I am beyond thrilled with the service I received with Russell. R.E.D. was utilized as a second opinion and I am so glad we received it. Next time, it will be our first call. Russell went above and beyond with his efficiency, level of being thorough and communication about potential options and following through on getting the work completed. He was willing to explain what is functioning improperly and offered to teach us how to do our annual flushing of the system. I am so excited to have him install my new water heater.

I used R.E.D. Plumbing on a new build and was unsure how the warranty process would work. We have not even moved into the home yet when we noticed a leak under the kitchen sink. I called before the office officially opened and left a message, not knowing what to expect. Hope called me back promptly. She listened carefully, showed genuine care, and took ownership of the situation right away. She scheduled help for the same day, which spoke volumes about how this company treats customers, even before move-in. Noah arrived on time, was professional and respectful, identified the issue quickly, and fixed it without hesitation. No stress. No runaround. The problem was solved. He also took the extra step to check the water heater they installed to make sure everything was working properly. Five-star service all around. This team delivers real service, stands behind the work, and values your time. I appreciate the quick response, the professionalism, and the care shown. R.E.D. Plumbing earned my trust and my strong recommendation.

Poor service, with employees that need more training. In a nutshell...they are a hot mess.

I scheduled them and they were running several hours behind. I rescheduled and they put me on first thing in the morning to ensure they would be on time, is what they told me. They scheduled me for 8:30 and it is now 9:30 and they still haven't been here yet. I heard they're pretty good, which is why I called them, but disappointing that they can't stick to their appointment times because I have a job and I rearranged my day both times to accommodate them. If you don't mind waiting around.

Outstanding Whole-House Water Softener and Conditioner! RED Plumbing installed our whole-house XT60 Water Softener and KDC60 Water Conditioner 5 weeks ago in our home. Living in Prescott Valley before our installation, we noticed that the water was very hard water, quite cloudy when poured from the sink or even from the filtered refrigerator water, and had a noticeable chlorine smell. After RED installed our water softener and conditioner, our water tastes great and is no longer cloudy and the chlorine smell is gone! Since chlorine is not meant to be consumed, I am glad for that. Our house is plumbed for an R-O water filtration system, and we didn't even put one in because we no longer need it. In addition, my whole house gets the benefit of this much improved water: showers, cooking, cleaning (which is much easier as water spots and calcium build up is no longer an issue). A side benefit is that my hair dye last longer and doesn't fade. My hair grows out, but the color stays in my hair because there is almost no chlorine in the water. In addition, we noticed that our laundry is super soft! I went and washed even the clean stuff in the linen closet just so it could be soft too. We don't have to use water softeners any more - a money saver - or dishwasher rinse aid. Dishes come out looking clean and sparkly. My skin and hair feel better too. I was having a bit of itchy skin before and I just didn't really think about it... until it was gone. The maintenance for the unit is as simple as it gets. We do have to add salt (so far, not yet though), but there are no filters to change, clean, or replace. The systems are designed to be self-cleaning by running a regeneration cycle. Because of the water conditioner, there is very little salt remaining in the water. It is perfectly safe for our plants and they are thriving. I highly recommend the 2 units for outstanding water, and I recommend RED Plumbing as they were was very professional in their installation. Andrea S. (April, 2019)

I called for emergency service a few weeks ago on a Saturday for a blockage issue in my sewer pipe that was causing my toilets and bathtubs to backup. The service guy came and removed one of the two toilets and tried to use the snake. Without success in the one toilet he moved to remove the next toilet. After the second attempt failed he called his supervisor and told me that my only option was to cut a hole in the drywall and try the snake again. Of course I trusted him and let him do it. Again no success. The service guy then said the next step would be to find the sewer clean-outs outside of my house. I told him that I would locate them and call for him to return. I called back on Monday and RED had already sent a supervisor and a different service guy to my house. They took a snake with a camera on it through the clean-out and within 20 min the blockage was taken care of. Problem solved! Everything that the emergency service guy did was not needed. The first step should have been to go to the clean-outs first like they eventually did on Monday. I couldn't use one bathroom for a week because i had drywall and paint repair to complete before they could put the toilet back in place. One week later I receive the bill for over $1000. I placed a call to the office to talk to them about what happened. I told them that the emergency service guy should have told me that the clean-outs needed to be located first, not the other way around. After they talked it over with the service manager they called me back and said they would give me a 5% "good guy" discount. I definitely won't be calling them again in the future.

R.E.D. Plumbing had done the original plumbing installation on my home built 2 years ago. I purchased it in January 2018 so it was cold outside & didn't notice that the cold water in my kitchen & guest bathroom was lukewarm at best. It starts out cold then goes to warm & to hot and tries to go cold while running the water. My home warranty company sent out two different plumbers who both said the hot & cold water lines were crossed or touching somewhere in the foundation. I called R.E.D. Plumbing who also agreed that the lines were probably touching. After doing some work on my plumbing to try to pinpoint where plumbing was either crossed or lines touching, the owner of the company said that the city water coming into my home is 83 and that is acceptable and why my water is lukewarm. However, if that were the case, all of my faucets would be the same temperature. None of my neighbors have 83 degree water, which if it were city, they would. The owner said that they will not do anything else to remedy this. The service manager at the company is great. He's tried to work with me but I realize his hands are tied since the owner says there's nothing wrong. I'd love to have the owner come & have a glass of lukewarm water with me. I know that they think I'll just go away. I will not. I've been dealing with them and this issue for well over a month. Not the kind of company I'd do business with if I didn't have to. As a business owner myself, I would never just wash my hands of an issue that my company is responsible for. The owner obviously just looks at the bottom line.

I must say, from the first and second phone call to RED Plumbing and your AMAZING technician Steven, I am beyond AMAZED at the professionalism, honesty, and just all around good vibes from your company!!! It is very rare to meet such an AWESOME technician as Steven. His attention to detail and knowledge just blew me away. Thank you so much for your time and for sending me what has to be one of the most attention to detail technicians I have ever met. Did I happen to mention how awesome Steven was? I don't even care if I get any other calls or quotes from any other companies. You have more than earned my business and respect. Your receptionists were pleasant to talk with and your technician Steven sealed the deal. Your quote was fair, your technician was beyond impressive, and I feel like I am dealing with family!!! Also, people need to be more understanding during these bizarre times. Many of these companies can not get good workers and many of them are dealing with multiple customers and service calls. Be patient and more understanding, the world does not revolve around you. Stuff happens and sometimes techs are running behind. They are doing the best they can during these strange times.

A big shout out to technician Ian! Our relatively new (three years) house has a very complicated electric water heater with a "smart" circulation pump that is designed to provide hot water anywhere in the house within about ten seconds. It worked well until a couple of weeks ago, when suddenly it was taking four or five MINUTES for hot water to reach the furthest points in the home. We called a different plumbing company, but they either didn't understand how the system worked or seemed to think there was no problem. We then contacted R.E.D. Plumbing, which had initially installed the water heater. Ian approached the issue with a view to taking the least invasive and least costly action first, before trying a more expensive and complicated solution. We agreed with that course. When that first attempt failed, he returned for a second visit and correctly diagnosed and repaired the problem. He also suggested options in case we need to replace the circulation pump with a different product in the future. He was very knowledgeable about this particular system, which was exactly what we needed.

My hot water heater exploded last week. Yes, it exploded. I had never heard anything like that before, not even a blown transformer. I'm sure it was amplified because the water closet was the next wall over! It was the Monday before Thanksgiving & I'm sure you can imagine my panic! I called around for quotes & availability. Not only was R.E.D. Plumbing available, but they were very competitively priced. They were able to send someone out on Wednesday before the long holiday weekend! I was without water from Monday when the water company came out until R.E.D. showed up Wednesday morning. (Even with the water turned off to the water heater, water continued to leak so it had to be shut off at the main.) Chris from R.E.D. was amazing & so patient with all of my questions. Very professional & very friendly. He even gave me tips on how to direct the water out of the heater closet to prevent further drywall damage. I'm saving their card for any future plumbing needs, & I highly recommend R.E.D. Plumbing for anyone else needing plumbing work, too!

We had a water heater that was 12 years old and it decided to go out this morning. I called R.E.D. Plumbing hoping that they could squeeze us in since I like taking hot showers. They said they were busy but would try to get someone out as soon as possible. Sure effort about 2 hours later I get a call and a plumber named Josh came out to take a look. After inspecting the heater he presented to me my options and I decided on a new heater. He mentioned that he had other appointments and might not be able to do it today, but after a while he decided that would install it today. Josh went and got the new heater, and drained the old one when while he was gone. He came back and as I looked on, he explained the process changed some parts to make everything work better for me in the future. I felt very comfortable with Josh's work and would highly recommend him. Great service and I didn't feel like I was getting 'ripped off'. I would definitely use them again.

In June 2018, I had a plumbing leak in the wall of our walk-in shower and called RED for a quote which was $850.00. I had scheduled an appointment with them to have it fixed. A day before, I called to confirm and they said they needed to reschedule for a few days later. A few days later, I was driving in from out of town to meet with the contractor on the morning they were to be here when I received a call 2 hours before they were to be here to again reschedule for 7 days later. I haven't been able to use this shower in over 3 weeks and it continues to get rescheduled. I finally had another contractor come in and got it done in the same week and under $100 savings. I used RED in the past and was happy with prior work...knowing that I was a return customer and still continued to cancel and reschedule me is totally unacceptable. I would never use this company again, and as a Realtor, would never recommend them to a valued customer.

Called another plumbing company $3000 to fix something that this plumbing company should have fixed or installed right the first time. RED plumbing did the plumbing on our Dorn home. One year into owning the home there was a water leak after the meter and RED had to come out and fix it. The plumber said they had installed something wrong. Well guess what it is leaking again. Called RED said they would come out tomorrow and when I called back to find out the time they said I was never put on the schedule and that they couldn't come out until Thursday. I owned my other house for 30 years and never had a water leak. Owned this one for 6 and this is the 2nd one. Of course it's not under warranty. Crappy work the first time and now can't even get them to come out and fix it. Time to call someone that will fix it correctly so I don't have a leak every couple of years.
