This company provided excellent service. Mario was on time, efficient, polite, answered/explained all my questions, cleanup after job was complete was great. I would recommend him to all.

Excellent service from Reichelt. Th plumber thoroughly explained everything and was very thorough. They came out the same day and we couldn't be happier!

They came out same day and installed a water heater tank. They were quiet, professional and arrived earlier than expected. Highly recommend Reichelt Plumbing to new homeowners looking for reliable repairs. As well as long standing homeowners seeking plumbing repairs. Thank you Reichelt!

I wish I could rate them Zero Stars. I called them to service the tankless heater in my new house. I selected them since their website says they service and install them. They checked it and said they could find "nothing wrong" - to the tune of $200+. The house had been unoccupied for several months so that may have been an issue. Fast forward a few weeks, now we are in the house and experiencing the same issue. We call them back and again, "nothing wrong" - again to the tune of $200+. I ask for an estimate to replace, and they gave me a ball-park estimate of $3,000. They say they can install a unit that I purchase. So I get a similar unit for $1,400 and arrange for the install at $145/hr. (It seemed like a better deal, even if it takes 3 hours to install, it'll be over $1,000 less.) On the appointed day, their "head service man" with "23 years of experience " shows up and tells my mom - who lives with us - "I've never put one of these in before...it's going to take some time." I called their office and told them about my past 2 calls, and now you send a guy who's never installed these units before? I said, "get him the f&%k out of my house." They called him and had him leave, but he had to return as he "forgot" to turn on the gas and water. Never again with these jokers, never again.

Overpriced plumbing service that will charge you a fee just to get an estimate. Go with tiger Plumbing or one of the other local plumbing companies that offer free estimates and overall reasonable prices.

Oh, my. I can't stress enough. . . stay away from this company! They are scamming unsuspecting folks. I would like to spread the word, so no one else gets ripped off like we did. I called to get an estimate for installation of a new kitchen faucet. The rep, who answered the telephone, informed me that "they really need to look at the job" and that the fee to come out would be waived if the job was completed. The fee was competitive with the other two companies I had called previously. The technician came to my house, looked at what needed to be done, and promptly asked if I had used their services before. I told him I had used them many years ago at our previous home. He said, "So you know we are very expensive." I asked what the estimate was to simply remove the old faucet and install the new one. He looked in his book, and said it was a "flat rate fee" for this type of job. If that was the case, a reputable company would have explained this during my initial call. But, of course, Reichelt did not. When he quoted the price, I almost fell to the floor. I was standing there speechless, with my mouth gaping open, as he started writing up the invoice for the charge to come out to our house and do nothing. He spent about 10 minutes here, and walked away with about twice what my poor, hard-working hubby makes per hour. I called Meyer Plumbing before he had pulled out of our driveway. Within an hour, a very nice, professional tech came to our house, finished the job in about 20 minutes, and charged LESS THAN HALF what Reichelt's flat rate fee was. Live and learn. STAY AWAY FROM REICHELT PLUMBING!!

I contracted with this company to put in a clean out station. They removed a bush to get to the sewer line then after removing it told me they got the wrong spot. They said they would be generous and not charge me for their mistake. Now they said they would have to move pipe in the crawl space, and put in new line in yard to connect to old drain line or the sewer. Original estimate $2000 new estimate $4000 to $8000. After the installing new line to old sewer line they tested by running cold water and flushing toilet. Then rather than running a camera through the line and rotting it too check for blockages they said good too go. Within a week pipes gurgling and slow drainage I thought maybe it was the new pipes. After the holidays called them back they put in camera and tried to rot they now claim blockage just beyond where they stopped. They now want another $3000 too $5300 too finish the job. The owner of the company Rob Sues said they made mistake not checking line for blockage, but we would still have too pay price he estimated. These are bad people they don't back up there work, and this seems like a company out to take advantage of the customer. I recommend people Run not walk away from this company. Don't trust them.

When we chose Reichelt, we chose the BEST plumbing company in the area. Unbeknownst to us, during the winter we had an exterior pipe on the main valve to our exterior underground sprinkler system develop a hairline crack. Even though the system is maintained every fall with all of the water forced out with high-pressure apparently there was just enough of a drop or two to cause havoc When we turned the water on there was water spraying all over. What fun..,, Reichelt responded in a timely manner, and the Technician was able to replace the pipe which was 21 years old and install a new backflow valve as well. Not only was he efficient, he was neat, pleasant, and as always, got the job done. The Technician also performed the Backflow certification test and reported it to the State of Indiana which is required by law in Indiana, even though a majority of the people within ingrown sprinkler systems do not do this! We will continue to call Reichelt Plumbing for all of our future needs and we are thankful they are a family run business who cares about the customer. Why would anyone ever call another company when we are so blessed to have them in our area.!

Run fast in the opposite direction. I had a leak coming from the sink in my bathroom that I wanted to have repaired. Plumber comes in looks and tells me the leak is from galvanized piping. If this were the case I can't be the only person in America with galvanized piping so how do you suggest I fix the issue. He responds by telling me the job was too big, take it up with my home warranty company. Come to find out the piping isn't galvanized. However the bathroom vanity would need to be removed to get to the pipe in order to replace it. I also had him look at my kitchen sink while he was their. He tells me it needs to be rodded out. After rodding the sink out he tells he that wasn't the issue and he couldn't give me warranty on the rodding work. Now the sink is worse than when he rodded it. 180 dollars gone down the drain.

I had an excellent experience with Ricky from Reichelt Plumbing. His professionalism, communication, and attention to detail were truly exceptional. He not only completed the work efficiently but also went above and beyond — noticing that the toilet seat had minor scratches and taking the initiative to leave, purchase, and install a brand-new one without being asked. That level of care and pride in workmanship is rare these days, and it really stood out. Ricky kept me informed every step of the way and made sure everything was done perfectly before he left. Because of Ricky’s outstanding service, I will highly recommend Reichelt Plumbing to anyone looking for a company that values quality, honesty, and customer satisfaction. Thank you, Ricky, for setting such a high standard!

We recently had a Reichelt Plumber out to fix a leak in gas line. When the guy showed up he didn't even have the required tool to check. He was called specifically for that reason. He wanted to go back and bring but said it will be on our time and the mileage plus the $40.00 charge. Fortunately NIPSCO GUY happened to show up and he had the tool. He found the small leak. Reichelt didn't do anything except to cut a small piece of drywall to tighten a pipe per NIPSCO guy. After an hour of standing and doing nothing he handed a bill for $254.00. We had to use our credit card to get rid of the guy. If we let him stay in our house any longer we may have to sell our house to pay these money hungry thieves. BEWARE of this unscrupulous company.

I am a little irritated with my experience today. When I called I let the receptionist know that we were interested in getting an 3rd opinion, we already had an idea of the situation, and request the smallest camera for the pipe inspection possible. When their plumber came out I asked him if he wanted to check the basement and he told me 3x's that he wasn't interested in seeing the basement since we knew the issue was about 15ft from the house (which we also stated). He had me run water which ultimately led to water coming up the floor drain and the plumber responding with "you should have had me in the basement first" WTF. I felt like I gave them $180 for fun. We won't be working with this company again.

I've had two opportunities to use them (outside of the back flow pressure ripoff that Schererville requires) and the first one was a very good experience - the plumber did what we had asked (rodded out a slow draining pipe). The second opportunity made me decide to check out other companies if I need future plumbing work. We needed an ejector pump replaced. The plumber just did not want to be there - or maybe do that job. Filth trailed the old pump out of the house (despite the offer of a garbage bag) and then he didn't set the trip level right. So, now I have a basement sink that has 2" of standing water until I flush the toilet or run the shower.

We called them late at night and received a return call around 8am the next morning. We explained that we had an issue with the water heater and they agreed to send someone out and asked that we be home from 10am - 1pm. No one ever showed up. No one even called. We called to cancel the estimate (assuming they ever even intended to show up) and the woman stated that she didn't see an appointment under our name. Ummm... but you called us this morning and YOU made the appointment. Needless to say, we canceled our 'non-existing' appointment and contacted another plumbing company for an estimate.

Reichelt Plumbing is great to deal with. I have never had a problem with them, as other reviewers have stated. They show up when they are suppose to, they are friendly and professional. Their rates are competitive with other plumbing companies. I use to use Meyers but will NEVER call them again because of their crappy service. My favorite techs with Reichelt is Mario and Chris...they both rock and fixed my problems the first time. I highly recommend them and have recommended them to other people.
