Alex and his associates’ service was outstanding. They were responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I had to have the sewer pipe under my house replaced. I hired Rooter man because Alex Sounded like he was knew what he was doing, and in fact he did because of his extensive experience with this, and he was reasonably priced. He explained in detail what the solution would entail and gave me a timeline that they stuck to. His chief associate was very pleasant, and I immediately felt comfortable with the crew. They were clean, quick, honest and trustworthy! Best of all Alex and his associates were a delight to work with.
I am so grateful for Rooterman of Silver Spring, MD in sending Mr. Zack to troubleshoot stagnant water and leakage issues I was experiencing in my home. He was timely, professional and even allowed me to serve him while he was serving my home's needs to prevent further water damage to our home. Moving forward, based on yesterday's excellent outcomes, should I need to call this company I ONLY WANT ZACK to come to my home and assist our family. Thank you so much for your professionalism and expertise!
I had a major water service line leak between my 1940s home and the city meter, which led to a $4,000 water bill from WSSC. I called Rooter Man and was immediately greeted by Katie, who was friendly, efficient, and quickly scheduled my appointment with Adam. Adam arrived the next day, right on time and with a reassuring attitude that immediately put me at ease. Within 15 minutes, he had diagnosed the issue, provided a clear quote, and committed to starting the repair the very next day. True to his word, Adam showed up on time and got to work. While the job looked complex to me, I trusted his expertise—and he delivered high-quality work built to last. I’m incredibly grateful for Adam’s professionalism and attention to detail, and for Katie’s kindness and good humor, which made an overwhelming situation a little easier to handle. Thank you both—you’re truly appreciated.
What a rip off I wasn't home guy came in to snake a drain my wife ended up with $825.00. That's probably triple what it should cost.
Thought he was a bit expensive. Charged me 725 to take the toilet off drain the line then put a camera down the drain. Never again
After purchasing our house, our joy knew no bounds. The house, dating back to 1979, could be considered somewhat aged. However, just two months into our new home, we encountered a sewage issue. I attempted a DIY fix, following the path many do by consulting YouTube, but my efforts proved futile. It was then that we discovered our septic tank was filled to capacity. We located a small access point for the septic tank and promptly reached out to Rooter-Man. Their team not only cleaned the septic tank through this limited access but also recommended that we locate the main access point and maintain our pipes. Despite my efforts to find blueprints for the house, my search in both the house and city offices proved fruitless. Two months later, our septic tank reached capacity once again. I promptly contacted Rooter-Man, and they responded without delay. Expressing doubt that the tank could fill so rapidly, they used a camera to investigate the issue. Their inspection revealed that the perforated underground pipes leading from the septic tank were obstructed by invasive tree roots, blocking the release of water from the septic tank. To remedy the situation, Rooter-Man brought in an excavator, carved a path from the septic tank to the water release pipe, and uncovered the root of the problem. They skillfully cleared the roots, cleaned the pipes, and installed a new, more substantial tank release door. Their attention to detail extended to filling the excavator holes, leveling the ground, and leaving the area spotless. The result was nothing short of perfection, all at an excellent price. A year later, I once again enlisted their help, as we were anticipating guests the following day, and the basement line became blocked. I made the call, and within a mere two hours, their team was on-site. They efficiently cleared the pipe and even provided me with a video showcasing a significant buildup of toilet paper within. This incident brought to light that we had failed to instruct our children to use a trash bin for disposing of toilet paper, as they were accustomed to simply tossing it into the toilet. It underscored the importance of clear communication, rather than making assumptions. Fortunately, the Rooter-Man team acted swiftly, sparing us from considerable embarrassment. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Rooter-Man for their invaluable assistance.
I have used Rooter Man a few times over the past several years, and have always had a pleasant experience. However, today's experience was 5-Star and without a doubt warrants a review. I called Rooter Man at about 8:30am on a snowy Tuesday morning seeking help with a clogged main line. The clog was bad enough that sewer water was backing up into my utility room. I half expected Rooter Man to not be able to come out the same day as it was snowing and the roads weren't exactly in the best of shape. However, the lady on phone said that they would be able to make it out later in the afternoon. No problem there, I ust wanted to get the clogged main line cleared. Right around the promised time, Adam arrived. He had been to my house before a little more than two years ago to help with the same problem. As soon as he arrived, I explained the situation and let Adam know that last time he was here he had to remove the toilet in the basement to gain access to the main line. However, he said that he remembered seeing a main line cleanout in my front yard and he would try that first. So out he went, shovel in hand digging through the snow to find the clean out - and find it he did. This alone was worth every penny I paid - no need to remove and replace a toilet. Shortly after, Adam came and told me all was clear. Adam even took the time to explain the cleanout, what he did, and had me listen the sound of water running througth the main line to show that it was indeed now clear. As he was leaving, I pulled out my wallet to offer a tip - after all, Adam had so far remembered something from two years ago, shoveled snow and spent almost an hour outside in the freezing cold. But, he politley refused the tip. Rooter Man, and Adam, were top notch. I recommend them very highly, and I have absolutely no complaints and will absolutely hire Rooter Man again for any of my pliumbing needs.
They had a guy come out the morning after I called them because my septic had a blockage and snaked out multiple access points. After a few hours of working at it in 100 degree heat the guy tells me the problem is in the distribution box and they will need to dig it up in order to access the problem. He couldn't fix it on the spot but we are going to make arrangements to get the problem resolved. When he went to leave he was drenched in sweat from the couple of hours of work he just put in but he didn't discuss what I owed him. He told me there was no charge for snaking all my pipes because he was unable to fix the problem. He did what he could and would have been justified in charging me but he declined. That's a level of business ethics I did not expect and have rarely encountered anywhere from any type of business. I generally have a hard time trusting anyone who gets paid based on repairs to systems they diagnose which I don't fully understand. That said, whatever he tells me or quotes me moving forward I will trust 100% is fair and in my best interest. This is how business should be done and I'm happy to pay a premium for integrity.
I requested someone come to give me an estimate on a garbage disposal issue. Someone called the same day I filled out the online form and scheduled an appointment for someone to come out. 5 minutes before they were supposed to show up i got a phone call from the tech saying they were in Arlington and wanted to see exactly what the issue was before coming all the way out. I described my problem and he said it may be better if he called the company and they sent someone closer out. I said ok. 3 hours later i haven't heard anything, so i called the technician back, he requested that I call his main office back. I called the main office back and they asked me to call another company because no one wanted to do it. I was mindblown. I have never had that happen before. What a waste of my time. If you don't offer the service take the option off your website. if i'm out of your service area, adjust your website. I am so pissed, now i have to find someone else. Horrible customer service avoid.
04/2016 A few days ago I called to schedule an appointment to have some plumbing issues looked at in my home. The gentleman ("Adam") was very courteous/professional and patiently answered my concerns. The appointment was scheduled a few days later and the service rep (Shaun) arrived on time, verified the concerns addressed over the phone, then asked me to walk him through the house and duplicate/show him the issues. He then gave me candid suggestions/most cost efficient corrective choices in a prioritized manner. His remedy for fixing the "rattling" pipes turned out to be the cheapest solution. Shaun then performed the repairs in a reasonable time frame (while cleaning up after himself) at a very fair price. His professionalism and demeanor was quite refreshing compared to the many "Pros" I have had at my home for many years of past. I am so sorry I used "the other guy" for my past plumbing needs. Nice job Shaun...you have a life-time customer! Gary G. Springdale MD
Adam, the Rooter-Man, came to the rescue! The homeowner warranty program we bought and used failed our routine rootering job request. Once they couldn't could complete the task, they left our house saying the the problem will require a different routing tip or possibly having to excavate outside the house. The plumber then reported to our warranty service that it was a pipe leak thus closing out the claim and we were out $65 and a tip. The kitchen sink was still retaining water so I don't know what leak they claimed. This unfortunate situation occurred after waiting 48-hours for service. We found Rooter-Man's online website, submitted a ticket the same night, and the company promptly called us at 8:15a.m. the next day. At 9:15a the same morning, Adam showed up to the house. He finished the job within an hour, and even gave my wife and I advise so we didn't have to call the company again regarding the same situation. Customer for life right here! Thank you Adam, the Rooter-Man!
The service and technician was top notch, friendly and quick but thorough !! We've used them twice, and I can confidently say we found our match! Not only did they arrive quickly & assess the issue with ease, but they did not overcharge or try to sell us on some unneeded service and found the quickest and best fix to our issues. In fact, the technician even warned us against using certain products as they would exacerbate the issue in the future, and told us the best way to address it when it happens again. When we had bidets installed, they ensured that everything worked to our satisfaction before leaving. I felt as if they were happy to help and explain the process to us, as I ask 101 questions every time!! They left everything spotless and working in spectacular fashion :) I only wish we could use them more, but they keep us in great shape!!! For affordable, friendly and professional service, I highly recommend you try them!!!
Called my regular plumber and told him that the water from my washer which empties into the utility sink was coming out through the downstairs toilet. He said it sounded like a mainline blockage and I really needed a rooter guy. He recommended Rooter-Man. So glad he did. Since it wasn't an emergency I called and made an appointment for Adam to come over a few days later. He arrived pretty much on time (was a bit late but called to let me know so that's fine.) He had to remove the toilet and using what I would call a super rooter worked for almost an hour grinding up the tree roots in the main line. After testing to make sure everything was ok, he replaced the toilet and cleaned up the mess. Although it wasn't cheap, it cost less than I had feared and the online coupon helped a lot. Adam was professional and extremely competent and I would not hesitate to use Rooter-Man again.
Rooter-man did an awesome job at my house. I had a clogged sewer pipe under my basement floor, and he quickly cleared the blockage and solved the problem. Here is why he deserves the five star rating: -He took my call on the first ring, and made an appointment to see me the same afternoon. He did not charge extra for same day service. -He showed up 15 minutes early. (Perhaps the first tradesman to ever show up early at my house) -We was neat and efficient, and left no dirt, water, nor pipe mess behind. -He didn't try to upsell me -Bonus points: he cleared the drain of shop sink, for no additional charge. Adam is a super nice guy, very customer focused, and does great work.
Rooter-man to the rescue again! This is the second time we had to call him for help. The previous occupants of this house must have flushed a ton of "flushable" wipes down the toilet. (PSA--don't flush them!) The sewer line backed up into our basement. Rooter-man pulled out piles of cloth material. The drain backed up a second time yesterday. Rooter-man came out on the weekend to work on it. He sawed open a section of pipe and stuck a camera 100 ft into the line to clear it. Really nice guy--highly recommended. Hope we won't need to call him again any time soon.
