This was one of the best home improvement experiences I’ve had. From the beginning, Reservoir was transparent about pricing, warranty coverage, and exactly what to expect. There were no surprises, and every question was answered clearly before I made a decision. The installation team was professional, knowledgeable, and meticulous. It was clear they knew the product inside and out, and the quality of the work and instruction they provided reflected that. The heat pump water heater itself has exceeded expectations. It replaced a 20-year-old electric water heater and the difference was noticeable immediately. Hot water availability improved right away, even with multiple people using hot water at the same time and the app provides excellent visibility into system performance. One feature I didn’t expect is the ability to monitor my well system’s water pressure through the app. It’s a simple but useful way to keep an eye on the health of the pressure tank and well pump. Between the actually water heater, the installation, and the customer service, Reservoir delivered an outstanding experience from start to finish.

I'm an early adopter of reservoir. I was in the market for a new water heater anyway, and I wanted a heat pump heater but was having a hard time justifying the cost. Reservoir is exactly the same price I was quoted for a dumb heat pump water heater, with some compelling bonus features. First, it's a smart device in ways that are actually useful. It tells you water and energy use, has freeze and leak protection built in, and has a "party mode" for times when you have a crowd and don't mind sacrificing a little efficiency to make sure you have ample hot water. Second, it comes with a hydronic pump that recirculates the hot water so you always have hot water (in practice, not full temp, but warm enough) mere seconds after you turn on the tap. I measured and it took about 90 seconds to get hit water at my kitchen sink with the old heater. It's only a few second now to get water warm enough to comfortably wash dishes or hands, and fully hot in 90 seconds. Installation was very professional, the crew was great. Took about 5 hours including wiring and hauling out the old unit. Looking forward to using this for many years to come.

Truly world class experience with Reservoir Home. Their install team was amazing - Jose - Master Plumber was fantastic. The product itself is INCREDIBLY cool! Remarkable - I can't even imagine having an old water heater any longer. Traditional water heaters are SO inefficient and my energy costs are SO much lower with Resevoir.

I’ve had a great experience and can’t recommend them enough. I knew nothing about water heaters before finding out I needed to replace mine. I found out about Reservoir through a connection to a current employee, and I pestered the team with a ton of questions about their product. I also price-shopped other water heaters and installation quotes. I settled on switching from gas to a heat pump water heater for usage cost savings and energy savings. A big value of Reservoir is that they’re transparent about the all-in installation price. In contrast, getting quotes out of plumbers was a nightmare. It was a couple thousand dollars of labor for the ones who did get back to me, meaning the net upfront cost of a Reservoir is similar to or less than other HPWHs. The installation team and support team were both very professional throughout the process. It was exciting to experience the instant water feature firsthand, and I’m looking forward to seeing the energy savings roll in.

We had Reservoir Home install a smart water heater to replace our old electric hot water heater because we wanted something more efficient. The reservoir is definitely saving us money. It’s easy to use, but I appreciated how they walked me through setup and how to use the app. Definitely recommend.
