I had an outstanding experience with **Reliant Plumbing**, and I can’t say enough good things about **Sam and Conrad**, who came out to give me an estimate on repairing my sewer line. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, personable, and genuinely eager to help. Sam and Conrad took the time to thoroughly explain the issue, walk me through my options, and answer all of my questions without ever making me feel rushed or talked down to. Their knowledge was impressive, and they communicated everything in a clear, honest, and highly informative way, which made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. What truly set them apart was their attitude—both were pleasant, friendly, and clearly cared about providing great customer service. It’s rare to find technicians who combine technical expertise with such a warm, customer-focused approach. If you’re looking for a plumbing company you can trust, **Reliant Plumbing** is it. Sam and Conrad are a fantastic representation of the company, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing plumbing help. An all-around excellent experience!
Austin & Gabriel did an amazing job with our repairs. They were patient, hardworking, and communicated with us thoroughly during the process. They went above and beyond and also cleaned up afterwards. We highly recommend their services. My husband and I are very pleased with their final work.
Steven and his helper Gabe did an outstanding job on our plumbing repair. They came out to service our toilet, quickly diagnosed the issue, and completely rebuilt the tank by reseating the flush valve and installing all new internal components (fill valve, flapper, and supply line). Their workmanship was meticulous—everything was leveled, sealed properly, and tested multiple times to ensure there were no leaks and that the toilet was flushing with the right pressure. Steven explained what they were doing step by step, used the proper tools instead of taking shortcuts, and left the work area spotless. It’s clear they take pride in their craft. If you need a plumber who is reliable, efficient, and truly knows the ins and outs of plumbing systems, I highly recommend Reliant Plumbing. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again for any future plumbing needs.
I have had a horrible experience with Reliant Plumbing. Charged $800 for a PVC pipe replacement to a Ptrap, only for the work to start leaking. I had calls back and forth with the company, was transferred to three different staff members over the course of three weeks. We were overcharged for what was replaced, and for the quality of the work that was done. If you want the whole story read on. Our Ptrap came apart under our kitchen sink, due to the previous owners trying to do a DIY pipe job in our 1974 home. Called Reliant based on their reviews, someone came over, talked with my husband, but wasn't the actual plumber, then the actual plumber came over said everything needed to be re-piped, and it was going to be $800! Since this was a reoccurring problem for us, and having the kitchen flood five times, my husband in frustration agreed. Then after the work is done the plumber proceeds to tell my husband that this is only a temporary fix, and what we really should do is drill into the wall to lower the angle of the pipe...after we had already handed over the credit card. I called to complain, talked with Steven, and he said the plumber must have been mistaken?--After researching the plumber was telling the truth, but the company took our money before we could consider our options. I could not understand how the work that was done was worth $800. Other than replacing the accordion pipe that was originally there, everything looked exactly the same. This job should have cost no more than $500 (on the very high end). And the story continues, I called back after inspecting the work to verify why the bill was so high, since the invoice did not go into detail besides saying it was a re-pipe. I was told I would get a call from management, no reply for a full week. Then a leak starts in one of the pipes they replaced. Called back again, airing my grievances to reception, since I didn't get a call that was promised, and now the $800 work I paid for was leaking. I now get a call from Andrei, told him the whole story, and we agreed that a plumber would be sent to inspect the job between 8am-9am on Wednesday morning, "You will be our first appointment of the day" he said. Come 8:50am Wednesday morning, no one has shown up, nor called or texted. I call Andrei asking if someone is still coming, he says he'll call back...he doesn't, I get a call from reception instead asking if I would still like a technician to come (well ya, I wanted one to come between 8 and 9am as promised, cause I need to go to work). I air my grievances again, and finally just asked for a refund, because I am so displeased with the work and service. Reception says I will get a call from management again. Now a different person calls me, and I air my grievances yet again--how did the work add up to $800, why is it now leaking, why didn't anyone show up? He then proceeds to tell me that the screws just maybe need to be tighten, but also he cannot consider a refund because how does he know that I just didn't "loosen it myself in order to call and ask for a refund"?! That accusation alone is a reason why not to hire them. I told him I still couldn't comprehend the $800 fee, and he said that was a standard price...it is not. At that point I was so frustrated and offended. I said it was my right to ask for a refund, and if it was denied, fine, but I wish to no longer to do business with them (even with their warranty, I feel I had been given such a runaround I refused any further help from them). I'm sure they can care less about any of my complaints cause they got our $800, which was a blow to our budget. Now we are bearing the cost of that bill, without having the problem fully fixed.
Update: Update: This response is inaccurate. Jason Oliphant arrived at 8:40 PM (nearly 3 hours late), took a single photo of a gauge on his phone rather than performing a live test on my home, and walked out mid-conversation. Most importantly, I have been refused the written diagnostic three times. I have the text messages from Jason offering 'free memberships' in exchange for deleting these reviews. This is not about 'quality standards'; it is about a lack of transparency and unprofessional conduct. I am now escalating this to the TSBPE and my bank for a chargeback Original: This has been one of the most unprofessional service experiences I have ever had. The initial plumber Forrest barely inspected anything and immediately concluded the leak was from the washer lines. He also claimed he would check the main water line and replace the pressure regulator. This was on Saturday, January twenty fourth. Fast forward to Monday. The repair crew showed up confused, not knowing what they were assigned to do, and they attempted to leave without performing any testing to confirm whether the problem was resolved. They did not show me the equipment that had been replaced or installed. I had to insist that they actually run the washer and test the system, because they expected me to test it after they left, which is absolutely unacceptable. I paid roughly two thousand three hundred dollars and the plumbers did not even bother verifying their own work. When I questioned why nothing was being tested, attitudes shifted and I was met with irritation instead of professionalism. To make matters worse, the technician responsible for testing simply walked out of my house in the middle of the job without saying a word, while water was still running. That level of disregard for the customer’s home and money is alarming. This company lacks accountability, communication, and basic standards of service. I do not recommend them.
Update: In a weak attempt to have me remove my review, the supervisor Jason Oliphant called me around 7 in the morning. At the start of the call he told me that Forrest had been terminated the day before due to unrelated issues. Hearing that made it clear that they already knew the service he provided was poor. Jason then asked me to take his word that he would come back out to test the water pressure regulator and the water lines, and he promised he would arrive at 6 in the evening. The moment we ended the call and he realized I had posted on other platforms, he immediately texted me asking again for the review to be removed and even asked me to have my husband remove his review. He also offered free memberships and services if we removed them. When 6 passed with no update, I reached out. It was clear he had no intention of showing up. He finally arrived around 8 forty, took one picture of the water pressure regulator, and then walked out of my home while I was explaining my concerns. He never mentioned any of the things he promised on the phone or in his text message. I have requested the written diagnostic three times, and they still have not provided it. Their invoice states that the leak was located and equipment was tested, but none of that was actually done. The pattern has been consistent. They do not like being called out and are more concerned with controlling public perception than providing real customer service. I have attached pictures for context to avoid any confusion. My review remains because the service, communication, and follow up did not match the price I paid or the claims listed on their own invoice. I would give 0 stars if I could. A year ago today, we had a clogged kitchen sink and called Reliant Plumbing. The plumber told us our pipe was “busted at the elbow,” that the cast iron pipes were severely corroded, and that we needed to trench under our slab and replace everything. The quote? $16,000. What really bothered me was the pressure to immediately apply for financing. When I said I wanted to check with our homeowner’s insurance first, I was told insurance “doesn’t cover wear and tear” and that there wasn’t really another option. Our insurance company came out and said there wasn’t substantial evidence, water damage, or proof of a break to justify approving the claim, but they would reconsider if more evidence was provided. Reliant Plumbing then told us there was no additional proof to give. For 10 months, we lived stressed out, thinking we had a catastrophic plumbing issue under our home. We got other bids, worried about refinancing, repairs, and the financial burden this would cause our family. Then my sister-in-law convinced her trusted plumber to come take a look as a last-ditch effort. After inspecting everything, he found there was NOTHING wrong with the pipe. He explained that the cast iron pipes are old and will eventually need replacement someday, but there was no busted pipe, no collapse, and no urgent $16,000 problem. A clogged sink turned into nearly a year of unnecessary stress because of this experience. Please get a picture of the break and avoid our mistake! (No camera was sent down the pipes BTW) $255 charge, after he spoke to his supervisor and got it knocked half off, for nothing!
One of the worst experiences with licensed professionals that I have ever had. Only 2nd 1-star review out of 155. Difficulty with quality of work and communication. Too many details to cover, so this review will take it from a numbers perspective. 65K - original contract cost 5 - year warranty on parts and labor 14 - months from start of project to finish 3 - different master plumbers overseeing work due to turnover 120+ - feet of sanitary sewer installed 5 - failed inspections before the drywall went up 1 - unnecessary tunnel through the house because they were unaware that the Uniform Plumbing Code required a 3 inch line for sewer that includes a laundry drain and a sink when they installed the sanitary sewer 6 months earlier 76 - days from report to repair of a shower trim improperly installed and unusable (warranty repair) 7k - repair cost of a bad solder joint that damaged my bathroom (under warranty) 0 - how much Reliant repaid me for said repairs Integrity isn’t perfection. It’s recognizing your mistakes and correcting them. Agreeing to pay for damages and then refusing to actually pay for these damages says more than a review ever could. And yes, the owner received full notice with a certified letter asking for reimbursement for repair costs, so regardless of any response on this review, the owner is aware and will not reimburse. Buyer beware.
I will say the price will be higher than you would expect. However, the knowledge or transparency they provide is something you cannot buy. I have gone with "a friend of a friend" that's an actual licensed plumber working after hours to save a few hundred, nearly $1000 in some cases. They end up messing up the HVAC system with large digging equipment and damaging my metal storage shed siding with the same machine and never told me. When questioned they disappear and never repair it. I will say the peace of mind and professionalism you receive when going with Reliant is worth the extra money. The first person came out promptly and was able to assess and answer various questions when looking at options from replacing a water heater to the option to go tankless to other things that were popping up. Joseph was knowledgeable and did not BS his answers. He scheduled the installation for later that day, and the water heater was installed by 7 PM that evening completely brought up to code and professionally done and cleaned up after. The actual installation team of one was fast, professional, and require anything like "a trip to the store". Highly recommend them at least for a quote and hopefully it works out for y'all.
I truly regret ever calling Reliant Plumbing. What was described as a small, quick repair slowly escalated into quotes of over $5,000 to patch a line and more than $8,000 to replace it. The constant changes and lack of clear communication made the situation frustrating and stressful. After I realized what they were doing, and a thousand dollars in, I called another licensed plumber who quoted $300 to patch the same line and $1,400 to replace it. For context I was out of town, and my pregnant wife was left to deal with the technician's unprofessional behavior (swearing, yelling) vague answers, and equipment left behind. When I called the office I was told a manager would reach out the same day. That never happened. I hope this review serves as a warning. Don't let Reliant Plumbing take advantage of you, take your money, not actually fix the problem, and waste your time like they did to me. If you'd like to pay a company thousands of dollars for them not to fix a problem and then litter your yard with their tools, then choose Reliant.
We thought we had a plumbing leak coming from the ceiling and we’re thinking “Great!! More stuff to pay for!” We called reliant plumbing after getting a $205 quote just to come out from another plumbing company. We got service the same day (in a couple of hours actually) and Forest came to the door. He was extremely polite and professional, listened to us and answered all our questions. He got to work trying to find the leak, and was looking everywhere from under the cabinets to the attic and outside the house. He couldn’t find that specific leak we thought was in the ceiling and even did a pressure test to see if we had a leak somewhere else in the house (thankfully we didn’t). He did let us know that our water pressure was low and a thingy (technical plumbing term) should be replaced. We will probably have it done this month and we were happy that he wasn’t trying to pressure us just letting us know about it. Oh yeah, no fee for any of this!!! We will definitely be calling them again!
I will never be using Reliant Plumbing ever again. They stole our money and refuse to refund us. On December 16, they came to our home to do an assessment and asked for payment for a service. They scheduled the repair (after taking our money) and then for the next 6 weeks have continued to either cancel the service or reschedule. I have called every single day this week to get the service re-scheduled and I keep getting told that "yes we are coming" and then no one ever shows up. I even got a text message yesterday with the company saying they were on the way and no one ever showed up. I called to get a refund since the service has not been completed and it has been 6 weeks... 6 weeks without a functioning toilet. They refuse to refund us and keep giving us the run around and promising they will reschedule us but then failing to deliver. It is illegal to charge for a service that has not been done or completed. Find another plumbing service in San Antonio that won't steal your money!
Jason was amazing. We have an old home and there were mutliple smaller issues with both downstairs bathrooms, particularly one with a frozen bath/shower lever and a tub spout that had to be sawed off! We just wanted two shower/bath combos with no issues: new fixtures with good water pressure and no leaks for kitchen sink faucet. We did a combo where they installed some items we picked out. If you don't want the most basic version of Moen, for example, then I recommend picking out and buying what you would like installed. Jason was also super helpful in helping us make those final decisions! It might cost a tad more than some other places, but they have a great scheduling system and excellent plumbers, which are hard to find. They have a maintenance plan where they will come out and flush your water heater and use a camera to look at pipes. Best of all, plumbing is all they do!
Amazing Service from AJ and Jason at Reliant Plumbing! I can't say enough great things about AJ and Jason from Reliant Plumbing! They came to my spa on short notice for an emergency service and truly saved the day. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, efficient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Not only did they quickly diagnose and resolve the issue with my salon bowl, but they also took the time to explain everything clearly and ensure everything was working perfectly before they left. Their positive attitude and problem-solving skills made what could have been a stressful situation so much easier. Excellent customer service, prompt response time, and true experts at what they do--I highly recommend Reliant Plumbing, and I will absolutely be using them for any future plumbing needs. Thank you, AJ and Jason, for your outstanding work!
Before signing with Reliant, I spoke to them (especially Master Plumber Jason Oliphant) numerous times. We negotiated a deal for whole house sewer replacemement and repipe for a house I bought (tens of thousands of dollars of work). During my project, I had no less than 3 different master plumbers as supervisors as they kept having turnover. I asked for them to at least broom clean on days they were onsite, and they regularly left the place a mess. 5 failed inspections before drywall went up. Less than a year into my 5 year warranty, a solder joint went bad and caused extensive damage to my bathroom. Reliant did not respond to my call for an emergency repair, but did promise to pay for damages which totalled more than $7k. Three months, thirteen emails, and one certified letter later and I still have not been reimbursed.
