Worked with Marshall and Dan, they repiped my entire home with all new copper. System has great pressure, in and out in a day! Absolutely recommended to anyone needing to transition from galvanized to copper.

Ray's Plumbing did an amazing job replacing my old A/C unit. The installers were polite, thorough and kept me updated throughout the process. Thank you for the friendly, high quality, and affordable service!

They came to our rescue just in time!! Our furnace was just about to quit all together and they came out the same day to install a new one. Very efficient and friendly installers, did a great job. Would definitely use Ray's again and recommend to everyone.

Parked next to one of there vehicles at a Menards in Glendale Hts,IL and there driver put a dent in my passenger rear qtr panel, I called and talked with there phone staff and was told i would get a call back, well that never happened of course. Take ownership when you damage someone's vehicle!

Purchased an AC and Furnace from Ray's for my parents home because they touted their warranty on April of 2021. Today November of 2023, the furnace would not heat, so we called for service. Under the impression that the warranty should cover all labor for 5 years, and parts for 10, we thought this should be covered. Instead, they arrived (charged 78 dollars to drive to our home) then charged my parents156 dollars to diagnose the issue, then charged them 82.80 to clean and test the flame sensor. So they were charged 316.80 for a unit that is fully covered under warranty, less than two years old. I would avoid doing business with this company as there are hundreds of HVAC companies that stand behind their products. This was my mistake for choosing Ray's for my parents HVAC needs. The company I chose for my own home doesn't charge me a penny to do service on my unit as that's what the warranty was for. If it inoperative, they take care of it as it should be. Ray's does not have that level of service.

We had a drainage issue with a catch basin in our backyard in which the pipes from our sump pumps are connected to. We called Ray's to see if they could put a camera down the pipes and tell us if there was a blockage and if our pipes were still in tact. We had someone come out on a Friday with a window of between 8am-11am and he didn't show up until late afternoon. When he got there he got his equipment out to find out the camera didn't work. He said the office would call us to reschedule. Tuesday of the next week we still didn't hear from anyone so I called them to reschedule and they were to come back later that week. The second time the same guy came out they gave me a window of 1-3pm and again he was late. After using the camera he found that we had some tree roots in our pipes so he was going to rod them out. He took out a small amount of roots and said he couldn't go any further because the rest of our pipes were too big and his rods would get stuck. He was here for about an hour and a half and charged us a very high price. We had no idea what a general range is for this type of work so we paid it but we are VERY unhappy with the work that was done and the price we were charged. On top of all that he said he would get a quote out to us about unclogging the rest of our pipes since it was a 2 man job. I've never heard from them since and our problem was not fixed AT ALL. We still had clogged pipes and no answers. The guy who came out was friendly but when we heard the price for the service we received we will not go back to them and not recommend them unfortunately.

I contacted them to obtain a quote for plumbing services. I was in the negotiation process in buying my first home and needed an idea of what cost I was in for if I purchased the home. Dan was originally very polite and I considered his questions about the situation as him being professional and trying to help. HOWEVER - after not hearing from him for 2 days I called to see about obtaining the quote he SAID he was going to email me. He started to explain to me how he felt I wasn't really going to go with Ray's for the services I needed and that if I PAID maybe $100.00 he could put a quote together for me. At the time I had not closed on the house so I could not go ahead and schedule ANY work to be done (SINCE I DIDNT OWN IT YET). Work that needed, and still needs to be completed. I believe it was unfair of him to assume that I would not hire them to do the work that the house requires. Now that we have closed and I am looking to contract this work out it could have been business to Ray's but because of this unprofessional experience I would NEVER call them again. How can a company expect to get contracted for work when they are making the choice to not provide a job quote to a potential customer?

If you want your Air Conditioner checked out and cleaned (they offered a special of $79.99), don't bother with these guys. I called over a week ago and set an appointment and took a day off work, they need a 4 hr window (be home from 8am - 12 pm) on Wed. Well this morning it was raining until 9:30, they call me at 10:40 and tell me they wont be out today because of the weather and no one was working (now mind you, it hasn't been raining in over an hr and the sun is shining). I ask why they waiting all this time, keeping me sitting at home waiting for my appointment without a call at 8:00 am to let me know. The girl who called said she did not know so I asked for a manager to speak with, well the manager was on the phone with another customer (probably giving them the bad news as well) so I said have her call me when she finishes her call. I am still waiting to hear from the manager. Total waste of time waiting for them. So, if you set an appointment with them and take a day off work to fit in their schedule, don't bother with this company. They don't work unless the sun is shining I guess.

$290.00 for a new igniter. C'mon! I am okay with the labor charge being time and half ($125.00) since it was a Sunday and the guy was upfront about that overtime charge on the phone.. But to charge $170.00 for the part that was seriously only $14.00 is ridiculous I saw the guy put it in the part and i am pretty sure it was this part here (link below) that costs $14.00 online. The thing that is really irritating is that it is the CHEAPEST igniter available. If you are going to charge 1200 % mark up on a part at least give me the good one. this was a generic part that did not even fit my system without needing to modify it and break off a small piece to make it fit. Pretty piss poor business practice if you ask me. https://jet.com/product/detail/9df91585e5484c989f7241eabef9752e?jcmp=pla:ggl:badnj_home_garden_a3:badnj_home_garden_a3:na:na:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15&k_clickid=4b0bdcc8-bda6-4e77-9a3a-5c88f53cacef&abkId=403-887639&gclid=Cj0KEQiAlae1BRCU2qaz2__t9IIBEiQAKRGDVSr94oshjXTDt5KBcPgNO_x1VaSMGW94-zw_nXdKG1saAhpa8P8HAQ Anyway. While they did fit me into their schedule for a last-minute furnace replacement that I needed, the resulting job wasn't the best. When they wrote me the quote I asked for the water heater to be moved (it was blocking the furnace). They just didn't want to quote me to move it, while other HVAC places said it would be no problem. When they were done the new water heater drain pipe was in the middle of the room, about 2 feet front he drain! When I have to do a drain test each month I'm not sure how I'll get the water to not shoot all over the place. I noticed after they left that they left the furnace on its max temperature. To me that's a big safety issue. When the village inspector came to review the work he said it was one of the ugliest jobs he had seen, but it was functional. Overall, while their intent is good I think they try to do the minimum amount of work and don't care about the details.

Never again. We needed a new hot water tank and called Rays. After a couple of days we started to smell gas and needed to call the Gas Company. This is what they found. 1. Gas company found a loose fitting from where the new hot water tank was installed and commented that those fittings should have been replaced. 2. The Gas company found that the exhaust flue pipe was not at the correct angle and had to be corrected at homeowners expense. 3. Installer needed to remove duct work from the humidifier to make room for new tank. Upon completion installer pushed duct work back in place and did not bother to retape it. When the Gas company representative entered our home he said the smell was strong. Thank God we were home and not out of town. I shudder to think what the outcome could have been. Perhaps some of your installers need more training. No excuse for this.

Ray's did a complete re-pipe of our brick ranch home in February 2023, replacing all old galvanized pipes with copper pipes properly secured and all new shut off valves . Dan presented an estimate and was willing to negotiate, the work was completed in 3 days and the holes made in the walls & ceilings were patched up professionally and all debris was removed. The crew was very well trained with many years experience, and well aware of plumbing codes and the proper way to do the job. Marshal and the crew were also very informative in the process, and open to hear any concerns I had and their willingness to address those concerns and explain it. This was a stress free job and priced fair, in the end my wife and I are very satisfied with the all the work Ray's team did.

After reading the reviews below I see I am not the only one who had to deal with a rude woman who is their customer service. Ray's had been out before and had done good work, but when I called this morning I told her my air conditioning was out she said "that will be overtime" when I said "Well it's still Friday," she said "Yea so what?" Ok then! I do get if you call on a weekend that that is an overtime situation and she could have explained they were fully booked and empathized to some degree. Calling Friday morning is not a standard overtime situation and in my mind deserves clarification. I made a call to a service with better ratings and they will be happy to come out and take a look this afternoon. Ray's you lost a good customer. . for life.

We have a ranch house on a slab. Back in July we started noticing water down the vent in the bathroom. We had another plumbing company out who told us it was just ground water; we asked the opinion of those in our village's building department who also told us it was just ground water. We were really skeptical because there was no water in any of our other vents and the ground water never evaporated - it was there 24/7. We called Ray's and they sent out their technician Mike. He was absolutely wonderful! He told us there was a leak under the bathtub drain, fixed it and the problem disappeared. Mike was friendly, professional, and very very thorough. We will not hesitate to call Ray's with any plumbing issues we may have in the future.

I needed a plumber to come over on Saturdays but all companies I called could come on Saturdays for only emergency. But Ray's Plumbing was able to come for service on Saturday. I told them to give me a call when they were heading and they did, and they were on time. David was a plumber and he did a great job. He was polite, quick and walked through everything and explained what he did and suggested how to fix minor problems. The cost might be a little higher but instead of going through other unprofessional customer services and jobs on other services, it's worth it. It was stress-free and saved a lot of my time. I am very satisfied and highly recommend Ray's Pluming.
