Mark did a great job installing a new water heater for our house. No mess left behind. Roto-Rooter called/advised me they were running a little behind schedule the day of install, but all went well. I wouldn't hesitate to call RR again. The peace-of-mind of a guaranteed job & a trustworthy tech is well worth the price. Thank you!

Roto Rooter is great. We have unfortunately had to use them several times now for some larger projects, and each time they have impressed me more than the time before. Each tech we have had has been professional, knowledgeable and personable. At no point did I feel like I was being upsold or even really sold at all, but rather walked through the process of diagnosis of the problems and finding a solution that was best fit for me and my family’s needs. I truly feel like not only did I receive quality service and craftsmanship, but I also learned a lot about the process, and my home as a whole. Thank you Chris and Mark as you both have made me and my family feel more safe in our home. I will use them for any and all of my future needs and will recommend them to anyone I know.

Back in July of 2024, I had a sewer blockage from roots in my main sewer line. After Roto Rooter came out and started working on my line, they suggested I replace three sections of my main sewer line. Through their financing company they are partnered with, I maxed out what I could borrow and paid in cash the rest which would only repair two sections. They said they would do the two worst sections and leave the third. With them not doing the third section, they told me I should not have any issues for a long time. Just that first time of them coming out, I was charged a little over $15,000 and that is not including clean up or asphalt repair. Now as of December 2025, I am having issues again. I called Roto Rooter again to see what’s going on. They suggested replacing another section. Just for them to replace one more section, is an additional $10,000. I decided to call another company just to see what they would say. I did not want to keep having a sewer issue every 1-2 years. I had another company come out and recommend to replace the whole outside line. They informed me that it is not recommended to replace a sewer line section by section. They only charged me $8,500 to replace the whole outside line from my house to the road. That includes them replacing my asphalt. When Roto Rooter came to my house in July of 2024, they made me feel like they needed to fix my sewer line that day. I felt pressured to just do what they said and not get quotes from other companies. Everyone that I spoke to at Roto Rooter was extremely nice. I honestly believed they had our best interest. Now I feel like they are a scam. It is not even the price that upsets me. It is the fact that they try to tell me that replacing section by section is better for me as a customer but really is just ensures that they will need to come back out again.

Work that was completed for the mitigation was done well and professionally. Despite being asked to be called or sent a text on an arrival time I did not receive one and instead just got a knock on the door which made planning around the schedule difficult. One of the days, I had planned for them to arrive in the morning so that they can get whatever they need done to continue my day. They ended up showing up in the afternoon due to an “urgent job” and therefore I needed to change my schedule to accommodate for it. The only communication I got about their late arrival was when I had reached out to the manager about it. When I asked about my clothes getting cleaned, the manager said he would get me in contact with someone who would be able to help with getting the clothes cleaned. It was not explained that the work would be going through Roto-Rooter and not insurance, which had Roto-Rooter charge me 20% of the bill from the people cleaning the clothes all for just getting my contact information to the company that would be cleaning the clothes which led to me getting closer to my insurance limit which led me to spending more money out of pocket. Overall did a good job with cleaning out the sewer line, mitigating the issue and fixing the problem for the sewer line just wish communication was better to understand to avoid the 20% fee for getting me in contact with the company to get my clothes cleaned. Total cost for the water clean up, mitigation, clothes being cleaned, and the 20% fee from Roto-Rooter was around $9.5k. The cost to get the drain and sewer line initially cleaned out was around $500. The cost to replace the sewer line, which required them to tear up the retainer wall, throw the bricks into a pile in my front yard cost me around $21k as well. Below photos is from before and after of the work when I was able to view it and I had already started to move some bricks down to start to rebuild the wall

My husband and I do not have enough words to express the team that we had! Brandon, Kacey, Aaron, and many others worked with us on a nightmare that Omni Fiber created for us. They blew through our sewage line creating a backflow into our home creating damage to the inside of our home. They never mentioned it and this team at Roto-Rooter stayed with us and walked us through this to prove that they were the ones that created this damage. They have provided support we would have never imagined in a situation that was a complete nightmare. They were so responsive and helpful and have continued to be beyond anything we would have ever imagined with a plumbing company. They were the first to respond and get out to our home in the middle of the night and are still working with us till this is all resolved. We will continue to use Roto-Rooter for all our future plumbing needs and will tell everyone we know to use them, could not have been blessed with a better team in such an awful situation. Today, 5 weeks after the initial nightmare that was created by the underground work for the fiber optics. We were able to get approval for Roto-Rooter to be able to fix the sewer line correctly! Can NOT thank these guys enough for all their hard work & kindness they have shown us during this process! We have recommended them to everyone we’ve talked to and will continue to do so! We will most certainly use them for any plumbing needs in our future! The crew at the Canton, Ohio location is absolutely the best!! Brandon Wilson, Brandon K & Trysten were AMAZING!! New sump pump, cleaned out the pit & they got us up to code, routed properly & installed a utility sink, faucet, & laundry pump as well. Got everything up and going, walked us through how it all works and answered all our questions! They were wonderful, cleaned everything up, and assured everything was working properly before leaving! Any and all plumbing needs…. We will be calling them! We now have peace of mind with them getting us take care of and finally up to code and no more worries! Thank you ALL!! HIGHLY recommend!!

If I could leave a negative star rating I would! Unless you want threatening phone calls and the owner to show up to your home because of making it known that you are a unsatisfied customer instead of trying to make it right and leaving it to have to dispute your charge on your card to get money back then I would NEVER use these guys! How UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, and ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I WOULD NEVER refer these people to anyone I know! Considering they went to a job three times made a mess, couldn't manage to do their job, SEVERELY over charged and changed the already quoted price and tacked on a extra $125 to turn around to have to come back a SECOND time to come out and fix something they should of done right the first time! And the THIRD time they came to have to find the septic that was supposed to be found the first they were there. Considering they added extra charges that was NOT disclosed at initial phone call when the scheduled appointment was made. Had to be referred to a secondary contractor they apparently work with often that also had nothing nice to say about them. On top of that fighting to get money back because of the dissatisfaction of the quality and not being able to have decent customer service now the company calling and leaving voicemails and harassing people by coming to their homes when they have no business being there considering their job is "done" to try and intimidate people. I hope this saves someone the agony of dealing with this crap.

Brandon was communicative, responsive, reliable, and persistent. We have a long lateral out to the (Elmira) city sewer. He had been here in August and cleared the drain (or so we thought). We could see the water running freely in the cleanout port. But it had clogged again by January. He came out on Martin Luther King Jr. day, put the auger to it, and within 20 feet pulled a big clump of hair, wipes, a few tiny tree roots, and a plastic bag. The water ran out, but it was still running slow. A lesser repairman would have called it a day. Not Brandon. He put 150' of cable into it. Pulled out one more clump of goo. Still wasn't running. He got the water jet and ran it down the pipe. Hit something at the same 150' that even the water jet couldn't dislodge. Came back the next day with a second cable for the auger. It only took another ten feet for him to pull a massive plug out, with more wipes and hair and a light pull chain (who puts a light pull chain down the toilet??). The water whooshed out at that point, and no amount of flushing could back it up. I'm confident that Brandon has put our lateral back into proper working order. Good job, Brandon! Yelp is offering to let me upload photos. You really *don't* want to see photos. Trust me on this.

I had an appointment with Roto-Rooter yesterday that I scheduled online, and I was impressed with how quickly they called to confirm and finalize the details. The first technician arrived right on time and communicated clearly with an accurate ETA, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the service itself took a turn and became a pretty stressful experience. However, when I contacted Roto-Rooter while the technician was still onsite, they responded immediately. Supervisor Aaron came out and was absolutely phenomenal—he addressed the situation quickly, professionally, and with a sense of urgency that made a huge difference. Also, apologies to Faith at the call center—I know I probably wasn’t the easiest customer in that moment, but she handled things as best as possible under the circumstances. The restoration team followed up promptly, were extremely thorough, and did a fantastic job cleaning everything up. While the situation itself was stressful, the way it was handled—especially by Aaron and the restoration team—really stood out. Because of that, I would definitely use Roto-Rooter again.

My technician, Brennan was great! He explained everything to me thoroughly and was very kind and patient. I placed a same day call, and he made it to my house at the time scheduled. Brennan was able to address my problem, and fix it. I am very pleased with the service he provided, and Roto-Rooter. Roto-Rooter will be my "go to" plumbing service when needed from now on! Update (2 March 2025): Second service with this company was another great experience. Brandon was my technician and serviced the showers in my home. Brandon's 11 years of experience was very evident as he was able to quickly diagnose and fix the issues with my showers. He also took the extra time to explain everything to my wife and I. If Brandon shows up at your door for service, just know you will be in good hands.

Service was with a smile. They first sent out a guy to evaluate the problem & he gave details on how they would clean up the area. No other company has ever done this before. Let’s just say the regulars I had, are now fired & Roto-Rooter is now hired. The tech that actually did the job was also very polite and patient with me as I asked questions of another task, after completing the task at hand. He was very friendly, gave great suggestions, took the time out to email me additional information. I felt really comfortable and confident the job would get done correctly and in a good amount of time. Satisfied customer!

Roto Rooter with another win for me my tech Deion was awesome had a trap leak in my bathroom sink. Deion came in knew right away from my message I left what the issue was and went to work on top of that gave me quote on my water heater I needed to replace and took care of that to get me scheduled I said in my last review I was future customer and seriously if anyone reads this and you have emergency plumbing issues give Roto Rooter a call so far they have not failed me. Thank you guys for all the hard work and services that your techs provide

Deionne handled my emotional breakdown so well. His communication was thorough and answered EVERY question I had with grace. I really appreciate him being so patient. I'm NOT thrilled with Rotorooters service on my property. The work previously done was supposed to alleviate the backing up of sewer, yet the sewer is still backing up and now I'm having to go through the process of service all over again. Not sure if insurance will cover it the second time around in less than a years time.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! We had a large job…installed water softening system, replaced sump pump and installed a reverse osmosis system. Brandon did an amazing job! He is extremely knowledgeable and so patient in explaining everything we needed to know to keep the softener and ro operating properly. Brandon is the best plumber we have ever worked with over the past 35 years. We will continue to use Roto Rooter/Canton and Brandon in the future.
