Marcus came in to fix an issue we were having with our reverse osmosis system. He identified and clearly explained an error that was made by a previous electrician and fixed the issue. Would recommend Marcus again. Great service and price!!

Emergency at dinner time!!! Thank goodness for Marcus! Marcus was so kind and patient! He unclogged our drain and made sure everything was flowing and flushing properly before he left. It was a 💩 situation but Marcus made us feel incredibly calm because he was so calm. We highly recommend Marcus!

I’m giving Vincent 7121 a 5 star for quality service. He’s very honest and knowledgeable. He replaced my kitchen faucet, the cartridge in the shower and fixed my water softener system and checked my bathroom sink drains. Prices are affordable and no hidden fees. The only issue I had was the wait time. I think it’s the company cause they overbook the techs. If you’re willing to wait at least you won’t have to pay an arm and leg. Unlike cornerstone they could not figure out any of my issues, Vincent was spot on .

Traveling in Florida and got into trouble so i jumped on yelp and these guys were first position!! kept getting transfered to L.A. due to my cell phone and they dropped my call each time. Finally got through and they refuse to give any pricing data: would not even give me a best case secenario!! But, i remember their commercial and they said would have a guy in an hour! Twenty minutes later they called and told me it will be 3 hours! still no possible estimate. After 5 calls, no data and no appointment! I even called their customer service and gave them a chance to help me! This time, i was put further back on the list! I wont be calling them again! I will go to the independents

Horribly unprofessional. I waited four hours and they never showed. I called once an hour and was only told they were "on their way" every time. Ridiculous.

I seldom write reviews, but in this case I'm compelled to make an exception. We live in a townhouse in South Tampa and experienced the "historic" deluge of rain that fell on the Tampa area on June 10, 2015 (I've heard estimates of 5 to 8 inches of rain in a matter of a few hours.) Our garage and adjoining large storage area (like an "above ground basement") were flooded with 4 inches of water. We had never had any flooding before this. We had a very large number of items in the storage area, many in cardboard boxes, and including several pieces of furniture and framed art work. Everything that was sitting on the floor was soaked. I provide this detailed description to provide some idea of the magnitude of the "disaster" we faced that evening. One of our neighbors, who had a similar level of flooding, although only a few items stored, had called Roto-Rooter. Melvin Davis and his team (Bill, Robert, Joe and Gregg) arrived very quickly and began their water removal and process. After checking with our insurance company, I asked Melvin if he would provide those services for our unit. Since it was already late in the evening, if he agreed to do it, I expected it would be the next day, at the earliest. But, Melvin not only agreed to do our unit, but also said he would begin that evening. He emphasized (as had my insurance company) that it was important to begin the water removal and drying process as soon as possible to minimize further damage and the potential of contamination from bacteria and/or mold. As soon as they had completed the initial water removal and installation of drying units (large fans and large heater/dehumidifiers) in the first two units they had agreed to do, Melvin's team did the same for our unit. However, in our case, it was much more difficult due to the much larger number of items in our garage and storage area. After deploying the pumping system and beginning to pump out the water, it was past midnight. Since it would take time to pump-out the standing water, and it was already past midnight, Melvin wisely decided to leave and return in the morning to continue the water reduction, including: to install additional equipment (large fans and large heater/dehumidifier units); to begin the difficult task of moving the large number of cardboard cartons and other water-damaged items into the garage so my wife and I could begin to go through them to decide what to throw away and what to try to recover; and to reposition the remaining items in the storage and place 1 inch pieces of Styrofoam under all the items on the floor to speed the drying process. Melvin and his team worked all day Jun 11. Also, when they left that evening, they took several large heavy-duty plastic bags (which they provided) full of damaged items which we could not place in our City trash and recycle containers. Melvin returned on June 12, and again on June 13 and 14, to check on their equipment and use his test equipment to measure the moisture levels and determine if our unit was sufficiently dried-out. He also sprayed the entire area with an anti-microbial treatment. On June 15, Melvin sent Bill to remove their equipment and to bring us some excellent pallets to use to reduce any damage if we should ever experience flooding again; and on June 16, Melvin and Robert made their last visit to reinstall the baseboards in a small utility closet that they had to remove to dry the dry wall. They also brought us several more pallets. I know this is a VERY LENGTHY review. But, I feel it is necessary to support why I say that Melvin's Roto-Rooter team provided us FANTASTIC service. There is absolutely no way my wife and I would have been able to deal with this "disaster", if they had not been here and gone so far "beyond the call of duty" in helping us. They are "true professionals". Equally important they are thoughtful and caring human beings, and reflect that in their services. Sam Russ

2 years ago I gave a 5 star rating but i have since changed my mind. Worst company to deal with ever. On 12/5, I requested service to clean out septic/sewer line. All drains were backed up with 4 inches of sewage in bathtub and shower. I explained from experience to bring at least 100 feet in cable. After arrival, one tech said we will go from the roof, I explained it had been tried other times (even by their company) to no avail. Then he said he found the cleanout which was to the new drainfield. He acted very displeased with me when I said no it was still on the side of the house. 5 minutes later, the one who kept assuming things says my septic is full. I explained our septic ran high. So after an ordeal and making a mess of the floor in the bathroom (muddy boots!), they finally said they opened the lines. Charged me $312.00 and left. Including cigarette butts in yard and a Malboro emply pack at the back. 2 days later, the toilets started running slow, then 3rd day just stopped. On the 9th, I called to set an appointment for another call. Since it was the weekend, they could not arrive until Monday. I was having my "septic" guys come out to see if something else could have been wrong. At 7:30 they came an cleaned the septic tank out so the could camera the insides. Then RR came out, ran a 100 foot snake for over an hour and said it was finally cleared. They then presented me with a bill for $270.00 even though I was told initially that if anything backed up give them a call at no charge. I asked my camera guy from the septic company if anything was holding the lines back. He said no so I confronted RR guy who basically told me he could do nothing about it. I then called Al at the office and he started in about me not calling the next day that there was a problem...leading me to believe there would have been no charge. Then stated the septic was full so I asked why the toilets were still backed up after the septic tank was emptied. He was very rude, refused to listen. I gave up and stated I would post a review....his response was "go ahead, I can write a review too". So he hung up. I would never recommend this company to anyone unless it was my worst enemy. After over 1 week, I never did get a call back or any concerns. Putting iy nicely, this company sucks wind.

I highly recommend anyone to avoid this company for plumbing work. Our experience with them was more akin to that of a sleazy salesmen than a reputable and professional plumber. They took advantage of us in the midst of serious plumbing issues by promising a speedy job to resolve all our problems at a very high price; and then the complete service was not even provided as originally agreed due to them breaking a section of pipe under our slab. When we requested a revised invoice they gave no clear or detailed information as to how they arrived at the final cost and actually categorized over a third of the total job cost as "Other" with no further explanation. When you question their invoicing practices they just repeatedly refer to the company pricing matrix that they have to follow and give no further detail whatsoever. This is unlike our experience with other professionals who itemize each aspect of a bill in detail and don't just plug large amounts as "Other." Not to mention, almost all of the employees we interacted with throughout the process were either inexperienced, unprofessional, or both. They even showed up late on inspection day and missed the inspector resulting in 5 days delay on the job. The company never made any concessions based on how the job went until we complained. Once we did they said they wanted to make us happy. We clearly laid out what that would take and supported our request with a letter and very reasonable itemized breakdown. They ultimately ended up only giving whatever they wanted anyway and telling us that's it. Basically enough to say they did something but still rip us off. I wish our experience with Roto Rooter Tampa on no one and highly advise anyone with plumbing needs to consider other more professional local companies.

The technician that came to my house was extremely rude. When he first arrived I asked him to please go in through the garage because I have a small dog that runs out as soon as I open the door. In not so many words he refused to do it. I said okay and let him in. I showed him what the problem was and he didn’t seem too familiar with what the he seems upset because there wasn’t a way for him to unclog the sink without taking apart the pipes underneath the sink. He was also dirty and smell of cigarettes stayed in my kitchen after he left. I always try to make the technician job easier by removing anything that is on their way. Including this time. After he looked under the sink he opened a binder he brought with him and showed me the price. When I saw it I said I wasn’t going to pay $545 dollars to get a sink unclogged. He then asked me how much I wanted to pay. We went back and forth negotiating until I decided to pay him $300 for a job that was worth half of that. My husband and I are in military family and we lived in different states and countries and I felt like I was overseas negotiating with the locals instead I was in the united state negotiating with a company that had been around for years. I didn’t know what to say because even though I used this company before but it wasn’t in Florida. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and I asked him if he was a contractor and not a company employee. He started arguing with me about the price and about warranty. I ended up paying $300 dollars without warranty otherwise it would’ve been more. He was at my house less than an hour. I went with them because I had used them before in my previous home in a different estate and I was happy with the job and the price , but will NEVER use them again.

Horrible business to use. I was speaking with 3 different people at various times trying to figure out who I was suppose to instruct to take out the remainder of my floor and who was fixing my bellied pipe. I instructed a RR employee day 1 that all the floor should be removed due to water damage and the RR employee even said "Yes, not a problem. All of the wood needs to come off since it will be impossible to match." To my surprise I come home to wood still being in my house except for where the water damage occured. Call the RR employee that told me it would all be removed and he says that is not his side of the business. My thinking process is that he is a RR employee so he should of relayed the message atleast. I call another guy from RR and ask him what happened and he gives me an attitude after I express my unhappiness to a uncompleted job. I instruct the guy to finish the job and he says okay but never came back to my house. I ended up having to remove the rest of the floor myself. They also tried to send a guy over to my house at 10 pm to pick up equipment while I was not home. I instructed the guy that I had friends from out of town over and that I didnt want a stranger in my house with their belongings there and that I never recieved a call and/or informed of when they were going to pick up the equipment, I told that guy sorry but that guy gave me attitude because he was upset that he drove all the way to my house and I would not allow him in my gate. They dont care about the quality of service they give at all. My situation cost about 6000 altogether and for that price I would think a follow up call from someone asking how the service went but nothing.

My toilet was being weird. Flushing but not flushing. So I went online and booked an appointment on RotoRooter's website. I was able to select the time frame I wanted them to come. They offer 24 hour service so I could have asked them to come in the middle of the night but I decided to wait until the next morning. I got two email confirmations of my appointment time and when my plans changed I was able to call and move my appointment up. The company called when they were sending the plumber out and he called a few minutes later to get directions. He arrived within the time window I was given, just barely but still within the window. He laid out my options and said he would start with snaking the line. He had a better word for it than that but you get the idea. After about 5 minutes, the toilet was clear and working properly. He tried to sell me a enzyme solution for $58, I declined. The service cost $167.00. I used the coupon on Yelp and got $50 off but it was still $117.00. That seems like a lot of money to me for a simple plugged toilet. I know plumbing is dirty work and I did end up cleaning up after the plumber left. There was dirt and gunk left in the bathroom around the toilet and on the floor. I can also see where the inside of the toilet was scratched from the snake. It's not really a big deal but FYI. Overall, I was happy with the customer service on the front end. So-so with the service I received and meh with the value. I will probably be looking elsewhere unless I am in a bind and really need a 24 hour a day plumber.

Jason Zach with Roto-Rooter responded to my call within less than one hour. I had a clog that was interconnected disabling use of kitchen sink, dishwasher, and bathroom shower. Jason was extremely polite, respectful, friendly and knowledgeable on top of being timely. After clearing the hair clog from the shower drain, we kept both the kitchen sink and dishwasher running with the shower for some time to ensure all 3 areas could function simultaneously without the back up resuming. Jason also had me drain the dishwasher before he left to check again. The back up in the shower had created a disgusting mess in my white walk in shower. Jason cleaned the entire shower floor on his hands and knees until it was spotless. Jason also worked with a tarp down to protect my white tile floors and left the house clean and tidy as if there was never an issue. Having the $60 coupon was an added relief to a job which you hate spending your hard earned money on, when you would rather spend your money on summer vacation, not a giant hairball. If you want a fast response, a wonderful customer service experience, a fair price, and a job with great reliable results, definitely request Jason Zach at Roto-Rooter in the Tampa Bay Area. It is hard to put your trust in a stranger when you are a home owner. I am truly grateful for the care I received today and would definitely highly recommend Jason Zach to anyone in need of plumbing service. Timely, Friendly, Knowledgeable, High Quality Results! Guaranteed for 6 Months! 813-889-8430

I called Monday for a pool deck drain estimate...it wasn't an emergency but, surprisingly they sent someone within 2 hrs and called a hr before to let me know they were on their way, but that is where I stopped being impressed. The representative that came to my home smelled as if he had smoked the whole way to my house with the windows up. He was rude, short in his response and didn't listen to the problem or to the project that was to be completed after. He clearly had his own agenda for up selling the severity of the issue. He was unprepared and didn't even measure the area to be retrofitted. He did call his supervisor and admitted that he couldn't estimate the job and another appointment was to be made. I was placed on speaker phone and an appointment was made for today Wed at 8am. At 820 I called to see if they forgot and was told it is a 2 hr window although they saw the note for 8am. I was put on hold and then transferred to someone else that couldn't give me information. I was told that the person to be coming out would be called and I would be called back shortly with an estimated time. At 10:45am I called again and cancelled the appointment. No call, no followup, no respect... NO JOB, NO REFERRAL. Update: I was called by the company after my post to follow up and apologize for my experience as well as offer a referral of another company that could help with my project. Thank you

I'd give a negative stars if I could... I own a condo in Tampa. My renters called with a toilet problem: they have to hold the flushing mechanism for a solid minute before it flushes. I called the "24/7 Emergencies" company Roto Rooter on Wed, they couldn't come out till at least 10-11pm (this was at 4). We made an appt for 5pm-7pm on Friday. Friday comes, RR called me at 7pm (the end of my appt window) stating they couldn't get there till at least 10pm again. Renters had to work on Sat, so then we made an appt for Sunday 8am-9am. RR finally shows up at 10am (after the appt window): per the renters, "he wasn't there for barely 2 minutes." The RR plumber calls me at 1030, states the drain plug is broke (which was my original thought and a quick fix) and also that the valve coming in from the wall needs replacing. I ask if he can just replace the plug now and I'll arrange with the HOA to shut off the condo water at a later time. He says, "maam, we're not going to replace just 1 thing when it won't fix the problem". I said I'm requesting you do the one thing and I will pay you for it. His reply, "oh, well, I had to go to my next site, I'm not there anymore." WTF?!?!?!? Didn't keep 1 appt, didn't fix the problem, wasted 5 days of my renters time and my sleep (I live in CA, so 3 hr time difference - I keep getting woken up with calls).

Have used Roto-Rooter several times since we have an old home with old plumbing. Best experience was on the first Christmas in this house several years ago, when we were having guests for dinner and the drains clogged.....so we could not use sinks/toilets, etc. With great trepidation we tried calling Roto-Rooter, half-expecting no response. So we were delightedly surprised to get a quick call-back, and a plumber arrived 30 minutes later, a German-born craftsman named Harald. He got to work quickly and was up on our roof in a light rain, running his powered roto-"snake" down from the top. Problem took several tries but he got it done in a little over an hour. The charge was amazingly affordable considering this was a holiday. We have had him back subsequently for minor problems, always asking for Harald by name. Note that they do not just clear drains, but do other plumbing as well....and will sell you organic solvents to use to prevent drain build-up. Also note the $40 discount that is posted on the RotoRooter website. And once you get on their customer list, you get well-timed reminders about avoiding problems......e.g. at Thanksgiving, do not put turkey skin in the garbage disposal or grease down the drain..........but if you insist on dumb...they will come.
