What reviewers report — the concerns
Other directories bury these. We think you should read them before you call. Every concern below comes from the reviews it cites.
Red flag
Financial conflict of interest: reviewer reports plumbers have kickback arrangements with a disreputable water damage mitigation company, steering customers toward inflated mitigation services that resulted in liens and insurance denial.
“plumbers involved in kickbacks with water damage mitigation company”
Red flag
No-show and communication breakdown on emergency calls: 20% of reviews (1 of 5) document complete service failure with promised callback never materializing.
Severe pricing overcharges on routine work: two separate reviews document $1000 charges for jobs that should cost $250 or less, including one explicitly flagged as elder financial abuse.
“charged $1000 for $250 job, elder abuse”
Cited in 2 of the 5 reviews we analyzed.
Major emergency response failures: one caller received an 8:00-10:00 a.m. window but plumber didn't arrive until 1:30 p.m. during a water main break; another was given a 4-hour window and never received service or promised follow-up call.

Critical
“Please believe the bad reviews. I had an atrocious experience with these people . I had a water main break in the middle of the night and when I was aware of it, I called Rescue Rooter by 5:00 a.m..They didn't tell me exactly when the emergency 24-hour plumber would come and when I called back in a while to find out, they said between 8:00 and 10:00. Well, the plumber didn't show up until 1:30! By then, I had …”
“Bad experience. They gave me a 4 hour arrival window, but never showed up. When I called to ask about their status, I was told I'd get a call from a tech with an update, but that never happened. Would strongly recommend hiring another company. UPDATE: In their response, Rescue Rooters asks that I reach out to them directly. Unfortunately, it appears that when you reach out to these folks it goes to a call center, …”
“This company took advantage of an elderly couple charged in 3 times over just to clean out a pee trap. This job should have cost no more than $250, and the poor couple were charged $1000!! This is elder abuse!!”

We are no stranger to old homes, nor the difficulty in repairing them, especially when surprises come up. And ours threw it out in spades. Long story short- we were very …”
