Red Plains Plumbing is unique. Angela and DJ are incredibly friendly. They know that business and can service the overlooks City area as well as form to Norman, up to Edmond or over to Yukon. Get your winter ready with them. They will take good care of you.
My toilet started leaking Christmas Day! We got it under control but needed professional attention. I called Red Plains on Tues. Mine wasn't an emergency so we scheduled appt for Thursday AM. I have to say these service appts always give me anxiety. Today 2 plumbers showed up and the experience was good! They left their shoes at the door and quickly assessed my problem. The issue was a simple fix. They were here about 30min, the charge was exactly what I expected and my toilet is fixed! I appreciate professional, efficient service at a good price. Thanks!
I have used Red Plains Plumbing ever since I Met DJ Thurman at a new construction Inspection. I was impressed at the inspection. Each time they have been responsive to my question. Each plumber that has shown up has been polite and made sure to address my concerns. Pricing is fair and they have not tried to get me to get or do something I did not need to do. I have since recommend them to Friends and family and everyone has come back to say what a great job they have done. So I just want to say Thank You and keep up the Great Work Cord Werner
Called up there to get an inspection done, Referred to our condominiums.. I have never been talked to or Rudely interrupted or been hung up on , or numbers Dialed in my ear while I was talking by anyone in business in over 20years. The receptionist was probably the rudest lady I’ve ever spoke to on the phone regarding business. I myself run a business and I could never handle myself like that or allow any of my employees to handle my business like that. I was simply telling her I will not be available in the morning times between 8 AM and 12 PM. But will gladly shut my business down to be there Monday through Sunday from hours of 12 to 4pm on ANY DAY. And she kept telling me We will put you on the schedule from 12 to 4 but if they get done earlier while they’re there, they’ll be there before then and if I’m not there rhey will reschedule.. So I’m simply explaining to her I wouldn’t want to reschedule cause I will be there during the hours of 12 PM and 4 PM & for me to shut my business down again because someone don’t want to come back out during that time would be ridiculous. She kept getting loud dialed numbers in my ear. Rudely interrupted me multiple times.. and HUNG UP ON ME.. I really encourage if your calls are recorded to re-listen to the entire conversation that happened between 1 PM and 1:30 PM today on 12/18. I would like for the owner of this company to please call me. Now I will say after she hung up, I did call back and talk to Banita. Told her the situation and guess what no problem got scheduled right in with no issues. She was awesome. No issue at all w/ her.
They destroyed my yard putting in a sewer line. Hit every line in the yard whether it was marked or not, broke my fence, and then covered everything up and pretended like they didn't hit anything. It took weeks to undue all the damage they did. They take no responsibility for their actions. They don't return calls, they refused to come out and discuss the situation. Would highly recommend finding another company to do business with. Most everything said in their response is a blatant untruth. Specifically, the communication with DJ. He did not communicate with me at all. I attempted to track him down daily, every conversation ended with unkept promises. He never called back. They did not send someone out to reset the fence. That absolutely did not happen. They never attempted to communicate or solve any of the issues that led to my frustrations. I don’t know who the owner is, but he never spoke with me. Horrible company, never do business with them
Some guys from Red Plains Plumbing came out to clear a slow washer drain but they just managed to get their snake stuck in my washer standpipe. Instead of apologizing and figuring out how to fix it, they claimed that this happened because of my drain and they would have to go straight to digging up the sewer line for $7,000 to $10,000! I told them I would not be doing that and asked for other options so they said a supervisor would call me back and left, abandoning their snake in my drain which was now completely clogged and backed up into my washer and kitchen sink... Fast forward through a couple of days of frantic calls to Red Plains which they didn't even bother returning and I called another plumber for emergency service. They were NOT complimentary and let me know the snake should not have been put through the washer standpipe and its four 90 degree turns, should never have been forced in until it knotted up, and after they removed it that Red Plains had used the wrong kind of head on the snake which was broken off inside the drain! What was just a slow drain was now a serious issue and I had spent over $700 but was much worse off than I started! I want to support small businesses like Red Plains because they're supposed to care more about their customers. Unfortunately with Red Plains, they weren't able to provide the resources, professionalism, and knowledge that a larger company would. Their office manager called and tried to help figure out a way forward but must have been overruled because a return visit to fix the problem lasted less than 15 minutes and Red Plains sent me an email saying there was nothing they could do. When I tried to find out what happened (again leaving many messages with no return calls) they just told me I should go with another plumber! Following their advice, I called a larger, more reputable company and what a difference it made! In less than the time it took Red Plains to get their snake stuck and block up my drain, the experienced plumbers found exactly where the head of the snake was lodged in the Y with a nearby floor drain, sent a camera down the floor drain to look at what it would take to remove the stoppage, and cleared the stoppage through a nearby cleanout that the Red Plains plumbers had just ignored! Instead of defaulting to the most destructive (and expensive) option, the new plumber had the tools and experience to correctly diagnose the problem and figure out a way to fix it where Red Plains couldn't. To cap it all off, Red Plains flatly refused to refund the charges for their "drain cleaning" which started this mess (be careful with all the fine print they put in their invoices which make you wave their liability for damages they do) so this was a costly lesson for me. In the end, what it comes down to is that you want to work with a company who will do what they say they will and help you even after they make a mistake. Based on what happened to me, I want to warn everyone that company is not Red Plains Plumbing. If you're considering hiring them then I hope the same thing doesn't happen to you too!
I bought a new house on 11-12-24. On 11-13-24 I had Red Plains install a water softener and filtration system. I had to use Red Plains to keep the warranty for the plumbing since they did the plumbing on the house. When they installed the system they did not check the water pressure. On 2-6-25 the canister on filtration system exploded and was notified that water was running out the garage. Red Plains came out and said the canister had frozen. I tried to explain that that the canister did not freeze. The plumber replaced the canister. On 3-14-25 the canister explode again. I called Red Plains and told them that it was due to high water pressure. Red plains was getting ready to replace the filtration system but they could not get the one they wanted. The checked the water pressure at it was at 150psi and it should be about 70psi. The plumber told me that I need a PRV and would be responsible for the repair. I did some research and learned that the water pressure in my neighborhood should be between 110 and 130 psi and should have had a PRV. The builder also used another company and they installed PRVs. Red plains did install the PRV and the Builder paid for it. I requested Red Plains to rep replace the water softener since I don't know what kind of damage to the water softener with double the water pressure. Angela emailed "We feel that since the inline filter was there it protected the water softener from any damages that could have occurred." To me they can't guarantee me that there was no damage. She also emailed, "there is nothing wrong or caused any damages that would be an issue at this time for us to replace your water softener." I am not concerned with at this time my concern is after the warranty is up. I expect a softener to last longer than 18 months. I spoke to a couple of water softener companies and the check water pressure before installation and high water pressure can cause damage to other parts or could place stress on the tanks. The water softener should have been installed with high water pressure. Red Plains would extend the warranty from 12 to 18 months.
Called Red Plains actually to get a second opinion . Had first company come out in which told me I had a collapsed line and gave me an estimate of $12,000 dollars and that was not including the newly remodeled bathroom that they planed on demolishing to get to pipes 🤯.. Called Red plains to come out for second opinion and Mason Hamilton showed up with Tim, & Mason went very throughly through all roof intakes and all outer mains with his camera. He took his time and gave me every answer I needed finding out I had been lied drastically too by last company, & almost took a loan for $12,000 dollars for work I never needed at all !!. I will absolutely not use another company, & value the honesty and integrity of this company more then I can express… Finding honest companies that value they’re costumers these days is very rare & I found my plumbing company that I “HIGHLY RECOMMEND” …!!! Thank you so so so much Red Plains & Masen for absolutely doing extraordinary work .. You saved me from getting burned big and my gratitude will be forever thankful .. I’d refer you guys and swear by you guys whomever needs the best !!! Genuinely thank you 🙏 ☺️
Called Red Plains Plumbing on February 7, 2024 due to a Natural Gas Leak. Brenda was extremely helpful with scheduling a service call that day. Plumber (Darien) came out, assessed the problem and realized it would need to be re piped due to my house being very old. Permits was secured, re pipe started on February 9. City inspector came out too early and did not pass the work due to a small leak. Brenda was still very helpful and calming on the phone. This was not the plumbers fault. Reinspection was scheduled for Monday February 12, City had to cancel. On Tuesday February 13, finally got inspected and passed. Through the whole process, Red Plains was very professional and nice. Darien and his workers were a great group of guys, that new their stuff. Brenda in the office was always professional. I might add, we were a first time customer and I will be sure to use them again. I would recommend Red Plains to anyone that needs plumbing.
Ok everyone!!!! Red Plains Plumbing was our answer for an issue that was ongoing in our home for over a year. We have a tankless water heater and it was going in and out of hot water. After multiple plumbers and companies, these guys found out the issue and fixed the problem. On top of that, they were so professional, courteous, listened to our frustrations, and helped get us the best price possible on new equipment that was needed. Darien was so knowledgeable about our issues that others weren’t able to explain. They were able to get what we needed in a hurry and he made us a priority, which was an amazing feeling for a family of 6. They even stuck around longer than usual after the job was completed to make sure we had all our questions answered and everything was working properly. Such the best customer service! I would highly, highly recommend Red Plains for all your plumbing needs, 1000%!
I called this company, wanted to get a quote on a Rinnai Tankless Water Heater install. A gentleman answered the phone. I told him what I wanted, he told me they didn't install Rinnai brand but only Navien brand, I told him I did NOT want a Navien. However, he still agreed to come give me a quote, BUT wanted a $100 for THAT quote! I told him, NO, that not going to work, and I have NEVER been told a quote would cost any amount of money. Quotes are just free when its come to business. He could have came to my house, quoted me 20k, knowing someone would never pay that, and make an easy 100 bucks from me. Obviously, I did NOT agree to this. I wouldn't let Red Plains Plumbing fix a water balloon for me now. Very bad business practices!
I had an amazing experience with Red Plains Plumbing in Oklahoma City! I called them about a clog issue, and they showed up incredibly fast. Within no time, the problem was fixed, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. What really stood out to me was how friendly, professional, and helpful the team was throughout the entire visit. DJ especially went above and beyond—he’s truly taking customer service to a whole new level. It's not every day you find someone who not only knows what they’re doing but also genuinely cares about making sure you feel taken care of. If you're in OKC and need a trustworthy plumber who gets the job done right the first time, I can’t recommend Red Plains Plumbing enough!
Red Plains Plumbing has been to my house twice this past week to fix two unrelated problems. Mason and Moises came both times. They came within a couple of hours after I called which I consider to be a very fast response time. They were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous and fixed the problems straight away. Thank you Mason and Moises. I would definitely recommend you and Red Plains Plumbing to my friends!
Called about a leak in our softener system which has a warranty. Still paid for the service call but then I get an invoice for over $400 for 2 tech fees for more time then they were here plus this part is under warranty. I was told verbally it be around $200. Nope they want to charge me double. If you want to be paid for that much labor than have the manufacture reimburse you since it’s their part that failed.
Horrible experience, Tech bid to change out roof pipe that was leaking. after not having the proper equipment they replace a 5 ft DBL wall pipe, $40 Top cap, $30 and a collar.$15 but somehow felt that even though they didn't replace the flashing as was agreed they still obviously feel that $1300 dollars is a fair price. they also will not allow me to speak to the owner, nor provide me an itemized work bill.
