I recently had an issue that required a service call, and I cannot recommend Rex’s Plumbing enough—specifically Terra. From the moment she arrived, the experience was top-tier. As a woman, it was such a breath of fresh air and a huge relief to see a female plumber walk through the door. It created an immediate sense of safety and comfort that you don’t always get with home service calls. Terra was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. She took the time to explain the issue clearly without being condescending, and her workmanship was flawless. She left the workspace spotless and made sure everything was functioning perfectly before she left. If you’re looking for a plumbing service that is skilled, respectful, and inclusive, ask for Terra at Rex’s. It’s so empowering to see women excelling in the trades, and she is a fantastic representative for the company!

The hot water heater in our home has a dual purpose. It heats our domestic water and also heats the water for our in-floor radiant heat system. In the fall, it had begun to leak. After doing research, we decided to replace it with an efficient and money saving, tankless hot water system, and contacted Rex’s Plumbing & Heating, upon the recommendation of a customer. Kevin came to our home, a very knowledgeable and experienced technician, who assessed our system and recommended a Navien Tankless Water Heater that would serve the purpose well for both our domestic water and our heating system. He then scheduled an installation time that was convenient for us. He and Shane removed the old hot water tank and completed the installatioin one day, (a very cold day), but he did come back one morning to fine tune everything. We couldn’t be happier with their expedient service and their professional work. And our radiant system works better than it ever has in the 23 years we have lived here. We can’t recommend Rex’s enough—give them a call for any of your heating and plumbing needs. Our experience with Rex’s was their attention to detail, expediency, and their expert work, are rare in today’s service world. And the cost estimate was less than what we found from other companies.

Plumber Kevin was a wonder! He was able to find the perfect matching commode, round bowl and at the correct height that we wanted. He was very courteous in answering my wife's and my questions. Even better than the excellent service, Rex's was available on less than 24 hours notice to provide the full solution to remove and replace a leaking system and expertly install the new one so that it would give years of service and if anything leaked in the future it would not leak down into the floor like the old system, but would pool the water in an easily observable and obvious place without allowing any water damage. Well done Kevin and Rex's!

While I was at work, Rex Plumbing sent a technician to our home in Fort Collins to repair a minor leak. My wife and four daughters were home alone. The technician: • Tracked mud throughout our house in filthy boots and refused to use boot covers • Repeatedly invaded my wife’s personal space in the kitchen despite her attempts to keep distance and followed her around the house • Made multiple inappropriate personal comments, including questioning whether I live at the residence and remarking on money in her wallet and her appearance My wife felt so uncomfortable that she had to instruct our daughter to remain downstairs and away from him. This is completely unacceptable behavior from anyone entering a customer’s home, especially when a woman and children are present alone. Rex Plumbing needs far better screening, training, and oversight. We will not use your services again and will share this experience widely.

I researched my problem got the part then as soon as guy came out he started by telling me it was other more expensive stuff. Then told us we needed a $3200 new hot water heater. If my elderly father had been here alone I am afraid he would have been taken. Talked to 3 other honest plumbers who confirmed it was most likely the thermocoupler which is a $10 and 20min. To install. But their guy started off immediately saying it was more stuff and we should just get new water heater. It's people like this that make me not trust anyone at all guy wanted $250 to install my $10 part. Do your research knowledge is power against this crap!

In 25+ years of general contracting home repairs, home remodels, etc. I've never had the displeasure of working for such an unprofessional, unethical, dishonest, argumentative, overcharging, rude, stubborn, and frankly immature individual as Rex and his company. Long-story short'ish... Rex was hired to install a short gas line from our gas meter to our new heater for our pool. Rex was very aggressive in both insisting that it would be a 1" pipe and had to be buried underground. He tried to overcharge us for digging the short trench ($2K!), so we insisted on digging our self. After it was dug, our pool contractor, the city inspectors, and two other plumbers all said that we needed at least a 1 1/2" pipe, and it should NOT be buried (it creates a dangerous hazard if it is ever cut underground.) Rex rudely insisted on burring the pipe (I assume because he was upset that he wasn't overcharging us for that work) because running it against the side of the house would be "ugly" (never asked us our opinion or gave us an option). Any insisted his "calculations" correctly showed a 1" pipe would "probably work", which is what he installed. After arguing with him for days, I sent him a letter from the pool company which included the manufactures specifications detailing a minimum of 1 1/2" pipe. Why this is a big deal? If the heater shuts down because of inadequate gas flow (which will eventually happen), the entire pump, filter, pipers and pool could freeze and cause $50,000-$80,0000 in damage! Note, a 1 1/2" pipe would only have cost Rex at extra $100. Rex was motivated to pad his pocket with an extra $100 at the risk of costing me upwards of $80K. I politely informed Rex of this situation and asked him to please correct it. If he didn't want to correct it, I offered to pay him to whatever could be salvaged from his work, but someone else would fix his mistake. Note, I did this after he lied and insulted both my wife and I, refused to communicate to my wife because he only like talking with "men", yelled at our pool construction company, made my daughter cry because she overheard Rex's men calling my wife "incompetent" and laughing at how they were overcharging us, and instructed his office staff not to answer the phone if my wife called. When my wife expressed her concerns over the 1" pipe issue to Rex's onsite foreman, his answer was "Why are you concerned? Soon you'll be floating in your new pool enjoying a cocktail while people are starving in Haiti!" Rex never responded to my email. Instead, Rex yelled and threatened our pool contractor with legal action. He also said he was going to call the heater manufacture and tell them they also were wrong in their engineering specifications and didn't know what they were talking about. I assume Rex was not successful in convincing the manufacturer their specifications were wrong and "plumber Rex" from Fort Collins was smarter than their entire engineering team. The next thing that happened was Rex trespassed on our property, ripped out the work he had done, damaged our air conditioner in the process, and quietly slipped away like a thief without any of us knowing. See picture of Rex's vandalism attached. There are lot of reputable, honest, fair, and mature plumbers in the area. I recommend you keep looking and stay as far away from Rex as you can. The good news is it would be very hard to find a worse plumber than Rex, but finding someone better, is easy.

We had a terrible experience with Rex's Plumbing & Heating in Fort Collins. We suffered a house fire in October 2015, lost our home and our possessions, and we were under-insured on both. While rebuilding, we had Rex and Levi come to the house and install a floor drain and ejector pit in the basement slab. We asked Rex for an invoice and they gave it to us on May 20, and we quickly paid them on June 3. During framing, we talked to Rex about bidding the plumbing on the entire house. He walked the job with my husband, and everything was going okay until we said that my parents bought our plumbing fixtures for us. Rex got angry that we weren't buying our fixtures from his supplier so that he could mark them up for profit. After that, we called and emailed multiple times giving Rex plenty of opportunities to provide a bid to do our plumbing. (He could have raised his rates a little to cover for his supposed profit loss on fixtures but guess he didn't think of that). Almost a year later, we are trying to get a bank loan to finish construction. From March 5 to April 17, we have emailed and called Rex multiple times to get a lien waiver for the bank. It might seem like a silly exercise for $382.00, well beyond the statute limits on filing a lien, but the bank wants it. Rex won't provide it. That's a dilemma. When my husband showed up at Rex's office this afternoon, Rex told my husband he would not sign the document and to get off his property (several times). He said it was because we were nit-picking his purchase of fixtures and that we took his free time to walk the property. (I thought that was what contractors do all the time - walk job sites, bid, and win/lose the jobs). We might scratch our heads and wonder about the definition of passive-aggressive. If you call Rex's and get to voice mail, it says "have a blessed day" maybe because he claims to be a Christian. We might scratch our heads and wonder about what it really means to be a Christian. At the end of today, my husband and I feel "blessed" that we did not hire Rex to do the plumbing on our home.

We used Rex's Plumbing to replace a toilet in our 1/2 bath on August 1, 2014. We choose the Kohler toilet we wanted ahead of him coming out. We were asked over the phone if we wanted a toilet seat with the toilet. We said "yes". Rex came and did the replacement. However, 1. The new toilet seat he installed was a VERY cheap plastic seat. We contacted Rex to replace it with something better but decided to purchase one on our own so we could get what we wanted. Apparently just because we purchased a Kohler toilet we don't automatically get a Kohler seat. 2. Fort Collins Utilities has a rebate program for recycling older, higher flow toilets. We didn't know that the plumber has to get a voucher form when he re-cycles the old toilet. Rex DID NOT TELL US this. After repeated calls to his office, we have given up any hope of receiving a voucher so we can get our $50 rebate from the Fort Collins Utility Dept. 3. Since August of 2014, I have not directly spoken to Rex on the phone despite leaving numerous messages with his office staff. We WILL NOT RECOMMEND Rex's Plumbing for any projects! Returning phone calls should be a priority for any business. Informing customers of possible rebates is something THEY should know all about. Not following through with the voucher means we're basically out $50.00.

UPDATE: the leak was not the toilet at all. There was water on the floor again within 2 hours of Rex's plumber leaving my house. I discovered that it was the bidet that was leaking, not the "bad wax ring" on the toilet as "Tony" told me it was!!! WHAT A DECEITFUL, DISHONEST COMPANY THIS IS!! SHAME ON TONY AND THE ENTIRE COMPANY! They owe me a refund for the lies and bogus work they did! First message: I am elderly and feel I have been taken advantage of by this plumber! They charged me $249.00 to replace the wax ring under my toilet! I was so aghast at the high fee just for replacing the wax that I called other plumbers to check their fees. One would have charged me $75! So Rex's grossly overcharged me because they could get away with it! "Tony" the plumber who came to my house, also told me the ring would last only 2/3 years because of our terrible Fort Collins water eroding the wax! And told me I needed a water filtration system - for $2,800!!!! What could be more clear than this company taking huge advantage of an old lady by herself! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY-THEY ARE DISHONEST,!!?

We just moved to Colorado from South Florida. After receiving several obscene estimates to replace several toilets in our house, we contacted Rex. Office staff super friendly and professional. We selected this company not just because of price but because of their efficiency. Rex did the job, and wowwww were we impressed! So friendly and knowledgeable...a true professional. (I should add that I'm a kitchen and bath designer so I know what I'm talking about!) We've already contacted Rex's to come out and give us an estimate for replacing our kitchen sink and doing all the corresponding plumbing, and have a third job in mind for them!! VERY HAPPY CUSTOMERS!!!! UPDATE..... I'm a kitchen and bath designer, so trust me I know what I'm talking about! The office staff is equally friendly and professional! Rex is here now replacing our kitchen sink, faucet and disposal, and once again we are THRILLED! We highly recommend this wonderful team for all your plumbing needs!

I'm a property manager. I needed to replace a water heater in a building with business usage and residential usage 2 days before Christmas...UGH! I called my goto plumber; they would be there mid afternoon. I called Rex's; they sent Kevin immediately at 8:30 AM. I figured I am going to pay through the nose for REX's or have to wait til afternoon. I was so wrong! Kevin assessed the situation; he told me exactly what needed to be done, how he could IMPROVE upon the set up to make it more efficient; told me exactly what top quality water heater he recommended for the multiple uses in my building AND GAVE ME A COMPETITIVE QUOTE THAT WAS RIGHT INLINE WITH MY USUAL PEOPLE's ESTIMATE! All I had to do was say YES. By 11 AM he had the building up and running with a new system and several upgraded features for added safety and longevity. Need I say more?

Rex is great! We have had him out several times for a kitchen remodel and bathroom remodel. The kitchen remodel included running a gas line because of the new gas range replacing the electric one as well as re-routing the kitchen sink drain line and supply lines. For the kitchen remodel work we had three bids. One bid was extremely high; one too low and the guy seemed a little to eager to help out with other items with the remodel unrelated to the plumbing work. Rex's bid was in the middle and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The bathroom remodel included installing a new tub, new shower control valve and moving the water supply line for the toilet. Rex is great to work with and very friendly; plus our dog really likes him as well!

I feel extremely fortunate to have been a customer of Rex's. I bought and had installed a Navien Tankless water heater NCB-210E, and after consulting with Rex himself, we scheduled for the next week. The install was complete in two days, finishing up with Rex checking the system, and explaining details, and answering all my questions. His team was professional, punctual, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All of my phone calls/messages/emails to Rex's office were promptly returned in a friendly and helpful manner. The reminder phone call the day before Rex's team's arrival was a really nice touch. With customer service and a price that both were second to none, you can't go wrong when you call Rex's Plumbing and Heating.

Kevin and Rex were a huge help when the business I work for had a water heater meltdown. They were able to get in the day-of to diagnose the issue, and after finding that there was a short in the motor, they called around and found a replacement piece - in Denver no less. Rex drove down and picked it up, and they were able to install the piece and fix the issue on that exact same day. The price tag wasn't super cheap, but the fact that they were willing to go all the way to Denver and back, and able to get everything back up and working on the same day was huge for my business so we didn't have to shut down for more than a few hours. Thank you, Kevin and Rex!
