Mike Genson and crew were polite, professional, and thorough in maintaining our plumbing. We have been long time clients of Roadrunner Plumbing, always excellent and expert services rendered with each visit. We recommend their services to all!

Had a wonderful experience with this company. They responded quickly and were very efficient. When the tech had to come back out they worked quickly and came out when it was convenient for me. Mike was very kind along with his assistant that came along with him. Overall I would highly recommend.

Scheduled an appointment and they came out same day to repair a leaking water/ice valve behind my fridge. Angel, the repairmen, and the customer service office was extremely helpful and communicative. I wasn't home and they were able to access the property and fix the issue. Awesome service and will be using them again.

Was quoted over $7,000 to replace and clear lines. Brought in Cambliss Plumbing that is also local and did everything in less than 2 hours and was told it cold take 2days buy Chris. No longer getting any business from us. New unit in place with 7 yr warranty and told only ask 2yrs.

While doing other work, they knocked off a sensor for my A/C drip pan and quoted me ~$300 to replace, why not just re-install the thing you just broke? Another time, when going up and down my stairs and attic, they tracked in mud all over the carpet (they wore shoe covers but then just kept the shoe cover on while walking outside in the rain/mud) and dented my walls in at least 5 spots with equipment. I asked about, at least, cleaning the carpets and they wanted me to "schedule service" first before getting someone to clean the carpet. The techs are nice but man sometimes I wonder about the leadership of this place.

Waited to write this review to make sure the AC unit was working properly through the rest of this brutal summer/fall. One Saturday during our 100-degree summer (8/24/2024) I noticed the AC was not cooling. It would come on but was not very cold. I called the company that originally installed the unit, and they couldn't get out for about 2 weeks. I then remembered that my plumbing company recently opened the HVAC side of their business, so on a whim I called them up. They sent Robert M out that day to diagnose the problem. I was so appreciative! He was great! Very patient, informative and thorough. I appreciate his demeanor and the time he spent looking into the issue. I believe he was new to the company, and they made a smart choice with him. Great customer service. My evap coil needed replaced (and he noticed a troubling dent in my outside line). He investigated my warranty and found out the parts were covered as the unit is only 5 years old. We planned to touch base that Monday. Monday the company communicated that they were trying to find the replacement parts. Aliza and Cathy in the office were very helpful and I knew they were on top of it. I did call several times to get clarification on the quote, check the status and to schedule the appointment and I never felt like I was a bother. The office staff were friendly and professional. They were able to find the part and work out the contract with the dealer and get me on the schedule for the next day 8/27/2024. Robert M and Andrew T showed up with the part. They worked with my schedule, and they did a late day install for me. The HOTTEST part of the day. I know it was brutal up in that attic, but they were all smiles. They informed me of the steps they were doing, what they were checking, etc. I found them to be very knowledgeable, polite and efficient. Don't let Andrew's baby face fool you, he's been doing this a while and knows his stuff! They installed the new coil and fixed the dented line outside. I have done several reviews (as they are my pluming company of choice as well), I will always say that I find their prices to be on the high side (maybe this is something they can work on) ...but I also realize that I am paying for their expertise, knowledge and the great customer experience. To me that makes up for some companies that will charge less but their service is terrible (no call/no show, can't get ahold of anyone, attitude, shoddy work, etc.). I hope they realize the customer focus and skillful service is what sets them apart. Please don't lose that (do they read these reviews!?)! I do refer / recommend Roadrunner Plumbing (and now air) to all my friends and colleagues.

I recently called Roadrunner to unclog an AC drain line. I was able to get an appointment next day and the technician quickly identified which interior drain line was causing the issue and then told us the price would be $780 to clear the blockage. That is an *astronomical* amount for a straightforward task. After confirming that was indeed the price to unclog a single AC drain line, we declined additional service and asked to just pay the diagnostic fee. The technician told us that he had driven a long distance and that the diagnostic fee was not worth his time so he changed the price to $388. Still an absurd amount, but we paid it because it was too late to get another company out before the weekend. The technician still tried to add the diagnostic fee onto the $388 charge but had to be reminded by my wife that the diagnostic fee was waived if we proceed with repairs. I am confident the technician was aware of this. I've used Roadrunner before and know that they are generally expensive. However, for comparison, in the past I was charged around $880 for two technicians running new drain line and several hours of labor. The invoice for past work included a detailed invoice with actual charge codes and detailed descriptions of work performed. I was provided the invoice automatically and did not have to request it. I was satisfied with the visit and service provided. The invoice for the AC drain line just called it 'incidental repairs' and included an apparent placeholder charge code. I had to request the invoice specifically because it was not provided after the service call. The drain clearance took around 10 minutes. I hesitate to make accusations (and on the chance I'm wrong I don't want to name the technician), but the entire visit felt like the charges were completely made up to see if they could trick my wife, who was the only one home during the service call, to pay an absurd amount for a simple repair. When we pushed back, the price quickly dropped by $400 and there were still efforts to add the waived diagnostic charge onto our bill. Not to mention the comments about the diagnostic fee not being "worth it" for the drive the technician made to a ZIP code Roadrunner advertises service for. The whole visit left a bad taste in my mouth. We should have just stuck with the diagnostic fee. In the end we paid what we paid, and it was a willing exchange of payment for a service provided afterwards. But I hope this review helps someone before they call Roadrunner for services.

My AC coil went out — something clearly covered under the warranty — and the nightmare began. They sent out a contractor (Extreme Air Experts) who didn’t even bother hooking up a single gauge before telling me I needed an entirely new unit. Huge red flag. Then he tried padding the invoice with unnecessary charges. I asked First American to send a different contractor — they refused. I was stuck in limbo for two weeks. Eventually, they offered me a cash payout to handle it myself. The offer? $515.00. That’s supposed to cover labor, a new coil, and 13 pounds of refrigerant at $100/pound. Absolutely insulting. I’m DONE with First American. Their contractor vetting is questionable at best, and their customer service is slow, unhelpful, and dismissive. Save yourself the frustration. Thankfully, I found San Antonio Roadrunner Plumbing & AC. Chris, Roberto, and Joey were professional, honest, and fast. They got my AC running like new again at a fair price. I will never waste another minute with First American — Roadrunner is who I trust from now on. I’ve been using Roadrunner Plumbing & Air for about 8 months now, and they continue to impress me every time. Most recently, my AC compressor went out over the weekend. I called them, and they were incredibly prompt in getting someone out to my home. From start to finish, they did an outstanding job. I was expecting a very expensive repair, but their team immediately checked the warranty on my compressor and ended up saving me a significant amount of money. That level of honesty and effort really stood out to me. Their labor costs and refrigerant replacement were also very fair. A special shoutout to technician David Cowan—he was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The entire crew was great to work with. Because of experiences like this, I’ve decided to move away from using a home warranty company and will continue to rely on Roadrunner for all my AC and plumbing needs. They are trustworthy, knowledgeable, and truly go above and beyond. I highly recommend giving them a call—you won’t be disappointed. God bless the entire team at Roadrunner Plumbing & Air!

Well darn! I should have read the reviews before calling Roadrunner Pluming back to my house to find the water leak that we have or should I say had cause my husband found it and fixed it. I will say their plumbers are very professional and I even enjoy their cute little bios that's they text you - very nice touch. That amounts to nothing really if you don't complete the job that is paid for. They did a water leak inspection and charged us $350 to tell us that the leak was likely on our water softer line somewhere. So we called Puragan who quickly came out next day and took a look. They also charged me $0 dollars. It wasn't their lines but they found a line that Roadrunner did not and bam! Guess what we found? Wet ground and eventually the leak. It was on the complete opposite side of the pool. No where near where they said the leak was likely at. We won't be needing a plumber now cause we can fix it with a few parts and some of our own labor. I want to be fair with this review. I do have a very large ranch style house with a pool. It's old and complicated but we love it and are doing our best to bring it back to its former beauty. I'm also not looking for the cheapest option. We just want to hire contractors that give us the quality work that we pay for. Not only that, if you do a good job we will highly recommend your company to others and you will have a repeat customer for as long as we live in SA. We are no contractors but grew up poor in Alaska making us very capable and handy to complete "do it yourself projects" but we are also smart enough to know what things require a professional. When I hire someone, that's all I ask.

Horrible service and unethical owner. The attached pictures are a drain leak that Roadrunner DID NOT FIND. Roadrunner was hired to perform a whole home pin point leak test to find the leak in our drain line and FAILED at the leak test, using guesses and assumptions to locate what they thought was a leak, but was not, and never inspecting the remainder of the house, which is where the actual leak was at. This led to an excavation and tunnel under the house, to repair plumbing, where there was never a leak. I have reached out to Chris, the owner and CEO, to make this right and he is refusing to reimburse us for the cost of the whole home pin point test, which his company failed at, and to cover the cost of the extra excavation and tunnel under the house, which was not needed and was based on their guesses and assumptions, not a "Meticulous process from start to finish" which is stated on their website. Roadrunner will likely reply stating that we used a third party excavation company, which we did, because Roadrunner's crew did not show up when they were supposed to, and the third party excavation crew was phenomenal. They will also try and say that we did not get a permit, which is not required for repairs, only for new builds, to distract from the issue that they FAILED at the whole home pin point test, leading us to cover the cost of an extra excavation and tunnel that was never needed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I called Roadrunner Plumbing because I had a leak in my shower faucet that was getting worse and worse. They said they could get someone out same day which was great. I scheduled my appointment for between 12-4. At 3:45 I called the company to make sure someone was still coming and at this point Tabitha told me the tech was running late and would be there a little after 5. The tech Frank arrived around 5:45. He looked the the faucet in my shower and said that the cartridge needed to be replaced, he quoted me just under $400 for the job. I told him that was too expensive and I was expecting to pay around $250 but he insisted that his price was a good price. They didn't charge me for the trip to come out thank goodness so I said thanks for their time and decided I was going to have ti fix it myself. Two trips to Ferguson plumbing supply and a YouTube video was all it took and the leak was fixed!! The best part....total cost to repair was $38 for the new Moen cartridge. As consumers we need to speak up when companies are trying to take advantage of us. I need to also say that everyone I spoke with at Roadrunner was very polite and I'm not sure if this is the industry standard price for this type of repair. I just want to share my experience and say please do better Roadrunner Plumbing.

I first called them because I had water stains on my ceiling, I needed a faucet in one of my vanities installed and a shower kit installed in another bathrooms. I waited for them to arrive...turned out they were at the wrong address. I called and regave my address to them. They arrived and gave me a quote. They quoted me a price of $480 to replace the vanity faucet! I personally replaced the twin to this vanity in around 45 minutes and I'm a eighty two year old man. So I'm not paying $480 to someone for a 30 minute replacement. I told them to go ahead and punch a hole in my ceiling to look for possible leak. It took them around 15 minutes to do that and they charged me $172. I then went and bought the new kit for the upstair shower for them to install. I specifically told them it was the guest shower with the light on. come back upstair and they had dismantled the wrong shower head. As they started to fix that, the plumber tells me the quote they gave me for the other shower was for the shower head only. I stopped there and told them to forget the other shower and just charge me for that hole you punched in my ceiling. Never again will I use this company and shame on them for taking advantage of an 82 year old man.

The technician, Mark Hatfield was at my home exactly at the scheduled time for Springtime check of my A/C system. I am a licensed Engineer and I asked him to explain technical things in the Engineering lingo. He did so. He showed me all of the data he had on his Fluke instruments. When he finished all of the checks on my A/C system, he also inspected my ventilation system. He showed me problems that a previous A/C company had made when installing my totally new ventilation system about five years ago. When he was finished he told me that it would take about 30 minutes to write his inspection up. His report was detailed and accurate. There was NO hard sell to purchase any parts or labor from him “Today.” His final report was derailed and accurate. He did offer me a year-long inspection program. I did sign up for that for $99.00/year. I have never met an A/C technician with such knowledge about my A/C system. I would highly recommend this company. RoadRunner Plumbing & Air. This review is from a Licensed Engineer who knows at lot about the technical terms that we talked about during his inspection on my A/C Trane system.

Tankless water heater fiasco -After struggling with a tankless water heater issue in our new build and working with more than five plumbers who couldn’t provide clarity or solutions, Roadrunner Plumbing & Air stepped in and completely turned things around. From the start, their team delivered personal service and showed a true commitment to getting the job done right. They didn’t cut corners, ensured everything was up to code, and took the time to make sure we were aligned every step of the way. What stood out most was their transparency and guidance—not only did they fix the problem, but they also helped us understand how to work effectively with plumbers moving forward. It’s rare to find a company that empowers its employees to deliver quality work with autonomy, and Roadrunner Plumbing & Air clearly backs their team and their results. We left not only with hot water but also with valuable lessons: document the work, ask questions, and partner with professionals who are fair and transparent. Thank you, Roadrunner Plumbing & Air, for restoring our confidence and setting the bar high for service and integrity.

We've had a plumbing/clogging issue with our laundry room sink for quite a while. I have used everything to try to get rid of the blockage, from products to tools. Mike came out quickly, right when he said he would be there. I explained what was going on and he got busy finding the problem. It didn't take long for him to figure it out and I guarantee you, I never would have, because it actually involved the air conditioner too. He showed us, on video, what the problem was and gave us two options to clear it up. We chose the option that would keep the drain clean for years to come, and they cleaned it out. We got to see the video of after they did the work. A+ service all the way. Their prices are really reasonable, and I'm really glad we found them here. We will be using Roadrunner from now on.
