even put extra screws in the skirting around my kitchen drain lines. Great service, very positive attitude by the tech, and folks, I was only charged $145.00 for a Sunday, rush repair job. Needless to say, Austin Area Plumbing now has all of my future plumbing business.

Our water heater busted and was leaking the day before yesterday, but I didn't realize it until after work and after hours. I drained it and shut off the water intake line & gas to keep it sound until we could get someone out. I called Austin Area Plumbing yesterday to get an estimate at about 11:30a on my lunch (I have a very busy work schedule) and Blake Byrd was out to my house within a couple of hours and ON TIME! He was very helpful and efficient, explaining to me what we needed and provided an estimate. He was willing to work with me on getting us what we needed and within our budget. He was patient with me, explaining anything I asked thoroughly and with kindness - which is fairly rare these days in customer service! He got the water heater replaced same day and STILL took the time to show me how to light it and if any emergencies occurred, where the valves were for cut off (even though I probably could have figured it all out on my own, I asked to have him run me through it and he happily did!) and what the process would be. He reminded me it's best to flush it once yearly and that if there is anything at all I needed, to call him and he'd be there to help. Blake Byrd not only won our business yesterday, but I have delightfully found myself a new plumber that is fair, responsive, and helpful and I am just over joyed that I had this experience! My faith is restored! THANK YOU BLAKE BYRD AND AUSTIN AREA PLUMBING FOR ALL YOU DID FOR OUR FAMILY YESTERDAY!

Dennis and his crew are amazing. We bought a fifties home that was largely original and haphazardly repaired when it came to plumbing. We had them gut the house and start from scratch. They did our 2.5 bathroom house from the city main all the way back in 8 days, including gas lines. His crew was knowledgable and courteous. We had odd requests such as "socks only inside" as our wood floors were drying at the same time. They worked around other crews and obliged every request we made. I am PICKY when it comes to contractor work, and my ONLY complaint is a single spigot outside is a bit loose. On a project that big, to be my only complaint is incredible. They truly did an amazing job. Price. That is always important. Dennis was more than fair. He quoted the best price of the six or so we called to look at the job and gave me a ballpark, but suggested we do hourly plus cost of materials as we would likely come out cheaper that way. In the end they ran into some hicuups and it went passed the ball parked figure, Dennis wouldn't take a penny over that price even though it wasn't a quote; we had agreed to hourly. He truly is an outstanding and honest guy. They even loaned me a few tools to dig for a fence I was building at the same time and gave me some pointers. We are about to add some gas appliances and I cant wait to give him more business to come run the lines. I can't say enough good things about the plumbing work they did.
