I’ve used Rescue Air & Plumbing several times for a/c issues and have always had success. Their technicians are always friendly and knowledgeable. Derrick Posley helped me this time and he is so nice and knows his stuff. He explained everything he was doing before and after the work. He even got me to sign up for a membership. That’s how much I trust Rescue to do great work!
Dylan was excellent! He was polite, professional, and very knowledgeable. I can’t recommend Rescue Air and Plumbing enough. They also have fantastic customer service and follow up. The text feature to communicate with the scheduling staff is top notch. 5 star employees and service!
Philip was so helpful and didn’t even mind answering my questions while he was working on my leaky toilet. He was cheerful which was nice and super fast. He cleaned up after he left as well! Would definitely call again and will recommend to my friends.
Update: the city inspector came and FAILED the AC install twice. Waiting for the company to respond regarding a refund to make things right.
I reached out for service and provided my location in the contact form. I quickly received a response from Keiri at Rescue Air and was informed a tech would be able to come out the following day. So, I provided my street address and then I was told Rescue Air needed to check if they service my area. I never heard back so I followed up at the end of the week. I received an apology and asked which days would work for the service. I let them know I was available any day. It has now been a week since and I still have not received aresponse. I'm sure the service itself is probably good, but Rescue Air was not interested in my business so I cannot comment.
It's officially been a week in nice, cool, fresh air and we're loving it! After requesting a seasonal tune-up through our home warranty company, the service tech told us we had a refrigerant leak and needed a full replacement. Rescue Air was one of the companies we called for a "second opinion" and free estimation. Not only did they come out and take a look, they did a full-on complete 2-hour inspection, explaining every step of the way. Joe visited and invited me with him to inspect our outdoor condenser and the air handler inside, explaining what he was looking at, what could be the matter, and his initial recommendations. Our condenser was indeed leaking refrigerant (it was a 23-year-old unit, featuring R-22... Throwback!), and replacement seemed to make more sense than servicing an ancient machine. He wrote up three different estimates with financing options, and his customer service alone helped us make the decision to hire Rescue Air to replace our HVAC system. Joe was so personable, knowledgeable, and respectful in the initial inspection process. He helped us with financing too (YAY financing because as first-time homeowners, this is another huge investment!) and made sure to be available for any questions we had in the quick application process. He had us scheduled for replacement three days later; amazing! Installation day arrived and three service technicians showed up early in the morning around 8:30: Austin, Ty and Greg. This trio was fantastic! I work from home, and they gave a detailed overview of how the day would go. They were so organized and tidy (bringing in tarps and wearing shoe covers every time they came in and out of the house), respectful, professional, efficient (spoiler alert: they were done by 2 o'clock that day, which was awesome), thorough and mindful with their service. They felt knowledgeable, trustworthy and on top of their stuff from the get-go, and we're impressed with their work. A week in, we have noticed such a difference in our AC performance and the general air quality in our home. We're so excited to have installation done by Rescue Air and they'll be our go-to for any maintenance calls in the future. We're so grateful for Joe, Austin, Ty and Greg. These gentlemen made sure we were taken care of from pre-installation to the time they packed up and finished the job. Also, they were great with animals; we have a very social cat named Sylvan who was happy to be project manager for the day and watch them from her sun-spot in the window, and they paid no mind (unless she slow-blinked as they walked in and out of the room, ha! She says hi to her BFF Ty!).
Updated 3/29/26: Still as great a company as we've ever had service our home. We've been loyal customers since they installed our new systems at our old house and they're still servicing our units in our new house. 5 stars still very thoroughly earned. Updated 4/15/24: Rescue Air has been and continues to be my go to HVAC company. Clayton was courteous and informative and provided multiple options for our inquiries. We've joined back up to the maintenance program and can't wait to continue to see Rescue Air techs for many years to come, but hopefully only for preventative maintenance! 😂 Updated 11/14/19: Junior and Jesus and the rest of the install team that was here today did a tremendous job installing a complete new system for our downstairs, which had a crack in the exhaust housing, potentially causing carbon monoxide to be circulated into our air. They also replaced our 240V disconnects outside and a new outside unit for upstairs which was over 15 years old; their install looked immaculate. Jesus asked if I'd like to go with him to the attic to inspect the installation and answer any questions, which I jumped at the opportunity, as a journeyman electrician myself. The furnace looks amazing. The seal job, getting ducts up and strapped to the ceiling, the emergency drain pan with 2 cut-off floats. He showed me where the filter was and how to replace it; as well as how to purge the water from the drain line should it ever need it. He then took me outside to show their craftsmanship on the outside units. The wiring and copper lines were wrapped perfectly with a shielded insulation wrap, the thermostat wire was run in MC and ziptied. I can't speak highly enough of them. They had a long day here today and I am very thankful for the professionalism and quality of work of Junior, Jesus, Joseph, and all the others I didn't catch the names of. Original: Rescue Air is awesome! They took the time to sit down with us and explain all of our options and their recommendations. We ended up purchasing a new furnace through them. They came out and installed it in no time flat and everything is great! Our downstairs furnace stopped producing heat a few days after they installed the new on for upstairs and they came out next day to check it and install the replacement part. Rescue Air is definitely our go to HVAC company now.
Updated review: The manager, Oscar, did a good job handling their mistake with our recent plumbing order with them. He corrected the issue and made us feel much better about the entire situation. We now feel differently and hope to use this company again in the future if needed. (Previous review): I told you, Juan, that I would leave this review if you didn't have a manager call me back! $308 for a little black rubber bib gasket?! I am not happy at all by being overcharged by at least $100 or more just to change out a bib gasket! I understand being charged $99 for a service call, but being charged for over $200 just for the worker to be here for 25 minutes and change out a two dollar part? Does that mean that this company charges $400 an hour? I also feel like we were taken advantage of because I wasn't here to to handle the service technician like originally agreed to and planned. Instead, Rob Lopez came an hour earlier (3:45 PM) than what I told their office representative to send him out. I told Caroline that I wouldn't return home from my daughter's swim lesson until 4:40 PM and that they could send the technician by at 4:45 PM. My husband was working in our front office at our home that day, but I feel like he was taken advantage of because he couldn't give Rob his 100%, undivided attention when he showed up. My husband had to keep his earbuds in and actively listen to his coworkers while the plumber was here. Just to give an example of why I feel like we were ripped off, we had our front hose faucet replaced by a different plumber last year and he was about $130 cheaper than this company and he was here for the same amount of time. Plus he gave us a brand new, frost proof faucet!! The whole job only cost $175. So, if you want to feel like you've been given a bit of a bait and switch with scheduling and be ripped off by at least $100 for a non-emergency, then call this company! P.S.: The invoice from this company says that they replaced the whole hydrant, which is not true. They only changed out a little black gasket. So, right there, we were charged for something that we shouldn't have. But, no one will return my call!
### Rescue Air - 5 Stars If I could give Rescue Air more than 5 stars, I would do it in a heartbeat! Listen to this: My day started off with a perfectly fine working A/C unit. Another company that I called first to do some maintenance ended up breaking it after a wire became disconnected and they wired it back wrong. Told me my compressor was shot, nothing they could do. OMG! Seriously? I needed a second opinion. Then I called Rescue Air! Enter Rescue Air: my saviors on this hot, humid day. **Prompt Response** I called Rescue Air in a state of panic, and their customer service was top-notch from the get-go. They were empathetic, listened to my concerns, and promised to send a technician out the same evening. **Timely Arrival** Roman was my technician and he arrived exactly when they said he would. No waiting around and no vague 4-hour windows. They understood the urgency of the situation. **Expertise & Skill** What impressed me most was Roman's expertise. He quickly assessed my A/C unit and discovered that my compressor was NOT shot as previously diagnosed. With skillful hands and a clear understanding of the system, he fixed what the other company broke. **Fair Pricing** After such a swift and effective repair, I was expecting a hefty bill. To my pleasant surprise, the pricing was more than fair, especially considering the speed and quality of service. No hidden fees, no unnecessary upselling, just honest work. **Professionalism** Throughout the service call, the technician maintained the highest level of professionalism. They explained every step, offered tips on how to maintain my A/C unit moving forward, and ensured that everything was working perfectly before they left. Rescue Air has earned a lifelong customer in me, and I will be singing their praises to all my friends and family. Thank you, Rescue Air, for turning what could have been a dreadful day into a sigh of relief. You guys are true to your name; you really are the 'Rescue' when it comes to air conditioning woes!
I believe the other negative reviews to be spot-on. Be very, very careful with this company. They came in to give an estimate for one repair, but that turned into a big, scary report of all the issues, pointing strongly at a completely new system. Ok. They had photos. Their explainations sounded reasonable, especially when coupled with the photos they quickly flashed through on their tiny phone. So, I told them that we would likely move forward, but I require two things - a copy of all of those photos, and two estimates, one for what they wanted to sell me, and a separate itemized repair list. I got two estimates - one for the original they were pushing, and another for something MORE expensive. No itemized list of repairs. No photos. When I reached out in email, they wanted a phone call. There is almost always a good reason for not wanting to leave a record via email. But, $15,000-ish for a new 5 ton unit, with no new duct work... yeah, you'd better *really* back that up. They could not (would not?) I now have to suspect that thier photos were doctored in some way, maybe even not all of my unit. Who knows? Who looks inside, like that? And, I suspect their reason for not sending me copies of those were dubious. They also pressured the sale claiming that "prices go up next week for Summer." Sha. Ok. This was in March. Good luck with these tactics. Not for me. If you want to give them enough rope to hang themselves to find out for yourself, just act ignorant and as excited for a new unit as they suddenly are to sell you on it. You'll see. It'll cost you $120 for the scammy diagnosis, though.
04/07/26 update - today we had the pleasure of working (again) with Charlie Haddock, this time for plumbing help as he installed 2 new toilets for us. Once again Charlie was fantastic! He’s very knowledgeable, professional, personable and competent. We continue to be so pleased with Rescue Air - for HVAC & plumbing needs! Very fair pricing! ********** (Previous Review from June 2025) Our sales experience yesterday afternoon - a Saturday (!) with Cole K. was great. He is incredibly knowledgeable and worked with us to find the right solution for our needs. Today (Sunday!!!) our installation experience was outstanding! Austin M. & Ty F. came out bright and early and hit the ground running. Unfortunately they had to address and fix some hiccups from a previous install that they handled like champs and kept going. Then there was a small hiccup with an incorrect part that got delivered - Austin got on the phone and made stuff happen and kept his word that he and Ty wouldn’t leave until we had a cold house (again - on a Sunday!!). The level of attention to detail was next level from them both. Things we never would have been smart enough to know if corners had been cut - they pointed out and explained how thorough they were being, and God Bless them for that. Austin and Ty are next level. Professional, knowledgeable, nice, easy to work with. Rescue Air is very lucky to have them representing the company. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. They are not the cheapest - and I completely understand why. With Rescue Air you get what you pay for, and you can’t put a price on peace of mind. Great job, guys!
The techs that come to your house are either not given the proper tools or the proper training to do their job. Someone came over to my house to perform routine maintenance, and at the end he reported that the evaporator coil had a leak. He showed me a video of one of his tools going off, indicating a leak. The cost of replacing this coil would be $5100. I thought this was strange as the AC seemed to be working fine, so I decided to get a second (and third) opinion and neither of those companies detected a leak. If I had trusted this employee I would have been out a sizable chunk of change. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so I'm guessing either the tech was incompetent or was working with malfunctioning tools. It should also be noted that once he gave me the news he then tried to get me to act fast, and offered discounts if I moved quickly. I would advise anyone who works with this company to resist the pressure to get the "repair" done quickly and get at least a second opinion. Edit: I talked to the business owner and he offered to have someone come over and perform two more tests to see if there is, in fact, a leak in the evaporator coil. Supposedly these tests are more thorough and definitive than the test the tech performed. This further proves my point of that the employees need more training or are inept at their job. If I'm going to tell someone they need +$5k in repairs I'm not going to rely on a sub par test. I would perform the "gold standard" test the first time, or at least confirm the inferior tests results.
Philip Blystone and Jesus Mendoza at Rescue Air and Plumbing came out the same day as called to take care of a shower drain and adjust the scald guard on our shower. Philip is awesome, and we request him for anything plumbing related that comes up. He’s a second generation plumber who brings his know-how to every job and always with a heartfelt smile! Jesus and Philip are like the dynamic duo in lock step with each other and get the job done right! Philip is excellent at communicating issues, explaining the plan to resolve, and executing flawlessly! He and Jesus have been in our house over the years to fix toilets, sinks, showers, install piping, rough-ins and trim kits, and recently installed a new kitchen faucet too. We are a long time customer at Rescue Air & Plumbing and we are happy with the service. Dispatch calls and texts to tell us when we’re next in line, then texts us when the tech is on his way with a photo and tech’s name. This removes the mystery of when someone is actually coming. So needed with our busy schedules. All work and costs are clearly explained prior starting. Are there cheaper options out there? Sure, but in our experience we get what we pay for and are happy to pay for Rescue Air & Plumbing’s responsiveness, plumber expertise, and white glove professionalism. The work is warrantied and they stand by their work. Thank you!
Let me first say that Philip KNOWS HIS STUFF!!! I've been having an issue with 1 of my downstairs toilets for well over a year, I have 2 other restrooms so it wasn't a bid deal to where I needed to drop everything to address it. The issue was that there was a super slow flow in the water line that caused the toilet to fill up extremely slow and for the cold water side of the faucet to flow slow as well. After Philip asked me a few questions and I answered them, he then asked if I had valve box and my answer yes and I took him to it. Turns out that the valve that controls the water flow to that restroom was pretty much cut off, causing the flow to be slow. Philip opened that baby all the way up and that water flow came rushing through like it's supposed to!!! The crazy part about it is, I actually had 2 other companies look at it when I first noticed it a year ago and they both concluded that it was some foreign object in the line and that they'd have to cut through my wall to retrieve it. That's the reason it took me so long to get it fix, I just wasn't ready to pay out of the Wazoo to have the work done!! I REALLY appreciate this company! It pays to have someone that actually KNOWS what they're talking about and not just guessing!!
I recently had Rescue Air and Plumbing handle a tankless water heater repair at my home in Dallas, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. The team was professional, responsive, and clearly knowledgeable about tankless systems. They diagnosed the issue quickly, explained everything in straightforward terms without any high-pressure sales tactics, and completed the repair efficiently with high-quality work. What really stood out was how fairly priced the service was--no surprise fees or unnecessary upsells, just honest, value-driven pricing that made the whole process stress-free. A special shoutout to Dylan, who was absolutely amazing! He was courteous, thorough, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right and that I was completely satisfied. His expertise and friendly attitude made him a top reason I'd choose Rescue Air again without hesitation--and I'd highly recommend them (and specifically asking for Dylan if possible) to anyone needing plumbing repairs, especially for tankless water heaters. If you're in the DFW area and dealing with a similar issue, give Rescue Air a call--you won't be disappointed! 5 stars all the way.
