Justin and Nate did an amazing job installing the Lennox Signature series HVAC. Everything was done exactly as promised. Greatly appreciate the professionalism and thoroughness in how everything was handled. Highly recommend!!
Tyler Warrington and his fellow worker installed my water conditioner today. They were very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Finding a contractor who balances quality work with helpful service is a rare find"
Our technician, Jaxon Newhall, was great to work with. He worked around our schedule to see us and was very understanding with our situation. We were able to agree on a unit and price and were lucky to have it installed the very next day. Both installers were really nice and personable. They did a great job, cleaned everything up like they’d never been there and were very thorough with explaining how to use the warranty if necessary and the unit itself. Very happy we used them.
After spending $14,000 one time and $10,000 the next, they texted me if they could give me another quote. I replied several times they could still fix my bathroom sink like they promised multiple times but never did. I still have not received a response. Om the first picture the sink drain is wide open but without turning off the water it will overflow. 2nd picture is after turning the water off and waiting. It will eventually finish draining today. Not good after paying $24,000.
I'm giving this company a one (1) star because it would not allow me to do less. During the hot days of this past summer, my system was having trouble keeping up with the temperature. I called my warranty company (Select Home Warranty) and they had Angler Air respond to my home. The Tech that came out to my property, and I will call him out was (JAMES BLOWE). If you see him come to your home, do me a favor DO NOT LET HIM IN. He is a good talker and will probably sell you something you don't need. In my case he didn't do anything, and then turned around and reported to the warranty company that he had to replace the contacts on the motor and replaced the thermostat. Too bad this company does not check on there employee who are stealing from consumers and making false claims. I would go as far as to say that this is normal practice since, I can not get thru Angler Air. SHAME ON YOU.
We had a very disappointing experience with Red Cap Plumbing. We were going to be first-time customers and chose them because of all the positive reviews we saw online. The call center staff was friendly when we scheduled our appointments, and the promotional deal sounded great — $25 AC maintenance and free water heater flushing. We scheduled two separate technicians, one for the AC and one for the water heater. The day before the appointment, they called to reschedule the AC appointment, and then called again to reschedule the water heater appointment, saying they needed technicians to handle emergency calls for customers without AC. We understood and rescheduled everything for the following week. Unfortunately, we received another call today canceling both appointments again for the exact same reason. At this point, it feels like customer service and honoring scheduled appointments are not a priority. I completely understand emergencies happen, but canceling on customers repeatedly after they’ve cleared their schedules is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. It gives the impression that technicians are being directed toward higher-paying jobs instead of keeping commitments already made to existing customers. If that’s how scheduling works, it should be communicated upfront instead of wasting customers’ time. This experience left a horrible taste in both mine and my husband’s mouths. Unless we have absolutely no other option, we will not be using Red Cap Plumbing for future maintenance or repairs. UPDATE Reply to Response: Thank you for taking the time to respond and acknowledge our experience. We do understand that emergencies happen, especially during high-demand periods, and we appreciate the explanation. However, our disappointment was never about emergency calls themselves, it was about having both appointments canceled repeatedly after we had already rearranged our schedules twice. As first-time customers who chose Red Cap based on the strong reputation and positive reviews online, it left us feeling like previously scheduled customers became secondary once higher-priority or higher-value calls came in. We also want to be honest that the level of communication and follow-up we received after leaving a negative review feels far more proactive than the experience we had beforehand. While we appreciate the outreach, it unfortunately reinforces our feeling that protecting the company’s reputation became a greater priority than providing reliable service from the start. At this point, we’ve decided not to move forward with rescheduling services. Even if things went smoothly moving forward, the trust and confidence we hoped to have in the company as long-term customers has already been impacted. We believe it’s more fair and honest to decline rather than proceed knowing we would likely not return for future services regardless. We do sincerely hope this feedback helps improve communication and scheduling reliability for future customers.
OMG. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. I don't know where to start about this company. And I am not excited... There is this owner Ryan and this lady who picks up the phone. I don't know her name but I think her name is Debbie which I am not sure. We ordered a simple part to fix our air conditioner and we were told to wait 3 days for them to get a part. I checked other small companies and they all had this parts. Of course Home Depot and Lowes have this parts as well. But I was claiming this repair through Home Warranty Company under my warranty, so I had to go with this company. What went terribly wrong. 1. I had to call three times and everytime I called there were answered by "Answering system" and this answering system people has no idea about Angler Air company. I asked simple question such as who's the owner? and they are like.... ugh, we don't know. three times (3 times) they never called my back. (they did not respond to my calls) 2. 4th time I called, this rude woman answered the phone. She sounds old and sounds like been with this company for a long long time, so I assume she might be Owner Ryan's wife. She was "Extremely" Rude and Unprofessional over the phone with me. She had attitude, raised her voice, did not have any excitement or desire wanting to be working there. I got a rude, getto attitude and response from her over the phone which I did not need to have, I finally had to hang up the phone with her. She made me feel really disgusted. 3. Parts never arrived. Although the whoe 3 days waiting time and wasting time, They never got a part (simply, not - to -hard -to get parts) and they never showed up. fortunately I was able to call/have a contract with another Air conditioning verndor. But I could have avoid this bad treatment from them and wasted my time. Because It was over 90 degrees and extremey humid, hot weather in tampa FL. We had to spend three, four days without proper air conditioning machine due to this incident. ONE ADVICE FOR EVERYONE - STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Especially the old rude getto Lady !!!!!! you'll be ripped
Our Air Condition went out on a Saturday. Due to it being a Holiday weekend we were told a technician wouldn't arrive until Monday, which while frustrating, was understandable. The technician arrives on Monday and after 15-20 minutes informs us that the motor is broken in the AC unit and it isn't something they can fix right away. We were told it would be an additional day or two. Tuesday goes by and we here absolutely nothing from the company about when they are coming back. Wednesday comes around and still nothing. We contact our property manager who gets in touch with Angler Air and we learn that they will be stopping by that day. Around 2:30pm the same technician from Monday knocks on our door unexpectedly. We received NO phone calls informing us he would be coming, he just showed up. 30 minutes later we are told the AC is "fixed" and it might take 3-4 hours for the house to cool due to it being so hot. Four hours later and the air has gone UP (88 degrees inside). We call our property manager who calls Angler and he is informed that we were their last call and they can't do anything until the next day. While sitting in the heat frustrated and uncomfortable we realize the fan outside is off. The technician had went outside on Monday, unplugged the circuit (or whatever it is) and did NOT plug it back in when he came on Wednesday!!! Once we plugged it in, the AC came on and was cool within an hour. We went five days without air, had NO communication from the company, and the technician who showed up was ready to be done with his work day and was careless. We are VERY, VERY disappointed with this company and will never recommend or use them again.
DO NOT USE. In 2020, I had Red Cap install a water heater. Red Cap never closed out the permit. I am selling my townhome. The closing process is being delayed b/c Red Cap did not close out the permit. I was advised by the City of Tampa, that Red Cap would need to inspect the water heater, open a new permit, and close it. After repeated calls (b/c I was never confirmed with by Red Cap) - Red Cap did a virtual inspection yesterday. As of this morning, the permit is still expired. We are set to close on Monday. Every time I call Red Cap, first I am greeted by an AI agent, then it goes to a call center. I cannot get an interested party on the phone without persistent effort. I am doing my best to bring this to Red Cap's attention so this issue can be resolved; however, it does not appear to be a priority to Red Cap. Instead of resolving my issue in a quick, timely manner, I have had to repeatedly call them to get any movement (process is still not complete), and the only communication I affirmatively get from them is from their marketing person asking for 5 star reviews. I understand the necessity of good marketing, but reviews should only be asked for when a complete job is done.
Red Cap Plumbing, Air Conditioning, and Electrical is a PHENOMINAL company to do business with. We use this company for all of our plumbing, electrical, and HVAC (air conditioning) needs. We have done business with Red Cap for many, many years in various homes that we have owned. Recently, we had extensive work done on our new house...installation of a new HVAC system, Hot Water Heater, Electrical Panel with surge protector, new outside faucets, new electrical outlets in our home and garage, etc. Red Cap completed each job right the FIRST time with professional and exceptional workmanship! We are "perfectionists" and Red Cap exceeds our expectations every time and warranties their work with a 3-year warranty and offers a membership program! The membership program is well worth the money! We highly recommend Red Cap especially after using other companies in the past. Your money is well spent on Red Cap Plumbing, Air Conditioning, and Electrical!!! Please know that we do not recommend companies haphazardly. We only write reviews for companies that perform EXCEPTIONALLY!
Shortly before Thanksgiving, I thought I had a hot water leak after finding water on my floor. Leak detection felt I had a leak in a copper pipe in my wall. Aaron and Jamie discovered the leak was actually under the slab. I was given the option of jackhammering my foundation to find and repair the leak or rerouting the water through my attic and replacing all my old copper pipes that are bound to start getting pinholes. After much anxiety, I opted for new pipes. Red Cap(Jamie) worked with me on financing. I'm a retired senior on a very limited income. So grateful to Red Cap(Jamie). The Red Cap plumbers came out Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, and changed out all my old copper pipes and rerouted the water bypassing the slab pipes. I'll NEVER have to worry about a future slab leak and my slab is in great shape. I had water by time the team left. They were wonderful. Very professional, worked non stop, orgainized, very nice and very informative. I felt in good hands. Thank you Ermion, Nelson and Tyler.
I purchased a brand new 3 speed variable unit (condenser and air handler) from RedCap 2 yrs ago that came with a ten year warranty for parts and labor. The unit has been incredible, it’s efficient, and quiet. Recently it seemed to be struggling to cool so I put in a service call. The service technician Zak Who’s very professional identified the issue right away and scheduled to have it fixed the same week. When you purchase the 10yr parts and labor warranty , they stand by their word at RedCap and know what they’re doing. They hire smart technicians and must take good care of them bc the guys that showed up seem to genuinely be happy doing their job. I would recommend looking at RedCap first before vetting other AC companies. My experience has been a very positive one so far two years in. And despite the small issue I had mentioned , I love the unit I bought - Lennox.
The AC guy could not install the new breaker unit for the new ac unit. The next day another electrician from the company came by and said the breaker is burnt into the panel. I was be told the panel company didn’t exist anymore so it has to be replaced. Cost $4000+. I researched the panel and parts were still available at Home Depot. I paid $22 for a new breaker in 60 amp. I shut the main power off and took the breaker across from it out and plied a bid and it came right out. No burn visible at all. So the repair cost me $22 vs quoted $4000 plus. Very disappointed in what I was be told, I understand everybody wants to make money. I just spend 13k for a new ac unit and was not paying another $4k for a breaker panel replacement. By the way the breaker panel what I have is still available on Amazon for $140 plus breakers!!!!!!
Zach Freitag, a Red Cap HVAC service technician, arrived at my home at the designated time to complete my semi-annual HVAC maintenance check on 05/04/26. I requested he come out for this visit because he is the technician who came out Several times before an addressed several issues I encountered with the system. I don't have enough words to express how deeply grateful I am for all Zach did to rectify the issues in the past, and, during this visit, ensured the system is working properly. contacted me when he was on his way and gave me an ETA. Zach's professionalism and concern for me as a customer was very much appreciated. He is very customer-centric and was happy to answer any questions I had. The peace of mind I have knowing that I can always expect the very best service from Red Cap technicians is priceless.
They showed up at the house. I have a AHS warranty on home. Tech tore open compressor and it was a bad capacitor. well it was a GE 3 in one. Tech didn't have one so instead he tapes and rigs three other capacitors together. Hooks it up then the air handler would not work. After another 20 mins, I was told it was a fuse. Well 3 days later system is not working. (I did ask tech if he wanted to go get a 3 in 1 capactor then come back I was told if he left he would not be back for another 2 weeks they were so busy.) Not really the craftsman I would want to have working on my equipment if I was paying 100 percent of the bill. What do I know retire mechanic and structural Ironworker
