Roto Rooter did an excellent job! They were professional and took time to explain their findings and recommendations. The were timely, worked efficiently, and cleaned up when finished. I’ve used them in the past and will do so again if needed.

Roto Rooter responded to our request for service, septic tank service, in a very timely and professional manner. We called on Friday night and the service was performed on a Saturday which was extremely helpful for our situation. The technician, Aye, was very knowledgeable, efficient and personable. I would definitely use Roto Rooter again for my plumbing needs.

Had a great experience with Roto Rooter today. Technician Markues Montalvo was friendly, knowledgeable, and right on time. He was honest about the situation, very thorough with the inspection, and explained everything clearly. I really appreciated that there was no charge just to come out and inspect. It’s hard to find service like this anymore — highly recommend!

Terrible customer service & terrible work!! I paid $250 a PREMIUM RATE for them to replace a WAX RING on my toilet. When Tim arrived he was rude, and damaged my toilet in the process of replacing the wax ring because he was in such a hurry. My toilet wouldn't stop running after he touched it, so I asked him to repair it, and he told me to call and speak to a supervisor. I called and spoke to Robert the same day who promised to have someone come out first thing the next morning and fix it, but that didn't happen. After numerous promises to come back out and fix it no one called or came out. I was forced to call another plumbing company who came out and fixed my issue that Roto Rooter caused. I tried reaching out to Paul Smith the owner of Roto Rooter to make things right and he didn't care either. DO NOT USE ROTO ROOTER IN HUNTSVILLE, AL!!!! THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR PROPERTY AND THEY DON'T TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! I WOULD GIVE THEM A ZERO STAR RATING IF I COULD!!!

Horrible service!!!! If you cannot do your job correctly DO NOT DO IT PERIOD! I have spent over $1000 in a week for them to clean the line from the sink to the grease trap and they still hadn't cleaned the line. The young man that came to do it the last time had a very bad attitude. I am very upset and will definitely not be using them again.

I had a very poor experience with this Roto Rooter. I purchased my home in Huntsville in 2021. During the inspection process, the inspector identified that the water pressure in the house was very low and the Pressure Regulator Valve (PRV) would need to be replaced. The seller and I agreed that he would reduce the price and I could have it repaired after purchasing the home. Shortly after closing, I had Roto Rooter come out to replace the PRV. The plumber came out and replaced the PRV, however the issue was not resolved at all - the pressure was just as low immediately after the replacement as it was before. The Roto Rotter plumber who was there agreed and said that this was odd. He poked around the house for another 30 minutes and eventually concluded that "that must just be how it comes in from the city". I was disappointed because that meant the house I just purchased would always have this very frustrating low water pressure. So taking the plumber at his word, I carry on for a year and half living with the very low water pressure and just chalking it up to "well Huntsville utilities is terrible". Earlier this year, I turned the property into a rental property. Immediately upon move in the tenants began complaining about the low water pressure. I told them repeatedly that "there is nothing we can do" as that is what I had been led to believe from the Roto Rooter plumber. After a while I gave in and decided to call another plumber and get a second opinion. The plumber comes out and is positive it is the PRV. I tell him it was recently replaced and provide him the receipt from Roto Rooter. He is so sure that it is the PRV he tells me if replacing it does not fix the issue, there is no charge. I agree and he replaces the PRV. Immediately the difference in water pressure is NIGHT AND DAY. Everybody was thrilled that the water pressure issue was fixed, but I asked the plumber what happened the first time it was replaced. He said the the original plumber (Roto Rooter) must not have known what he was doing, installed the PRV incorrectly, or not changed it at all. I was glad that the issue was fixed but very frustrated because I had been mislead by Roto Rooter. If the tenants had not kept complaining about it, we could have went on for years with very low water pressure believing what Roto Rooter told us "there is nothing we can do". Afterwards, I contacted Roto Rooter customer service but did not get any resolution. I end up getting transferred to corporate. I provide receipts from both Roto Rooter and the second plumber who fixed the issue as well as before and after videos. Corporate essentially tells me tough luck and that is the end of the story. I would not use this Roto Rooter! Inexperienced plumbers and no accountability.

Roto rooter scammed my widowed grandmother on a fixed income. One of the employees who arrived at the house told us the city wouldn't fix the broken grinder or drain the holding tank. On Monday, we find out the city does it all for free. The employee at roto rooter tried to quote us at $5,000 for the grinder and pump after we paid $400 for the tank drainage. When an employee lies in order to make a sale, it's deceptive trade practice. It was completely unethical to speak on a subject as if it was fact when he had no knowledge or accuracy on what the city would provide. We noticed there was $50 off coupon on their website. Upon speaking to the owner about a potential refund/partial recompense, he spoke over me and hung up. I never had the opportunity to ask for the $50 coupon. Based on the attitude of the owner, we believe he is okay with his employees being dishonest. Beware of roto rooter. Update - the owner did hang up on me. Upon calling back, the receptionist said she would let him know we were expecting a call to finish the conversation and never received one.My grandmother and I would never lie about this type of situation. We also have a neighbor who sent this Hi We are out of town but I see where it looks like some people are working at your septic/maybe grinder pump. In case you didn’t know, I wanted to let you know that the city takes care of anything outside for our sewer/grinder pumps. They have a phone number for emergencies as well and I can share that with you if you need it just let me know. Beware of rotor rooter liars

Something stinks to high Heaven! Beware!! Twice they put faulty parts on the same pipe. My house flooded twice. They admitted they put a defective part on both times. First time my insurance paid including a whopping $5000 for them to dry out my house. A few months later the replacement part failed again and my house was flooded for the 2nd time. This time they told me they were not responsible and blamed the manufacturer of the faulty part for the 2nd time!! They want to charge me $5000 to dry my house out again!! The parts they are putting on were all part of a pex fittings class action settlement years ago for dezincification. There is NO reason on earth they should still be using the same parts made by this company and it's hard to believe I'm the only one out there they have done this to. 1.) Why didn't they warn me both times that the parts had a high probability of dezincification which could result in tens of thousands of dollars of damage to your home? 2.). Knowing there was a high probability the part would corrode, why didn't they return at a given time to inspect their work? 3.) There are plenty of the same fitting available that are "non corrosive" that they could have used. Why didn't they? One can only assume they liked getting $5000 to dry out your house over and over and over. I want to know how many people in Huntsville they have done this to. If you are also a victim, please email me at wells6384@outlook.com

I wish I could put a ZERO- totally all about sales. We had two toilets that needed new valves to start. I was quoted over $500 PER toilet and he was "giving me a deal, 2 for just over $700! I didn't need a whole new toilet! We bought our own parts at Lowes for $15! Then he took me outside to check water pressure. He said we had a leak and did show me the part we needed and that alone was almost $800! Thank god I got a 2nd opinion. The other company quoted me $460 for ALL 3 jobs....and only $250 for the outside pipe that had a leak if we decided to fix the toilets ourselves. Even if we didn't fix the toilets ourselves, for those together (2 valves) it still was aprox $250! The other company also went under our crawl space to check the leak and make sure they knew exactly what was needed. They were very professional and I did not feel like they were just giving me a sales pitch! I may be female but I am not an idiot. I feel bad for those who get scammed by Roto-Rooter especially those that may not think of getting another quote or feel they are in need right then and there and have no choice. We aren't talking a hundred dollar difference or so, we are talking hundreds!! It makes me sick. I am shocked they haven't been reported they certainly are scamming people and it's very sad to me they would even consider being this way. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Honestly, I’d give 10 stars. I had been without water since yesterday, and at first, I brushed it off, thinking the nearby construction was the cause. But when the faucets were still dry this morning, worry started to creep in. After calling the water utility and hearing that the problem was on our end, I spent a long time searching for the leak—finally finding water seeping out near the meter. I reached out to Roto-Rooter, and that’s when Riley arrived. He stepped out of the truck with a warm, genuine smile that immediately eased my stress. In the freezing cold, he knelt down and dug through the ground with his hands, determined to find the source of the problem. He went out of his way to get rust‑resistant parts so the repair would last, and he worked with such care and integrity that it honestly moved me. He didn’t leave until everything was fully restored, checking and rechecking to make sure the water was flowing properly again. He even gave us a discount—something he didn’t have to do but did anyway. Before he left, he wished us a blessed day, and it felt sincere. Thanks to Riley, we finally have water again. After a stressful, uncomfortable day, his kindness and professionalism turned everything around. If five stars is the limit, then he deserves double.

I don't want to leave a bad review, but my house was having drainage issues, so we thought the septic tank must be full. They came to the house and pumped out the tank. The guy who did the work said the tank wasn't the problem—that the issue was likely inside the house. So, I called the same company again, and the next day a different worker returned to clear the pipes. However, when he reopened the drain cover, he realized that the main pipe leading to the septic tank was broken. He said, "The other worker didn't tell me he broke it." Obviously, I thought, "He's not going to admit that he fixed one thing but broke something else." It is abundantly clear that the tank wasn't the problem, because—as you can see—the area isn't wet; I had already been dealing with the drainage issue for a week, so if the tank had been the actual problem, the first worker would have told me. I clearly remember him calling me over to show me that the tank wasn't the issue. My mistake was not noticing that the main pipe was broken either before or after he closed up the septic tank. It cost $988 to pump out the tank, and the subsequent visit cost $1,300 to repair the pipe and clear the clogged drain.

If I could put zero stars I would. They came out to repair a leak. Which they said they did. Fast forward 3 weeks after the renovation including new subfloor, tile, and drywall from a great Reno company I went to clean the dust out of my shower from the tile work etc. The water is still leaking through the floor down into the first floor like nothing was fixed. THOUSANDS of dollars and WEEKS of my life were wasted on their incompetence. Work is going to have to be re-done and they may have put more damage into my house. "Customer Service" is a joke. They don't have anyone available to come look at it. I honestly don't want them to touch anything else, but I don't know if my insurance will be willing to let me switch plumbers since it is after hours. Would and will not recommend to anyone. STAY AWAY.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Terrible service. Our main drain was clogged so they took out our toilet to find our main drain (and charged us extra to do so). They then dug a hole in our front yard (did not fill it back in) and "fixed" our issue. Told us we had a 6 month warranty. 1 month later, we started having the same problem so they came back and "fixed" it again. 2 weeks later, same issue PLUS the toilet they resealed leaked all into our bathroom floor. We requested a supervisor who came out and told us that their "6 month warranty" is really only a one time freebie and we would have to pay for anything else they do. We are much worse off after they came than we were in the first place! This establishment is an embarrassment and their service is laughable. RUN AWAY!!

My house was built in the 60s and has had who knows how many "customizations" over the years, so getting things cleared up can be an ordeal. I've had good service from these guys twice - once when my laundry drain clogged a year or so ago, and then again recently when my kitchen and whole house lines clogged. The best thing, for me, is the fact that they have on-call evening hours. I work all the time, and can't just take time off for appointments, so being able to call at 6:30-7 pm to get someone out to the house is very helpful. The drain-clearing apparently requires two people, and there's only one officially on-call, but both times I've had to call them, they've contacted a co-worker and gotten someone else out to help.

I highly recommend Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Huntsville. This team responded immediately to an emergency plumbing problem on one of the coldest days in January in Huntsville. The plumber showed up early and surveyed the area ahead of time, mapped out a plan, and stayed until he was able to fix my problem. He also offered several service tips and recommendations specific to my property to prevent future problems. The serviceman was highly professional, knowledgeable, courteous, respectfully, and sympathetic to our problem and it showed in the work he did. Roto-Rooter will be the first and only company I call if I ever need plumbers in the future.
