Truly appreciate Trevor for his excellent customer and prompt service. He was very skilled and appreciate the late evening response.
Mike Vance from Roto-Rooter did a great job repairing leaking sink. Great response time and quality service. Mike also cleaned up the area after the repair. Thank you!
Very helpful was able to come out for an emergency visit in less than 30 minutes. Thanks Trevor
I paid high dollar service and got low dollar work. I won't use them again. I paid them to install new fixtures and it isn't flush or even sturdy. It looks worse than what I had in before. They are scammers who don't know what they are doing. I will be submitting a better business complaint again them.
Service call was a joke. "Plumber" knew almost nothing except "replace". No grasp of repair or mitigation. Entry level service and company.
I hired them to install new plumbing for a Duplex. Some work had been done incorrectly by another plumber. I spoke w/Cullen 3+ times about the job. I walked it w/him &explained it so there was no confusion. The job was; install 2 water lines/2 sewer lines (inside&outside), remove cast iron vents, install pvc, remove all waste, install vents for kitchen sink/washer,& 2 hose lines. I called 3times to confirm the job&asked that it be in the contract. Each time it was not done as I asked. I called again&emailed them to have it in writing. I hired them for $10,200. The work was to be done in 2+ days. They rushed, didn't check their work/clean up. They ONLY installed water/sewer for 1 unit. The piping that was installed was sloped incorrectly. They used multiple couplings 4 the sewer line instead of using a longer pipe, installed water pipes in the Block walls w/o insulation (not code), didn't strap the pipes, & left the wrong couplings on parts of the drain(not up to code). They incorrectly; bent pex, used the wrong fittings 4 the tub. I told Cullen about him not installing the 2nd sewer/water line&he lied to my face & said that it wasnt in the quote! After I spoke to him 3+times& got it in writing! They didn't cap any of the lines/test the system for leaks. They charged my card for 95% of the balance b4 ANY work was done. We agreed on 50% up front & the rest upon completion. That is fraud. I asked them not to charge the card again & they stated that they wouldn't but they lied & still did. That is fraud. Their workers do not know the code & are operating w/o supervision. I spoke with Mike(mgmt) & explained the issues. He met with me at the site& saw the issues. He said that they would "try" to get a more experienced worker on the job sometime next week. I had an inspection scheduled for Monday! I asked for a refund b/c I do not trust them to do the work correctly. Mike had an attitude b/c of this & said that I wasted HIS time for having him come out to see. 0/5stars!
I had an issue with the water continuing to run after the toilet was flushed, which could not be controlled by turning off water to the bowl so it ran for more than 24 hours. The 2nd bathroom had a similar issue but the water could be cut off. The plumber arrived to give an estimate, which took nearly an hour and a half. After an hour he asked if there was another toilet in the house in which I showed the 3rd toilet. This took another 30 minutes before he came with 3 estimates ranging from $654-$2,999. This covered replacing 2 toilets for $2,999, or replacing 3 fill valves and a angle stop in one for $982 or repair the angle stop and adjust the fill valves for $654. It was not until I agreed on one of the options that the water was turned off. I saw the plumber with a shovel and tools in the middle of the yard, I went outside and asked what he was about to do and he said turn the water off once he located the water turn off. I advised the water meter was on the curb by the power pole, he stopped and went to the meter and turned the water off. He was there for about 3 1/2 hours doing the work. (9-12:45) The last issue was after leaving, the hot water was at a trickle so I notified the company around 1:05. The plumber called at 4:15 to advise he was 30 minutes away but remembered he forgot to turn the hot water heater back on and asked if I could go turn it back on. I asked if he could document that he asked me to turn it back on in case anything went wrong. He apologized and because it was late in the day on a Friday, I knew he did not want to come back. For what I was charged, and sitting there all day, I should have received a follow up call from him or the company.
I will never hire this place again. The initial charged was $90 to look at the problem. Trevor Thomas was at my house for less than an hour. He looked at a few things, quoted me a price of $504, which was ok because I wanted my issue resolved. He comes back after five minutes of digging and says that my problem is I need my septic tank to be pumped. He then explains that they do not do the service and he will knock a little off the price. He dug up a piece of my lawn then charged $402. I expected to pay more for the inital charge to look at the issue because it is Sunday, however, $312 to dig a for 5 minutes and tell me you cannot do anything to help?!?! Never again! The issue wasn't just that you all did not have septic pumping services. That was only one of the problems and that was only a issue because the women who answer my call mentioned it could be my problem and I also said that I thought it was the issue, so why send someone who couldn't pump my septic tank. The bigger problem is you all told me it was $90 to come out and find out what was wrong on a Sunday. Trevor Thomas come out and told me it is clogged and it will be $504 to unclog. Then digs a hole and tells me the septic tanks needs to be pumped but still charges me $312. He did not do anything. The $90 was supposed to be to find what was wrong, which he told me he did and he was going to fixed the issue for $504. Then that changed to he couldn't do anything about it and still changed me $312. Unless you are going to refund my $312 there is no reason for me to call your customer service and I will not be hiring roto-rooter again.
We had to use your on-call service the evening of Sunday, May 26, 2019. Michael was the technician that came out. Our master bedroom and bathroom had gone for a swim in water that backed up through shower/tub, toilet, and sink. After explaining what happened, he immediately knew we had a clog in the line and fixed us up in no time. He was so professional and gave us great tips on how to prevent clogs in the future (we were using flushable wipes - NEVER AGAIN). We can't thank Michael enough for the service he provided. He was very patient and allowed me to fill up the washing machine to allow it to drain off and make sure we were in the clear with water backing up again. Thank you Michael and Roto-Rooter for taking care of us when one of the other local companies in town failed us. Fast forward - February 2026 We had a great experience with Roto-Rooter's on-call service yet again, thanks to their technician Morgan. Our septic lid was completely stuck! Years of dirt and sealing had it practically fused shut. Morgan didn’t give up for a second. He carefully worked around the edges, tried multiple tools, and put in some serious elbow grease to get it open without damaging anything. What really stood out was his patience and determination. It would’ve been easy to give up, but he kept at it until the job was done right. He also explained what he was doing along the way and made sure everything was secure before leaving. He successfully cleared all clogs! If you get Morgan as your tech, you’re in excellent hands. Professional, hardworking, and truly committed to solving the problem.
I hired Roto Rooter Plumbing to fix the low water pressure at my home, but I ended up regretting it. The plumber installed a new prv, ball valve, and swing check and it did not correct the problem. Water pressure to the house did not increase. It was clear he didn't know what he was doing. I called Roto Rooter to come back out the next day since the problem wasn't fixed. They came out and suggested there could be another problem, but there was no way to know unless the plumber dug up my yard. (More or less trial and error). I declined. By this time, I had lost total confidence in them. It's frustrating to PAY for a service and the problem NOT being fixed. Therefore, I employed another plumbing company. They came out diagnosed and fixed the problem right away. I was told I had a second PVR that needed replacing. They located the second PRV and replaced it. Now I have the correct water pressure!!!!! Why didn't Roto Rooter know I had a second PVR if they are in the plumbing business?!!!! Overall, I'm thoroughly disappointed with the quality of Roto Rooter Plumbing. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking for reliable plumbing services. Save yourself the headache and find a more competent plumbing Business.
I want to say how awesome working with Roto-Rooter was. Has a pretty big problem that then turned into a major problem when the 1 collapse in my kitchen drain line became 4.... But the techs they sent to my house, Anthony and Brandon and the other 2s who's names i don't remember were awesome! They answered every silly question I had when I didn't understand what a part was, or the direction we needed to go cause it just seemed like everything wrong in a concrete slab drain pipe went wrong at once. But working from home and starting a new job I was worried about noise level among other things, but man aside from the tile hammer the first day, could barely hear them! And that isnt a fault in the tile hammer, work was kind enough to give me off that day since we knew it would be loud! But they really came in clutch and helped me with a massive problem I was having and prevented me from spending a bunch of money just to have the same problem again! 100% the entire team I worked with was fantastic! Can't recommend enough! PS: before someone says they didn't restore my concrete out front I requested they not as I plan to remove that walk way, makes it easier if its precut!
Greetings! Thank you so much for promptly attending to my urgent call Sat, Feb 7 at 8pm. I was shocked to find water draining from the ceiling of my master bedroom. I called around but Rotor-Rooters was the only company able & willing to respond. Trevor arrived and kindly greeted me at the door wearing shoe booties (which I reallyappreciated). He asked to see the issue & immediately wanted to gain access to the attic. He spotted the leak within a minute. He diagnosed the problem (squirrel gnawing on my water pipe creating a hole in the pipe), provided an estimate of the cost (which was very reasonable), performed the work, collected the payment and emailed the invoice receipt before leaving the premises. He was in & out within 45 mins or so. He was very friendly engaging in casual conversation with me as he worked. I pray I never encounter this ordeal again but if I do...I will specifically ask for Trevor. ~ Again, thank you ~
Today is Valentine’s Day and I felt bad for calling somebody out for a backed up toilet and shower on this special day. But I called Roto-Rooter and Cullen Sutherland came to my rescue. After assessing the problem, he went straight to work…And what seemed like minutes … he had everything taken care of! I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter in Augusta , Georgia who also services my area in Aiken, South Carolina. It started this morning at 8 AM when I talked to Miss Alexis… Who was such a delight on the phone. She actually heard what I was saying and said I will send somebody out there today! (In a very cheerful voice I might add) How wonderful it is that you can call somebody and actually get a real live person on the phone. My whole experience was wonderful! When you are a senior citizen, those little things are the things that mean the most. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me! Jan B Aiken, SC
Mike was an awesome help showing up on the weekend. I had pipes that werent connected properly so waste was coming out in the back yard. The tech who came out to look and give the estimate went ahead and called a clean up crew so the plumbers could do their work. The clean up crew said he'd come the next day and did the work and told me to call the plumber. I called Roto-Rooter and was originally scheduled 4 days from then to get it fixed, but they were eventually able to listen to my concern about not having water for 4 days. Mike is quick, efficient, and professional. The call center needs some help though. Originally wouldnt listen to my concern and was quick to make sure to add on pricing for after hours even though they advertise 24/7 emergency services. Was told it had to be a full day operation and Mike did it by himself in less than 3 hours. Hes an awesome employee and I hope they take care of him.
I recently had a main water line rupture and I called roto rooter for repairs. Cale was the dispatcher and the main interface I had. He was professional, courteous, and very quick to answer the call and get the help my family needed to fix the issue. The technicians Trevor, Brandon. And Morgan were experts in thier craft. They handled the issues that arised with professionalism, and were not afraid to contact and keep me updated on the repairs. Furthermore, they were amazing in the care and speed of the repair to get our water back safely, and rapidly. They also cleaned up so well, it was as if they were never there. These gentlemen worked with pride and professionalism, which was a great reflection of themselves, and roto rooter overall. Every single one of them treated me as if I were family. I highly recommend thier services.
